Wavy Faith // Crazy Faith (Part 4)

so um we bout to get right into this

thing because I got a word I just want

to let you know that this crazy fave

series is doing something beyond the

walls of this church down in here me I

said this crazy fave series is doing

something beyond the walls of this

church in three weeks of us doing this

series I need you to hear me over 1.1

million people have heard the message of

crazy faith and now Eva all know the

Great Commission or you don’t go into

all duh

now I can’t physically be a good husband

and be a father to my children and and

be able to leave and be gone all the

time to reach all the people that I can

reach but God has used this thing as

technology and people that are are in

places where it’s not even a permissible

for them to declare their a Christian

this message is seeping through every

hole and getting to their hearts y’all

this is what we get to be a part of can

we give God some praise

that we’re impacting the world don’t

think it’s about Pastor Mike but but but

everybody watching online and everybody

that’s in here this church is not built

on one person’s gift it’s built on the

sacrifice of so many and so I just want

to say thank you

we literally have somebody in this

service who have been affected by our

ministry and came they serve in the Air

Force I believe and came from Guam to

being where you at Michael where you at

where to go

help me where yet is he to my right

where yeah Mike where you at you all the

way in the back whose seat is this right

we need to pray I don’t know what he’s

going through but he came here not for

information he came here in desperation

so father we put our hands on Mike right

that whatever he came looking for he’s

gonna find it in you father God we thank

you that ha ha ha all right now I need

y’all to pray this is our secret sup I

think you that nobody flies 2 days to

get to a place and you don’t want to

have a transformation happen in our life

I say whatever is dying we’ll live and

not die in the name of Jesus we declare

and we believe that you are transforming

him from the inside out and we thank you

that today is Michael’s day of victory

we believe it has a church and we thank

you in advance for it in Jesus name

I don’t know if you thought you was just

coming to a church to get three points

in the poem but we’re into life

transformation here

and that’s what the church is all about

and I declare over everybody else who

has a situation of desperation right now

lift your hands over here that’s not

exclusive to him that’s for anybody that

has it father I thank you that their

situation that looks like it’s dying it

will live and not die the marriage will

live and not die their dreams will live

and not die father you’re giving us a

supernatural impartation of your grace

today to be able to walk into situations

we left on Friday and walk in with a new

perspective on Monday that we’re able to

be a difference maker that maybe you

haven’t punished us there but maybe

you’ve sent us there to be something of

a difference maker god I thank you

faith and we believe in you

I don’t know what y’all came to do at

this service but sit down I got a free

hey I love when the Holy Spirit

interrupts our plans amen well and leave

all of this in the recording

I need the world to see what God is

doing at a place like this you hear me

okay so we’re starting today we’re

starting part 4 of a series we’re

calling help me now y’all been in this

series long enough to know we ain’t just

saying crazy faiths y’all need to say it

like y’all mean it this is part 4 of a

series we call it there I am I love it

and today I don’t got time for no

pageant trees and no introductions let’s

go to the Bible Matthew chapter 14 verse

28 um I think one of the things that I’m

learning in this series is that faith

increases as you keep talking about

faith like like you go from one level to

the next level to the next level to the

next up so I’m just telling you I don’t

know how long we gonna be in this series

because every time I go to study God

shows me another level of faith and so

today we’re gonna look at a common story

that people usually use when they talk

about having faith and not having faith

but I’m praying and I’m believing that

there will be revelation and the thing

you got to know about Revelation is

revelation all that means is revealed

truth so you can literally be sitting

there looking at something and it’s

covered up but when there’s revelation

what ends up happening is the truth that

was there all along gets revealed and

and many times we read our Bible for

information or inspiration but I dare

you to start asking God to give you

revelation because revelation when you

sit down to read the Bible you look at

the same scripture a thousand other

people have looked at and not get

nothing but when God breathes on it and

you’ve seen it a hundred times before

then you get revelation and revelation

is the thing that causes transformation

y’all owe him until you get a revelation

of something you won’t change most of us

have information that working out is

good you got that information

but until you go to the doctor and they

give you a report that says your

cholesterol is this high if you do not

and you’re obese if you do not start

eating better you probably will die in

the next 10 years that’s a revelation

like like that takes off the cover off

of summer I already knew and revelation

leads to transform it and so what I want

you to do is I want you to be

transformed and so in this series we’re

gonna look at Peter now Peter

I call him a gangster disciple cuz Peter

is the one who really lives at the line

of like doing everything that God says

to do in a right way and like cutting

your ear off you understand what I’m

saying like Peter’s like right there at

51 percent me and Peter we kind of seem

similar because I’ve watched his life

and I’ve seen different things that he’s

done and I was like I identify with

Peter like when Jesus told Peter he was

about to be crucified like Peter stood

up and was like I tell you the truth

Jesus that’s not gonna happen

and in Jesus was like get behind me

Satan and I felt rebuked like that

before

when God told me to do something and I

was supposed to do he said Michael you

are a lie and so Peter he’s one of my

favorite characters in this scenario

we’re going to see Peter do something

that only two men in history have ever

done Peter is about to walk on one now

now you’re clapping but I need you to

realize nobody has ever done this before

and this is where it’s going to take

crazy faith but we really understood

through the walking through this series

that crazy faith doesn’t start at crazy

crazy faith starts with baby thing and

and there’s something that God can do

with the faith the size of a mustard

seed and last week I think a lot of

people got free because we started

understanding that that once you go from

crazy faith to baby faith sometimes you

progress to a place where it’s like

maybe faith like you got a step beyond

fear and step over the line into faith

and you don’t have to be a hundred

percent sure 82 percent sure sixty-four

percent sure

as long as you’re 51 percent sure it’s

God that you’re not gonna live in fear

anymore and you’re not gonna stay in the

valley of indecision but you’re gonna

step over and say if I think this is God

if I it smells like him it sounds like

him it confirms in his word I might

actually go for it and and so we found

the power of maybe faith today as we

talk about Peter I want to title this

message wavy faith cuz sometimes when

when you start walking with God he’s

going to ask you to step out of what’s

comfortable and walk on something that

has never held anybody else up he’s

gonna ask you to be the first person in

your family to be able to to to stay

married longer than five years but well

I can’t do that cuz nobody in my family

has ever done that and God’s saying come

on out a little deeper I’m calling you

to wavy faith I’m calling you to a place

where nobody in your family ever filled

out the FAFSA before but he’s called you

to not just get into college but

complete it and have the faith to

believe that he’ll be paid off by the

time you get out y’all don’t believe it

he’s calling you in to weigh these

things but the problem is most of us

live our life in the boat and so what

ends up happening is this is our life in

faith it’s the life that rescued us from

the shore we’re saved we were swimming

in sin now we have gotten in the boat of

Jesus Christ now what happens when God

says where your act is no longer

suitable for where I want to take you

[Applause]

