Welcome to our Monday’s broadcast of the
Gospel truth today is the beginning of
my second week teaching on this the war
is over I tell you this is just powerful
I’ve also written a little booklet that
is a brief summary of this teaching and
uh this is entitled Good Will towards
man an introduction to the war is over
so this is just a brief introduction to
this teaching we’re giving this booklet
away as a free gift we’re asking for a

and I encourage you to please get these
materials the things that I’m saying
here are just radical compared to what
most people are saying but it’s just
basic
Christianity that when the Angels Came
in Luke 2 verse4 and they were singing
and they said glory to God in the
highest and on Earth peace Good Will
towards men that wasn’t talking about
peace among men although that is a
byproduct and there has been peace
reconciliation between people this was
talking about that the end of the war
God’s Wrath on sin was coming to an end
why because he placed all of his wrath
upon Jesus I talked about that last week
from John 12 verse 32 that when he was
lifted up on the cross all of God’s
Wrath all of God’s judgment against our
sin would come upon Jesus and then I’ve
been using the scriptures in Isaiah
which were prophetic scriptures talking
about Jesus and when he would come how
that in Isaiah chapter 52 and in verse
14 his Vis would be marred more than any
man who has ever lived on this Earth and
his form would be more than the sons of
man talking about if you look in a
modern translation it’s talking about
that he wouldn’t even be
recognizable as a human being there is
no amount of uh whipping or beating that
the Romans did that could have made that
verse come true he literally took our
sins our sickness our disease into his
physical body and it deformed him to
such a degree that his face looked worse
than any person’s face that has ever
lived on this planet and his form was so
badly marred that it wasn’t even
recognizable as you human that’s amazing
and then we went into the 53rd chapter
and all of these verses what I’m doing
is just trying to show you the price
that Jesus Paid for our sins and sad to
say most people believe that Jesus gave
a token payment a partial payment but
that we also have to pay for our sins
that we also have to bear separation
from God you know there’s an example
that I’ve used before but my sister
she’s now gone on to be with the Lord
she was nine years older than me but she
loved God and U I mean she was a great
lady and saw saw tremendous things
happen but she had a
daughter my niece that would try the
patience of anybody and anyway my sister
was getting ready and cooking uh supper
one night and her husband was a
professor at the University and he was
bringing home uh some company for uh
supper so sister Joyce was you know
under pressure and she was trying to get
all this done and my niece came in and
just started mouthing off and saying
things and doing things and she knew all
the hot buttons to push and anyway my
sister just turned around and hit her
and knocked her flat of her back now
that wasn’t normal that wasn’t a normal
thing but she just had a flesh Flash and
she hid her daughter and uh knocked her
down and when when that happened it
bothered my sister so much that she ran
upstairs and threw herself across the
bed and she started praying and she says
God you got to help me she says if I
start crying over what I’ve done she she
felt so badly about what she had done to
her daughter that she says if I start
crying I won’t come out of here until
tomorrow morning and I’ve got supper on
the stove I’ve got company coming I’ve
got to pull this together I need help
and she just cried out to God and you
know how the Lord spoke to her he said
Joyce when you were 8 years old and when
you asked me to come into your life and
you accept forgiveness of your sins he
says I already dealt with this sin I
paid I’ve already paid for it it’s done
it’s paid
for and you know what that did it didn’t
allow my sister to go say well man since
my sins are paid for I can just go down
and slap my daughter around and do
whatever no I didn’t encourage her to do
that but it broke the Dominion iion of
sin when she recognized that Jesus had
already paid for that sin that Jesus had
already atoned for it wasn’t a new
transgression between her and the
Lord I tell you if you’re listening to
me there’s some of you that you’ve been
born again you have accepted the Lord as
your savior and yet you still are doing
things that you know are wrong and you
just feel so defiled by it that you feel
like how could God have anything to do
with me how could God answer my prayer
how could God use me I’m telling you
God’s never had anybody qualified
working for him yet God uses Us in spite
of who we are not because we who who we
