The Obligation Of Liberty – Liberated by Faith: A Study of Galatians – Part 12 – Dr. Charles Stanley
Are you trusting in Jesus or your good works? Dr. Stanley continues his examination of Paul’s letter to the Galatians in “The Obligation Of Liberty,” as he guides us through Galatians 5:26–6:10. Paul encourages the Galatians to find unity by exercising their liberty to serve one another. By carrying each other’s burdens, they will live by the Spirit and fulfill the law or Christ. Dr. Stanley cautions that if we are still burdened by law or trying to gain God’s acceptance, we will have little to give to someone else. But as liberated believers, when we find someone in need and can minister to him, we are obligated to do so. with a message from God’s word here’s
Charles
Stanley if you’ll turn to Galatians
chapter 6 we’ve been talking about all
the freedom that we have when we come to
chapter 6 then he talks about the
obligation of our Liberty in Christ
Jesus so let’s begin with the last verse
of chapter 5 and go through verse 10 of
uh chapter
6 he says in verse 26 it really sort of
matches goes along with uh this part in
chapter uh six he said let us not be
desirous of vain Glory provoking one
another envying one another he says
Brethren if a man be overtaken in a
fault ye which a spirit shall restore
such an one in the spirit of meekness
considering thyself lest thou also be
tempted bear ye one another’s burdens
and so fulfill the law of Christ for if
a man think himself to be something when
he is nothing he deceives himself but
let every man prove his own work and
then shall he have rejoicing in him in
himself alone and not in
another for every man shall bear his own
burden let him that is taught in the
word communicate unto him that teacheth
in all good things be not deceived God
is not marked for whatsoever man sth
that shall he also reap but he that sth
to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption but he that Seth of the
spirit shall of the spirit reap life
Everlasting and let us not be weary in
well doing for in due season we shall
reap if we faint not as we have
therefore
opportunity let us do good unto all men
especially unto them who are of the
household of faith the obligations of
our Liberty in Christ Jesus and so what
are they well one occasion when um
General William Booth could not be at um
a Sal big Salvation Army convention he
sent a telegram and the telegram only
had one word on it and that’s others and
that was the key I believe of his whole
life always thinking about others and if
you think how many times in the Bible it
talks about loving one another here
bearing one another’s burdens pray for
one another and what is really saying in
this sixth chapter the first part of
here is this that having been redeemed
and delivered from this hangup and this
bondage of trying to match up to
acceptance of others and match up to the
expectation we thank God has now that we
have freed and liberated now watch this
very carefully now that we have freed
and liberated from all that and we’ve
accepted God’s acceptance of us we’re
not trying to measure up to get anything
from him by how good or how hard we try
and our works and so forth now that
we’ve been freed from all of that we are
free to best do
what to love somebody else listen if you
are hung up on trying to get God’s
acceptance you have little to give to
somebody else if you hold life is
wrapped up in trying to get you straight
enough that’s why sometimes people say
well I’ll tell you I just can’t get
involved in that because I got enough
problems of my own what they’re saying
is I’ve got my own Hang-Ups and I’m in
my own bondage to the point that there’s
not much I can do for anyone else so he
spent the first five chapters telling us
how freed and liberated we are because
of our relationship to Jesus Christ now
on the basis of that and because we’ve
been set free by the grace of God and
the work of Christ in our life through
the Holy Spirit now that you and I have
been set free and know that we’re
accepted now it is time for us to
understand their obligation it isn’t
that we’ve got to match up we know that
we’re free so it waits till five
chapters later after the five chapters
of telling us how free we are to say now
based on your knowledge and
understanding and experience of your
freedom in Jesus Christ now is the time
you need to understand that that is an
obligation with it and that obligation
is to love somebody else so notice if
you will what he says in chapter 5: 26
he said let us not be desirous of vain
empty Praise of
men and conceit provoking one another
that is challenging each other and
getting in a competitive spirit with
some other Christian he says don’t do
that and envying one another he says
None of that’s of God now you’ve just
been liberated from all the Hang-Ups so
he says he remove yourself from that and
then he tells us here what our
obligations are our first obligation as
a liberated believer is what my first
obligation he
says is to restore a fallen brother look
in verse one Brethren if a man be
overtaken in a fault you who are
spiritual restore such a one in the
spirit of meekness considering thyself
lest thou also be tempted now listen
notice what he says he says overtaken in
a fault what that means is that a man
slips up that is he does intend to do it
he doesn’t willfully sin he says
overtaken in a fault and that means
something that even surprises him it’s a
