excerpt from Joseph Prince calm Martin

Luther by the way is the father the

Reformation great man of God and God

restored the truth of justification by

faith to Martin Luther but there were

some things that he taught that I never

knew that he taught until it took time

to study and what a strong reinforcement

for what God is doing all over the world

today that the things that some of the

things that got revealed to me got

revealed to him for example

Martin Luther he he would be he’s just

like me he believed in confession of

sins so much I believe that if you don’t

confess your sins you are not in

fellowship with God therefore God won’t

hear your prayers so I make sure that I

was very quick to catch my sins

you know this is talking about my life

as a believer some of you have my

testimony and I would confess unbelief I

would confess even fear I will confess

every wrong part you know if I

exaggerated a little

our confess to God and my life was so

fearful that that I was out of

fellowship they were confessed to God

you know all the time until I nearly

lost my mind always thinking that

there’s always some more sins to confess

I don’t understand these people teach

that 1 John 1:9 is for the believer and

unless you confess your sins God has not

forgotten or forgiven I can understand

people believe there and teach that and

yet I don’t see them confessing their

sins all the time you know and I was I

was a strong believer of that and I and

I practice that to the point that I was

always self opieop i hours introspective

I was depressed and Martin Luther was

the same Martin Luther was a German monk

and there was no self

there was no sacrifice there was so

there was no self-abnegation there was

no self-mutilation there was nothing

that he do to torture himself it is ever

enough to please God or else I mean

that’s how he felt and he will be in the

snow sleep in the snow just to make

himself suffer

thinking that he is creating merits with

God and he would confess his sins to the

Father you know he would go to their

father and spend six hours confessing

his sins and then when it comes out

he believes still that there’s some of

sins so I saw that the father that he

was confessing to the so-called church

father told him Martin go and sin proper

leading some Bank confess he was he was

fed up you know and and finally they

found something that to keep him

occupied they felt he was too too

introspective they gave him a job and he

was a scholar he was a professor the in

fact he specialized in the original

language of the Bible Greek of which our

New Testament is written and Hebrew our

Old Testament and they gave him a job as

a professor in a Bible School it was

there his life was changed because he

studied the New Testament in Greek and

and of course I always knew for years

that the verse that changed his life was

when he read his book of Romans in Greek

where it talks about the just shall live

by faith but I didn’t know this and in

this island during my time with the Lord

that he actually came across this word

repent and let me know they have been

teaching repent from the Greek word

Metanoia repentance is nothing more than

change your mind repentance in the Greek

is Metta Noah change mind let means

change your mind and our and Martin

Luther actually taught this to his

students his young students in the Bible

school he said it hey guys

I read my Greek what does your your your

Bible and they write their Bible in

Latin okay and and those students when

they read the pathway says repent they

say do penance and that’s translated by

Jerome send Jerome whom I believe is a

man of God a genuine man of God but

however he translated the word repent

with the work do penance but actually

the word repent in Greek is Metanoia

change of mind and Martin Luther said

guys this is repent in in great Matano

yeah

it means change of mine not do penance

which is works it is change of mine I

didn’t know that he he had the same

revelation hallelujah amen or had the

same revelation I came after you no but

this is one part of his life and his

teaching that I never knew about until

this retreat and it’s such a strong are

men from heaven for this grace

revolution that’s going on and I’m not

against confessing your sins

alright this invariably you have to face

a question for those who will find

there’s no problem facing this question

I got no problem with that 1 John 1:9

you gotta have this somehow come up when

you start believing that God has

forgiven you to Jesus Christ death on

the cross God has taken all your sins

put it on Christ Christ suffered all

your sins take the full penalty of it

died was buried and rose without your

sins he got raised him for your

justification amen and all that he did

he did for you and I praise the Lord

amen then comes the question if all our

sins and all our sins were future when

he died so this idea that we have

forgiven up to the point of conversion

doesn’t hold water because all our sins

were future when he died so once you

know that you are forgiven once and for

all then the question come in verily

invariably comes up what about 1 John

1:9 what about confessing your sins to

be forgiven verses once and for all

forgiveness ok so it’s down through the

years of course someone came up with

this saying oh we are forgiven of all

our sins when Christ died amen we are

forgiven of all our sins that is

