Living in the Balance of Grace & Faith – Andrew’s Classics – Season 3, Ep. 10

Living in the Balance of Grace & Faith – Andrew’s Classics – Season 3, Ep. 10

[Music]

well hello everyone and welcome back to

this episode of of Andrews Classics

where we’re talking about living in the

balance of Grace and Faith and I’ll tell

you it has already been just an

incredible time really of sitting down

with Andrew pulling some different

things out of him getting some

Revelation and and just uh seeing how

this has progressively been impactful

upon his life and really causing him to

think differently to grow to to expand

the vision that God has given him and I

think it’s been challenging to me

personally yeah you know it’s not only

about seeing what how this can impact

other people and the word of God in at

work in other people is how do we begin

to make this personalize this and make

this part of our own testimony to see

the greater things that God has in store

for us yeah we were just in the dressing

room unchanging which maybe you didn’t

need to know but you

were just talking this stuff is so good

I mean we just get so

excited talking about these things

because um even in the last episode

there just I honestly I was just looking

through it just pages and pages and

pages of notes and comments and just

nuggets for all of us just to just to

talk about as far as you know the both

sides and so we’re really and if you’ve

been noticing if you’ve been following

along with us in these episodes really

talking about Grace and then faith and

he says oh but what if people say this

well then and he jumps right into these

key topics and then over here in Grace

again over here in faith and I just love

even in that last episode like the

aspect of then applying our faith is we

do got to we do have to get into the

word which people on the outside may say

oh you’re so religious and you’re doing

so many works but it’s all about our

resp our our attitude like I’m not doing

this to get God I’m getting this to

understand God you know and Andrew

really jumped into Hebrews chapter 4 in

our last episode where he talked about

just the aspect of entering how how the

children of Israel never had never

entered into the rest that God had

provided for them and it’s amazing

because he went through all went through

verses 1- 11 and it it talks about that

rest and talks about that progression

that we’re called into but then also in

verse number 12 the word almost it

almost seems to be disconnected but it’s

not it fits perfectly in where it

actually focuses upon the word it says

for the word of God is quick and

powerful and sharper than any two-edged

sword piercing even to the dividing

aunder of the soul and the spirit the

joints of the marrow and and and is a

discerner of the thoughts and the

intents of the heart what’s incredible

about that is that it identifies what

the word of God is so powerful in doing

yeah is it draws us out to a place where

we we have the opportunity to truly

trust in what God is speaking in his

word more than what we see around us

amen and and you know when we talk about

again going back to the Hebrews 4 which

we talked about the last laboring to

enter into that rest it’s like the rest

is what Grace provided yes and the

accomplished it is finished work of

Jesus and then I’m going to give you the

Holy Spirit is’s going to lead you in

guide you into all truth and all

understanding and he’s going to show you

right the things to come the things that

belong to you and then this this

activity then a faith of what we’re

getting ready to come into so I like um

when Andrew was talking about uh just

his journey of just being in the word to

get to a place yeah of peace with God

and just of I’m not going to worry I’m

just if God said it I’m going to do it

and I’m like he said and I wrote it down

he said uh he says just hide and watch

because he’s talking about the the

campus build down says just hide and

watch because sometimes people will look

at your faith and be like uh yeah okay

whatever and they they don’t get to say

whether you’re right or wrong the word

says whether you’re right or wrong God’s

voice to you and so um sometimes you can

get then this confidence not arrogance

but confidence of just all right hide

and watch yeah he just okay all right

you if you don’t want to believe and you

don’t want to join my faith that’s okay

I’m going to rest in what God’s told me

and then he says um he says so you can

get on board in faith and rest with him

talking about Andrew’s talking about

this with the campus and the things and

the network and all the things we’re

believing God for he said or not and

stand in disbelief and wait to see what

God does yeah and I think I I I love

this because when you are resting in God

and you have this assurance in God it

does create this boldness well and I

think that you know Andrew has talked

about before how you know when you you

conceive something in your heart it’s

actually more exciting to him than when

he actually sees it with his physical

eyes because he says he talks often

times how the time of conception is even

more fun than the time of birth well

yeah cuz we have to do the

birthing well the thing about it is is

that that’s for him he’s already seeing

with his spiritual eyes the things that

God has birthed in the vision that God

has given him that’s what Grace does it

just it ignites that’s why he can say

you just you sit back and you watch you

or you hide and you watch you just wait

to see what God’s going to do because

for him it’s already done it’s already

complete and that’s that’s the same

confidence that we can have in the word

of God that we don’t wait to see it no

when the word of when we see in the word

that’s when it becomes our reality and

then later on other people can see it

too and they can Rejoice with us over

something that we’ve we’ve seen maybe 9

months 6 months 3 months ago because we

got that principle from the and it just

it takes off this pressure off of you

and I and then that’s what faith does

now as do we push do we labor yes but

it’s not this pressure it’s like the the

the the labor is that I’m going to

continue to speak to my flesh I’m going

to continue to trust in God I’m going to

continue to speak to my emotions but if

God said it then it’s mine Amen period

Well we have some more principles we’re

going to go through with Andrew during

in this next clip so um sit back relax

enjoy this time we’re going to jump into

next clip and then we’ll be back again

afterwards to discuss it even

further but you know what you have to

respond in faith to what God does

through his grace through his goodness

it’s not going to automatically

happen and let me just make some

applications here that there are some of

you watching this program and you may