false step a blunder a slip a lapse in
his life he say a man who’s overtaken
the fault he doesn’t intend to do that
he doesn’t mean to make that mistake he
doesn’t mean to get off on uh on the in
left field over here somewhere but he
does and he says when he does it is our
responsibility to restore him that is to
repair him and the same word in the
Greek here is like repairing a broken
leg now if a man if a man has a broken
leg you’ve got to handle him how very
carefully and very delicately you’ve got
to be sure that he’s moved very
carefully tended to very very mercifully
very kindly he says when we see a
brother who has been overtaken that is
Satan has snared him he didn’t intend
for it to happen he’s overtaken the
scripture says something grabbed him and
he’s overtaken theault he says the
liberated brother now watch this and I
cannot tell you how important this is
listen to me the liberated brother and
he’s the only one who can really do a
good job at this who is not worried
about whether that fellow who’s been
overtaken in The Fault accepts him or
not he’s not trying to get his
acceptance he’s not trying to get his
approval he’s not trying to get him to
like him but because he’s liberated he’s
to go after his brother and attempt in a
delicate passion whatever the problem
may be to restore him and to repair his
fellowship with Jesus Christ and his
fellowship with his Brethren he’s not
talking about a lost man he says
Brethren if a man be overtaken the fault
he’s talking about a Christian brother
who slips and Falls he says now do that
remembering this he says do it in the
spirit of meekness
not you blew it and we say you know we
could see beforehand you weren’t going
to make it doing what you were doing now
let me show you something here because
there are two ways to come to a brother
you can come to him in the spirit of
legalism or the spirit of love that’s
only two ways to go look if you will in
Matthew chapter 23 for a moment because
Jesus had his biggest problem with
religious people who were
legalistic and in the 23rd
chapter listen to what he said about the
Pharisees now the Pharisees were the
legalist of the
legalist and the verse three of chapter
23 says all therefore whatsoever they
bid You observe that observe and do but
do not ye after their works for they say
and do not Jesus speaking about the
Pharisees he says for they bind heavy
burdens Grievous to be born and they lay
them on men’s shoulders but they
themselves will not move them with one
of their
fingers legalistic you know here’s a
fellow has a problem can’t help you it’s
the Sabbath cannot walk but so far in
other words willing to watch your
brother go down in utter defeat because
their legalistic concept of religion and
faith and the Christian Life won’t allow
them to do it and then if you’ll notice
in uh well two or three things that you
know by heart you don’t need to turn
them what about Luke 18 for example
remember the public and the Pharisee
were praying and here’s the Publican
saying I’ve blown it I’m not what I
ought to be God be merciful to me a
sinner and here’s the legalistic
Pharisee I thank God that I’m not like
him because after all look at him
I tie I do all of these wonderful things
I’m glad I’m not like him and I want to
tell you something friends I hate to
admit it but there’s some folks who sit
on the church pews who are as legalistic
as the
Pharisees they cross every tea dot every
eye in their own personal Ten
Commandments Thou shalt not do this Thou
shalt not do that thou shalt not do the
other and you don’t find any of that in
the Bible now they got a few of the
biblical uh Commandments mixed up in
those to sort of validate what they’re
doing remember the woman who was caught
in the very Act of adultery that brought
to Jesus and thrw it down and said now
good Master what do you say the law says
Stone her to
death here are the legalist she’s a
fallen woman Stone her to death that’s
what the law says that’s what legalism
says give her her just
rewards that’s the response of
legalism when a fell gets down kick him
real hard and then when you’ve kicked
him you just sort of grind him in the
dust spiritually after all he had the
same chance you
did the response of Love is what Jesus
said neither do I condemn thee go and
sin no
more let me tell you something there’s
not a man or woman in here whose feet
are not made of soft clay and you know
what he says he says restore such a one
in the spirit listen of meekness of
humility and love not from the point of
view of a legalist you should have known
better but in love which says man God’s
forgiven you I’ve forgiven you cuz for
the grace of God it could have been
myself in the spirit of meekness why in
the spirit of meekness considering
thyself lest thou also be tempted
there’s not a one of us that is
beyond beyond Temptation and falling not
a one of us and he says when we see a
brother who stumbled we had to go to him
as a man with a br broken leg handling
his emotions and his Spirit very
delicately reaching down the spirit of
love not
legalism because you see the truth is it
doesn’t make any difference what he does
he can still be forgiven there’ll be
times when you go to people and they
won’t let you help them you’ll try to
restore them they won’t let you restore
them there’ll be times when you will do
your best with someone and in spite of
everything you do they will turn a deaf
ear and they will continue in their sin
regardless and ultimately wreck their
