I started last Sunday something that I’m
going to continue today we talked about
building barriers it represented what
God told Moses that there was to be a
separation line drawn and he said put up
barriers for your families so that when
the trumpet sounds you’re not on the
wrong side you’re not into the wrong
places and doing the wrong things but
you’re to stay on this side God still
has standards God still has a moral code
God still has things that he says if you
honor these barriers you will preserve
your marriage you will preserve your
family your integrity your name your
anointing and and I want to continue in
that vein today real quick first Kings
chapter 21 verse 1 and it came to pass
after these things that nay both the
jezreelite had a vineyard which was in
Jezreel next to the palace of Ahab king
of samaria and they have spoke to
neighbor saying give me your vineyard
that I may have it for a vegetable
garden because it is near next to my
house and for it I will give you a
vineyard better than it or if it seems
good to you I will give you it’s worth
and money but Navis said they have the
Lord forbid that I should give the
inheritance of my father’s to you I’ll
stop there but this is a pretty powerful
story you have to understand that this
vineyard that nabe off had had been in
his family for over 600 years it went
all the way back to his great great
great great great grand great grand
great grand for six hundred years great
great-grandfather who bible scholars say
was Caleb
you remember Caleb and Joshua were the
only two out of the twelve spies who
said we can take the land but Moses
didn’t listen to them and they went
around in the wilderness for forty years
but when Caleb became eighty-five years
old
he finally crossed over Jordan into the
promised land flowing with milk and
honey and he looked at a particular
piece of real estate and he went to
Joshua and he said give me at 85 give me
this mountain if you read the story the
Bible said that they warned him there’s
Giants in that mountain but I love Caleb
something in his DNA said I will run the
Giants off of my property and my
family’s property that is our
inheritance and we want to drive a stake
down this is my land and I’ll fight the
Giants and run them off and that’s
exactly what he did now 600 years later
for 600 years the family has has been
working this vineyard the family has
been kept and provided for by this
vineyard it has kept their home together
it has kept their lives and their family
secure it has blessed their children and
their children’s children and their
children’s children’s children what a
fruitful I’m sure it started out you
know not looking like much when they
drove stakes into the ground and said
this is our property forever God has
given it to us for an inheritance I’m
sure it was not much to look at but they
began to plow it and they begin to they
begin to cultivate it they begin to
prune it and work and work and work that
field and that property until it became
so beautiful and so productive and so
fruitful and the scripture said that it
just so happened the King Ahab wanted to
build he was an evil evil perhaps the
most evil king that Israel ever had and
he wanted to build a summer house a
summer palace and his property bumped
right up to this piece of real estate
that was now Navis vineyard and had been
in his family for six hundred years and
when they have the wicked King saw this
this piece of property he said I want it
I want to buy it from you I want to give
you whatever you
vote for it or I’ll trade you another
piece of property that is much more
valuable but I want that piece of
property and something came up
inside of nebith to say to the king of
Israel to Ahab and his wife Jezebel and
if you are naming your children don’t
name your daughter
Jezebel but something came up in his
heart to say do you think that I would
give away for any amount of money the
inheritance that I have that has been
given to me through my father and their
fathers and their fathers and their
fathers for 600 generations we have had
this fruitful vineyard and you want me
to sell out for material things I’m
praying the spirit of Namath will step
up again in our generation and in our
lives that we will understand that none
of us have gotten here by ourselves
somebody has prayed for us somebody has
fasted for us somebody has shed blood so
that I could stand behind a pulpit
somebody the old-timers in the beginning
that didn’t have much and I speak for
the you know the Pentecostal circles the
spirit filled churches they were always
poor they were always on the wrong side
of the tracks they were always in little
shabby buildings if that many
storefronts or tent tents were set up
because they couldn’t afford anything
nice and it looked like much but they
drove down those stakes and they said
we’re going to build churches and look
what the Lord has done and look how God
has blessed us he’s been good to us and
we’re not on the wrong side of the
tracks anymore and we’re not the tail
anymore and we’re not we’re not but if
we don’t watch it if we don’t if we
don’t understand the tactics of the
enemy a having Jezebel represents the
the spirit of this age that wants to
that wants to look at the fruit for
venue vineyard and I remind you that
John 15 says this in verse 1 it says I
am the
Reuven jesus said and my father is the
vine dresser every branch in me that
does not bear fruit he takes away in
prunes that it may bear more fruit you
are clean because of the word that I
have spoken to you abide in me and I in