think it’s a total mistake that you’ve

watched but you know what God is

speaking through me to you you’re doing

things that you know are

wrong you know I had a woman come to one

of my meetings recently and she was she

wanted me to pray for something and she

whispered in my ear and there was a lot

of noise around I said I can’t hear you

and she had to say it two or three times

and finally she says uh I’m living I

forgot the exact wording but I’m I’m

living in sin and would you pray for me

and I said I want to know specifically

what you’re doing well she was shacking

up with the guy she was just living with

him she was a young girl she was

attractive looking she was shacked up

with a guy and I said you’re wanting me

to pray for you you’re wanting God’s

benefit in your life but you are just

throwing open a door to the devil to

come in and to destroy you and to kill

you and I said if you want God’s

goodness it’s not that God demands that

you be worthy of it and earn his favor

that’s not it but you can’t have one

hand out to God and the other hand out

to the devil it’s like God will bless

you and the devil will just take it from

you as soon as God blesses you and gives

it to you I said if you want to

experience God’s goodness you need to

quit this you need to get out and she

says but I’m I I’ve got all my stuff

there I’m living with I don’t have a job

I couldn’t make it on my own and I said

live in the street do whatever you’ve

got to do but quit living in sin I said

the very fact that you’re coming to me

and asking for prayer shows that you’re

convicted about this God’s been speaking

to you and I said you need to yield

yourself to God and resist the devil

again I’ve used this verse every day

this week James 4:7 submit yourselves

therefore unto God God is telling her

get out God was convicting her that’s

the reason that she came and wanted me

to pray so here’s God you she needs to

submit to that and then resist the devil

it’s the devil that would have her just

shack up with a guy and not make a

commitment and not be married to him and

so I said yield to God resist the devil

and he’ll flee from you and this girl

just started crying and I don’t know

what the final result of it was but I

prayed that God had just help her to do

what’s right and that she’d stand up and

you know we we weave these webs and we

get ourselves entangled in things and

dependent upon other people and stuff

but I tell you for my myself if I was in

a situation and I came to realize that

this is sin I’d get out of it

immediately I mean I wouldn’t let the

door hit me on my way out I’d be gone

and I know that many of you don’t look

at things that way and that’s the reason

that you hadn’t got some of the benefits

and the testimony that I’ve got is

because I am quick I don’t do it

perfectly but I’m quick to try and

submit myself to God and resist the

devil God is a good god the Devil is a

bad devil if it’s good it’s God if it’s

bad it’s the devil if you will yield to

God you’ll get good if you yield to the

devil you’re going to get

bad God is not the one that’s doing all

of this evil God does not just control

everything these verses that I’ve used

Romans 8:28 do not say that God will

make anything even you shacking up with

some person work together for good oh

you could get AIDS you could be on the

brink of death all of a sudden come to

yourself turn to God and start having

faith in God and it could work out for

good but I can guarantee you as often as

not you’re going to die from that you

don’t have to have that tragic situation

in order to learn that you should have

been serving God and seeking God the

whole time you can do that you can let

the word of God correct you you know

parents are commanded to correct their

children but there’s a right and a wrong

way to correct if a parent was to take a

tube before to their kid and just beat

their brains out and cause brain damage

that’s wrong I guarantee you there’s not

a Civilized Nation that wouldn’t

prosecute the parents that is not

correction that’s

abuse God gave kids extra padding on a

certain part of their body so that you

could correct them there there’s a right

and a wrong way to do it likewise God

doesn’t correct you with cancer and with

disease and with divorce and with

failure there is a right and a wrong way

to correct and God corrects through the

word all scripture is given by

inspiration of God and is profitable for

Doctrine for Repro for correction so

that you might be made perfect

thoroughly furnished unto all good works

you don’t need

life’s hardships to teach you things you

can learn it through the word of God and

see if you if you start blaming God for

all of these hardships yes you could

learn through them but if you start

blaming god well then that would make

God in a sense guilty of child abuse God

doesn’t do that there is a certain way

that God has a correct in you and that’s

through the

word so we are talking about balance of

Grace and Faith and we just finished um

this old clip where you’re talking about

saying no to sin and why what is so key

about Sin and talking about Grace and

Faith and why is it important well

because anytime you go to talking about

Grace and saying it’s not based on your

performance the people who criticize

that are going to come out and say well

so you’re encouraging people to sin

you’re saying it doesn’t matter because

the only reason that the average person

resists sin is because of a fear that

God is going to punish them so if you

take away the punishment and say that no

you’re accepted by Grace and it’s not

based on your performance their question

is well then why I live holy yeah

because the only reason they were living

holy is so that they wouldn’t be punish

punish him yeah but the answer to that

is that the love of Christ will compel

you to live Holier accidentally than you

ever have on purpose before so

um most people are actually uh they’re

manipulated motivated to do the right

thing by fear of punishment and when you

start uh using a love motivation they

just think that people won’t respond to

that yeah so I would say this

that fear is a more common motivation

everybody understands fear but love is a

stronger motivation and if a person ever

really understands what God has done for

them through Grace they will wind up

serving the lord and so uh it doesn’t

lead you to live in sin matter of fact

over in 1 John chapter 3 it says behold

what manner of love the father has ha

bestowed upon us that we should be

called the sons of God therefore the

world knows us not because it knew him

not beloved now are we the sons of God

and it does not yet appear what we shall

be but we know that when he shall appear

we shall be like him for we shall see

him as he is and then the third verse

says and every man that has this hope in

him purifies himself even as he is pure