life there’s some people like that but
here’s what we must remember even though
you come across some folks say I don’t
want your help I’ll take care of my own
business that doesn’t mean that the next
guy who falls we shouldn’t go after
him he says whatever we do it is to be
in the spirit of love and not from the
legalistic Viewpoint well after all you
had the same chance I did so why did you
blow it because he says if you do you
must remember that any any one of us can
fall second thing he says we must do
because we’ve been liberated not worried
about people’s opinions not trying to
get their acceptance he says we to Bear
one another’s burdens verse two says
bear ye one another’s burdens and so
fulfill the law of Christ he says one of
the obligations and responsibilities of
the liberated believer who’s been freed
and Unshackled to be what God wants him
to be or what it’s her to be that person
listen and watch this and this is the
key and I’m going to repeat this every
time because you have your own accept
acceptance before God and your
acceptance is in him and you’re not
worried about what this fell is going to
think you offer yourself to get under
his burd you say well you know I may
offer up myself and he may turn me down
if you got a poor self-image and you’re
hung up and you feel rejected yourself
and you’re trying to get his approval of
somebody else approval of God’s approval
you’ll say well you know I I would help
him but you know the last fell I tried
to help didn’t do a bit of good so why
should I try tell you why y’all try
because he said
try he says we to get up under the
burden of somebody else and help them
share whatever they’re
carrying now you know the best burden
bearers there
are the folks who’ve had to Bear the
same
burden that’s just something about
knowing how it feels isn’t it when
somebody comes to you laughing and
joking say I hear you in trouble want to
help you out boy don’t give me that kind
of help if my heart’s broken and I’m
shattered I want you to come to me
letting me know that you’re getting up
under burden because because you know
exactly how heavy that
is he says we are to Bear one another’s
burdens that’s part of the
obligation of the believer he says
fulfilling the law of Christ what what
did Jesus say for example the two laws
that satisfied all the rest of them he
said we to do
what love God and then what love my
neighbors myself now listen look at that
if I love somebody else the way I love
myself I’m going to going to hurt with
him that’s bearing one of’s burdens we
can’t take the load off of that person
and sometimes listen sometimes that
burden is something that they may be
partly responsible for in fact they may
be responsible for the whole thing not
necessarily a sin but a mistake that
they’ve made not the same as the fault
this fell has taken uh here in the first
verse that refers primarily to a sin
mistake he’s made in his life and his
own uh spiritual life but here’s a guy
who’s under real burden
and you see as a Believer sometime we
say well he got himself into that mess
let him get himself
out that’s the legalistic point of view
the love point of view says he got
himself in that mess by the grace of God
I’m going to help him get out
now be very careful when you go rushing
in under somebody else’s burden
because sometimes that thing may be a
weight that God has allowed to teach him
a lesson and and when you begin to share
someone else’s burden one of the first
things you want to do is in your own
prayer life discern God how much of this
am I to share am I to try to take this
off of that person or am I simp you see
they’re different kinds of burdens if
it’s something that God has put that to
get his attention don’t you think you’re
going to get under that burden take it
off because if you do you’ll get the
pressure so what you want to do when you
ease up to somebody to help them bear a
burden you want to ask God to give you
direction is this a god-given burden is
this burden something that as a result
of something they purposely got
themselves into or or out of ignorance
got into or or something someone else
has done to them what is it because you
want to be sure that God wants you to
help take that burden off you need to be
careful when you’re Discerning the type
of that burden all right let’s move on
he says for if a man thinks himself to
be something when he when he is nothing
he deceives himself now I want you to
notice what he means here he says um if
a man thinketh himself to be
something that is if he thinks he’s
morally Superior ethically and morally
Superior to others if he thinks he’s
that way what he’s doing is this will
motivate him to Sher his responsibility
you see if a fellow says well you know I
couldn’t be touched with that I know
that people have these problems but
after all they could never bother me he
says what a man does when he thinks he’s
morally Superior to other
people Satan subtly uses that sense of
moral superiority in order to back him
off to say well you know that’s not my
responsibility because I wouldn’t do
that I’ll tell you Satan can trick us
trap us and suddenly deceive Us in more
ways than we could ever imagine that’s
what he’s saying he says now don’t let
yourself think that you’re are moral
Superior that you’re beyond Temptation
because what you’re doing you’re
deceiving yourself and what you’re doing
is you you will sh your responsibility
to Bear someone else’s burden and