what happens when the confines of what

has kept you safe so far God says come

out of it y’all know y’all love oceans

he called me out beyond my borders like

like he called me out beyond where and

there’s only so much I can do inside of

this boat when I’m out on water but

God’s saying that you want me to come

into the boat and I want you to come out

of the this is what your face looks like

God meet me where I met that if you

would just come change the job situation

in here God if you would just bring my

husband and set them in the boat Lord

just let my wife fly by on a jetski I’ll

let her in my boat and God says sir

you’re about to have to come up off the

boat and come into deeper waters and

this is where we find Peter it says

Matthew chapter 14 verse 28 lord if it’s

you tell me to come tell me to come to

you on the water

and Jesus replies come then Peter got

down out of the boat walked on the water

and came towards Jesus now there’s so

many things about this that I want to

preach but I just want to draw about

four or five little points that will

help you if you’ve been called to live

outside of the borders of your of what’s

been done the borders and some of y’all

just like wrote passing like why would

we do that

I mean the boat seems like very logical

the boat seems like what it’s happening

now I want to help you because a lot of

people won’t ever even get into the boat

because they have a problem they can’t

swim and most people won’t get out in

our areas that they couldn’t save

themselves because they they’re they’re

not sure what would happen in case of

emergency and there’s a lot of black

people in here who can’t swim and I want

to call you out right now and

transformation church is starting a

ghost swim fund that’s gonna happen next

summer and we’re gonna rebuke that demon

of being on the seashore in the name of

Jesus white people are like what

will tell you only things you learn that

transformation church so what I’m saying

is but people who can’t swim won’t even

get in the boat people who don’t know

how they’re gonna save themselves won’t

try to start the business people who

don’t know how the relationship is gonna

in and don’t have two or three backup

plans name Becky Elisha and Rachel

they won’t even get in the boat of

relationship arm in your business you

won’t even get in the boat of

relationship without having a safety

plan for yourself and God saying to

everybody in this place he says I’m not

just calling you to get in the boat I’m

calling you into the deep like I’m not

saying to let’s take this and let’s just

swim around the kitty in this did not

happen in a small body of water this was

not in a pond this was in expansive

amounts of water because God is saying

to all of us if you want to live your

Christianity inside of the boat just

have faith for salvation but I’m going

to ask you to not just stay and do what

you’ve seen done but I’m going to come

to you I feel the presence of God in

this place I’m gonna come to you

specifically and I’m going to ask you

get out of the boat and this takes wavey

faith to be able to look at a situation

and say um

you want me to write down that

transformation Church will be the spirit

Bank of Vincent you want me to tell

somebody that the spirit bank event

center will be transformation in church

that don’t look solid that doesn’t that

doesn’t that doesn’t feel like it would

hold me up but when you have wavy faith

write down my first point you have to

believe wavy faith believes I am the

exception oh I’m about to preach this

point see when when God’s calling you

deeper and you’ve never seen it done

before that means God wants to do it for

the first time through you and most

people don’t believe that because you

are limited by what you’ve seen in

others so if it didn’t happen for them

then it can’t happen for me but as I

read through the Bible over and over and

over and over

I’d have to conclude that we serve a God

of exceptions like like literally over

and over in the Bible God doesn’t do

certain things for a hundred people for

twenty people ten people even three

people but there are times in the Bible

that God does something so supernatural

so wavy so beyond anything anybody could

imagine that they were the exception to

the rule what Peter is about to do is

break two laws of the universe

he’s literally about to break the law of

gravity and the law of buoyancy the law

of gravity says that as soon as he steps

off that boat he should fall into the

water and buoyancy says that he weighs

too much for the water to hold him up

and so he should stay in the boat

because it was designed to hold people

up but if he walked out there he would

automatically sink and peter is the

exception

I need somebody to say in faith I am the

exception you don’t even believe it say

it one more time let me let me help you

understand what the this paradigm of

exception means write this down what

happens with them does not dictate and

determine what happens with me some of

y’all need to write that down tattoo it

on your forehead what happens to them

does not dictate and determine what

happens with me

that means previous patterns are not an

accurate indicator for future

possibilities in my life

like all these patterns that you seen

other people do that doesn’t mean it

gotta happen to me that doesn’t mean

that that’s the mature form I think and

some of y’all like what pass the mic

isn’t that prideful the thing you got to

realize is this is not a declaration of

superiority I’m not better than you but

it’s a declaration of distinction I’m

not better than you but I am different

than you there is no way as a believer I

