watching i believe that this is a word
that is purposed
to protect the promise of god over your
life
manifesting this is a word to protect
you from
self-sabotage you know this word the way
the lord gave it to me it
it came in a manner that i really had to
like sit with it
because i also saw myself in it i love
moments like that
where you’re not just teaching something
but you’re also participating in it
and that’s the beauty of relationship
with god because it’s not just about
what god wants to do through
you but it’s what he’s doing in you as
well
and so let’s get into the word family
we’re going to read
john 1 1 that’s the first scripture
we’re going to go through a couple and
the scripture
says in the beginning was the word
and the word was with god and the word
was god i love that so much
you see it’s so interesting i mean first
of all it’s no surprise about the times
that we’re in
right we are in very unfamiliar and
unique
times and there is this question that
keeps coming up amongst i know it’s
coming up amongst my personal
conversations with friends and strangers
i mean uber drivers people at the
grocery store people just look in the
chat
and that question is what is god
saying on the global on a global level
on a personal level
maybe that’s a question that you’ve been
asking as well
god what are you saying in these times
what are you saying to the nations what
are you saying
in my life what are you saying
concerning my calling what are you
saying concerning this business this
ministry this organization my marriage
my relationship god what are you
saying because we normally have this
idea you see when we
are going through change and transitions
we we are in this vulnerable place where
we believe like okay there must be
something
new that god must be saying to me
there must be something different that
god is telling me to do in this times
and the very notion of this question of
what is god
saying it gives the idea that there is
something there is an area of concern
and it seems as though god is silent and
i find that ironic to be honest
because he is the word how can the word
be silent
how is it that god you are the word and
you don’t have anything to say
now there are situations where you know
we may not perceive what he is saying
but there are moments where
it literally feels like god is silent
and i’m like god but you are the word
the word always has something to say
and then the lord began to show me and
teach me
that even his silence has a voice
you see the silence of god is
directional
the silence of god is to direct you to
what he already said
you see a lot of times we’re just in
this season of like god yes what are you
saying but i’m here to ask you what did
god say what has god already said to you
what are the words that he gave you in
the past because you see the funny thing
in life is that
we think that the seasons of our life
change as the seasons on the earth
changes
that when something new springs up then
god must be saying something new to me
but your season is connected to words
your season is connected to revelation
so although the world may be shifting
but you may still be in the season of
what god said to you a few years ago
and the lord began to show me that we
are that despite all the chaos and all
the things happening in life right now
we are in that season of the harvest
we are in a season for you to receive
the promise of his word
and if you abandon it because you’re
just like god maybe you want me to do
something else
if you abandon it that you could
sabotage the manifestation of the
promise
you see god was never ignorant when he
spoke to you
god is all knowledge he speaks from a
place of perfect knowledge
he is not like us you know our interests
change over time based on exposure
and all of that i remember when i wanted
to have a music management company
then i wanted to have a photography
management company then i wanted to be a
lawyer i want to do all kinds of things
you know one time i really thought that
i could have a shot in
being a musician you don’t want to hear
me play
but you see our interests change
because in those moments i wasn’t aware
of what it is that god knew about me
and so i can speak from a place of
limited knowledge and limited exposure
but when god speaks he speaks from a
place of perfect knowledge
god is aware of everything he knows the
end from the beginning
so when he’s talking to you about what
he’s called you to do
he already he saw everything that could
work against you that could seem like
it’s working against you
and he still said you are the one he
still said you are the one i’ve assigned
for this
you are the one i’ve appointed for this
this is the instruction i’ve given you
and there is going to be a harvest where
i send you
but if we have this feeling of god maybe
you’ve changed your mind because don’t
you see the news
god don’t you see what’s happening in my
life don’t you see all the obstacles and
challenges coming against me
and god is looking and he says i’m not
limited by what limits you
i’m not bound by what seems to bind you
the word of god introduces to us the
place of need for god just like pastor
sarah talked about
because nothing that he says can be done
without him
so god is aware that yes there’s going
to be what seems like limitations for
you but when you partner with
me there is nothing that can stop you
you see there’s a scripture i want to
read to you
and it’s in genesis 16 16 and from
into genesis 17 1.