so if you really see the love of God it

will cause you to purify yourself any

person who says oh I’m I’ve accepted the

grace of God and it encourages them to

go live in sin that’s not the grace of

God Amen because God’s grace teaches us

to deny ungodliness and worldly lust

second yeah second chapter of Titus

Chapter 2: 11 it’s the whole it’s that

whole aspect of the goodness of God

draws you to repentance and there and

that you said there are

um people that are wanting God’s

goodness but they’re still wanting to

live for the devil over in 1 John

Chapter 2 I believe it’s verse four says

he that saith I knoweth him and keepeth

not his Commandments is a liar and the

truth is not in him mhm so anybody who

says that oh I I know him and yet

they’re out just living in sin now

there’s a difference between failing all

of us fail but a person who is living in

sin promoting sin and defying openly

what God’s standards are they’re a liar

yeah yeah a person could fail but they

will be convicted of it and they

wouldn’t be promoted

they wouldn’t be like for instance they

wouldn’t say that God made me a

homosexual and this is the way God wants

me to be and start trying to twist

scripture to justify it that’s um those

people that say those kind of things do

not know God noen no I remember when I

first um I had been obviously legalistic

in in religion for 22 years before I

ever really heard the grace message when

I first heard of car and I would were

having conversations and I said uh

really Grace is a great revealer it

shows you what’s already in your heart

if you feel a license to go out or

freedom to go out and sin then that was

already in your heart to do you you just

didn’t do it because uh you were afraid

of the the the circumstances the

repercussions but if you feel free now

to go out and love the Lord that was

always in your heart to do but you’ve

been given freedom to do that yeah but

you know there’s I’d say that most

Christians when they’re trying to talk

somebody out of like being an alcoholic

or something like that they’ll sit there

and say don’t you realize that this is

ruining your health you could get

therosis of the liver you realize it’s

uh costing you a lot of money don’t you

realize that you could wind up having a

car wreck and killing yourself or

killing somebody else yeah and they will

talk about these things that are all

true and those are good enough reasons

not to be a drunk but what if they came

up with something that you could drink

and get high and yet never get therosis

of the Le liver if if it was free if

somehow or another they could guarantee

You’ never hurt yourself or somebody

else does that now make it okay see it’s

still wrong even though these

consequences are there if if somebody

could come up with a drug or something

that could eliminate all the

consequences it’s still wrong because

the number one reason that it’s wrong is

because you are turning to a bottle or

to drugs to cope with your hurt and your

discouragement and stuff instead of

turning to the Lord that’s good God

wants to be that source so so the real

motivation for living holy should be

because God is the source of everything

God God loves you God wants to help you

to deal with your problems instead of

turning to a bottle or turning to a drug

buten again most people have been

conditioned that the reason I need to do

what’s right is because I’m going to be

punished by God or punished by Society

if I do these things and that’s the

wrong motivation yeah and love will will

set them free from the condemnation and

at the same time set them free from

depending on something besides God

that’s that’s so good and you used in

here again the scripture where we talked

about submit yourself to God and resist

the devil and so and that was episodes

back we talked about that uh if if you

think God’s in uh the you know the cause

of everything you never resist the devil

in the same way if you take that same

thought well then all temptation and

every difficulty it’s you just might as

well submit to it and then you find

yourself hardened and captured by sin

and so um and you said this you said um

for yourself you came to realize um that

you would that that that was something

you’re going to flee no matter what the

cost you were going to flee it um and

this was this was a clip again 20 years

ago um you said you no matter what and

you said even at that time that’s that’s

the reason you’re seeing all the

Miracles in your life at that time

because you had decided I’m splending to

God and I’m resisting the devil on every

possible occasion and I think anybody

who’s Born Again has a desire to do that

but you know the scripture says that the

law is the strength of sin that the law

made sin come alive and revive the first

quote was from 1 Corinthians 15:56 the

second one’s uh Romans chapter 7 the law

uh made sin come alive it deceived me by

it slew me it condemned us and on and on

so a person who is truly Born Again

wants to live for God but if they

haven’t heard the truth and if they’re

still under a legalistic mentality

they may be dominated by sin it says in

Romans 6:14 sin shall not have dominion

over you for you are not under the law

but under grace yeah but if you are

under a law well then sin will have

dominion over you so a person could be

born again and still really struggling

with some sin or addiction or something

like that because they haven’t heard the

truth they’ve been living under religion

but if you are truly born again your

heart has been changed you have a desire

to live for God and so anybody who would

take Grace and sit there and use it for

a justification for going out and living

in sin and living in morally and yeah

doing stuff they’re a liar y they are a

liar now again you could fail and

struggle because you haven’t heard the

truth but any person who would promote

sin has not yeah had their hardship

because like I think you’ve even said it

too that some people just they can

perish because there’s a lack of

knowledge they’ve never learned their

Authority or their identity and so they

still believe those lies even though

they’ve received the Lord but what

happens if they don’t change then the

sin’s going to harden their hearts and

they could eventually just turn away

from the Lord yeah that’s another thing

I got a whole series on that Hardness of

Heart but it says that your heart

becomes hardened through the

deceitfulness of sin Hebrews chapter 3

and it’s not that sin changes God’s

heart towards you but it changes your

heart towards God it makes you cow

insensitive and you don’t want to do

that God is speaking to all of the time

amen but if our heart is hardened it

says in Mark chapter 8 that you can’t

perceive you can’t understand you can’t

hear it makes you dull of hearing yeah