should go through the same trial and

come out with the same anger the same

loss the same paint y’all don’t hear me

y’all want to be normal

but I’m telling you God says if you

would ever tap into wavy faith this

thing that says I’ve called you to be

different I may go through the same

situation but I’m coming out different

because I am the exception somebody just

say it one more time

I am i’ma say it until you believe it

because some of you are sitting here

right now and be like why me why would

God do that for me why would this happen

for me why not you why wouldn’t God do

it for you if only one person can have

it why doesn’t he do it for you I’m

gonna have to work too hard in the 11

o’clock

do y’all know that out of all the

adjectives that God uses to describe his

children normal is not one of them I

mean he goes do great limbs to talked

about we’re chosen we’re we’re royalty

that we’re we’re Kings like all of this

language and he never says average

normal and you’re so excited about

living a normal life it’s the weekend

what I work in purpose so every day that

I do what I do I’m working up and

walking in the faith that God’s II don’t

want to live normal lives you just want

to have a vacation in a 401k plan God

says get out of dumped out but we’re so

comfortable in the boat and what will

people say if we get out the boat

they’ll probably say you’re crazy but

ain’t this series called were crazy said

okay okay I was just making sure cuz we

don’t talk about anybody who’s average

the stories that we’re tellin weren’t

there was a guy one day that was walking

down the beach and looking at all the

miracles happening there was a woman

that was bleeding but she didn’t want to

get out of her house that day so she

didn’t touch the hem of the garment we

don’t ever talk about people who stay

safe in the boat we talk about people

who believe you know what you don’t have

to but if you’re gonna go up with

somebody

you don’t gotta heal everybody’s family

but it’s become oh come up you don’t

have to pay off everybody’s food alone

but he don’t have to heal everybody but

if you don’t do it

can I get about 500 exceptions to give

God a shout of praise they pushing me

Charles that’s how I felt coming to be

this pastor of this church I had no

qualifications to stand here before

anybody when we had when we had one

service not even full I had to believe

on wavy faith that I was the exception

without seminary without a team who was

experienced without a financial

background I said God you may not be

able to do this for anybody else but my

faith believes that I am the accept

somebody’s got to believe that at a

whole nother level

there’s always an exception why not you

why not me why not this church why can’t

we live on crazy faith that’s out here

in the waves where there’s nothing to

hold on to to save us except God you

called me out here i’ma stand out here

you called me out here i’ma make it out

here you taught me to be the pastor of

this church and you gonna give us a

twenty million dollar project and

another you call me out here this is why

you have to be very careful that you

don’t call yourself nowhere please

please don’t say it was God and it

wasn’t because he only pays bills where

he ordered deer to say what time the

steps of a good man are so when he

orders it he pays for it if he annoys

y’all and y’all get that tomorrow when

you walk in wavy faith somebody just say

it again I am the exception I have to

believe this because Daniel then you

went into a lion’s den and came out the

next day not eating people usually don’t

do that so in Daniels case God made an

exception people don’t go in Fiery

Furnaces with their homeboys and come

out not smelling like what they’ve been

through but with the three Hebrew boys

God made an exception women in their

90’s

they don’t have babies but Sarah she had

a baby and God made an exception to let

everybody know that even when you think

the season is over God can make you give

birth to something that nobody else even

thinks is possible yeah red seas don’t

part themselves but when Moses put a

stick up and said this is what God has

called me to do those seats parted and

God made an exception walls don’t fall

down by themselves we

walk around and shuck but with Joshua

God made an exception teenagers don’t

pick up rocks and go to face Giants but

in David’s case God made an exception a

church doesn’t led by a black pastor

does not build a multi-ethnic Church in

the Northside of Tulsa but with

transformation Church God may end it

y’all better you can sit here and live

your life in the boat or you can believe

that when I step out and wave II think

God can make me the exception dead men

don’t go in a tomb for three days and

pop back out on the third daylight and

let God made he made an exception and

somebody needs to believe I am the

exception give God praise right there

yo I got a new attitude God don’t have

to do it for you as long as he does it

for me right and some people are sitting

there like wow that’s awesome Pastor

Mike but if you were honest if we got

down in a counseling session one-on-one

you can’t change your wife and your

marriage is on the brink of divorce and

all your family members say give up you

have a time to start over and you can do

another one if you’re young enough but

you know what God said about Charles

marriage and you can sit in this service

and gather up the wavey faith because

you know there’s gonna be turbulence you

know there’s gonna be highs and lows you

understand the reason why they’re called

waves is because it’s not steel it’s

something that can go up and down and

we’re gonna have to go through this