judicial forgiveness but when you sin

you have to confess your sins to be

forgiven now I’m not against confessing

your sins in fact when you are in the

presence of someone that you can trust

whom you know loves you completely and

loves you unconditionally amen

like in the presence of your spouse

that’s what every marriage relationship

should be you can be frank you can be

all

when you can be honest a man in the

presence of such a one it is you don’t

you don’t you don’t reveal your intimate

secrets to an enemy so in fact the more

we preach full forgiveness complete

forgiveness people are willing to

confess their sins but they don’t

confess in order to be forgiven they

confess because they are forgiven and if

they forget to confess they’re still

forgiven I mean so they say that oh you

have forgiven once and for all yes is

all true past present and future

judicially but there is a forgiveness

when you sin you must confess in order

for God to forgive you this is family

forgiveness well this is really

double-talk am i forgiven or am I not if

you will subscribe to this you in very

end up with there must be some

unconfessed sin in my life and you

always have this feeling you know

whenever something is contingent on you

you are never really secure it is on

Christ hallelujah you are secure can I

have a good amen Church praise the name

of Jesus are you with me so far

you know and there are those who say

that well we are forgiven of all our

sins judicially but then apparently

fatherly there’s no question of

forgiveness and then they Illustrated

like this they say that if my son sinned

against me or have done something wrong

alright there can be no fellowship until

he say sorry and that was this picture

of Paul shoulder towards your son until

your son say sorry maybe it’s true for

some families but you’re trying to

project that to God that God waits until

you say sorry then God restores

fellowship my friend that is not the

gospel

in fact the prodigal son is a wonderful

picture of that when the son came home

after spending his father’s money on

riotous living when the father saw him

afar off the father ran notice what the

father did and what the son didn’t do

the father saw

the father Ren the father embraced the

son the father kissed him and the father

said kill the fatted calf we’ll

celebrate five reactions of five actions

from the father the son nothing he’d

even confess in fact after he realized

the father loved him still the father

forgave him he’s his father I’ve sinned

against heaven and earth but it’s almost

like falling on deaf ears the father’s

is less deliberate and my friend that’s

Bible I said that’s Bible you cannot be

anymore

out of fellowship with the father than

spending his money

first of all asking him for the

inheritance it’s almost like I cannot

wait for you all men to dropped it I

want my money now alright then you spend

your money on on harlots the Bible says

that riotous living only to find

yourself coming home and the moment you

hit the horizon the father is running

towards you I don’t see withholding of

fellowship the promise never on the

father’s spot the enemy was in the mind

of the boy he was never in the father

reconciliation never never is on dot to

be regular I disagree with songs that

are written saying that the blood of

Jesus reconcile God to men know it

reckons all men to God God never had any

massa T against us our promise our sins

yes but God sent his son it was God who

had no animosity towards it was while

were still sinners God send the son that

he loved to die for our sins that’s how

much God loves us the animosity is in

our heart the Bible says we are enemies

in our minds to us God and that’s why

repentance must happen in our minds

people I believe in repentance but

repentance like I said well Martin

Luther said is change of mine and the

first area you must change your mind

many times you put relegate repentance

to themselves

I must repent of this of that of this of

that itself occupation repentance is not

true repentance until it reveals to

you a fresh revelation of the Lord Jesus

Christ

it’s repentance towards God Paul went

everywhere preaching repentance towards

towards towards God changing of mine

towards God and faith in our Lord Jesus

Christ what does that mean change your

mind towards God use the thing that God

has against you now you believe God is

for you God is not out to find fault

with you God is out to bless you God is

not against you god it’s for you God

doesn’t hate you

he’s not mad at you God loves you that’s

repentance towards God that’s true

repentance and they may be a form of

repentance where you’re looking at

yourself and it’s nothing more than

another form of self occupation which in

the eyes of God is pride a man you see

the Bible okay.i back to this again the

Bible doesn’t say that there is one form

of forgiveness which is judicial another

form of forgiveness which is Parenteau

it does not teach that it takes the mind

of men to teach that and if you believe

that in 1 john 1:9 is referring to

family forgiveness all right to confess

your sin then the father forgives you

let me ask you then the next chapter how

do you explain this verse first John 2

verse 12 I’ll write to you little

children and this little children is a

very is a term of endearment it means my

dear little children my dear ones