so it’s not that God quits speaking to

you but you quit listening because your

heart has become hardened through sin I

mean and then this also goes back to the

aspect of the sovereignty of God because

sometimes people think that God will use

sickness or different things to teach

people lessons if they are in sin to try

to get them out of sin and you did

address that you talked about how God

doesn’t God doesn’t correct us that way

he corrects us a better way through the

word through it says in 2 Timothy 3:16

that all scripture is given by

inspiration of God and is profitable for

Doctrine for reprove for correction for

instruction and righteousness that the

man of God might be perfect thoroughly

furnished un all good work so good so

that says that the word of God is what

corrects you and reproves you and it

makes you perfect that means complete or

mature yeah so you don’t have to have

sickness and disease and poverty and

hard ship to make you better amen God is

a better God than that so good now you

can learn by hardship I’m not I’ve

learned by hardship I’ve made mistakes

and boy you go beat your head against a

wall you’re going to say that hurt I’m

not going to do that again but you don’t

blame God for that that’s you that learn

by your Hard Knocks so you can learn by

Hard Knocks but that is not God’s method

yeah he doesn’t use tragedy to teach you

something although he can turn around

tragedy if we run to can use anything

but he doesn’t do that absolutely all

right well we’re going to watch the new

clip or the new one uh talking about the

same subject and then we’ll be back to

talk and ask you more

questions if you really knew God you

would live holy therefore you can look

at people who are living Unholy and say

these people don’t know God now it’s

possible that they could know him as

Savior and still not live holy because

the Bible says faith comes by hearing

and hearing by the word of God and maybe

all they heard was just you can believe

and get forgiven of your sins and they

that’s all the faith that they have and

they haven’t heard the rest of it and so

they’re living a substandard life and

getting substandard results because they

haven’t heard the truth but to a large

degree or majority you could say that

people who are living an Unholy

life are living that way because they

don’t truly know God if you knew God

knowing God will make you live holy it’s

not the other way around living holy

doesn’t make you know God and then in

the next verse it says he that saith I

know him and keepeth not his

Commandments is a liar and the truth is

not in him well nobody wants to be a

liar nobody wants to be totally void of

the truth we want to know God so what do

we have to do people would read this and

say well man it I just keep his

Commandments and then I’ll know him

again no that’s

dyslexic that’s the opposite of what

this is saying keeping the Commandments

doesn’t cause you to know him but

knowing him will cause you to keep the

Commandments

that’s really awesome it says in verse 5

but whoo keepeth his word in him verily

is a love of God perfected hereby know

we that we are in him well people read

this and say well I want the love of God

perfected in me so what do I have to do

well I got to keep his word and then the

love of God will be perfected no this is

saying that when the love of God is

perfected in you the results will be

that you will keep his word keeping the

word does not cause the love to be

perfected you have to receive the love

and then that will cause you to act out

his word and to live holy as a

byproduct man I hope that you see what

I’m saying many people probably watching

this program are saying I don’t see any

difference what’s the difference it’s

huge difference it’s a huge difference

if I am doing things in order to gain

your acceptance that is completely

different than me just accepting your

acceptance and you loving me

unconditionally and then I’m so touched

that in response I am doing things for

you but I’m not doing it to gain your

acceptance I’m doing it in Thanksgiving

and appreciation for your

acceptance and I don’t know if you can

understand that but that’s different if

you could translate this to a marriage

relationship if you just have to con you

know if you have to remember every

birthday every anniversary

every little thing and you’ve got to

give a present and it’s demanded and

it’s commanded of you and you do it in

order to keep peace that is totally

different than a person who just loves

you unconditionally and whether you

acknowledge their birthday or

anniversary or anything it doesn’t

matter and then you give some and it’s

just totally a free gift and then they

appreciate it because it was voluntary

that is completely different than having

it demanded of you you know I remember

when we first got married that Jim’s

family was into all of these things you

you had to observe birthdays and stuff

my family was the opposite I mean if you

got a gift on a birthday it was unusual

we didn’t give birth Day gifts we didn’t

we might have a cake sometimes sometimes

we didn’t I mean it just wasn’t a big

thing we didn’t observe certain days but

in Jim’s Family boy you did and so it

was uh I think Jamie ‘s father’s

birthday I can’t remember the occasion

but anyway it was some occasion birthday

or or Christmas or something

special and anyway I came over and gave

Jim’s dad a gift but it was late I

didn’t do it early I didn’t rush over

early in the morning I gave it to him

but it was later in the day and he just

well I wondered if you were going to get

me anything and he was really put out

and stuff and you know what that did to

me it made me want to say well take it

back amen I’m not I’m not going to give

this to you if that’s the attitude that

you had it was like you owed me this and

you’re late you nearly missed it see

that’s that takes all of the joy out of

it and there’s many people that they

look at their serving God as a duty as

an obligation something they have to do

to appease an Angry God and to keep him

blessing them I’m telling you totally

changes your relationship when you

understand that God is good that God is

never going to reject you he’ll never

leave you his gifts and his callings

he’ll never take away even when you mess

up God is going to be faithful to you

and then you serve him not in order to

get his blessings but in Thanksgiving

and gratitude for what he’s already done

for you it changes

everything I know that this is going

right over the head of a lot of people

but for those of you who can receive it

man this would just totally transform

your relationship if you would start

serving God out of love and not in order

to be

loved that is huge let me just share

this with you out of Romans chapter 6

here’s another passage of scripture that

kind of you know shows this spiritual

