everything we’re experiencing right now

we can find an answer to in the

scriptures We’re a nation America we’re

one nation under God we know about God

mhm but do we worship him God makes a

promise to us he says he hears from

heaven and he heals our land and I

watched what happened during the

elections everybody’s like no no when we

get this candidate day and God’s like

when my people who are called by my name

humble themselves turn from their Wicked

Ways seek my face I will hear and I will

heal if we know okay this is because

people are not connected to God no what

do we do because it’s tempting in our

flesh to be like no you’re wrong and

like start

debating but what’s our position then to

combat the folly we see yeah you

know hey I’ve got exciting news if

in-law Christian bav and hey Christian I

feel like today is the day we need to

talk about what the heck is going on

like why our world has gone so crazy

right now because there is nothing new

Under the Sun and there are patterns

that happen yeah when uh people worship

God turn away from God worship self like

all these different things and

everything we’re experiencing right now

we can find an answer to in the

scriptures and so you’re saying the

Bible isn’t dead it’s not outdated it’s

alive it still speaks today yes you know

and and I think right now there’s a lot

of people saying what is going on what

is going on how did our world get so

crazy and and I love that we can find an

answer in the scripture to actually what

is going on and so I’m gonna actually

open up with Romans chapter 1 I’m going

to talk from I’m just going to with

verse 19 okay and we’re going to talk

about three separate part the first

thing we’re going to talk about is the

reality of God so it says but the basic

reality of God is plain enough and I’m

reading from the message open your eyes

and there it is by taking a long and

thoughtful look at what God has created

people have always been able to see with

their eyes as such can’t see eternal

power for instance and the Mystery of

his Divine being so nobody has a good

excuse so that’s daunting if you think

about it yeah so what I what I read when

I when I read that I think when I look

at the

stars when I look at a baby when I look

at the ocean when I look at the

mountains

everything in creation says there is a

Creator everything that we see says

there is something

more that we can see and it says that

our eyes as such can’t see which is the

eternal power of the Creator because you

know I you know I get to fly in

airplanes a lot and people are like I

don’t I I I don’t love a God who would

condemn people that never heard the

gospel and I’m like well right here here

it says by taking a long and thoughtful

look if we can look at

creation we will see the Creator and we

can cry out I want to know

you and I I I don’t know I love that so

it’s not it’s not casual it’s a

thoughtful look and and what’s going on

in our culture right now too much to

name unfortunately long and thoughtful

looks well I was going to say what what

do you think keeps that from being a

simple verse like why are we not able to

see God is because we’re seeing so many

other things that we’re distracted we’re

trying to convince oursel at something

else we’re making ourselves our own God

I mean what’s the most um disheartening

to you that you’re seeing well I mean I

think about

David David had a revelation of God in

the wilderness before he

ever confronted Goliath before he ever

had any kind of he sat in the Wonder of

God as his Shepherd you know and he was

yeah a little boy he had time to take a

long and thoughtful look but right now

we go from thing to thing to thing we

don’t pause we don’t Ponder and you know

even as you go through the scriptures

you you know you’re reading through the

Psalms it’ll say say what does that say

p

and be in awe think about this pause we

don’t we like oh we got to we got to

read all of our verses we don’t we don’t

interact with it we don’t pause with it

but then it goes on to say uh like again

in the answer of what okay wait a minute

if if if we are missing something is

that why we’re crazy and it says what

happened was this people knew God

perfectly well verse

21 but when they didn’t treat him like

God God refusing to worship him they

trivialized themselves into silliness

and confusion so that there was neither

sense nor Direction left in their lives

they pretended to know it all but they

were illiterate regarding life so think

about that it says they knew God like

okay like We’re a nation America we’re

like oh we one nation under God we know

about God mhm M but do we worship

him because when we worship him we

surrender our will to his will when we

worship him we honor him above but it

says not just that they didn’t worship

it says

refusing to worship him they trivialized

themselves into silliness and

confusion I feel like we have an

epidemic right now

of silliness yeah and

confusion which to me reads if you’re