children my dear children literally

Technion in the greek my little children

I write to you because your sins are

forgiven you for his name’s sake now

this is the in the next chapter of 1

John 1:9 and it tells you that you are

forgiven and the forgiven there in the

Greek is the perfect tense and perfect

tense means you are forgiven once and

for all it never be repeated that is

perfect tense now crash

Ian’s class little children is that a

family term or is it a legal term little

children little children answer me

is it a family term my little ones if

father was say this maybe is this a

family term or is this a judicial term a

term use in the courts of law

it’s a family term but it tells us that

we are forgiven perfect chance once and

for all I’m sure that when John wrote

dears John knew something about the

gospel that we all need to learn when

John was writing to believers obviously

was writing to people who that morning

they might not have it all together

someone had quarrel with his wife or the

wife of the husband a teenage boy has

gone rebellious yesterday night all

right someone has beaten us in his heart

towards another person in the church I’m

sure these people are not perfect yet

John use something for him to be able to

write I write to you my little children

because your sins are forgiven you for

his namesake

the true Christianity the gospel of

Jesus Christ in its authentic essence is

forgiveness base and we are forgiven of

all our sins may I ask you a question

and if only the law ask me okay he knew

that I knew this verse so you asked me

this

what do you deem is the greatest of all

sins what do you think the greatest of

all sins I’ll tell you right now Paul

wrote this words whatever is not of

faith is sin whatever is not a faith is

sin one peep

confess their sins you know what it

confess the big ones when they watch fun

when they tell a lie when they take

drugs they thing in their minds these

are the ones who confess but the biggest

of all sins the sin that produce all

sins is unbelief I’m gonna prove that to

you don’t take my word for it I already

told you what the Word of God says

whatever is not of faith is sin okay you

know the group that’s a there’s a list

of groups of people that go into the

lake of fire hell in the book of

Revelation and it tells us by the ways

many times in the Bible when the Bible

is group by group the first one usually

is by order of importance not always

like that

but many at times yes like for example

the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit the

first one is the word of wisdom which is

the greatest of all the gifts I don’t

have to put importance on any gift every

gift is important but in terms of

importance and and weightiness the word

of wisdom first just like the book of

Proverbs wisdom is the principal thing

Christ is made unto us first wisdom even

before righteousness so who are the ones

that go to hell the first two lists you

think is it a whoremongers is it a

sorceress but the fearful and

unbelieving the first two groups that go

into hell are the fearful and

unbelieving do we confess that do we

confess when we are in fear do we

confess when we are in unbelief well if

you believe you don’t confess all right

you’re not forgiven then you better

confess your fears and every time you’re

an unbeliever but I confess it or else

you are not in fellowship and it says

severely the fearful and unbelieving are

the worse that leads the group look at

the rest of the group abominable there’s

not a snowman by the way murderers and

whoremongers by the way mongers

you know in the new sort of translations

is sexually immoral sexually immoral and

the greek word is a word that none of

you know is called porno

the Greek word is actually pornos with

an S alright where you get a word

pornography sorceress black magic green

magic blue magic whatever magic occult

sorceress I delay this all Liars shall

have their part in the lake which burns

with fire and brimstone which is the

second death the Bible is very clear but

notice the two groups that lead the

group fearful unbelieving

and yet we don’t confess these things

many at times as I spend time the Lord

the Lord showed me something that never

had anyone preached this why when I saw

me this view is all in context do you

realize that when our Lord Jesus walk on

earth he acted like he never he never

hidden hidden any police way he did not

relate the Damned based on their sins

it’s like he did impute sin to them have

you noticed that in the Gospels Jesus

met the woman caught in adultery and he

saved her he was aware of her saying yes

but it’s almost like you know it did not

affect his kindness to her there’s a

verse in 2nd Corinthians 5 that says God

was in Christ many times people miss

foot then and say God is in Christ no

God was referring to when he what on

earth God was in Christ reconciling the

world unto himself not imputing their

trespasses unto them when you read your

Gospels is good way to see how Jesus

related people around him

the sinners know that it’s almost like

he never noticed amok their sin if they

come to him sick he’ll give them healing

he never tells them one one place to

confess their sins now there’s a lot

repentance yes in fact changing of mine

is something that’s happening even now

many of you sitting down here you are

repenting every Sunday when you come you