journey but I’m declaring to you today

that if every other marriage fails if

every other thing split up the kids god

with your faith he can make an exception

if you’re an exception just give God one

more somebody’s face is getting this

thing now

it’s not too late but God can never make

an exception for somebody who stays on

the boat you be like I’m the exception

then he tells you to go tell somebody no

no I like the boat though God this is

safe he says start making the movie well

I don’t have funding you have your

iphone I am well god it doesn’t look

like what everybody else has he said I

told you to start making the movie but I

won’t want to start until you show me

some other things and guys say get out

the boat look at your neighbour just two

of them tell them get out the boat get

out the boat yeah okay let me go to my

next point the one thing that we realize

in Matthew chapter 14 verse 22 see we

started this whole thing in verse 28 but

we need to get context of what just

happened in verse 22 Jesus performed the

miracle of the two fish and the five

loaves he multiplied and fed 5,000

people with the Long John Silver’s snack

pack and everybody’s tripping right now

like dang Jesus is the man like maybe we

should just follow him and and what the

Bible says is that he gives the

disciples some instructions look at

verse 22 it says immediately Jesus made

the disciples get into the boat and go

on ahead of him to the other side while

he dismissed the crowd now this is

something that really messes with my

mind because in in faith sometimes we we

like it to be all good or all the devil

and we never live in a tension of like

what happens in situations like this

because what you don’t know is that

these disciples are about to run into a

storm but jesus put them in the boat and

made them go to the other side so what

I’m trying to tell you is my point is

wavy faith believes I was exported or I

was sinned see anytime I buy a lot of

clothes overseas and what they do is

they say hey we have to export your

purchase or your product

America because they have to send it

from wherever they are to the next place

and when I want to read this it’s Jesus

who is the one that’s saying hey

he says immediately Jesus made so Peter

problems like Jesus I just want to stay

with you wrong I’m gonna hold your Bible

I wanna I wonder what word your sandals

walk and Jesus said no I have I have

something that I need you to do get in

the boat and many times we talk about

faith and we talk about drowning and we

talk about getting in storms from the

perspective of us messing up and now

we’re in a storm like I made the wrong

decision and now I’m in a storm or III

hooked up with the wrong person and now

this is a storm all right I got with the

wrong business partner and now I’m in a

storm but what happens when you obeyed

what God said and you’re still in a

storm see this is the tension nobody

wants to talk about because I obeyed you

God and I got in the boat and I did what

you said and now why are the winds in

the ways it’s because maybe the scene of

what you think is your greatest storm is

also the setting for your greatest

miracle I need you to hear me say this a

few moments after the storm is going to

be where Peter walks on water he had to

get Peter out there somehow so what if

this storm was scheduled to get Peter in

a specific location to be able to have

the opportunity to work one of the

greatest miracles that would ever be

talked about in history what if your job

was the storm God since you to to get

you just frustrated enough that you

would come back to him and ask him for a

vision again that would be the place

where your business or that idea or

y’all don’t hear me it’s birthed out of

and the place of your greatest storm

will also be the place of your greatest

miracle so when you’re walking on wavy

faith it’s saying if I’m out here in

this wave God’s got to use this if I’m

in the middle of a storm if I’m in the

middle of this dysfunction somehow I

think my Bible says all things all of

these things is about to work together

for the good of me cuz I’m the exception

like I don’t know about everybody else

and they may not have the faith to

believe and yes I lost my house and yes

I lost some friends and yes I lost it I

lost it I lost but somehow God’s going

to use all of this to position me in a

place where my faith can turn into a

miracle and this is what Peter had to

believe and so I need you to realize

that maybe this no I couldn’t encourage

somebody maybe the storm you’re in you

need to step back and evaluate the God

sendest and I know this messes with

people because this is the tension of

believing God but maybe I wouldn’t have

moved if the situation hadn’t gotten

this bad maybe I wouldn’t have broke up

with them if I didn’t pull up the

account and I saw videos like I wanted

to trust what they said but I had to go

to this storm because it was the only

thing that could reposition me to the

place

maybe the deal had to fall through so I

could pay attention to my child who

needed me in this season if you don’t

believe that God’s working all these

things together you won’t think that he

sent you you think it was the enemy

there’s no devil the devil didn’t send

them to the storm it was Jesus who’s the

Alpha and the Omega the beginning and

the so he knew what was going to happen

in your meadow

so what if the storm was scheduled so

they find themselves in a storm but I

want to show you this point because we

need to parallel what we do in the

natural and then what Jesus does in the

spiritual because I want you to write

this point down wavy faith prepares with