not worshiping God and it’s leading to

sness you’re worshiping yourself or

those very things which makes sense why

anything you say is offensive or

Everything feels so near and dear and

heightened

and heartbreaking but it’s like in

reality if God is our focus and these

other things can fall to the way side

yeah like we don’t have to live so

divisive no but I mean if you

are disconnected from

God you are disconnected from wisdom and

insight there’s silliness and confusion

I mean there’s so many things I see

right now I’m like okay it’s not going

to get any more stupid it can’t

everybody’s going to be like that’s just

dumb and next week more silliness more

confusion hey I am so excited the fight

your gender reveal out here and somebody

you you have this cool gender reveal

blue smoke comes out and people are like

educate yourself I’m like what there’s

no sillin or confusion they’re like that

was a genital reveal no it was a

DNA reveal and let me ask you this

you’re a minister if we know okay this

is because people are not connected to

God yeah what do we do because it’s

tempting in our flesh to be like no

you’re wrong and like start debating

yeah but what’s our position then to

combat this the Folly we see well I mean

I love that while I’m having these

conversations for women to take back

their femininity to understand it’s

god-given God entrustment to me that is

a measure my femininity embracing my

femininity my God creation is one of the

ways of worshiping God worshiping God

not not silly being silly and confused

about who I am or who he is I I love

that John has been inviting people into

the awe of God which is the worship of

God that says you alone Are Holy you

alone are wise your ways are higher than

my ways I’m going to stop living in the

realm of silliness and confusion and I’m

going to live in the knowledge

of God so it you know it just goes on to

just talk about it says they they traded

the glory of God who holds a whole world

in his hands for cheap figurines you can

buy at any roadside now here’s here’s

the thing back then they had statues

yeah they’re like oh this is my

household God the statue of whatever I

I’ve bought it on the roadside this is

my household God but we don’t have

household God s that are crafted by

people we have iPhones that we hold in

our hands we have things that we bow

down to that we hold in our hands we

think oh that’s just silly that they

worship statues why it’s also silly that

we worship a world we can hold in our

hands it’s not a cheap figurine it’s an

expensive iPhone or an Android or

whatever but it is still yeah something

that is diminishing who we are and

diminishing the worship of God you know

they’re they’re saying more and more

that people’s posture is changing that

their head down yeah they’re they’re

bowed over that they’re like this and

they’re bowing to a world they can hold

in their hands yeah but it’s it’s POS I

mean bowing to a world they can hold in

their hands rather than lift I mean we

hear this all through the scripture lift

up your head you know he says to Abraham

walk outside count this Stars he’s God

is wanting to enlarge our vision of who

he is and we are shrinking the vision of

who God is and when we do that we lose

touch with who we are at the same time

and then it says they traded the glory

of God who holds the whole world in his

hands for cheap figurines you can buy at

any roadside so God said in effect if

that’s what you want that’s what you get

and it wasn’t long before they were

living in a pig pen smeared with filth

filthy inside and out and all this

because they traded the true God for a

fake God and worshiped the god they made

instead of the God who made them the God

we Bless The God Who blesses us oh yes

so there’s an exchange there’s a

tradeoff we’re trading The God Who made

us for being our own Gods yeah and

making our own Gods and again we’ve

talked about this since the beginning of

the fight for female podcast that we

have a generation that the enemy is

saying you cannot trust God yeah remake

yourself in your own image God made a

mistake don’t trust him with your

formation you can’t trust him go ahead

and remake yourself and so what we have

is confusion then Romans 1:26 says worse

followed I’m like okay refusing to know

God that you and I both know religion is

is not what we’re being invited into

we’re being invited to a relationship

with a living God yeah refusing to know

God they soon didn’t know how to be

human either women didn’t know how to be

women and men didn’t know how to be

men here we are when we

disconnect from God we lose our Humanity

we lose our ability to know what it

means to be a woman or knows what it

means to be a man I mean did you did you

know it goes that much in detail in the

Book of Romans I mean when you read it

in light of looking around questioning

and then the answer is right there and I

believe that form of know is also yada

where you’re saying it is relational

