hey Aubrey yeah I just want to um thank
you for joining me today oh dad of
course I’m just so um grateful to be
here with you and you know what our
hearts are overflowing with gratitude
for you now can you tell what today’s
all about gee I wonder what I wonder
what it is you know the words thank you
are extremely powerful and we all know
what it feels like to hear thank you but
we also know what it feels like to not
hear it for instance when you’re at a
restaurant and you say thank you or
someone you work with and you Express
gratitude for everything that they’ve
done you know thank you is one of the
first things that I taught my girls to
say please and thank you why because
thankfulness confers value it also helps
us recognize others which combats our
selfish human nature that’s right and
the words thanks and Thanksgiving and
gratitude they’re in the Bible over 300
times so you can see how important it is
to God it is and giving thanks it allows
us to give honor to God for all that
he’s done for us but it also guards our
hearts from bitterness or discouragement
now Philippians 4:7 says this do not be
anxious about anything but in every
situation situation by prayer and
petition with what Thanksgiving
present your requests to God and the
peace of God which transcends all
understanding will guard your hearts and
your minds in Christ Jesus Thanksgiving
is the key to taking us Beyond any
bitterness or hurt or discouragement and
it puts us in a place of God’s perfect
peace that like the scripture says it
transcends all of our understanding or
lack thereof well here in the United
States it’s Thanksgiving
now why does that matter so much it’s
more than just a turkey dinner pumpkin
spice lattes or mashed potatoes and
gravy the first Thanksgiving was a
celebration it was for the pilgrims of a
Bountiful Harvest after a year of
sickness and scarcity they lost half of
their original group but even in the
midst of all of that they still return
Thanksgiving to God so whatever your
heart is feeling going into this holiday
season today we want to encourage you
and take you inside the true meaning of
Thanksgiving I’m thankful to be alive
today I’ve been through breast cancer
and I’m just so grateful that I could
say 14 years later I’m Healed and I’m
whole and I’m so grateful I’m thankful
for family I’m thankful for the ministry
I found my husband here I’ve learned so
much about the word and I’ve found my
home away from home I moved here quite a
few years ago and what I found is family
fellowship and amazing friends you know
holidays have a lot of traditions right
and especially as a kid growing up you
think about those Traditions but you
don’t think about them as a kid you’re
just you’re just having fun you’re just
living life living life sitting at the
Kids Table going through the buffet line
like it doesn’t matter right getting the
dessert first I just remember as a kid
what our tradition was around
Thanksgiving was so much food first of
all right way way more food than you
needed all the family all the cousins
tons of noise and I just have such
wonderful memories right of that growing
up but you know as we get older things
change that’s right maybe it’s
geographically maybe you move away from
family um or maybe Financial changes
where things have to change and then
sometimes maybe we experience a a death
in the family or l in the family I still
remember a couple of years ago our first
Thanksgiving without my grandmother and
Thanksgiving really revolved around her
in so many ways and that first
Thanksgiving without her it’s just
different it’s very different in 2021 my
dad passed away and that first
Thanksgiving it it it hit hard cuz it
was revolved around family and my dad
and it was always in our home and it was
just very different it was it was a
little different
so when did he pass away in April 2021
okay so in those few months what what
were where were you at mentally or in
your heart heading into the holiday
season after he passed that whole month
it was the whole month of April leading
into May was so hard it was very
difficult my mind was running wild as
you can imagine um I was angry I was
hurt I would complain and God but I was
believing what happened you know yeah
and I I know a lot of people kind of
just grin and bear the holidays right
right some you know there’s some people
that can’t wait and they’re already at
Hobby Lobby getting all their Christmas
decorations February in February um but
then there are some people that just
think to themselves I just want to get
through it yeah how did you get through
it was there a key moment for you that
maybe things began to change because
those of you that know you and I feel
like I know you well but those of you
that know you they they don’t see you
angry and mad and upset right um but was
there a key moment for you that
something changed something clicked
right um before I tell you about that
key moment you just reminded me this
past weekend someone asked me how are
your parents how’s your dad doing and I
was like oh well my dad you know he