dyslexia but in Romans chapter 6 and

again if you were to take the entire

book of Romans in context it’s all

talking about the grace of God that’s

what the gospel is and in Romans chapter

6 and in verse 20 it says for when you

were the Servants of sin you were free

from righteousness now I’m going to read

on down through verse 22 but before I

get there I’ve just got to Define some

of these things what’s it talking about

when it says when you were the Servants

of

sin well this is talking about before

you got born again we were servants the

word servants here is a Slave

we were enslaved by sin so before we

were born again we were a slave of sin

and we were free from righteousness what

does it mean when it says you’re free

from righteousness does this mean that a

person who’s not born again can’t do

anything that’s right anything that’s

good certainly not there’s people that

don’t know the Lord that they are kind

to their family they’re kind to certain

people people who treat them good

they’ll treat them good there’s people

that go out and do good things they come

up with inventions they help people

people who don’t know the Lord can do

good things but what this is saying is

those good things don’t change your

nature you could be a good person you

could be doing good things you can go to

church you can pay your ties but if you

haven’t been changed in your heart your

goodness doesn’t change your evil nature

we were all born separated from God and

we must be born again and so your

goodness can’t change your Badness you

are at your core before you get born

again a child of the devil is what it

says in Ephesians chap 2 veres 1

through3 we were by Nature a child of

the devil that was our core and you have

to be born again your goodness can’t

change that core in the Old Testament it

says can a leopard change his spots and

the obvious answer is no you are by

Nature a sinner and you have to be born

again you can’t just improve and work

your way out of it that’s what that’s

talking about so it says when you were

the Servants of sin you were free from

righteousness you could do right things

but it didn’t make you righteous you

were still a sinner by nature in verse

21 it says what fruit had ye then in

those things whereof you are now ashamed

for the end of those things is death but

now being made free from sin and and

become servants to God you have your

fruit unto Holiness and the end

everlasting life now in verse 22 it’s

using the exact same terminology but in

applying it in the opposite direction in

verse 20 it says you were Servants of

sin that’s talking about before you’re

born again verse 22 says now you are

servants to God so if servants to sin

was talking about before you got born

again servants to God is talking about

after you’re born again in verse 20 it

says you were free from righteousness

that didn’t mean that you couldn’t do

anything right but that righteousness

didn’t change your nature you were still

a sinner by nature in verse 22 it says

you are now made free from

sin does this mean that once you get

born again you can’t sin obviously not

now I just did a radio interview with a

guy and he was telling me that he cannot

sin that he is absolutely holy and it’s

impossible for him to sin ever since he

got born again and anyway it was just

hard for me to talk to him that’s the

only person I’ve ever heard say stuff

like that most of us are very aware that

even though we’re born again we can

still sin matter of fact those verses

that I was using 1 John chapter 2 verse

one it says my little children these

things right I unto you that you sin not

and if any man sin you have an advocate

with the father so right there in

context it’s talking to Believers and

yet it’s saying if you sin we have an

advocate with the father Jesus Christ

the righteous so most people are well

aware that as Christians we can still

sin but this says we are free from sin

this doesn’t mean you can’t sin but it

means that the sin you commit doesn’t

change your Born Again righteous nature

any more than the goodness you commit

before you got born again changed your

sinful

nature that is a powerful truth right

there it’s like a coin if you’re going

to accept that one side of it is real

well then the flip side is real if that

is a genuine

coin there’s a heads and the tails to it

you can’t just sit here and say accept

one side of it and say well I believe

that my goodness doesn’t change my

sinful nature I have to be born again if

you’re going to accept that you have to

accept the other side that once you get

born again your Badness doesn’t change

your righteous

nature you were Born Again created in

righteousness and true Holiness

Ephesians

4:24 and it’s because of the grace of

God that all of this

works it’s not your goodness that

produced salvation and once you are

saved your Badness can’t change your

salvation now your Badness your lack of

godliness and seeking the Lord can cause

you to take your attention away from the

Lord and like Peter you can begin to

sink but God hasn’t sunk God didn’t

change God didn’t change anything it’s

just that you are no longer focused on

the Lord and that’s the reason you

aren’t kept in perfect peace and so it

is important that we live holy it is

important that we seek God but not from

God’s standpoint God commended his love

toward us in the while we were yet

sinners your goodness did not occasion

God loving you your Badness doesn’t make

him turn away from you God loves you

period but there’s things you can do

that will make you sensitive to God’s

love that will make you understand it

and receive it when you live in sin

here’s another way of putting it but sin

just makes you stupid sin makes you

spiritually dull and non perceptive sin

hardens your heart towards God and so if

you’re living in sin quit it but not so

that God can love you God loves you

independent of of your performance and

if you ever knew that just like those

verses I was using over in 1 John

Chapter 2 if you really knew God and

knew how much he loved you you would

keep his Commandments you would live

holy okay so um we just went into the

new clip and we uh talked about this

some more and you talked about I I like

to use a phrase you said many people

have a spiritual spiritual dyslexia

where they’re taking things and they’re

turning it around so what is what does

that mean especially when you’re talking

about Grace well a person with dyslexia

sees everything backwards so the word uh

God g o to a dyslexic person is dog do

there’s a huge difference between God

and dog yeah and if you have spiritual

dyslexia it usually comes by close

contact to religion it’s communicable

through religion and you just see

everything backwards so that those

verses like in first John

uh let me just read this he that saith I