it’s not enough to know there is a God

that exists and maybe the Bible says

something on how I’m formed like you

have to know him deeply to be able to

combat like those Temptations we face

it’s not that well God’s good so he

tells me to be a woman and woman does

this like you have to know him so you

can know yourself MH you know I I love

how important

identity is to God and when we know

who he is we discover who we are most

people are trying to figure out who they

are and they don’t even know who he is

but what I have learned is as I pursue

him he reveals me so as I as I pursue my

Creator he reveals me the created and

you know there’s a lot of talk right now

magod day we’re all image of God and

it’s true every single

human born is created in the image of

God but this is an

invitation to embrace the nature of God

so we are not all children of God we’re

all image bears but when we get born

again we become partakers of his divine

nature in Christ Jesus and a lot of

times we don’t talk about that and so

that that gets confusing so when we

refuse to worship

we actually unwind ourselves it becomes

an unmaking of who we really are and

then it goes on and this is again where

it starts getting offensive it says

sexually confused they abused and

defiled one another women with women men

with men all lust no love and then they

paid for it oh how they paid for it

emptied of God and love Godless and

Loveless wretches now people get mad

about that but I didn’t write

it it’s just he’s saying hey when we

don’t know what it means to be human we

get

confused and we become abusive and

defiling of one another and then it goes

on to say since they didn’t bother to

acknowledge God God quit bothering them

and let them run loose now this is one

of those things where you look at what’s

happening in culture right now I mean I

saw this little girl screaming how she

wanted to have 45 abortions that she

loved killing babies and just yelling

and you know maybe some of that was for

attention but the idea that anybody

would ever say and then the craziness of

the the pro-choice movement this it’s

just not killing a baby it’s just s and

then she’s like no I love killing babies

I love I want 45

abortions uh which is crazy yeah it

doesn’t make sense but the Judgment of

God is when God actually says to a

people I’m taking my hand off I’ll turn

you over to be mastered yeah by the

greed by whatever is in you so it’s not

just about homosexuality it’s not just

about our sexuality it goes on it says

then all hell broke loose rampid evil

grabbing and grasping vicious

backstabbing life life on Hell making

life hell on Earth with Envy wanton

killing bickering cheating mean-spirited

venomous Fork tongue God Bashers bullies

swaggers insufferable windbags they keep

inventing new ways of wrecking lives

they ditch their parents when they get

in the way this is not my word stupid

slimy cruel cold blooded and then it

goes in verse 32 and it’s not as if they

don’t know better they know perfectly

well they’re spitting in God’s face and

don’t care worse they hand out prizes to

those who do the worst things

best and that speaks to me and the the

thinging we’ve seen a lot on of people

that are like well I’m believer but I

don’t want to offend anyone you know

what it’s loving to be kind to people

love is love how dangerous that is of

handing out prizes affirming this

wretchedness that is ungodly and I think

it’s no coincidence this morning I was

actually reading a John and it said how

when Jesus was being persecuted and the

Pharisees are like we need to get him we

need to kill Lazarus too we need to kill

anyone take anything that gets in the

way and it says yet at the same time

this is verse 42 yet at the same time

many even among the leaders believed in

him but because of the Pharisees they

would not openly acknowledge their faith

for fear they be put out of the

synagogue for they loved human praise

more than praise from God and my

response to that is if I let these

things slide if I just pra someone of oh

well you’re so brave because you feel

something I’m affirming something that

is anti- God like that’s well and it’s

antihuman right like you don’t want to

be I don’t want to be turned over to the

most base things in my life to have

Mastery over me I don’t want to be

turned over to be controlled by greed

backstabbing uh uh

sexual Pro proclivities perversions and

this is the time for the church to just

read the scriptures out loud in the

church service we don’t even need to

interpret it we just need to hit our

faces and say God I God help us yeah

help our nation and and so we’ve got the

reality of God worship the reality of

our day that’s where we are right now I

wish it isn’t but that is where we are

right now but then we always stop there

and we don’t go to Romans 2 verse 1

where it says those people are on a dark

spiral downward but if you think that

leaves you on The High Ground where you

can point your fingers at others think