passed away in 2021 but it goes to show
about that key moment that I’m about to
tell you that they can’t even tell where
I was at yeah in in the end of April
beginning of May I was hanging out with
the family again I was angry and hurt
and complaining
questioning um and we were hanging out
with a family and I saw how a spouse was
was a little ungracious you know they
they weren’t being too gracious to their
spouse and in my mind just this
complaining but what if why did she get
to keep her spouse if my mom I saw my
mom respect my dad she had the utmost
respect the honor for my dad even in
their troubled times you know as every
marriage right um but I just saw her
respect him and that started rising up
within me and they left our house um
Lemuel my husband left with them and I
stayed home alone and tears just started
coming down complaining and started
thinking and all this anger and I was
talking to God and I was like why why
why my why did my mom it seemed I I
asked like why did my mom have to lose
her husband my dad it seemed in that
moment like it was unfair my perspective
was that’s not fairh and um in an
instant I in that grumbling in that
grieving in that sorrow in an instant I
heard in my spirit God just tell me give
thanks wow and so when the first words
that came out of my mouth I I said thank
you God for my Dad’s life it was at that
moment grieving like it was like the
chains of grieving sorrow anger
complaining just broke instantly
instantly and all these memories I just
feel the chills all these memories just
started coming to my head about my Dad’s
life
and I just when those memories were
flooding my mind what was coming out of
me was thank you God for the last 29
years that I had my dad it was that key
moment that changed my the trajectory of
my life well and in that moment it
wasn’t that Thanksgiving oh this is easy
this is I can do this it wasn’t an easy
it was a step of Faith right it was
walking on the water with all the waves
happening yeah because I I I would get
sad I still get sad but in those moments
I have to find myself get my soul in
alignment to my spirit and say thank you
yeah thank you go back to that moment
and remember thankfulness will bring you
in alignment to the spirit there’s two
things that you just said that um I I
want to mention CU she said it caused me
to remember to be thankful remembering
is very spiritual very it’s scriptural
Jesus said about about the communion
table he said what do this in
remembrance he wanted us to remember
because he knew the power of remembering
what Jesus did what it does for us
because that remembering evokes the
Thanksgiving the Gratitude but it wasn’t
something that started off easy right
but the immediate relief was there right
right like you said those chains were
just broken right it was it was a relief
an immediate relief but hasn’t the last
3 years have has it hasn’t been easy
yeah I again going back to you have to
take yourself back especially in the
holidays that first Thanksgiving the
first Christmas was hard it was hard I
kind of didn’t want to celebrate you
just wanted to get through it I wanted
to get through it but I thought my
family needs me I know where I stand in
my spirit with God in my relationship
with God I have the strength I’m strong
in the Lord I Thank thank you God for my
Dad’s life let’s do this and I would put
Thanksgiving together the last three
years Thanksgiving Christmas any
birthdays you know but even in that the
place that you were at because of that
key of Thanksgiving it enabled the rest
of your family mhm to enjoy right so
there’s something in you God’s put maybe
he’s put something in you to be the
leader to be the example and it’s I
don’t want to say as simple as but be
saying thank you is a simp simple thing
right doesn’t make it easy but it is
simple Thanksgiving changes your
perspective it does it changes how you
see things hear things think things it
changes so much so much I was reading
the other day um that an average human
speaks 16,000 words a day if those
16,000 if we use a quarter of them even
half of them a day giving thanks what it
would do to our life what it will do to
our perspective to our thought life yeah
because when we change what’s coming out
it changes everything on the outside but
it changes on the inside too like you
were saying right that Chang when you
started confessing Thanksgiving you
changed on the inside that made a change
on the outside right and we want to
encourage you right now regardless of
where you at going into this holiday
season maybe you’re where Ruby was at um
where she was angry and things were
difficult and hard and a challenge but
but we want to challenge you how are you
using your 16,000 words what can you be
thankful for if you’ve got one thing to
be thankful for say that one thing it
over and over and over yes but the but
above all else you can be thankful for
Jesus so I want to encourage you going
into this season say thank you I’m very
thankful to be here at candid C
Ministries I’m thankful to be healthy
I’m really thankful that I’m able to