you as the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself unless it abides in the vine
neither can you unless you abide in me I
love this next verse I am the vine you
are the branches he who abides in me and
I in him bears much fruit for without me
you can do nothing so Jesus is the
vineyard and he said unless you’re in
vital connection and relationship with
me you will not be fruitful you will not
produce healthy loving families
you will not produce children that are
in love with God you will not have
marriages that last you will not have
businesses that prosper because without
me you can do nothing but there is a
spirit in this age that Nate that a have
and Jezebel spirit that wants us to give
our vineyard our relationship with Jesus
Christ our families our homes our faith
our heritage they want us to sell it out
and notice what they have wanted to do
with it he said so that I can turn that
vineyard into my garden I want that
vineyard to become my garden and I think
you probably wanted to plant onions in
it I want to turn your walk with God in
your relationship with Jesus into an
onion patch I want to take what was
flourishing and what your forefathers
paid a tremendous price for I think of
my dad who who to stay in ministry sold
biscuits at the meal in North Carolina
every morning out of the back of his
truck so that he could preach the gospel
and today I stand preaching and I did
never pay that kind of price and his
parents before him and on my mom’s side
the the fruitful vineyard that they left
us it was an inheritance of faith it was
an inheritance of consecration in prayer
and and and sacrifice and honoring God
and and now today I have inherited it
and I have to make decisions am I going
to sell out this fruitful vineyard that
has worked for now six generations in
our family I’m the sixth gen are my
children are the sixth generation of
preachers and blessing and fruitfulness
and marriages that have stayed together
in children that have been blessed and
serving us now I am the keeper of this
vineyard for my family and I must decide
am I going to allow a happen Jezebel the
spirit of the age to come in and begin
to compromise and begin to let them
spill over into the property that God
has given us as an inheritance for our
children and our children’s children I’m
telling you today that we are where we
are today because people pay the price
I thought about the freedoms that we
have in America people paid a price that
we could be here and as a believer we
have a bill of rights and I guess what
I’m trying to say is I see that secular
kind of spirit of Ahab and Jezebel
eyeing the church the body of Christ and
our roots go all the way back to the
upper room in the day of Pentecost where
the church was born in that Upper Room
and the Holy Spirit came like a mighty
rushing wind but the Spirit of Ahab and
Jezebel wants to take our productive
powerful field of the Holy Spirit and of
miracles and of healing and of of of the
power of God and the gifts of the Spirit
and turn it into an onion garden what we
have goes back to the
Sousa Street in Los Angeles California
the holy spirit was poured out racial
barriers were torn down black man by the
name of Seymour with one I began to pray
for the infilling of the Holy Spirit and
he was filled and they moved into a barn
and the barn became so filled with
hungry people of every nationality that
the walls the floor fell in and they had
to move it somewhere else
but if we allow it the spirit of
spiritual political correctness will
come in and we’ll take the anointing out
of our vineyard and take the shouting
out of our services and take the
healings out of our ministries and take
the all of our singers and all of our
our pastors and all the the consecration
the doctrine the the things that we hold
dear it says just sell out to me just
sell out you get more money if you if
you were calm down if you won’t preach
on that Holy Spirit stuff if you just be
a little social club on Sundays a lot
more people will come and a lot of rich
people will be attracted I will tell you
how I feel about it one great thing
about being 50 and getting gray hair
like I’m starting to get is you develop
your own incorporation called I don’t
give a rip incorporated at some point at
some point you got to say you know what
this is work for me this Holy Ghost
stuff has worked for me and my family
for generations I’m not gonna sell out
now let’s shout right here if you feel
let the wind blow let the fire fall
something in a have wanted nay boss
vineyard in at something something
inside of Ahab said I would like to have
what your father’s had and your
forefathers had and our forefathers were
Peter James and John they were so
anointed their shadows would heal people
now we don’t even talk about healing
they were so anointed that they would
cast out Devils in the name of Jesus now
we pretend the devil doesn’t exist he’s
never mentioned in 99% of them and I’m
not for gory fine Satan but I’m going to
tell you something we’re in a real
battle it’s for the life of our families
and our homes our sons and our daughters
and you can’t fight demons with
education only
you can’t fight demons with programs you
better get the anointing of the Holy
Spirit
you fight spirit with spirit and greater
is He that is in us come only shout
right there you can’t have that vineyard
of anointing I’m all for education but
there’s nothing like an anointed
preaching they’ll get all in your soul
thank you you’ll swear I ain’t gonna
move today but when somebody’s anointed
there starts preaching and if preaching
is like a hammer that breaks the rock to
pieces or you know it your legs