again every time you criticize someone

you condemn yourself it takes one to No

One judgmental criticism of others is a

well-known way of escaping detection in

your own crimes and misdemeanors but God

isn’t so easily diverted he sees right

through all such smoke screens and holds

you to what you’ve done then it says you

didn’t think did you that just by

pointing your finger at others you would

distract God from seeing all your

misdoings and coming down on you hard or

did you think that because he is such a

nice God he’d let you off the hook

better think this one through from the

beginning God is kind but he is not soft

in kindness he takes us firmly by the

hand and leads us into a radical life

change and I just want to speak to the

Christians out

there

that you have you’re very quick to judge

the evil in the

world but sometimes I have to

wonder is it because we haven’t allowed

God to take us firmly by the hand and

lead us into a radical life change

because when people think that

Christianity is just an add-on so that

you don’t go to hell when you die and

not a agent of transformation where you

are transformed from glory to glory from

people who live for self that live for

others where people who lie and flatter

rather than speak truth and see people

rescued when we do not personally as

Christians allow God to take us firmly

by the hand because you can’t preach out

of Romans 1 without Romans 2 you have to

have Romans 2 where God is saying hey

hey this is a mess this is a mess here

but you know

better and are you thinking by saying

well look how bad they are that God

isn’t going to take you and hold you

accountable to what you have

done see when we don’t know to do better

we can’t do better but all I know is

that when I got born again Christian God

took me firmly by the hand when I got

born again everything in my life came

into focus and I understood everything

that I had looked for longed for that I

realized that I was looking for all the

right things in the very very wrong

spaces and I had to let God take me

firmly by the hand because I would have

continued down the wrong path yeah but

saying Jesus was my Lord and there’s a

lot of people that are saying no God’s

just he’s just kind yeah he’s just kind

well I and and I feel like cus Lewis

wrestled with a lot of this where he

would say hey he’s not tame talking

about Aon he’s not tame okay but I feel

like right now that we Christians need

to ask God to take us firmly by the hand

it goes on in Romans chapter 2 verse 5

you’re not getting away with anything

every refusal and avoidance of God adds

fuel to the fire the day is coming you

guys this is New Testament this is not

Old Testament the day is coming when

it’s going to blaze hot and high God’s

fiery righteous judgment make no mistake

in the end you get what’s coming real

life for those who work on God’s side

but to those who insist on getting their

own way and taking the path of least

resistance there you go fire mm and I

love that it says that his rebuke his

correction is his love and we see so

clearly in Romans 1 his silence is his

his contempt I know for me when things

get too quiet is actually when I’m

scared I’m at the point where I’m not

scared when holy spirit’s convicting me

and saying don’t say that to your

husband or don’t think that of that

person when it gets quiet and I get

comfortable as when I think have I not

been in the word enough have I not been

asking God to come in and seek my heart

and what makes me nervous for my

generation and again I think pause here

and say this is not Lisa saying you

Wicked people you Wicked Christians or

me saying my generation is terrible but

I think that healthy fear of God that

all of God as you were saying John

speaking on is what we need and so

that’s for anyone that’s like I might

turn out of this episode because it just

feels rude no like we’re asking for this

as well when my generation I see there’s

a lot of focus on God is love and and

God is peace well well I feel okay I

have peace about this sometimes ardan

and I were talk and we’ll say sometimes

it’s good when we don’t feel peace it

means God is speaking and I’m worried

that there’s just so much love and peace

that you’re as you’re saying we’re not

asking God for that hard rebuke for the

the Turning Away what would you say for

maybe the younger generation watching

this that wants that comfortable

Christianity or that’s all they’ve been

told well it’s interesting I actually

was watching another Minister preach on

um just a little clip on Instagram and

he said some things that were not wrong

and a lot of people are like no God

doesn’t hate anything I’m going to tell

you right now The God Who is love does

hate because God hates everything that

unmakes those he loves so God hates when

evil is called good God God even says he

hates divorce he he says that he says

because it takes two and it tears tears

them so there’s things that God hates

but everything that God hates is about

