What happens when we’re converted spiritually, yet unchanged mentally? When using human remedies for spiritual issues, we become ineffective. We must be courageous, functioning under the anointing in atmospheres that are seemingly uncomfortable and chaotic. Remember, God doesn’t have to stop the storm because He can walk on the storm. Furthermore, our mission forces us to receive those people outside of our “normal” who are called to further His purpose. Our faith is the only currency accepted to access the blessings of the Kingdom. I decree that every malignancy that would deter you from reaching your goals will not cross over into 2020. the eighth chapter of the book of Acts

when you got a mighty leap in front of

be strong following Jesus you know it’s
like me when I was little I was tough

talking to you don’t want none of this
because I do my brother was there it was
gonna be all right you know but now big
brother Jesus has ascended on a cloud
that made his Exodus had gone to the
right hand of the majesty of high then
the Apostles with all of their humanity
and carnality are now have the
responsibility of carrying the weight of
the church Christ has birthed it what
Christ birthdays in the building is not
an organization it’s not a denomination
it’s not a Creed it’s none of that court
Christ’s birth is a living organism

manual and he birthed it without telling
them exactly how to go about it because
if God gave you every detail you

they must rely on the Holy Ghost which
they have just received a few years ago
to direct them in the early formation
and the infrastructure of the church
they like us have to rely on the
invisible to move the visible they have
to make sure they’re here in God
correctly that that’s not my mind that
that’s not something just coming to me
that I’m not being influenced by my

they have labored to walk up under the
counsel of the Almighty God they got so
many problems going on I can’t even
begin to talk about what all they got to
deal with they got to figure out what to
do with Judas they started the church

pick somebody you don’t like who’s done
things that you don’t like but god says

that pastor because his strength is made
perfect in our weakness if he picked

gets somebody he’s going in the opposite
direction

at a vulnerable moment they kept trying
to meet in Jerusalem and Paul was
wreaking havoc destroying whoever he
could they couldn’t give themselves
together Jerusalem was home base it was
a Washington DC of the of the church it
was that place where decisions were made
where the council met where they got
together they kept going back to
Jerusalem because the Holy Ghost fell in
Jerusalem because Jesus had walked the
streets of Jerusalem and you know how
when you get in trouble you’re uncertain
you want to go back to home base but God
will not allow them to stay in their
comfort zone and so through persecution
last week I preached about rejection
through persecution and rejection they
receive direction and God was making
them scattered God knows how to scary
lord have mercy I wish we had some

you some stuff God knows how to just
scatter everything you got playing move
you out of your comfort zone get you
into a place of vulnerably vulnerability
where you have to trust him you ain’t
got nobody to trust he’ll let everybody

this text is extrapolated there’s all
kinds of craziness going on and
everybody’s trying to figure out what to
do with their life and they’re trying to
figure out that we need stuff that there
is no scripture for we need things like

or John but our apostle said we need
deacons because the work is too great
for us and they’re trying to put
structure and he gave some apostles and
some prophets and some pastors some
teachers some evangelists for the
perfecting of the Saints can we all come
into the work of the ministry Jesus had
not delineate it their authority like
that he had not set up an organizational
chart they had to get an organizational
chart they had to organize they had to
get to infrastructure they had to deal
with problems they had to judge saying
they had to correct people who were out
of order they had to get it all together
and while they were fighting only out of
all of these things that were happening
growing pains of starting anything on
the other hand they were having to fight
off the people who were trying to kill
them because the same people who hated
Jesus when they got through hating Jesus
they hated those who followed Jesus and
Jesus had warned them about that he said
they hate me and they will hate you so
you have to be able to function and
atmospheres of dislike and discomfort
that message hasn’t gotten through to
our church world today what we think is
we’re going to pray to God fixes the
condition and when he fixes the
condition we’re going to flourish

you’re gonna flourish with the condition
not fixed with trouble on the right side
and trouble on the left side don’t know
how I’m gonna give this done don’t know
where my help is gonna come from
but if you don’t learn how to flourish
in the middle of chaos you won’t
flourish at all let’s do this say I’m
trying to get you ready for 2020 I’m
trying to get you off a baby milk I’m
trying to get you off a Pamela I’m
trying to get you where you can stand
where you will not be in pediatric and
your understanding of what God is able
to do in the middle of a storm
he doesn’t have to stop the storm he
could walk on top of the storm it got so
bad they were killing they were
beheading they were scourging they were
rounding up they were incarcerated they
were putting them in jail now i’ma tell
you something it’s a whole big crowd in
here today but if they sure throw us in
jail for the name of Jesus don’t expect