expectation now this is something that

you get when you look deeper into

Scripture and really meditate on the

word that’s why the Bible says don’t

just read it but like meditate on it day

and night

and so I saw this and it just blessed my

spirit like there is a a paradox going

on at the exact same time of two humans

there’s Peter and there’s Jesus and all

of us cuz we know the end of the story

that Jesus got up and he rose with all

power from the grave like that ain’t

happened he’s all human and all God so

he goes through human experiences the

same way that we would so him walking on

water was just up as a miracle as Peter

walking on water this wasn’t like oz

Jesus so he could walk on water no no no

he was a man he in his natural state

would be able to fall and and and drown

the same way anybody else would so watch

what happens Jesus sends the disciples

to the other side and look what the

Bible says in in Matthew 14 23 it says

after he had dismissed him he went up to

a mountainside by him self to do what

not decompress he didn’t go up there to

just have some wool time some who saw

time or some me time

I need a refreshing moment what did he

be what did he go and do when he was

alone pray he went to do spiritually

what he needed to do to stand in the

natural on something people said could

not happen it says he went by himself to

pray and he wanted everybody to know

that he was alone because it goes on to

say later that night he was there alone

this was not a committee group prayer

meeting this was not all me and my

pastor and my it said that he had to get

by himself and pray why because Jesus

was spiritually preparing to stand on

what others drown in see most of us are

trying to work our way to a spot that

once we get there we won’t be able to

stand there we won’t have the character

we won’t have the fortitude we won’t

have the know-how because we did not

prepare spiritually and so what many

people are doing is they’re rowing their

way to the same place that God’s gonna

walk to disciples all right Jesus we

love you God did you work out John on my

side hurry and the Bible tells us that

they roll all night and at dawn Jesus

comes walking on the water to where they

were

now hold on the disciples had a head

start they had 12 people oh my god I

better lose some weight from this like

and they’re rowing but because Jesus

went to pray and prepare himself

spiritually he walked to where were

others rode to how does that apply to me

pastor might some of you are so

frustrated because you think you’ve

missed your season because God’s had you

in a season of consecration and prayer

and fasting and all these other things

and why everybody’s expending a energy

in relationships

out here rolling I’m out here with my

booth there’ll be another one next month

out here rowing missing pieces of

yourself out here trying to network God

says if you would spend time in the

presence he said I can open up one door

that allow you to be at the same place

as people who’ve been rowing free y’all

don’t hear me he said I can open up one

door and what happens is we find out

that when Peter steps off the boat he

has a moment of doubt and he starts

sinking why because what happened was

his Peter saw Jesus do something

publicly but he didn’t prepare the same

way privately so Peter was ready for the

front side of the blessing to walk on

water but he wasn’t prepared for the

backside of the blessing which was a

moment of doubt and many of you are like

God why don’t you put me in I can preach

better than Pastor Mike I can sing

better than destiny I can administrate

better than breathe

he says cuz you’re ready for the front

side of the blessing but the backside of

the blessing will kick yo butt and this

is what I came to tell some people in

this room if that’s why you go to prayer

and God works in you and out of you

things that nobody else can see that’s

why some of y’all have spreadsheets and

plans for days and at the moment God put

you in the room you fold because you did

not prepare in the season alone to be

able to do in front of everybody what

God’s asking you to do you see how long

them claps are we need a pray in church

we need a church that will cut Netflix

off we need a church that doesn’t care

about everything that comes out

brand-new and we’ll spend time with God

but most people don’t care cuz you’re

gonna be on the boat the rest of your

life

rowing rowing your way to what you think

God’s plan is for you and what you don’t

know is you’re going in circles

you’re rowing on one side and it just

got you going in circles how did how did

in 19 look the same as 29 is the same as

39 as the same is 49 as the same as 50

how did it keep doing it’s because you

never took a moment to say maybe I need

to go away and pray please don’t get it

twisted the secret sauce is this church

is not oratory skills is not worship

it’s prayer before service today my mom

was in the back calling down heaven over

my life you don’t hear what I’m saying

I’m not standing here as a regular dude

reaching to y’all I’m out here walking

on water this message gonna be heard by

hundreds of thousands of people and how

in the world could I as a human speak to

every situation that’s going on but the

Holy Spirit is omniscient that means all

know and he knows everything and when I

pray and I prepare on the backend what

God does is speak to you on the front

end and then I don’t go home and get

attacked the same way cuz we made sure

that we prayed and God is saying if you

go step out in the boat don’t step out

and you didn’t prepare all I’m trying to

help you is get some keys to walking in

wavy face somebody shot at me wavy faith