are and that’s the reason I’ve been
going through these verses showing you
that Jesus Paid for our sins much much
more as it says over there in Isaiah
chapter 4 verse2 twice we have received
twice what our sins demanded the payment
has been made more payment than what was
necessary Jesus suffered tremendously
and I’ve already gone through a lot of
these verses let me go down to Isaiah
chapter 53 and verse 6 it says all we
like sheep have gone astray all of us
there may be somebody watching this that
you’re comparing yourself with other
people and thinking I’m a really good
person you might be better than I am but
who wants to be the best sinner that
ever went to hell all of sin and com
short of the glory of God and the wages
of that sin is death so whether you
realize it or not you may be unwise
comparing yourself with other people but
the truth is that all of us like sheep
have gone astray we have turned everyone
to his own way and the Lord hath laid on
him the iniquity of us all the entire
iniquity of the human race was placed
upon
Jesus
man that that is amazing to me that’s
amazing that Jesus would love us enough
to take the punishment that we
deserve that’s just amazing it says he
was oppressed and he was afflicted yet
he opened not his mouth he is brought as
a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep
before her shears is dumb so he opened
not his mouth he was taken from prison
and from judgment and who shall declare
his generation
for he was cut off out of the land of
the living Exodus
3114 I believe it is makes it very clear
that when it uses the term cut off it’s
talking about death so he was cut off
killed out of the land of the living for
the transgression of my people was he
stricken and he made his grave with the
wicked and with the rich because he had
done no violence neither was any deceit
in his mouth that verse was fulfilled
when Jesus Jesus was born uh buried in
the rich man’s tomb the man uh Joseph of
arthea put him in a in his tomb he so he
was buried with the rich and with the
wicked talking about being crucified
between two thieves I tell you if
anybody’s paying attention this was
written hundreds and hundreds of years
before Jesus was crucified and yet it
was fulfilled down to the very last
detail that’s one of the greatest
testimonies of the accuracy of scripture
it’s not just a book that men wrote
about God it was a book that God wrote
through men and he prophesied things
like this and it was just amazing the
accuracy and the Fulfillment of it in
verse 10 it says yet it pleased the Lord
to bruise him again this is amazing you
know Jesus commented a number of times
about how much he loved his father and
how his father loved him and there is
such intimacy and closeness between
between God the father and between Jesus
and yet this says it pleased the Lord to
bruise
him that’s hard to understand it didn’t
please God the father in the sense that
he took any joy in bruising or uh
putting our punishment Upon Jesus but it
pleased God in the sense that he loved
you and me so
much that it pleased him to sacrifice
himself to become a man and sacrifice
himself for
us man that’s amazing the love of God is
amazing yet it pleased the Lord to
bruise him he hath put him to grief when
thou shalt make his soul an offering for
sin he shall see his seed he shall
prolong his days and the pleasure of the
Lord shall prosper in his hand verse 11
says he shall see of the travail of his
soul and shall be satisfied again this
is the same point that I’ve been making
all all of last week when I was talking
about the Angels saying glory to God in
the highest and on Earth peace Good Will
among men they were excited because they
realized that Jesus was going to end the
conflict between God and man that Jesus
was going to totally reconcile us unto
him and this verse see is talking about
that he shall see the travail of his
soul and be satisfied you don’t have to
suffer for your sin
God looks at the travail of Jesus Soul
Jesus became sin for us who knew no sin
second Corinthians chapter uh 5 verse 21
for he God the Father hath made him
Jesus who knew no sin to be made sin for
us that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him God saw the
travail of Jesus soul and was
satisfied if you understand this you
don’t have to to suffer for your sin
from God now let me say that there is
suffering when you go out and live in
sin Satan will take advantage of you
Satan will extract his pound of Flesh
he’s going about seeking whom he may
devour First Peter chapter 5 and I can
guarantee you if you go out and live in
sin Satan is going to extract punishment
he’s going to cause misery in your life
people will punish you because of sin
but God won’t God placed all of his
wrath on Jesus and he saw the travail of
his soul you don’t have to gravel in the