actually um have a consistent workout
routine and I never thought I was a
runner but now I’m thankful that I wake
up every morning and I do want to run
that God gives me the strength too and
I’m so excited I’m thankful for my
parents you know they provided for me
every step of the way they’ve been there
um and it’s just been a huge blessing in
my life and I love them very much so
Philippians 46 and 7 says this be
careful for nothing now I like the
Amplified translation of this because it
says this do not fret or have any
anxiety about anything but in everything
by prayer and supplication with
Thanksgiving and that’s the important
thing here with Thanksgiving let your
requests be made known under God and the
result of that is the peace of God which
passes all understanding shall keep your
hearts in your minds through Christ
Jesus you know Thanksgiving is the
language of Faith where when your
Thanksgiving goes up towards God there
is an open window to Heaven that just
Pours Down everything that we need and
Thanksgiving when you look it up in the
Greek it’s it is expressions of
gratitude and
appreciation I was listening to Keith
Moore one day and he was talking about
uh an encounter that he had with the
Lord and I want to read this to you
because this is so important uh the Lord
spoke something to my heart this is to
brother Keith a number of years ago it
took place during a time of being quiet
and waiting on the Lord now part of my
responsibility at Kenneth haen
Ministries was to teach the healing
school I started out by simply helping
as time went by they turned it over to
me the Lord taught me to get quiet and
meditate the word before those sessions
the result will be a stronger anointing
and a greater utterance I would fast my
breakfast and lunch on the day
designated to the laying on of hands
I would get quiet before the Lord to
prepare myself and the Lord spoke to my
heart during one of those times he said
this Keith would you like to know how to
increase your capacity to receive from
me now what a statement that is would
you like to know how to increase your
capacity to receive from me and I can
hear you right now yes Lord we want to
know well Keith said I didn’t have to
think about that very long I said yes
yes and please
yes this question tells us much about
ourselves first of all our capacity to
receive from God is
unlimited however not everyone is on the
same level of receiving it’s not because
God is a respector of persons or that
God is playing favorites the limitation
is based on our own ability to receive
from him brother Keith went on years AG
go I wanted to give something to someone
that was very precious to me when I
presented this gift to him he said how
much does it cost I said nothing I’m
giving you a gift he replied I can’t
receive this I said yes you can just
open your hands and I’ll turn it loose
he said I can’t receive this I said you
can if you will but he ended up not
receiving the gift that I wanted to give
to him we’re in the same position with
God we can only enjoy what we have the
capacity to receive do we all have the
same capacity to receive from God no but
we all have the same ultimate
potential so the Lord said this to Keith
Keith would you like to know how to
increase your capacity to receive from
me and Keith said yes yes please yes and
the Lord said cultivate a lifestyle of
Thanksgiving what a statement that is
cultivate a lifestyle of
Thanksgiving father we heed this word
and we know that you want to pour
yourself out over us you want to give us
everything that is
needful and Lord you told brother Keith
that in order to increase our capacity
to receive
we need to cultivate Thanksgiving Lord
we commit to do that we will thank you
for everything in our lives I’m thankful
for my children and my friends I am
thankful for the faithfulness of God we
have been believing God for a house and
this year we moved into our brand new
home and I’m just so grateful for his
goodness I am thankful for this place
where I’m at today kth coping Ministries
I’m so grateful for this place because
through kcbc and through KCM I have
learned how to live my life in Victory
okay everybody Welcome to our very first
inside the vision cooking segment what
we want to do today is talk you through
a Thanksgiving staple Ruby what are we
going to be making today you said it
it’s a staple and it’s mac and cheese oh
mac and cheese so good so creamy is this
gluten-free uh well we can pray about
that we’ll pray over it we’ll pray over
it no judgement if it’s not right okay
Ruby we have a lot of things here but
tell us some of the ingredients or
actually probably all the ingredients
that they’re going to need yeah so we’ll
need uh 16 oz of macaroni we need half a
cup of butter which is one stick just
one mhm and then we’re going to need
half a cup of flour one teaspoon of salt
pepper to taste four cups of milk and
four cups of cheese and the water to
boil M so I think as much cheese as
possible is probably the best idea the
more cheese the better oh absolutely yes
more