know him and keepeth not his

Commandments is a liar and the truth is

not in him and so people say well I

don’t want to be a liar and I want the

truth to be in me so what have I got to

do I got to keep his Commandments yeah

no this is not what that’s saying this

is saying that if you know him and

that’s talking about more than

intellectual knowledge if you really

know him have a relationship it results

in you keeping the Commandments and a

person who says that they know him and

doesn’t keep the Commandments it’s just

an evident token that they don’t really

know God because it would reproduce in

their life so instead of saying that

keeping the Commandments will cause me

to know him it’s just the opposite

knowing him will cause you to keep the

Commandments that’s right and this is

what religion misses when you start

talking about Grace and Faith they think

that but you you’ve got to do these

things to really know God no it’s just

the opposite knowing God will change

your heart and you will live a holy Life

as a fruit and not the root of Salvation

and it also causes you to dream more to

have greater Vision to just to see see

see with God eyes rather than looking

through your own natural physical eyes

and you look at the things that the

Lord’s speaking to you right now in

vision and and uh for everything for the

campus for everything that’s being built

out these are all visions that God has

given you he’s entrusted them to you

absolutely I guarantee you when you

start understanding that God doesn’t

love you based on your performance it

just takes all the limits off because

it’s not based on me amen you know my

mother you guys have heard me say this

but right before she died she was asking

me to tell her about what the ministry

what was happening because she was a big

part of it and then she looked at me and

she says auny you know that you aren’t

smart enough to do this and I said yes

ma’am I know and so anyway my point is

see that when you know that it’s not

based on you well if it’s not based on

you why not base it on Jesus and and

he’s able to do anything he’s able to do

the these things that are way way way

Beyond me amen it’s really liberating

when you get out of yourself and quit

basing everything that God is going to

do in your life upon your own goodness

it’s really liberating amen because it

just allows you to go beyond yourself

amen you said this there’s a huge

difference in working in order to accept

and gain acceptance versus just

accepting acceptance and that being that

that being a revolutionary thing that

happened within your life because if you

have to work to do it first of all

you’ll most people will wind up becoming

so far short that they’ll just despair

and they’ll think what’s the use I

can’t but if for some reason you perform

well enough that things do go good and

you start taking uh pride in it well

then Pride goes before destruction and a

Hy spirit before fall Proverbs 16:18 God

resists the proud first Peter 5: 5 and

then the moment you get into Pride

you’re headed for a crash yeah yeah so

uh you just can’t do that no that’s so

good I like what you shared about Romans

5:8 understand that God’s the initiator

he says that God commanded his love

towards us in that while we were sinners

Christ died for us I mean it’s it’s

really putting us in the proper place

that we’re the responders from what God

is God has already the love that God has

already shed abroad in our hearts and

when we understand that then it’s not

there’s no pressure on us then we just

continue to follow after God and and

like you have said several times

throughout all these teachings we’re

just accessing something God has already

provided for us and see this is really

reflected in prayer uh I mentioned this

earlier in one of the other episodes but

I honestly felt like it was my

responsibility to get God to pour out

his spirit and that if it wasn’t for me

or other great intercessors God had let

the world just go to hell in a hand

basket he doesn’t care it’s us that and

and you start feeling like you’ve got to

make things happen you know I don’t know

how many people will relate to this but

I used to study a lot of revivals back

when I first got really turned onto the

Lord and I studied the new habes Revival

did y’all ever hear that anyway that’s

up in Northern Scotland and the new

habes Revival was awesome and Duncan

Campbell is a guy who preached the new

heres Revival and I heard Duncan

Campbell speak when I was uh about 18 or

something like that and anyway he was at

mildale Louisiana and I heard him speak

and he basically talked about how that

there were these two little women that

had been praying for Revival for 20

years and just beseeching God and then

the power of the Holy Spirit fell and

when Duncan Campbell was there he was an

old man back when I heard him probably

man this would have been in the late 60s

or early 70s and he was an old man and

he said that when he went and preached

that Revival that uh he gave an

invitation one person came forward

that’s it out of this whole church there

might have been 100 150 people in the

church and so one person came

forward and uh it was no big deal and

they dismissed the service and everybody

walked outside and they were just

Milling around and all of a sudden this

one guy who fell uh came forward he just

fell on his face and started crying out

oh God and I mean the power of God hit

everybody went back in the church they

stayed there nearly all night long and

people started coming out of their homes

and uh hiding under bridges and

Screaming God have mercy on me they went

to the police station and started

begging them to tell them how to get

saved and nearly the entire Village

hundreds of people got born again and

this went on for over a hundred years

that they they had prayer every single

day and so anyway he was talking about

all the new habes Revival and attributed

it all to those two ladies praying and

just not letting go until

God sent the power and you know that

night this was in Louisiana I got so

convicted that I spent all night long

walking the BIOS I mean until sun came

up praying and begging God to pour out

his P power because I wanted to see that

kind of thing happen and so I did that

not only that night but I did that lots

of times and then it was many many years

later that I heard another guy talk

about this and he said that yes those

ladies had prayed for years and they had

this prayer meeting every Saturday night

before the Sunday service but he added

this one detail that they were doing

their all night prayer meeting which

they had done for 20 years but that

night a guy came in and about 2:00 in

the morning this young guy says Hey

we’ve been standing on 2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people which are called by my name