attempt to restore a brother verse four
but he says let every man prove his own
work then shall he have rejoicing in
himself alone and not in another now
what he means here by proving is the
word is doimo which means to be tested
to be tested in the end result is to
have approval that is that you stood the
test he says let every man prove his own
work that his own work and and his own
that is test himself out then he knows
that his
rejoicing is in what God is doing in his
life and not something that he’s doing
and he’s not comparing himself with
someone else he say n another we’re not
to compare ourselves to other people
because none of us knows what the other
person really thinks on the inside and
you see you could look at somebody and
say now boy if I could just be like her
she is the finest most moral ethical
person I’ve ever met I’d like to be just
like them you don’t know what kind of
battles that woman may go through
morally on their own heart spiritually
we don’t know what kind of battles other
people go through so we have no right to
consider ourselves Superior or inferior
to anyone else because you see there’s
just one you so you can’t be inferior
how can you be inferior when there’s
nobody to compare you with anybody else
would be an unjust comparison because
there’s only one you and God intended
that you be different so he says don’t
compare yourself with each other all
right verse number five here he says
here we are in verse five what what he’s
saying is because I’m a liberated
believer I am to maintain my
responsibility and look at this verse
for every man shall bear his own burden
now here’s the difference the pH the
fellip here in verse two is really
loaded down with something that he needs
to get off of him but there it is verse
five this fellow also has a burden but
this man is like a soldier who has his
pack on his back he’s got a tent rolled
up in that pack and a shovel hanging
down beside it and the steak and he’s
got a food compartment and so forth
there so he’s got a pack on his back
it’s a burden it weighs 20 lbs he’s on a
40m hike he’d like to get rid of it
after the first mile but it’s there now
for him that burden is a responsibility
in his training as a soldier he is
responsible for carrying his own tent
his own shovel his own food his own
ammunition and all the rest that’s part
of his responsibility so he’s not to let
anybody else care that and he’s not to
Sher that responsibility by giving into
someone else as a liberated believer God
says that you and I have certain
responsibilities that we are to fulfill
because we are God’s Believers and those
responsibilities are god-given
responsibilities not to Bear us down and
wait us down but they are there because
that’s part of living every man here has
a responsibility to take care of his
family now if you’re driving your kids
to school tomorrow morning and uh you’ve
got a big car pool and uh have a big
flat tire
your neighbor comes along and they take
the children to school well they don’t
take them Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and
Friday just because you had a flat tire
on Monday the responsibility is still
yours but today you had a flat tire so
he helps you out and you see we can’t
Sher our responsibility by saying well
I’m a liberated Christian God doesn’t
expect anything of me and you see for
the first five chapters I have
emphasized underlined
overemphasized you don’t have to do
anything to be accepted you’re freed in
the eyes of God but that does not mean
that I do not have some responsibility
as a Believer for example you have a
Sunday school class to teach on Sunday
you don’t show up you say I’m
free well that’s a distortion of freedom
because God freed you in order that he
may use you to the maximum of those
people so you don’t show
up that’s not Freedom that is
irresponsibility so he says here that we
have a responsibility in some areas and
the word here for burden in the Greek is
foron which is a different word than you
find up here in uh verse two and uh that
uh word is baras which means weight so
we’re talking about two different kinds
I am to share my brother’s burden but
then there are some burdens that I can’t
give anybody else because they belong to
me because I’m a Child of God all right
move on to verse six he says let him
that is taught in the word communicate
and that word here is the word Coria
which means uh fellowship and the word
here in in the uh as a verb tense is to
share or to give or to participate in
and here’s what he’s saying let him that
is
taught in the word of God share in or
share unto or with him that teacheth in
all good things which says for example
the body of Christ when someone teaches
you the word of God you ought to share
in that person’s life in all good things
for example the word communicate here
means to share in and as a liberated
believer we are to share with
those because their life is being
blessed through them he says we’re to
communicate all good things to them
verse S he says now likewise as a
liberated believer I am to invest my
life wisely he says don’t you be
deceived God is Not mocked that is you
can’t turn up your nose at
God for whatso man Seth that shall he
also reap if he SWS to his flesh he’s
going to reap corruption if he SWS to
his Spirit he’s going to reap life
Everlasting and let me show you what he
means here and I suppose of all the
things that bother me this is one thing