cheese okay so how do we get started so
to get started we need to shred more
cheese so if you guys would like to grab
Che here going grab the cheese take that
okay so we finished grating the cheese
yes what is the next step Next Step
would be to boil the macaroni boil the
macaroni okay can I help with that we
have boiling water going all right here
we go there we go and auy can you grab
the oil and the salt we’ll need that as
well okay so to start off we’re going to
need in Spanish we say a little chorito
chorito okay so just a little bit a
little bit
yeah there you go perfect and then we’re
going to do about two pinches of salt
don’t be scared
either
perfect perfect okay pastor George
you’re going to go ahead and go in been
waiting for this moment wow here we go
well done perfect good job we stir it
let’s go ahead and stir it yes we can
close the pot and then we’ll get started
on our R all right so we’re going to put
the butter in the pan so it can melt
that’s the first thing we’re going to do
and we’re going to whisk it cuz we want
to make sure it doesn’t burn Okay now
what’s next all right so we’re going to
pour in the flour all of it all of it do
you want me to spread it around you can
spread it around oh this is so good and
then Aubrey you’re going to go ahead and
whisk it as he’s doing as he’s doing it
yeah yes so it’s going to turn into this
thick creamy base and after that uhhuh
it’s called what the room uhh and after
that we’re going to want to add in the
milk okay so little by little so not all
at
once there we go go ahead yep there go
ahead and stop Pastor George yeah let
her whisk it cuz we want to make sure
that the milk doesn’t burn go ahead a
little bit
more you’re doing so good yeah that’s
all four cups that will need so we need
to to pour in all of it yeah all of it
now yeah go
ahead okay perfect so now we need to as
she’s whisking it cuz we don’t want the
milk to burn uh we need to add salt and
pepper okay salt and can I do that you
can take over whisky oh that’s good okay
how much okay for salt we’re going to
need a teaspoon of
salt perfect and then for the pepper
it’s to taste so why don’t we do just a
couple of add a couple of pinches yeah
that’d be great how’s that that’s good
you want to take over whisking I’ll take
over whisking we get so go ahead and
grab chees go ahead and start pouring it
in good wo oh my gosh you’re going to
see the cheese is starting to melt that
was spectacular I’m going to eat that
one I’m going to ask you to whisk it so
you can see how creamy it is right it
looks so good that’s really it may seem
watery to some people but once it cools
down it gets a little bit thicker okay
so now that we’ve strained our noodles
we’re going to add it to a oven safe
dish Pastor George can you grab that
sure while you do that Aubrey I’m going
to have you put in the cheese sauce into
the noodles and mix it
okay fingers crossed everybody oh here
we go oh nice
job
SPAC is that good yeah so now we’re
going to go ahead and mix it
wow look at that yum I can taste it
already Okay once it’s well mixed if we
can put it in the oven safe dish and
then we’re going to sprinkle cheese all
on top okay okay I shall scoop look at
us with this team workor great team
workor SC team work makes the cheese
work okay uh oh it looks so good now
what now we just need the cheese on top
cheese so we can sprinkle that cheese so
just sprinkle sprinkle it on want all of
it depending on how cheesey yes
depending on how cheesy want oh there’s
white cheese under there look at that
yes oh okay so since we’ve heated up the
oven at 350 we’re just going to pop it
right in there okay okay so would you
like me to move that actually this isn’t
hot so

so what is the main purpose of
Thanksgiving well it’s to give thanks
it’s to give thanks to God for all that
he has done right all that he is doing
and all that he’s going to do but right
now we wanted to take an opportunity and

personally testify that he causes the
Widow’s heart to sing for Joy she also
writes I’m also praying for my grown
children Amanda and Gabriel and their
families to have receptive hearts and
receive salvation from our Lord Jesus
Christ absolutely I praise God for her
that the Lord has helped her through
that but also for the family father we
agree together in Jesus name over her
family and I thank you that the laborers
are out in the field right now
ministering to them and helping them and
leading them to you Lord we thank you
for this and for all that are believing
for their families to receive salvation
it’s being done now in Jesus name amen

Journal I wrote down that I needed a
bigger place for my family I wrote it
down I made it plain and detailed and
ran with it she said I prayed over it we
are now in a four-bedroom house and out
of a small apartment God oh that’s
glorious that’s exciting and as a mother
with a lot of kids I understand the
amount of space is such a beautiful
thing I know you well we want to hear
your testimonies and if the Lord has
done something for you it’s important to

the blood of the lamb and the word of