dirt over your sin now you do need to
repent but repent can include an
emotional response but the word repent
just literally means to turn around and
go the other direction it means to
change so you need to repent some people
think you have to just go through this
grief and you have to live the rest of
your life life mourning over the
terrible things that you’ve done no you
need to turn from that and you need to
turn to God but you don’t have to sit
there and let it’s not your travail that
God is satisfied with he punished his
son for you and me and what he did and
he’s Satisfied by what he’s his son
suffered did you know if people have
ever been out and they’ve committed a
night of sin they’ve been living in
immorality sexual immorality
or whatever it is drunkenness dope
addiction whatever you’ve ever
done regardless of how bad it is and
that shame and that um I don’t know
depression and just feeling terrible all
of those things that you’ve ever
experienced over sin Jesus took that in
his body he suffered it he not only
suffered the payment and suffered the
Wrath and the punishment of God he took
your shame he took your grief he took
your sorrow he took whatever you’ve ever
suffered and Jesus felt that Jesus
suffered it so that you don’t have to
continue to suffer that you can throw
your care over on the Lord and you can
live in complete freedom and liberty
because Jesus suffered the pain that you
were supposed to suffer you know this
says that he shall see the travail of
his soul and be satisfied in the old
Covenant when somebody brought an
offering to the priest did you know the
very fact that they brought a lamb that
was going to be a sacrifice that was a
testimony to the fact that I’ve sinned
and that I need an atonement for this
sin so the very fact that you brought
the lamb was a testimony that you had
sinned but when the priest looked at the
lamp they didn’t examine you they didn’t
say have you repented have you done
enough have you done this have you done
this no they knew that you had sinned
that’s why you brought the lamb they
examined the sacrifice they examine the
lamb lamb it had to be holy it had to be
pure it had to be
sinless and they they accepted the
offering based on the sacrifice not the
person who needed the
sacrifice did you know it’s the same
thing with us today that when we come to
the Lord God isn’t looking at you and
say well have you promised that you’ll
never do this again have you overcome
this sin are you now pure no we all need
to come before the Lord and just
recognize that there’s none of us that
are righteous know not one that God I’m
not coming before you based on my own
goodness but I am trusting in Jesus you
he is the Lamb of God and you will see
the travail of his soul he suffered for
my sin he paid for my sin I’m not having
to pay for it I’m not going to spend the
rest of my life grieving over all the
terrible things that I’ve done now again
I’m not saying that you smooth it over
and act like you haven’t done anything
you need to acknowledge that you have
sinned and come short of the glory of
God but then you need to accept the
sacrifice and recognize that God isn’t
looking at you and trying to find
perfection in you he’s looking at the
sacrifice that was made for you that’s
Jesus and he sees the travail of his
soul and that’s what satisfied him and
God has removed all of the obstacles
between him and us through his son Jesus
this is why Jesus had to become a man
Jesus had to suffer our punishment our
grief and God did that and I guarantee
you he would not have sacrificed his son
if it didn’t pay the debt if it didn’t
solve the problem
if it was only a part of the problem and
then he was dependent upon us also
getting our act together and doing
everything just perfectly and so Jesus
was a portion of it but then we also
have to do things I guarantee you God
would not have made that sacrifice
because we would have blown it it would
have been like if we had anything to do
with this other than just receiving it
he doesn’t force it on us the only thing
we do is just receive it by faith but if
we had any part to play in our
relationship with God being based on our
own goodness or Holiness it’s like you
know the chain is no stronger than its
weakest link if we would have been a
link in this chain God wouldn’t have
done it because we would have guaranteed
to just fail and not be uh it wouldn’t
have worked Jesus Paid It All Jesus paid
the total price there is nothing that
you have to do to earn God’s
favor God looked at the sacrifice saw
the travail of his soul and he was
satisfied with that it goes on to say by
his knowledge shall my righteous servant
justify many for he shall bear their
iniquities man this is just this is
amazing I can hardly talk about these
things without just being overwhelmed I