trembling always know I’m preaching good
when I can look down on the front row
and I see some people start doing like
that
notice that nebith didn’t build his
vineyard NYX – Ahab’s palace a Hal built
his palace next to neighbor’s vineyard
because he was saying I won’t what
you’ve got and I’m coming it’s like it’s
like the spirit of this age is wanting
to come into the church and I’m not I’m
not talking about legalism I’m not
talking about stupid stuff and and and
you know that legalists I can’t stand
that legalistic spirit that goes around
judging everybody I can’t stand that
mess but I’m talking about a real
balance it’s what we need the enemy
wants the anointing that they have
Jezebel wants the wants our singers
wants our inheritance
once our youth sell them to me wants our
children wants our convictions our
standards are barriers let’s move that
barrier sell me sell that part of your
life out yeah you’re gonna lose a little
bit of the vineyard and remember the
vineyard is Jesus yeah you’re not gonna
have as much of him as you used to have
but hey this is a new day everybody’s
doing it it’s gonna cost you some of
your property and the vineyard it’s
gonna get smaller and smaller and the
vineyard is Jesus the vineyard is Jesus
and yes here I’ll sell that I’ll give
that up and yeah I don’t need that
conviction anymore and I don’t need that
standard anymore and I don’t need that
and before you know it
Jesus has this much of your life and
before you know it your children aren’t
interested in your Jesus but when he is
your life when he is your home when he
is your family when he is everything
that you are about this stuff works but
I’ve come today to say don’t sell out
we need a spirit of nabe off that says
I’m not gonna sell out the message this
church started in a skating rink look at
us today
look at how God’s blessed us and we owe
no man nothing but we started in a
skating rink the original holy rollers
and then the building was built on the
wrong side of town cinder blocks
then pastor Wellborn built the church on
brown’s bridge and on the day that he
was buried I was asked to preach at free
chapel nine months before as an
evangelist and that was the place that I
was supposed to be because while after I
preached they rolled in his coffin and
I’m sitting there and the Lord said
they’re a sheep that have no Shepherd
and I want you to Pastor this vineyard
and now as pastor of this church I have
a tremendous responsibility I can bend
some places we need to stay modern how
do we keep the message contemporary
without changing who we are in the Holy
Spirit does anybody believe that God
could feel every teenager every child in
kid Pat every youth every man every
woman every husband every wife every
family could become fruitful and and
listen listen maybe maybe you don’t
understand because you don’t have any
heritage you’re driving the stake down
and you’re starting a blessing in your
family don’t sell out there were two
sellouts one in the Old Testament one in
the new Adam and Eve sold out paradise
to the serpent Judas sold out Jesus for
thirty pieces of silver but I believe
that God is calling on us in this
critical crucial hour when the window
world is trying to encroach upon the
ministries and the churches and just
make us kind of tame right tame when you
read the book of Acts it was everything
but tame just tame and calm predictable
and I’m gonna tell you something when
the holy spirit feels a room it’s
anything but tame I don’t mean crazy I
don’t mean nonsense and fanaticism I’m
just telling you there is a joy there is
a oh this is what life is really about
I’ve been so busy I’ve been so that I’ve
almost disconnected from my vineyard
but Jesus without you I can do nothing
you better protect that you better you
better not sell out that precious
vineyard which is Jesus because it’ll
keep you it’ll keep your children it’ll
keep your children’s children it will
work for six hundred years or ten ten
decades or twenty decades or thirty it
will work for generation after
generation after generation so I’m not
gonna let a have in Jezebel have the
vineyard no you can’t have our miracles
no you can’t have our Holy Spirit no you
can’t have the inheritance that we have
from the book of Acts no we’re still
going to stand and believe and in this
day God will pour out his spirit on our
sons and on our daughters and they shall
prophesy can you lift your hands if
you’re hungry for that kind of life life
is empty if you just do church and
religion on Sundays I’m preaching about
more than doing church and religion on
Sundays
I’m talking about you’re so connected to
Jesus
that he is your life and without him I
can do nothing you cannot raise a
successful family without him you cannot
hold your marriage together without him
protect that vineyard don’t sell it out
hallelujah I hope this series of
messages on boundaries has struck home
in your life is Jesus the center of your
life see the center of your home he can
be in the wonderful news is you don’t
have to wait until you get good to get
God you just get God he makes all things
new he can repair your home he can
repair broken relationships he can even
restore your dreams and show you a whole
new level of purpose and destiny and it
begins with a simple prayer you need to
invite Jesus into your life and I invite
you to pray these words behind me
Lord Jesus I need you you died on the
cross shed your blood for my sins to be
forgiven I believe in you I believe your
promises I believe your word and today I
surrender my life my home my family my
future to you in Jesus name Amen and