and this is about a man named abraham
and i’m going to read a short part of
this and i’ll talk about him
now it says abraham was 86 years old
when hagga
bore ishmael to abraham when abram was
99 years old the lord appeared to abram
and said to him
i am almighty god walk before me
and be blameless abraham have some walk
before me with
integrity you see the story about
abraham is one of my favorite stories in
the bible
you know there are stories that you just
read and you just feel this draw to you
feel this connection to
the story of abraham is so unique and
fascinating to me because
we we see prior to this scripture there
is this rhythm of communication that god
has with abraham
abraham is introduced to us when you
know the lord meets him and he’s just
like hey abraham pack up shop
leave your family leave your hometown
leave everything you know
and come go to a place that i will show
you and this already tells you abraham
just responded he packs up you know he’s
ready to go
and this already tells you that there
was a relationship there was an
intimacy that they had for abraham to
just move
immediately as god speaks abraham leaves
he’s trusting the lord to be his guide
and then abraham finds himself in the
place and the lord shows up again he’s
like abraham
this is the place that i’m going to give
you the lord shows up to him again you
if you have never read the story of
abraham you should it’s in genesis and
then
while you’re at it you can just find
yourself all the way through revelation
but the lord shows up to him again and
he’s like abraham i am your exceedingly
great reward
and abraham is just like you know what
god that sounds all great and stuff
but lord i am without a child
and the lord is telling him abraham look
i got you on this you want a child i got
you there’s a purpose to the child
connected to your lineage
and he assures abraham that you will
have a son
you will have an heir and the funny
thing is that when god speaks god is so
aware of what’s happening because
abraham was married to a wife named
sarah and sarah at the time was barren
and god is aware of all the limitations
he’s aware of all the physical
limitations
but the voice of god it should match his
his
character you see when god gives you a
promise
if you have to compromise your integrity
if you have to compromise your character
to get to the manifestation of it
that did not come from the lord because
what comes from
god it reveals his character
so when god speaks to abraham he’s aware
of everything and he does not need
abraham to compromise himself
in order to fulfill what god has said
so there is this rhythm there is this
flow all through the story
you see god having conversation with
abraham
and then all of a sudden sarah is just
like you know what
i know this is what god said to you but
i don’t think i’m the one
why don’t you sleep with my maid
abraham sees what sarah says he thought
that was wisdom
he’s like you know what maybe that makes
sense but that was compromise
he sleeps with the maid you know she
gets pregnant and then she gives birth
to ishmael
now the moment he she gave birth to
ishmael
god goes silent in this scripture we
read how
you know it tells us that when abraham
was 86 years old
that’s when the lady had had ishmael and
it was not until he was 99 years old
that god comes back to the scene
for 13 years god says nothing
because his silence was directional his
silence had a voice
it was that abraham turn your heart back
to what i already said
i’m not saying anything new i’m not
going to tell you that ishmael is the
promise because that was never what i
said this is compromise
you have compromised your integrity to
manifest what you think is my will
and that is not my will for you 13 years
i can imagine
what it must have felt like you see for
all these years of abraham’s life god is
in the
in the pivotal moments with him now he
has a son
and he’s probably like god are you going
to show up and talk to me about ishmael
are you going to show up and say wow
look at the promised child
13 years god says
nothing you see you don’t want to go
13 years you don’t even want to go 13
months
or 13 days matter of fact an hour
and 30 minutes you don’t want to build
on the foundation of your fear your
insecurities
your doubts your unbelief you don’t want
to build on that foundation because it
cannot sustain you
it cannot carry what god said for 13
years
abraham is building on the foundation of
his doubts
abraham is building on the foundation of
his fear and god
says nothing because it was to point
abraham back to what god said in the
first place
and so 13 years goes by abraham is now
99
and he has this encounter again with the
lord
and this encounter shifts his heart
this encounter brings him back to the
place of
what if i’ve actually got it wrong what
if i’ve been believing a life for 13
years that ishmael perhaps you could be
the promised child and when he
encounters god
his heart shifts his heart shifts to the
fact that you know what lord
i’m gonna believe you at your word his
heart shifts to understand that
as you’re saying the same thing you told
me 13 years ago
that you will have a son and when god
says be blameless before me
it’s an invitation to god’s integrity
i have integrity
and abraham you cannot say you’re going
to manifest what comes from me and you
will compromise yours
and it’s so beautiful because in romans
we see this scripture
in romans 4 19 it tells us about
abraham after this moment
and it says that and not being weak in
faith
he this is abraham did not consider his
own body
already dead since he was about a
hundred years old
so they probably just did a roundup
number you know maybe it was around
abraham’s birthday that the lord showed
up
and the deadness of sarah’s womb
i love this so much because we see that
when he had this encounter again with
the lord
and the lord says the same thing the
only difference is that in that
scripture
later on the lord tells him the timing
of when isaac would be born the timing
of when the promised child connected to
the word of the lord would come
but abraham now shifted his posture
and he’s like god i’m going to believe
you at your word
because for the past 13 years i’ve been
doing what was against your word and i
thought that
maybe i just need to keep waiting for
you to confirm what i did
but the silence of god and you may be
watching this and you feel like there
are areas that you’re just like god what