I just want you to know that God is the

one who restores the years and some of

you this principle shows you that it’s

not too late for you he doesn’t stop

time he restores time so what ends up

happening is what took somebody a very

long time God can literally this year

open one door and you’re at the same

place you walk into it or let me bring

until you get that you’ll be out here

rowing thinking that God has forgotten

you wasting time and what God is saying

is um I want to meet you in a place that

seems unsure but it’s so that you can do

a miracle that nobody has ever done

before you and never nobody is ever

going to do

now what wavy faith write this down

examines before expressing it examines

the situation so the disciples are in a

boat I need some disciples real quick

come up here real quick y’all yeah I’ll

y’all come up here okay here we go come

on sis you already know all right so we

in the boat okay and and we out here and

we we just rollin all night oh god

everybody rock man use your hands

brother come on man we got to get up out

of here we run and then the Bibles to

keep rolling tape roll it and then the

Bible says that they see something in

the distance and it looks like a ghost

and somebody said oh it’s a ghost and

everybody gets scared cuz that’s what we

do when Jesus is coming towards us in a

different way and we weren’t ready and

we weren’t expecting how he was going to

present the promotion we weren’t

expecting how he was going to change it

and so when Jesus comes and we get

scared we go and what happens is I want

you to read the text put it on the

screen for me please it tells us it says

that the disciples were terrified now we

learned last week what’s the difference

between faith it’s not doubt it’s what

fear yeah because the disciples were

afraid what they did was they started

labeling something that was for their

good as something bad look what they

said it’s a ghost now the reason I say

carefully examined before you start

expressing is because if you don’t give

situations in your life enough time to

unfold you label something in a storm

one thing when it’s actually something

else may I submit to you that God in a

storm doesn’t always look like God and

what they would call a ghost in one

season a few minutes later they would

call God

what some of y’all are saying is my

friends have betrayed me in just a few

years you gonna say that was God and and

and through it all y’all don’t hear me

the relationship that just broke off and

right now it’s a bad breakup but in a

few years you gonna say that was God

that was the best thing that never

happened to me the business not getting

started

that’s not bad that was examined clearly

before you start putting your mouth on

it and labeling it because you’ll have

to real able it some of the things you

think are bad right now you can’t fully

see the whole thing because you’re in a

storm but what God is saying is what

what you think is a ghost

really might be God so so so what do you

say in Pastor Mike okay when God shows

up in your storm and he’s he’s looking

not like him to the point where maybe

that’s a ghost you need to realize this

simple truth it may be too early to tell

yeah yeah yeah when you’re out here on

wavy faith we’re not when I told

everybody was gonna buy the spirit bank

event center and it was my pastor you

won’t go start looking at K Mart’s cuz

it’s not ain’t nothing happening maybe

you missed God it’s too early to tell

see some of y’all want to answer right

pressure from other people for what

needs to happen and God say hold them

off hold them off it’s too early to tell

what you think is a failed business

proposition is not a setback it’s a set

up for the biggest story that I’m about

to write in your life and some of y’all

need to just tell your neighbor it’s too

early to tell it just tell one more

person it’s too early to tell so these

disciples sitting here in the boat

scared fearful and then somebody sees

maybe that Oh No

well do you see that you don’t see it do

you see it though kinda you don’t see it

now go we’ve been three years y’all

three years we’ve been walking with

Jesus talking to Jesus having all our

meals with Jesus could that be he look a

little different right now in the storm

I mean he looked a little wild wood used

to skinny I think he looked a little

wider now watch I need everybody to see

this how come they didn’t recognize the

person they had been with every day for

the past three years at some point Peter

said I don’t know but maybe I’m not sure

yeah but maybe that’s Jesus and so he

stood up he’s like hold on y’all just

stay right here

Lord if it’s you but isn’t that what

maybe faith says if this job is you if

this relationship is you if this move is

you if writing this book is you if it’s

you tell me to come now white out of

everybody did Peter get up at this

moment because Peters a fisherman and

Peter is used to the water he’s used to

being on boats but at the moment I

believe that he realized it was Jesus

he saw his leader the person that he’s

seen do miracle after miracle after

miracle automatically he wanted to be

where his Savior was

so at the moment that he was exposed to

a life outside of the boat he said I got

to get up out the book why would he ask

I mean if it was me and we were the

disciples I would have said we saw Jesus

coming to us I said yo it’s a ghost we

would have turned that mug around yo

your hands full we would have straight

turn the other direction like many of us

do when God starts approaching us in a

different way we turn around and we say

it must be the devil it’s a ghost and we

start going the wrong direction but what