intimidated and insecure and God was

Jerusalem and it got so bad that his

and that was exactly where God wanted
him to be because up until this point
salvation and the power of the Holy
Spirit had only felt amongst Jews for
the most part you see that the
conversion of the Jewish nation and the
Jewish people of faith was was evident
in the early formation of the church all
the disciples were Jewish you don’t get
to pick the color of the disciples of
the color of Jesus don’t be stupid the
Bible is clear to their genealogy is
clear to where they came from they were
all Jesus was Jewish

intimidate it is shocking to me how one
person in the wrong place can create
total chaos for an entire massive group
of people just one hell you if you’re
not careful one person can come into
your life and tell your life of one
person if you’re not careful to come in
and split your church and tear it all
apart one person to come in and tear
your country all apart one person I’m
coming to your company and tear your
couple apart and it is shocking how dumb
smart people get with a manipulator gets
into power
you wouldn’t believe it you have to see
it until you see it you all believe
Simon has got everybody held up and he’s
a witch he’s the winch he’s got a spell
on Samaria he’s wreaking havoc in
Samaria now you must understand that
Samaria was not a preferred place for
the Jews to go no way remember the woman
at the well told Jesus
your people don’t have no dealings with
me so they weren’t accustomed to dealing
with Samaria to begin with but they are
starting to realize that they cannot
sequester Jesus and lock him into their
group oh god help us with that too
because you know what we think we own
Jesus we think we get to say who saved
and who’s not saved who’s real and not

who’s authentic and who’s not our city
we think we can hold Jesus down to our
denomination our organization our
community our group our culture you know
all of Jesus his name should be called
Emmanuel the God who brought from us us

now all of a sudden this this this leash
likely city in this non-traditional City
as it relates to Orthodox Judaism this
is a place where everything’s happening
and Philip is in the midst of him and
he’s outnumbered he’s outnumbered he’s
surrounded by people who are all up

spell Hill Simon got baptized they

of me Peter rebuked the spell until the
witch got saved the Bible says that

have no reason to doubt the account that
Luke writes in the Acts regarding Simon
Simon has become a believer and now he
is following Philip God will turn it
around God will turn it around you’re
following me Philip comes into a city
where he’s outnumbered
Simon is a head honcho he’s large and in
charge
he’s Bo SS he’s got it going on and the
next thing you know the Holy Ghost has
flipped the script and the one who was
the head has become the tail and the one
who was the tail has become the head I’m
talking to somebody about a switch that
God can execute in your life and turn
everything absolutely around

now Philip has come into power rebels
broken out in Samaria there’s a move of
God and now Simon is following Phil oh I
want to talk to you about three things
that stood out to me in this text one of
Miz’s of money the other one it’s a
mission and the third one is a
malignancy the money the mission and the
malignancy and I want to start with the
money because we’re really going to deal
with this because while Simon is
following Philip and experiencing the
power of God he notices that the power
of God is using Philip in such a
powerful way Peter and John and now come
down to help them they’re laying hands
on people and they’re being filled with
the Holy Ghost and the power of God was
falling on people who the Jews did not
even believe to be a people of God what
do you do when the Paragard falls on
somebody that doesn’t match your
theology will you clean to your theology
and renounce the people over hell my god
or will you embrace the people and
change the theology God doesn’t need to
meet with the board of the committee or
the Internal Revenue or anybody else God
will save whoever he wants to say he
will feel Catholic folks Baptists for
Methodists for I don’t care what you are
agnostic atheist the Holy Ghost will
invade your territory he’ll come right
into the muscle he’ll go anywhere he’ll
go everywhere he’ll throw us right tell

touch anybody because God is God
and he always will be God then well
Simon is watching embassy the power of
God
Simon reaches in his wallet and says I
want to buy me some of that yeah what
about me some of that I’ll get into a
deeper later but you see Simon has lost
his old power he was Simon the sorcerer
when the story started now he’s been
converted in his spirit but his
mentality hasn’t changed that’s most of
what I see today people seriously come
to their altar and they give their heart
to Jesus but their mind has never
changed when I came up we told girls
just make sure you got a sane man a
brother that go to church glory to God
then we found out that a brother can go
to church and church not go to him
we tell our son just get you a nice
Christian girl glory to God and she goes
to children we found out she will take
that prayer cap off hate that skirt up