will pray humble themselves seek my face

I’ll hear from Heaven to forgive their

land says we’ve done this why don’t we

believe that God’s answered our prayers

and he says going home and so they

canceled and they all went home and it

was when they quit praying and started

believing that God had done it that the

power of God fa now see Duncan Campbell

left that out wow and it made it made

people feel like I’ve got to get in and

plead with God and do this yeah but God

wants to pour out his Spirit more than

we want to receive it he just needs

somebody to respond in faith that’s good

so here’s these two women praying for 20

years begging but then some young buck

comes just believes God and the power of

God is poured out wow there’s a big

difference yeah and you and you talked

about this that that instead of trying

to serve God as a duty and try to

appease him and try to you know make

things happen it’s when you understand

his goodness that it changes your

relationship with him and that’s when

the power of God is released yeah again

if you think that God is a distant God

that is so ticked off that America has

done all this woke stuff and Tak prayer

out of schools and we’ve aborted so many

babies and God is just dangling America

over hell with a thread that’s on fire

and if if you have that impression of

God and we got to beg oh God turn from

your Fierce wrath which is exactly what

Moses said and people will go back and

quote Moses and they’ll say but that’s

scriptural well yeah it was an Old

Testament scripture before Jesus came

and reconciled us to God and if you

think that God is like that well then

that puts all of burden upon you that in

a sense you have to become the Savior

you have to be the one to turn God but

it says in 1 Timothy 2: 5 there is only

uh one God and one mediator between God

and man the man Christ Jesus Moses Was

An Old Testament mediator uh Abraham Was

An Old Testament mediator Daniel and

other people but in the New Covenant

Jesus has reconciled us unto God and if

you take on the attitude that Moses and

and Abraham had then you are actually

Antichrist yeah you are against Christ

you’re saying Jesus didn’t satisfy God’s

demands I’ve got to get in and beg and

repent and do all of these things wow

big difference you know it’s amazing

because it it really is by the Covenant

by what Jesus accomplished at everything

he so and you brought that out so well

and I thought it was a radical idea what

it says in Romans chap 6: 20 and 20

through 22 where you said um for when we

were Servants of sin you were free from

righteousness so even we were under a

different Covenant we were slaves of sin

we are we’re completely free from

righteousness going down to verse number

22 but now being made free from sin not

that you’re perfect not that you don’t

make mistakes but you’ve been made free

from sin because of the Covenant

relationship by what Jesus did for us

and become servants to God you are you

have your fruit unto Holiness and the

end is everlasting life so that’s saying

that your goodness before before you get

born again didn’t make make you right

with God you have to be born again and

likewise once you’re born again your sin

doesn’t make you unrighteous that makes

my religious mind explode really I mean

you still have any Rel my former

religious mind explode but that’s that’s

a radical statement it is but that’s

straight straight scripture exactly I

mean that’s that’s really showing the

finished work of the Cross where it’s no

longer about us it’s no longer about our

Deeds it’s about the finished work and

putting our faith in what Jesus but see

this again when people that are watching

this will think so you’re saying that

you can just go live in sin what we’re

saying is that your sin doesn’t separate

you from God if it did which sin is it

that’s going to separate you well you’d

have to say well the big ones and yet

James chapter 2:1 says if you keep the

whole law and yet offend in one point

you become guilty of all if sin

separated you from God well then any sin

would do it yeah so people will sit

there and say so you’re saying that it’s

okay for you to go out and live in sin

I’m saying that sin doesn’t separate us

from God because Jesus has purchased

that but sin opens up a door to the

devil Romans chapter 6:1 16 know ye not

that to whom ye yield yourself servants

to obey his servants you are to whom you

obey whether of sin unto death or of

obedience unto righteousness so if you

go live in sin God’s not going to turn

away from you because he’s already

placed your sin Upon Jesus yeah and he’s

not going to punish you he punished

Jesus for it but you have just invited

the devil in you’ve invited all kinds of

problems again you and I were just

recently in a prison yeah where people

now love God and they’re they’re

rejoicing in the Lord and they’re

they’re going to take their time and

minister to people but they’re still in

prison because they gave Satan an inroad

into their life and they’ll be paying

forth the rest of and I love for SEL 16

God looks on the heart man looks on the

outside but here I like how you do it

because it’s like yes we shouldn’t be S

we shouldn’t open the door and um and

but that and talking about Grace that

doesn’t disqualify you from God’s grace

but I also love the fact that you talked

about but all your goodness does not

bring you into right standing with God

because so many people are like you know

I’ve been good all my life I’ve never

been a criminal I’ve never done this and

they’ll rely on their goodness so same

with that they need to have faith you

know and where other people will say oh

it’s the grace of God I can just sin and

other people like so I think this is so

important we’re talking talking about

both sides of your goodness is not good

enough and your sin is

not sinful enough I guess way the same

people who get offended by saying God

doesn’t reject you because of your sin

the same people will get offended when

you say that God doesn’t approve of you

because of your

goodness because basically that’s what

most people believe like you have this

fulcrum here and these scales over here

and if you’re good outweighs your bad

then God will answer your prayers and

accept you but the truth is God doesn’t

have a scale where he balances your sin

against your goodness only through

Christ Jes only through Jesus everything

is based on what Jesus this is so good

well we could we could talk about this

so much more we’re going to uh go into

another episode where we’re going

continue to talk about living in the

balance of Grace and Faith so thank you

so much for this time thank you you’re

welcome well these were very important

Clips yeah I really think because like

we said at the beginning we’ve been

talking about faith we talking about

Grace he really delve into these aspects

of what Grace does but it doesn’t it

doesn’t just give us a license to sin

just as we’ve been talking about faith

not this whole works mentality and law

and being worn out um and the balance of

what it means to work and to labor but

now we’re getting into that that people

again try to go to the other side of the

ditch yeah and like oh well this Grace

thing this is going to be awesome and

then they they’re not living holy they

don’t understand the

consequences of still living by the

things of this world rather than on

Christ well you know I think uh people

need to understand we’re talking about

Grace we’re talking about a brand new

covenant yeah that God has established

between us and him so that now it’s no

longer about what we do for God it’s

about our ability to approach him it’s

about our righteousness and the state of

us being in relationship with him and

that was something that I always

struggled with because that was exactly

what you just said there my mentality

was uh oh greasy Grace you know it just

gives you a license to do whatever you

want to do and in a way that is true but

what it actually does is that

relationship with the Lord changes your

desires it changes what you want to do

exactly that’s that’s the beauty because

it’s not just this um spiritual concept

that you just wield yeah but it becomes

this revelation of