that bothers me most of all about folks
sometime when I see a fell who’s got a
lot to
offer and
somehow he just never gets all the
pieces together some sometime it’s
because he just won’t commit himself to
Christ and sometimes maybe it’s because
he doesn’t know how but I see gifted
people that I love dearly and sometimes
I just want to get up under them and say
look come on just follow me let me show
you how to get a good running start and
then I’m going to leave you and let you
keep running but I just want to get you
started don’t settle for something less
don’t hang back when God has given you
so much and you just sort of hang in
there just make it from week to week and
just go on that’s not God’s best for
your life listen to what he
says he says don’t be deceived who’s the
author of Deceit the devil don’t let
Satan deceive you that is you can’t turn
up your nose at God and tell him you’re
going to live your life just like you
please in other words you know what God
is saying but having heard what he says
listen having heard very clearly what he
says you say yeah that’s right but after
all I’ve got a mind of my own it’s my
life doesn’t belong to anybody else
shall do my own thing now listen he says
when a person knows what they ought to
do and deliberately turns and does their
own thing it’s like turning up your nose
to
God he says don’t let Satan deceive you
to think that knowing the truth you can
turn up your nose to God because here’s
what he says there is a law in the
universe it will never be changed it is
the law of sewing and reaping he
instituted that when he created the
world if I sow one grain of corn what
can I
expect if I seow one grain of corn
answer these questions what can I expect
corn I can expect how much corn the same
amount of corn or more
corn I can expect to reap it the day I
SED it or later so here is the principle
in the universe it can’t be changed I
reap what I
sow more than i s later than I sow and
it you live to be a million years old
you won’t change the
law that’s why he says be careful don’t
be
deceived because he says as Christians
we’re sewing one of two things he says
either I am sowing to the flesh now
watch this that is and all of us have an
old fleshly part of us we have a
principle within us that loves to sin
and a principle than us that loves to
obey God and it’s there doesn’t mean I’m
split up and down the middle that’s just
the principle there because I’m still in
the old flesh and the flesh has
desires but if the gratification of the
flesh that is if we choose to yield to
the desires of the flesh it is when we
allow these desires and we move in the
direction of thinking that gratifying
these desires will complete us or
fulfill us or bring us contentment in
our spiritual life our relationship to
God when we think that everything is
just like short circuiting the whole
believer’s life here’s what he says he
says you’re going to seow in one of two
directions he says you will either sow
your life to the flesh that means that
you will in listen now you will invest
your thinking to fleshly things that is
uh sensual ideas or greed or jealousy or
Envy or whatever it might be he says you
can seow your thinking processes that
way and in return you will get in back
into you what jealous envy and
sensuality and greed will reap that is
when you become Sensual You distort your
life and God’s plan in your life when
you become bitter you reap the rewards
of bitterness which is dissension within
broken up emotionally within a divided
mind a leak in your energy all kinds of
things happen he says now if I sow to
the flesh if I attempt to gratify My
Flesh and I get out of the Lord’s will
and the only thing that I want is I want
to satisfy me the appetites the human
natural appetites of the man of the
woman if that’s what I seow my thinking
and my energy and my time and my money
and my talent to I’m going to get what
all that reaps and so to the flesh I get
flesh more flesh and later I’m going to
get everything I sow I’m going to get
more of it and later than I SED it and
that’s why you and I need to say to our
children here is the will of God and if
you step out of that thinking that
you’re GNA wait till you get about 25
years of age then you’re gonna get your
life straightened I want to tell you you
can wreck a whole lot of Lifetime from
18 to
25 he says don’t let Satan deceive you
thinking that you can so and so and so
and so and so and so and so to the
Flesh and
reap in the spirit he says it is a
Divine law that says you cannot do it on
the other hand he says if you direct
your mind Hood spiritual things soaking
up the word of God fellowshipping with
people who will Build You Up seeking the
mind of God wanting to know the Lord
walking in the ways of God learning to
trust him learning to pray sharing your
faith he says you’re going to reap all
that that brings and you’re going to
reap more than you sow and you’re going
to reap it for a whole lifetime and fact
beyond that into
eternity see the real truth is that
we’re all a bunch of farmers that’s what
we are
you may live right in the middle of
asphalt but you’re a farmer because
every one of us practice every day the
law of
Agriculture you reap what you sow more
than you sow later than you sow and you
can’t ever change that when you
deliberately premeditate decide
beforehand
program to sin against almighty
God and in your Hip Pocket you have the
promise of
forgiveness so why not after all God’s