has changed and been converted but his
mentality has not transformed and and
there’s a vacancy in his heart for power
and influence and he sees the power of
God flowing through the Apostles and he

the Holy Spirit but it is how you go
about getting what you want
that is the test it is always about how
you go about getting it it’s not about
not wanting it you’re not supposed to
want it it’s how you go about getting it
it’s like Jesus after he had been
tempted in the wilderness for forty days
wanted bread there was nothing wrong
with him wanting bread the enemy wasn’t
tempted him about the bread he was
tempted him to use his power for selfish
reasons to get the bread so you can have
a right desire and go about it the wrong
way I’m preaching already I’m preaching
already but I want to talk about the
money first I want to talk about the
money because because there’s some
things that we have to understand spill
particularly in this country this
capitalistic society where we value
money so high and there’s nothing wrong
with money but there’s something wrong
with us
and when you take what’s wrong with us
and you give it more money it gives it
more power and it becomes more more
dangerous and our value system in a
capitalistic society centers around our
dreams all centered around money and it
has infected and affected the church –
most of the time when you get people
coming up for prayer it’s always about
money
our mentality is we need a miracle I’m
believing God for a car I’m believing
God for a house I’m believing God for a
coat I’m believing God for our house I
believe in God to send my kids to
private school I hate to tell you this
there are eight years that sitting there
kids in private school
they’re drug dealers that have a car
that’s not a miracle you don’t need God
you need a good job you need to come to
work you need to save your money you get
you a car you don’t need to call on
heaven and provoke the Angels to get a
car that magical mentality is killing
the church we are asking God for stuff
that we can do ourselves oh god help me
so I thought when I read the dresser you
got all of this stuff you got you got
money here and you got power and you got
religion and karna and money and
religion and power and carnality does
strange things to a society I remember
going to the old man in castles in Ghana
and looking at what money and religion
do mix with power
you know the slave castles with the
church above it and I was shocked to see
it
I’d really but to see that the church
could exist above all of the slavery and
debauchery and abuse and killing and
rape and upstairs hissing rz3 hey ah we
see when money and power and religions
get together they create strange
bedfellows because we will we will use
our religion to justify our greed you

they owned the Bible and when the

always had a funny relationship with

have we used it to justify to turn

attitude about money
the one scripture that every Christian
knows is that the love of money is we
talk about that all the time because the
church historically and particularly our
grandparents really emphasized their
scripture because this creature makes
people shout especially when they don’t

we always demonize what we don’t have
and though we said the love of money is
the root of all evil
we heard money is the root of all evil
yeah yes so we think that money is a bad
thing when the Bible also said it is God
that gives us power to get wealth so I
want you to understand that and it also
warned us that with it well then it
becomes difficult to get into heaven
because money Optimates people arrogated
and and selfridge thrown in egotistical
and and they don’t humble themselves
down like they should when they have
research that’s why I might either
because the more God blessed me when I
tithe
it is my way of breaking the grip of
finances over my life I make my money
honor God because if I don’t make my
money honor God my money becomes God
and bringing my money to the altar it
said I have a higher power and a higher
principle that supersedes my finances
and I will not allow you to be my god I
will make you bend your knee and worship
my god I will have no other God before
me see there’s a difference between when
a person is is broke and they give their
giving in the hopes that God might trust
for them as God begins to prosper you
the challenge is not to allow that
prosperity to become your God I’m

thing on a materialistic level money

Scripture and faith comes by hearing and

because you’re not taught that Scripture
when you pray so you’re when you’re only
taught that the love of money is the
root of all evil
there’s a sense of evilness about asking
for money and you don’t have the
authority to stand there and pray for a
bully because you don’t understand
that money answers all things if you
understood their money answer of all
things then once you have that you can
pray about things that are more
important that money can’t do like save
your daughter like save your marriage
like save your son like heal your tumor
like all come on somebody you you see we
got a separate one from the other or
we’re gonna be like silent if you don’t
separate which thing does what you’ll
miss your life up like Simon go to

wisdom is of the French and money is or

money isn’t offense but the excellency
of knowledge is that wisdom giveth life

won’t do I want that to sink deep down
in your soil so that you can get things
in their proper perspective that which
is natural is natural that which is
spiritual is okay that which is natural