are repenting how do I know you used to

believe this way now you don’t believe

this way you believe this way amen some

of you do a few of you might not believe

in hell

you believe in hell amen you are

repenting amen

use the thing that God has against you

now you believe God is for you you are

repenting your repentance towards God

something you say repent something you

don’t say repent Jesus sometimes days

repent

something don’t say repent but I tell

you this every repentance must be a

fresh revelation of our Lord Jesus you

know to the seven churches five of them

he says repent and when he says repent

that this thing says he who has a fiery

eyes not a church this thing says he who

holds the seven stars in his hand this

thing says he whose feet burn like fire

in the burner in a furnace

it’s always a fresh revelation of Jesus

and that popular Church is suffering

because they don’t have that revelation

of Jesus so every repentance has got to

do with a fresh revelation of our Lord

Jesus I’m going to show you something

that the Lord showed me in my time with

him that says a fresh revelation in John

20 Jesus just rose from the dead then

the same day at evening being the first

day of the week it’s a Sunday right like

today the first day of the week when the

doors were shut where the disciples were

assembled for fear of the Jews for fear

of God no why were they hiding there

why were they bolting the doors why

because they were afraid of the Jews

here what is fear sin whatever is not of

faith is sin of all the groups which

group went in first

fearful listen that’s listen in

revelation 3:1

fearful now they are fearful this is

post cross post resurrection

you tell me where Jesus when Jesus walk

on earth pastor Prince here he didn’t

mock sin

he treated them embracing all that but

now he’s risen from the dead he expect

more from us well this is post

resurrection this post crucifix

this after he rose from the dead and

he’s dealing with his church people are

they perfect no do they have sin yes

notice how he reacted towards them they

are in fear which is sin all right Jesus

came and stood in the midst by the way

he loved to stand in the middle always

he wants to be the midst of your

marriage in the midst of your business

life in the midst of your studies in the

midst of your relationships in the midst

of your heart Jesus came and what do you

say confess your sins

they say that no peace Shalom peace be

with you

Lord wait a minute they are out of

fellowship with you or are they as far

as he’s concerned there is no such thing

as out of fellowship he sought them out

when they were in their fear they didn’t

seek him he appeared to them and his

first words were hey Shalom guys he

shush their fears Shalom

remember what I told you repentance is

always unveiling himself to us we see

more of him he made them repent without

using the word repent see when he had

said this piece he showed them his hands

and his side then the disciples were

glad when they saw the Lord

in other words he says guys peace they

were fearful peace Shh your sins are

forgiven

justice satisfied Satan defeated man

reckons out Shh

your conscience touch you have a purge

conscience no more sin consciousness and

he showed them the divine receipts his

hands and his side these are the divine

receipts from heaven saying is every

reason why you can be at peace are you

with me so far

not one word about their fear and yet he

made them repent by

showing himself his hands his sight the

proof of payment they have every reason

to be at peace now if 1 John 1:9 is what

they say it is then this part here the

law cannot even have this attitude of

fellowship towards them because they

have not confessed their sins in fact

they don’t even plan to confess he loved

them before they can confess just like

the father the prodigal son loves the

son before he can say I’ve sinned

against heaven and earth next verse oh

by the way verse 20 he showed them his

hands his sight then the disciples were

glad when they saw the Lord every time

you see the Lord Jesus you see him in

his beauty and his love for you you know

your gladden now you have peace and you

have joy which is what the kingdom of

God is all about peace and joy in the

Holy Spirit so a real testimony is peace

and joy amen and they had peace and joy

when they saw the Lord

so every time someone reveals Jesus may

you go out of this place today and say I

saw Jesus today may there be more peace

more joy peace and joy can be increased

and the more you see him the more

increases in your life there’s a

wonderful testimony you don’t have to

preach sometimes your face just shines

amen the radiance will convict people I

mean so let’s go on next verse so jesus

said to them again peace to you that’s a

double peace amen it seems like he’s

after he showed them his hands in sight

and they was glad and he says to them

again peace be unto you all right and

when he had said this he breathed on

them damned who then who were fearful

then who were trembling damned who were

hiding behind closed doors because they

were fearful he briefed on them and said

receive the Holy Spirit whoa

oh wait a minute I thought they were out

of fellowship so obviously the Lord

doesn’t see the way some theologians see

you today

he sees them in the light of his

finished work he briefed on them while

they were fearful or maybe by now he’s