have to sit there and you know what the
scripture says ca that means pause and
calmly think of this and it just makes
me want to praise God when I think about
the fact that God loves me because of
Jesus not because of what I’ve done I’ve
lived a Holier life than most people
I’ve not gone out and done a lot of the
things that many of you that are
watching this program have done and yet
God doesn’t love me more because I
haven’t done things and he doesn’t love
you less because you have done certain
things God’s love and acceptance of you
and me is all based on what Jesus did
did and I needed salvation just the same
as anybody else did you know I went to a
rehab place one time where all of the
men that were in this rehab thing there
was over a hundred of them and they were
murderers they were rapists they were
people that had been in prison and that
they had been released to this like
halfway house and these were bad
dudes and when I went in there I started
by telling them I said I have never said
a word of profanity in all of my life
I’ve never taken a drink of liquor I’ve
never smoked a cigarette I’ve never even
tasted
coffee and all of those things are true
and you would think that if you say
something like that to a crowd like that
that they would immediately not not
connect with you you just how are you
going to reach people if you sit there
and tell them that I’ve never done any
of the things that you’ve done but what
I went on to show them was these exact
things that I’m sharing with you that
who wants to be the best sinner that
went to hell ever went to hell all have
sin and come short of the glory of God I
didn’t need less salvation than they
needed you know it’s like if you have a
ceiling that’s 20 or 30 feet tall and if
somebody came in with a gun and says you
jump and touch the ceiling or I’ll kill
you if you can’t jump and touch the
ceiling every one of you is going to die
well I might be able to jump higher than
somebody else Michael Jordan might be
able to jump higher than I can and
things we might all be in varying
amounts but nobody’s going to be able to
jump 20 ft and touch the ceiling if that
was the minimum requirement we’re all
going to die we’re all in the same boat
and so I may not have done some of the
things that other people have done but I
still sinned and came short of the glory
of God and I needed a savior and when I
begin to present it to these men that
way they begin to start recognizing that
they weren’t so bad so far gone that
they couldn’t have a relationship with
God and that somehow or another I had a
step up on them I was closer to God
because I hadn’t done these things they
begin to recognize that all of us have
sinned come short of the glory of God
and I tell you it just it was powerful
to see what happened these men just
reached out they love me because they
recognized that man we were all in the
same boat and actually the person who
ran this uh Center for all of these
people he made that mandatory that every
person that comes into that
Rehabilitation Center had to listen to
that message that I gave because it just
it put things into its proper
perspective there’s some people that
think that actually they need less Mercy
from God than somebody else who’s done
something else but you know that’s not
true if you miss Heaven by an inch you
might as well miss it by a mile we all
have sinned and come short of the glory
of God and these verses are showing you
that Jesus
paid for everything he paid the total
price it’s not him paying 80% and you
doing 20% he did everything for you
that’s the good news that these Angels
were singing about in Luke 214 glory to
God in the highest and on Earth peace
Good Will from man man could not save
themselves mankind couldn’t do enough to
earn our relationship with God so God
himself became a man and paid the debt
that we couldn’t pay I heard a story one
time about a judge that was sitting at
the bench and a guy had a traffic
ticket and he came in and when he saw
the judge that judge was his neighbor it
was a good friend he liked him and he
thought oh this judge is going to give
me mercy but because the judge was a
just judge he brought the gavel down and
ascribed a fine to this person and the
guy was just chrush like I thought he
loved me but see because he was a just
judge he had to dispense Justice the guy
was guilty and so he brought the gavel
down and find him but then he took his
robes off walked around from behind the
desk and as his friend paid the guy’s
fine see in a sense that’s what God did
because God is just he had to have
hatred for sin punishment for sin the
wages of sin is death but because he
loved us so much he paid that price he
paid the Wage of Sin he came and he
suffered that death for you and me and
if you understand
that man the war is