protecting who he loves and and going

back to my conversion I wasn’t perfect

right away and and here’s what happened

for me and here was my journey going

back to my sority I went back to my

sority everybody knew I was born again I

told everybody I’m born again I’m born

again I started praying for my soryy

sisters I’d walk the Halls at night

calling them out of a kingdom of

darkness into a kingdom of light I you

know prayed in the spirit I had young

girls coming to my room asking how to

get born again they saw the

transformation in my life because they’d

heard who I had been but you know nobody

really really actually knew I was a

Christian until I made a mistake

and for the very first time they saw me

humble myself and I think right now we

Christians rather than attacking what

we’re seeing you need to Humble

ourselves like so for example what

happened was I don’t know why I decided

to pick such a hard major I should have

majored an elementary Ed but instead I

was in international economics and I was

taking a stats and I was taking a uh

Financial Accounting course and I was

taking another one I had three finals

all in one day I don’t know if the

teachers were like let’s flunk out flunk

out the week and so I had stayed up all

night studying and I was at breakfast

and one of my soryy sisters comes in and

she looks at me and the two other girls

we’re all studying together and she was

like wow you guys look like you look

awful we’re like thank you thank you you

just keep moving and then she gets her

breakfast and sits down at her table and

she says

Toscano you look like you’ve been run

over by a car and I just remember I said

why are you such a beep in the morning

and I

mean the whole breakfast room froze

because the born again had cussed and

they’re all like what do we do with this

and she knew what to do with it she

stood up she called me out she said I

knew it couldn’t be true that you were a

Christian you were just too bad had and

she stormed out of the room and I

remember my roommate said I was just

about to say the same thing you’re like

should have waited no but instead I

stood up and I looked at all of my

sority sisters that were in the room at

that time and I said I am completely out

of line I owe all of you an apology and

they told me that was when they knew I

was a Christian for the first time

because before that I would have said

yeah or I would have said yeah get out

they said they had never seen me own my

mistake or humble myself you did the

hard thing exactly and and what I hear

over and over and over in the scripture

is if my people who are called by my

name what does it say

humble themselves pray seek my face and

turn from their own Wicked Ways we’re so

busy trying to turn everybody else from

their Wicked

Ways and God is like just be in charge

of yourself turn from your own Wicked

Ways now that doesn’t mean we don’t

stand up for

those we don’t speak truth that doesn’t

mean we say Hey you know we shouldn’t be

cutting up children we we don’t bow down

to the statue in front of us absolutely

but we don’t we do it in a way where it

is not judgmental but protective and so

when we humble ourselves when we pray

when we seek God’s face we turn from our

own Wicked Ways God makes a promise to

us he says he hears from heaven and he

heals our land and I watched what

happened during the elections

everybody’s like no no when we get this

candidate yeah and God’s like when my

people who are called by my name humble

themselves turn from their Wicked Ways

seek my face pray I will hear and I will

heal and right now when I read Romans 1

Paul was talking about the culture of

his day but the culture of his day is

now the culture of our day and it’s been

the culture of days past I mean this is

a cycle that happens and it continues to

happen until God’s people remember that

they’re priests that they can stand

between the altar of God and the

Brokenness of people and the sin of

people and cry out for Mercy when really

what we deserve is judgment and right

now I feel like we our nation is under

the Judgment of God because we are

calling evil good and good evil and

that’s one of the signs of the Judgment

of God it isn’t when fire falls it’s

when confusion Reigns it’s when we are

inhumane it’s when children are not

loved by their parents and parents are

not loved by their children

it’s when greed is the motivation it is

when the medical community lies to

people and and because of prophit when

when prophet and everything is the top

thing that is what’s going on right now

and it will not shift until the people

of God drop the stones and hit their

knees and I’m just going to tell you

guys I have very strong opinions on

things but God is not interested in my

opinions he’s interested in my

intercession yeah and he’s interested in

me owning my own mistakes and so you

know when I when I share Romans 1 I want

you to know this is God’s word this is

not our judgment and and it just locates