unveiling has brought joy and peace of

your hearts and he breathed the Holy

Spirit under you see the way he leads

them into holiness because holiness is

pseudo holiness he has no peace and joy

and no revelation of Jesus don’t come to

talking to me about

let’s have practical holiness and you

know that you’re baptized in lemon juice

you’re a bad testimony of holiness all

right last part we’ll go down here same

chapter same chapter okay

yes who was not there that’s Sunday

Thomas the Tank Engine that my son loves

Justin loves Thomas the Tank Engine

you know the Train Thomas wasn’t there

so I call him doubting Thomas so the

disciples told Thomas the same day hey

our Lord appeared today this morning he

came to us and and he should have showed

us his hand his sight

you know Thomas said drop down same

chapter the other disciples therefore

said to him we have seen the Lord Thomas

said to them unless I see in his hands

the print of the nails and put my finger

into the print of the nails and put my

hand into his side I will not believe

just now was fear now is unbelieving

fearful and unbelieving so now this guy

is it a sin yes the two main ones that

lead the group into hell and now

believers or rather this guy’s

unbelieving believer you know the

unbelieving believer is an oxymoron so

unless I put my hands into his side into

his his nail prints in his hands I will

not believe and after eight days eight

days means what from one Sunday to

another Sunday now the Lord never leaves

us nor forsake us

even though is Monday Tuesday Wednesday

but it’s very interesting that after he

rose from the day

he appeared to the disciples from Sunday

to Sunday to Sunday before he ascended

there is something special on a Sunday

when we come together to meet the Lord

he’s there to meet us

arouse these examples would not mean

anything there’s no insignificant detail

in the Bible we pour over the Fountain

of Life which is the Bible every detail

every nuance every feature is therefore

a divine reason to instruct our souls

and for those who know the Bible is

God’s brief word every feature is

important so next Sunday

by the way that means what Thomas live

in sin for seven days

he was unbelieving those who say well

you know maybe God can tolerate you are

being fearful once a while now you just

lowered God’s standard and you are the

measure of it you decide no okay you

talk about length of time this is eight

days he was unbelieving he decides after

eight days his disciples were again

inside and Thomas with them Jesus came

the doors being shut and stood in the

midst and said what again peace to you

Shalom next verse then he said to Thomas

repent Thomas spent three and a half

years with you and I told you our rice

from the day you don’t believe get out

of here now Thomas you don’t belong to

my group or Ellie’s confess before you

can get back in fellowship with me did

he say that we created Jesus and we

present it to the people there is not

the Jesus of the Bible

now one of the needs of the greatest

revolution and it’s happening in the

earth today what do you say he said

Thomas Thomas had special attention is

it Thomas one reach your finger here and

look at my hands and reach your hand

here and put it into my sight

do not be unbelieving but deleting but

what unbelieving is the same greek word

that says fearful and unbelieving just

now of all those who are going to lay a

fire same Greek word epistle he also do

not be a pistols do not be unbelieving

but believing the correct Thomas yes

does a lot correct us yes

not with sickness and disease he correct

us with a fresh revelation of himself is

always either behold my hands or even

thought promised touch me it’s always a

revelation of himself

repentance is always a fresh revelation

of himself wish my hand fill me fill my

sight jesus said to him Thomas

now does that sound like someone who is

out of fellowship when he calls your

name Thomas because you have seen me you

have believed oh let’s look at Thomas

reaction I forgot to tell you Thomas

answered and said to Jesus I confess to

you Lord did you say that Lord forgive

me Lord no what is it my lord

is a revelation of him my Lord and my

god

then jesus said to him Thomas because

you have seen me you have believed

blessed are those that have not seen

blessed are those that have not seen

blessed blessed blessed are those who

have not seen and yet believe

blessed are those who have not seen and

yet believed blessed blessed Thomas you

believe because you see blessed are

those who have not seen blessed and yet

believed and yet believed when the Lord

is to me I said to myself Lord I will

never again be introspective no more

self occupied by Christ occupied and

Fran if you think that this will lead to

licentiousness let me tell you this

believing the other brand of 1 John 1:9

will lead to life interest us people

start thinking is ok largest were in sin

first later on I can confess but this

will cause you to fall in love of Jesus

in spite of all your imperfections as he

loves you into wholeness he didn’t wait

until you’re perfect and then loves you

it doesn’t wait until you’re no more

fearful than he loves you they don’t

wait until you’re normal unbelieving

that he loves you he loved you in the

midst of your unbelieving it comes to

you and it calls you by name Thomas and

get my friend produces true repentance