did Peter do Peter got exposed he got

exposed to his leader living in wavy

faith oh don’t miss this wavy faith

can’t ignore ignore exposure the reason

that many of you are like why am I just

coming to transformation church right

now like why did God realign and bring

me all this other stuff it’s because you

have a leader who no longer lives inside

of the boat and I’m not saying this to

pump myself up or anything but you came

to this church and God painted a picture

of a crazy faith miracle so you could

see your leader out here on water and at

the moment that somebody who’s following

sees their leader out on the water the

boat automatically becomes a frustration

the reason why many of you are

frustrated in what you’re doing right

now

frustrated and how life is going is cuz

you’ve seen hold on if God can do it for

regular old a felony heaven I’m just a

pornography addicted start it as the

sound man at the church if he could do

it for Pastor Mike maybe maybe he wants

me to walk in water in my family

welcome water in my purpose walked on

what y’all don’t hear me

in this place you’re not here on the

accident God puts you in the middle of a

miracle to say from a little deeper get

out the boat let’s come a little further

Peter could have stayed on the boat and

be like Jesus come get in this boat how

does Jesus y’all guy say me scoot over

man we got room for Jesus in here and

that’s what we want him to do fit into

our plans Jesus come fit into our our

structure that we’ve made that’s why I

stopped the service and I prayed for

Michael because we had a boat of this

service we had a structure of the

service but God brought somebody here

from Guam who said I’m desperate and so

we interrupted the regularly scheduled

boat ride and we stepped out of the boat

and what God is asking is you will you

step out of the boat that’s why some of

you are watching online and that’s why

you’re in the one o’clock in the five

o’clock service that’s why you’re here

it’s because God wants you exposed to

faith exposed to miracles because the

right exposure exposure will ruin your

excuses the right exposure will ruin

your excuses you can’t see somebody with

with no qualifications walk into what

God has allowed us to walk into and then

say well God you can’t do it for me how

do I

he’s looking for somebody have the faith

to be the exception so look at it

Matthew chapter 14 verse 28 I said all

of that to just say this point right

here say Lord if it’s you may be faith

tell me to come to you on the water tell

me – to start believing you beyond my

borders give me a vision that’s bigger

than me so I can believe for it call me

to serve these people who can’t pay me

they’re just a resource but you’re the

source so if you called me I’ll step

outside this vote and he said if it’s

you tell me to come look at Jesus’s

response come then Peter got down out of

the boat and walked on the water and

came toward Jesus I’m gonna play it

Peter so he said if it’s you tell me to

come Jesus says come so Peter gets up he

steps out of the boat and he walks on

water

get back in there cuz they didn’t see

that he said he said if fish you tell me

to come so Peter but Jesus says come

Peter gets up out of the boat and he

steps out of the boat and he walks on

remedial people in the room okay

he says if it’s you tell me – what

and Peter gets out of the boat steps out

of the boat and walks on water okay

Jesus did not say come Peter

he said come there were 12 people on the

boat when he’s y’all don’t hear me they

all saw the same thing they all saw

Jesus walking and Peter said if fish you

tell me to pump he didn’t say come Peter

he didn’t make it exclusive he just said

come and Peter was the only one with the

faith enough to say I don’t know what

y’all go through but I’m the exception

I don’t know what they told you but I’d

be exception

and when Jesus said come 1 out of 12 got

out of the boat custom ight what are you

trying to say all this stuff that I’m

talking about crazy faith and baby faith

there may be faith in wavy faith it’s

not exclusive if he would have said

Peter come then we would have known that

the miracle was just for Peter

put it up there they don’t believe me

look at it again just look at the

scripture and and Peter said Lord if

it’s you tell me to come onto the water

and jesus replied what do you say huh

and the problem with most of us has come

is not enough instruction we see Jesus

in the water he you know it’s him now

and he’s saying come and you you want to

be safe in the boat but this word Peter

James and John is this world my friends

are this is where every other pastor

lives this is where every other Church

does they just believe for

multi-location though we were believing

for an arena why because because God

told us to get out of the boat and my

question to you is will you go on a cup

the saddest part about this story is

that only two people walked on water

only two people had wavy faith Jesus and

Peter when that day thirteen people

could have been walking on water my

question is will you sit in your

Christian life on the boat and God says

come and you choose to stay in the safe

faith because y’all know that Peter is

not delineating himself from the world

cuz most of us think oh I ain’t gonna be

like the world I’m gonna get out of the

boat and I’m gonna walk for Jesus no no

everybody on the boat was a Christian

everybody on the boat was a disciple and

Peter was the only one out of people who

believed in Jesus saw miracles walked

with him he’s the only one that had the

faith to walk on water

today I’m here to declare to you that if

you want to say faith and you want to