relationship and it starts to change you

from the inside out and uh you know

Andrew he just he talks about this

process as far as there’s only one

mediator and he and he said this in 1

Timothy 2:5 he just he he talked about

that how you have only one mediator and

that’s Christ Jesus I’m not the mediator

uh my righteousness is not the mediator

it’s what it’s what Jesus did for me and

so now I approach God based upon that

state of being not based upon my good

works and now what that has given me the

ability to do is actually be transformed

through that relationship with God and

as I walk out that transformation I

realize that I’m getting all these

things my my ability to to trust the

Lord for them is is greater and it’s not

based upon my good works it’s now based

upon what Jesus has accomplished for me

it changes everything oh my goodness and

uh it’s it goes from a religious mindset

to where you’re just you just are

looking for a license to sin well people

were sinning long before they ever had a

license to do that but the reality is it

changes your desires it changes your

wants it it transforms you from the

inside out and that’s real

transformation because it brings us back

into relationship with God and that is

so exciting to me yeah and having the

correct understanding of Grace and what

it is then is the correct then response

to Grace yeah amen right and that what

Grace has empowered you to

become not releases you to do yeah right

you know what I mean yes it’s empowered

you to become a child of God empowered

you to have the spirit of God living

inside of you empowered you with the

ability to say no to ungodliness and to

to live righteously and soberly and

godly in this present age and in this

present age being able to then shine and

have power and and and release and

demonstrate the life of the kingdom of

God that when we understand what Grace

is and is not then our relationship with

it is totally different and when you

understand understand it then your faith

and how you do it I like how he said in

it was in the old clip he talks about

many people have spiritual dyslexia and

he said this he says then you start he

said when you realize that and he even

said a lot of this is going over some of

your heads he said but for those of you

who are getting it it will transform

your relationship with God he says then

you will start serving God out of

love not in order to be loved and he

said if you can understand that then

you’re then then it changes everything

but again a lot of people people have

spiritual dyslexia what I do and then

God responds and so if they don’t

understand again the correct

understanding of Grace then if God’s

done this well then that releases me

outside of all of the godliness of the

word and that’s not what Grace is and

you know it it’s taking me a long time

and I’m I’m definitely not the sharpest

knife in the drawer but the cutest knife

well as long as you think so sweetheart

but um you know it’s taken me a long

time to really get this but most of us

still operate by a a human sense of

Faith you know I don’t know if I believe

it was in the the uh series of spirit

soul and body where Andrew talked about

when you look at a chair if it has three

good sturdy legs and you think oh yeah

I’m going to have faith and I’m going to

sit on that chair and I’m going to

believe it’s going to hold me well

you’ve already examined it with your

senses so therefore you’ve identified

that it probably can hold you so

therefore your it’s not faith in the

sense of from God it’s it’s your own

physical Faith well sometimes because of

our own good works that’s we base our

relationship with God on it becomes our

own physical faith not not the faith

that comes in Christ Jesus it actually

takes a greater understanding and a

greater trust to put your trust in God

even when you do the wrong things even

when you mess up even when you make

mistakes and say Lord I Thank you that

you don’t choose the the the the wise

things and the and the uh the beautiful

things of this world but you confound

the wise uh because you choose that

which has made mistakes that which is in

its own right unworthy but you have made

it worthy Andrew says this all the time

that God’s not looking for a silver

vessel he’s looking for a surrendered

vessel and if you and I will just be

that we’ll just surrender our own

abilities and walk in that Supernatural

faith that is greater than any physical

faith we can possibly have we’ll see

Great and Mighty Things Great and Mighty

Works being manifested through us and it

was interesting because as we’re talking

about this saying no to sin I mean

that’s the the title of this is that

Grace truly does empower us to say no

yeah and so we can start seeing this

activity of righteousness and Holiness

within our lives and I I

just excuse me I like what he says and

he said he used to think it was his

responsibility to convince God for

Revival and like his Holiness and his

righteousness and all of the things you

know that he was going to you know push

God into this kind of thing but that’s

not what it was and and then we talked

about um we talked about this idea of

how do you stay passionate right so that

you know you have a a greater passion

for the word than for sin yeah you

you’re you’re again going back to what

you said earlier our desires have

changed that’s what’s the power of this

Grace message is that it so fills you

with a a picture of what the kingdom of

God is in you and what it can be through

you that it starts to change what you

want to be in this world for God and

what you just said there in terms of

Andrew used to think that he was the one

that was motivating God for Revival when

you and then he talked about how God

wants to pour out his Spirit or already

has poured out his Spirit even more than

it’s our desire to see it that’s his

desire that’s his heart and when we

realize that it changes the way that we

approach God we start seeing him as a

loving caring father and start trusting

him and as you do that more and more you

know I love my wife I I would never ever

want to do anything to hurt her and

because she loves me and accepts me does

not make me want to go out and and

disappoint her or hurt her it makes me

want to love her and and harbor this

relationship even more it’s the same

exact thing that happens in our

relationship with God Amen well there’s

so many powerful principles we’ve been

going into and I believe that this is

just setting you free from just subtle

just subtle things that the enemy has

been trying to lie to you about or maybe

Decades of lying to you about and just

because we are we’re covering so much

but you need to listen again to these

things faith comes by hearing and

hearing the word of God so these

principles so we have a gift for you and

this is Andrew’s booklet living in the

balance of Grace and Faith this is a

free gift to you so if you want to reach

out to the number there on the screen to

call our prayer ministers not only for

this but also for prayer maybe there’s

some things with sin that you’re just

saying I’m ready to say no that’s not

who I am anymore then uh like Andrew was

talking about the girl you saying he was

saying you need to make a decision uh I

think this is something that God is

stirring within many of your hearts

today and so if you want to call us we’d

love to join you in prayer and maybe

there’s other areas in your life where

you’re looking to be set free I’ll tell

you there’s so many different materials

that are here amen that our prayer

ministers will be able to direct you to

to to begin to follow discover and and

truly walk out the the calling that the

Lord has in your life so we really

encourage you to reach out and to

connect with our prayer ministers again

the information is there on the screen

where they’re going to be able to direct

you to to some some great materials that

will actually bring transformation cuz

the things we were saying there’s so

much more because that’s how good God’s

grace is for your life so we look

forward to the next episode we’re going

to continue to delve and deepen into

these principles so join us again as we

study with Andre