going to forgive me there’s one thing
you
forget there’s a difference in
forgiveness and
peace
secondly even though God forgives
me that doesn’t eliminate El
minate the
consequences of certain sins no way to
eliminated that’s why if your idea is
brother I can sin against God as long as
I’ve got God’s forgiveness after all
he’s going to forgive and everything’s
going to be all right no he will forgive
you there’s no question about
that but there’s some things that will
never be right
if you violate certain principles
they’ll never be
right there’s some things you don’t want
to live
with and when he says if you swow to the
flesh you reap flesh you swow to the
spirit you reap the spirit what he’s
really saying here is a liberated
believer I’m obligated before God to
invest my life in the things that are of
God and not the things of this world he
says if you’ll notice in verse 9 let us
not be weary and well-doing for in due
season we shall reap if we faint not
what is he saying here he says don’t
lose heart don’t despair in well-doing
you say you know man I’ve plotted along
years and tried to do my best and wanted
to be what God he says don’t don’t lose
heart in doing the right thing for in
due season we shall reap if we faint not
for example here’s the farmer he gets
out here and he plows and swws and plows
and sews and and things don’t come out
just right so he says it rains then it’s
hot and it’s dry suppose he says man I I
quit it hadn’t rained in two weeks
forget it I
Quit he won’t never reap anything what
he’s saying here is listen as a Believer
you don’t ever have to give
up he says listen remember this when the
bottom drops out in your life remember
this in Du
season we will reap if we faint not
verse 10 as we listen as we have
therefore
opportunity let us do good to all
[Music]
men is especially unto them who are the
household of faith you know what he’s
saying he says as the opportunity
presents itself to us as liberated
Believers not trying to get anybody’s
approval not worried about the rejection
not not worried about all the things we
used to be worried about just because
we’re liberated and freed in him and
accepted by
him he says let us do good let us do
good to what all
men and isn’t this interesting he said
especially those that fellow
Christians let me ask you a
question could it be said of you
that your life is patterned like this
that every day you seek to do
good to
others let me tell you something the way
you answer that will tell more
about your relationship to Christ that
will the other fellow you see if I’m
really
free I’m not thinking about me I’m
thinking about the other guy but if I’m
not free I’m so worried about me I’m
hoping some listen I’m hoping somebody’s
going to do me good I’m hoping
somebody’s going to validate me I’m
hoping somebody’s going to love me I’m
hoping somebody’s going to help me I’m
just hoping that somebody is going to
underguard me and somebody’s going to
accept me and somebody’s going to
believe in me and somebody’s going to
trust me and somebody’s just going to
help
me if that’s what I’m thinking I can’t
do good to
anybody because all of my antennas are
out saying help me help me help me help
me but if I’m liberated my antenna’s out
to see who can I do good to listen now
watch this not to get acceptance not to
get reward but what out of a heart that
is Flowing with love love is always
flowing out to somebody else so he says
as we therefore have opportunity let us
do good to all men especially unto them
who are fellow Believers in the Lord
Jesus
Christ
now only you know where you are in your
own emotional makeup if you’re freed
liberated
unhung and just joyous in the Lord and
if you are he says start pouring your
life out into somebody else and if
you’re not but you need to get freed and
the primary obligation of the liberated
person pouring their life into somebody
else and loving them and listen the more
you
pour the more you get filled up and the
more you pour the more you get filled up
and you see the vibrant overflowing
radiant joyous happy believer is the
person who’s doing what just pouring it
out God’s pouring it in pouring it out
well God’s pouring it in what is the
principle that says this guys His
blessings are getting larger and larger
all the time give and it should be given
to you what good measure pressed down
shaken together running over it’s coming
not
because you want to prove
anything just because you
love that will magnetize this
unbelieving world
father you gave us the most beautiful
example in
Jesus and he said as the father ha sent
me even so send I you to
love and to pour out your life a living
sacrifice to others you said especially
of the household of faith so
tonight we’re asking
you to lead each of us to make a
commitment not by accident
but that we will
purpose we will
purpose to do good to others and
especially those of a household of
faith teach us how to do
good to those about
us that means a sensitive
heart sometimes a little
creative but more often than not just
doing the natural thing the spirit leads
us to do for that other person sometimes
a handshake sometimes a little
hug sometimes a word of encouragement
sometimes a little financial help
sometimes a promise to pray or to pray
right there father you know all the ways
and you know all the situations all of
us will be in so you’ll show us what to
do once we make the commitment to
do what Liberty
has freed us to do is our prayer in
Jesus name amen