live in the boat you might need to find

another church because transformation

church has heard come and I believe that

there are thousand people in this room

and watching online who believe that

that’s all we need it’s God’s you say

hello and we go get off the boat if you

believe it in this world will you give

God a shout of praise

standing all over this building but some

of y’all are like – what if he drowns

but what if no no no no y’all come get

back in the boat didn’t nobody tell you

to leave disciple kidding about I want

you to see this because most of us stand

here and we stand debating we stand in

fear well what if I and I drown the

thing is that Peter when he stopped

stepped out he was the exception and we

don’t know how many steps he took but he

had steps I bet he were looking back way

and then some more winds and waves came

and he took his eyes off of Jesus and

isn’t that how it happens when God

blesses you with the promotion and now

you’re so worried about meetings that

you take your eyes off of that you’re so

glad now that you’re in a relationship

that the relationship who prepares you

for the relationship which was with him

you have no more time with whoa and

everybody now gets thrown off of course

because they took their eyes off of

but the crazy thing about wavy faith is

that in perspective of who can save you

like when you stay safe in the boat all

your faith is in the boat so if the boat

turns over because of the storm you’re

not looking to God you’re looking to the

boat because that’s where your faith was

so you start drowning and you looking

for the boat what if the boat breaks

what if what if it what if he can’t save

you the thing that Peter had that nobody

else had is he had closer proximity to

the one who could save him so even if he

sank because he had faith to take some

steps he was closer to Jesus saving him

did everybody who was still in the boat

listen to me what do you have to lose to

step out and walk or what God has called

others to drown in what does it take for

you to step out and believe that my son

is gonna be the exception to what the

doctors say what does it have step out

here what I’m telling you he starts to

sink in the grace field Jesus looks at

him and says AHA Peter come here boy you

still don’t have enough faith and

doesn’t condemn him doesn’t scold him

doesn’t say because you psyche now you

will live this out if we don’t talk

about him drowning as much as we talk

about him walking on water why because

it was the thing that nobody thought

could be done

there are people drowning who ain’t

never done that the miraculous there are

people drowning and depression who ain’t

never done anything that and God saying

why don’t you why don’t you step out

everybody say step out

Peter steps out I have one question how

many people drowned that day nobody

drowning but only one person other than

Jesus what the what could it be that

only come if all of the disciples got

out the boat that it still would have

been the same outcome that that day none

of them would have drowned could it be

that God brought you to this place and

all he’s saying today

is step out and wavy faith well if it’s

you Lord tell me to come here is your

prophetic word for the day come come

come hands lift it up all over this

building thought I’m thanking you for

that every person under the sound of my

voice who’s watching this online who’s

in the one o’clock who’s in the five

o’clock whatever area of our life that

you’re telling us to come come deeper I

think you that we’ll listen to you

whatever you’re telling us to stay in I

think you that we will obey you to stay

there whatever you’re telling us to

leave I think you that will do what you

say father today

your faith for us to walk on water is

not exclusive and I’m believing that

somebody would believe in this place

that they are the exception God if you

didn’t do it for anybody else I thank

you that you’re doing it for us father

god I think you’re doing it for this

church we will live our way be faith we

will not stay in safety but we are gonna

get out of the boat and we are going to

come father God thank you that your

grace is there to catch us if and when

we fall and today father we don’t put

our faith in the boat not another day

but we put our faith in the Savior

change us from the inside out make us

have faith to believe you and we will

give you glory and we will give you

honor

give you play if I got a thousand people

with baby faith

will you give God a shout of praise in

this place

and I’ll get you out on the other side

will you come let me be your captain

it’s the thing that took me from being

addicted to pornography a liar or

manipulator not to a perfect man but a

progressing man and I’m telling you

today Jesus wants you to give him the

ability to be the captain of your ship

would you just bow your head and close

your eyes if you’re in this room and you

want to make that decision on the count

of three I want you to lift your hands

because we’re about to pray a prayer of

salvation there’s hands already going up

one today is the day of salvation two

you’re making the greatest decision of

your life three lift your hands all over

this place I see you I see you I see you

I see you and the other services I see

you alive God sees you put your hands

down right now I’m gonna pray for you

and that transformation Church we’re a

family so nobody prays alone let’s pray

this together say God thank you for

being the captain of my life today I

surrender my life to you I believe you

lived you die and you rose again with

all power just for me today come in and

change my life

renew me transform me I’m yours