a

time but then it goes on and it locates

a people that are God’s people that can

begin to see things shift so there’s

hope in the middle of that that mess

because I can’t can’t control anybody

else but I can be responsible for my own

actions and the reality of us is we have

not allowed God to take us from me by

the hand we have preached weak powerless

messages that do not offer

transformation and do not say that the

God who is love is a consuming fire as

well we don’t we don’t do both sides we

just do the one side it’s kind of like

you know I watched something you post

the other day oh no and I saw I saw

ardan

swinging by his foot you’ve got the

protective mom but you’ve also got the

Dad that says come

on don’t be afraid embrace the wild do

and and God is the T in the tension of

of both the love and the hate and a lot

of people think that hate is the

opposite of love but that’s not true

hate is not the opposite of Love fear is

the opposite of love and so we’ve got to

stop being fear ful people and start to

love people mhm I’m thinking of the

woman watching this thinking yes Lisa

thank you this is a wakeup call this is

what I’m feeling but I don’t know what

to do and I want to go back to what you

highlighted is you God’s asking you to

answer to what he’s called you to and it

reminds me of the verse in Isaiah and as

for me in my home we will honor the Lord

and there’s so it’s a great Bible verse

to put on Pinterest and in the things

but there’s so much power there and I’ve

seen how you and John have done that and

it has transformed you as an individual

you as a couple you as a family and the

ripple effect that is so much more

powerful than the here and now and what

we can see that does change the world

that does turn a tide rather than what

I’m hearing you saying what I’m gleaning

and trying to relate to the other women

is instead of feeling like we have to

take a sword and fight everything we see

and and be scared for our children to to

raise them right now it’s how powerful

and Mighty Is it to say but I will

humble myself but I will take a stand

for God yeah and I mean we named Azariah

some people don’t know this she like I

love that name it’s biblical where is it

I’m like well actually shadra Mendo

his Hebrew name was Azariah and I love

that model of they didn’t go around

trying to cut at Nebuchadnezzar like

with a sword and like tell te every went

down they stood firm and they stood up

for God and that is what led to a nation

and in a ruler that was so corrupt

seeing God and so there’s power in your

home there’s power in your example and I

if you I don’t know if you’re ready to

close but at some point I would love for

you to pray over all of us watching and

even those that might not get to see

this but might meet the people watching

for eyes to be Open Hearts to be healed

yeah I think think that’s that’s what we

need yeah you know it’s never too late

it’s never too late to ask God to take

you firmly by the hand you know all of

us can go through Seasons where our

hearts just get just

hard that our hopes just get lost that

we feel jaded that we look around and

we’re we’re fed a constant stream of

confusion and fear and you’re like Lisa

you’re not telling us any like Romans

isn’t helping like but here’s the

thing God is inviting us to First

connect with him to Humble ourselves and

say God we’ve allowed fear to be a

counselor we’ve allowed judgment to be a

counselor God we’re inviting you right

now to take us firmly by the hand and

lead us into a radical life change

that’s what you were made for you were

never made for a small adjustment you

were made for a radical life change that

is why Millennials and gen Z’s they’ve

been moving away from the church and

droves because they know that they were

made for something more they were made

for a radical life change so I want to

pray with you father I just thank you

that each and every day is a day where

we humble ourselves and we say God less

of us more of you that we pray that we

seek your face and so father we

individually and we collectively as

women who are fighting for our family

are fighting for what it means to be a

female we ask you to take us firmly by

the hand and lead us into a radical life

change God we do not want to be those

that point fingers and let go of your

hand father we want to be holding on to

your hand so tight that we are walking

in your ways and we are following your

path so father give us eyes to see what

you are doing in the spirit give us

courage to have a heart to speak truth

in Love and Father May us may we walk in

a a time of healing for our nation

because God it is such a mess right now

that the only thing that will change our

nation is the power of your healing that

there would be a Revival that there

would be repentance that there would be

an outpouring of your spirit that you

would be glorified and worshiped in our

nation and let it begin with us

personally in jesus’ name amen amen if