are you
saying and god’s question to you is what
did i already say
you see there are two key things that
stood out to me in this scripture
first it talks about how abraham not
being weak
in the faith abraham not being weak in
his expectation
not being weak in his belief in god not
being weak
in knowing that god you i can believe
you at your word
abraham not being weak in the faith you
know faith is a word i love so much
but faith is not like this one size fits
all
ordeal you know many times we think that
being a risk taker means that we have
faith
no that just means you’re a gambler and
you have a great time in vegas
but faith in its true essence the bible
tells us that faith
comes by hearing and hearing by the word
of god
so true faith is when you apply yourself
to what god said
without compromising your character
true faith is the word that comes from
god is when you believe
what god said faith is not just a
blanket that you throw over anything
that you feel like you want to take a
risk and just let god bless it
you see god is not our genie ready to
grant us three wishes
god is our lord he is our light to lead
us in the path that we ought to follow
and so when the word when when a word
comes to you from the lord
faith is your response and belief and it
says
abraham was not weak in the faith
but this there’s something so intriguing
i was i was studying this and i was
praying about this word as i was going
to get ready to deliver it to you
and the lord began to highlight even
more the fact that he is our light
that what does that word mean that god
is our light
you see light in the scriptures it it
often points to
wisdom revelation insight
understanding and there is a scripture
about the enemy that i want us to read
and we’re gonna just really have some
fun with this
it’s in second corinthians 11 14
and the word of god says and no wonder
for
even satan disguises himself as an
angel of light the reason that this is
so critical
is because you see when we read this
scripture we’re wondering you know does
that mean that the end the devil will
come to me looking like an
angel of light or does he look like a
light bulb you know with a dress or with
wings no
that if he’s coming as an angel of light
then he’s coming to present
what will look like wisdom what looks
like inside what looks like revelation
he’s coming to present
an ideology to you that you’re like huh
maybe this is actually what i should do
this looks all wrapped up it’s pretty it
has a bow on it and everything
but all of this is to mislead you
because you see
there’s a there’s a scripture in hebrews
that our pastor talks about a lot when
it talks about that
do not lose your confidence for in it
there is a great reward
but confidence comes from the place of
what you know confidence is rooted in
knowledge
you are confident about what you what
you’ve come to know about god
you are confident when you have
understanding about god’s word to you
and so when the enemy wants to attack
you what he attacks is your revelation
he attacks the word that god has given
you did god really say he said to eve
and he’s saying the same thing till
today just in different ways
you see there was an encounter that
jesus had with one of his disciples
named peter
there was a moment that peter thought he
was putting jesus on game
he thought he was dropping gems to the
lord and jesus looked at peter and he
said to him
get behind me satan but satan
was not there i mean in the flesh you
know
it’s like it was jesus it was peter
jesus looks at peter and he says
get behind me satan where was satan in
the picture
but you see he said something in that
scripture that is so insightful
he said peter your mind is not set on
the things of god
your mind is set on the things of people
of men
and this is where the enemy finds a
loophole
because when your mind is kingdom
focused you’re not moving from a place
of your insecurity or your fear
because jesus is talking to the
disciples and he’s like you know what i
am going to go to the cross
peter rebukes him because peter is
coming from a place of fear what do you
mean you’re going to the cross
we left everything to follow you what do
you mean you’re going to leave us peter
was not moving in the revelation of the
purpose of the messiah
and so when fear showed up the enemy
said i have a loophole
peter thought he was speaking in wisdom
when he rebuked the lord
that no you would do no such thing but
jesus
was so in tune with his purpose
jesus was so in tune with what god said
concerning his life
that he could recognize that the words
of peter
were the what was the wisdom of the
enemy
it was the false light the false
revelation
the false insight so he could look at
peter and said get behind me satan and
i’m sure that other disciples were like
um when did lucifer show up to the party
but jesus recognized that no this is a
thought pattern
that this is a thought that was
implanted and that thought only has
roots when you’re focused on things of
the world
you see sarah was always also just
having a conversation with abraham
she was just having a chat she’s like
look she’s like bae
obviously it doesn’t look like i’m
getting pregnant so why don’t you just
you know meet my maid it looked like a
regular conversation it looked like
wisdom it looked like you know what
sarah
you’re right you know because you know
we’re not getting younger
so maybe let me give that a shot but
that was not a wisdom from the lord
that was the false light that that satan
appears
as an angel of light to mislead and
deceive
why am i saying this because you have to
be so in tune
with what god said to you because it is
through conversations that you lose your
way through conversations that sound
like wisdom
that in your vulnerability you’re
telling you’re talking to people and
you’re just like yeah i’m not sure
what to do in this season and people
that are so earthly focused
they will speak to you from a place of
what is the best move for you
based on the the conditions of your life
but god never speaks to you based on the
place of circumstances
god doesn’t speak to you and say you
know what i see you have a speech
problem so you’re not the one read about
a man named moses
he thought he had a speech problem god
said i’ve called you to speak for me
god is not bound by what binds us
he says that’s the whole point i’m
supposed to be your strength in weakness
and so in your vulnerability you’re
opening your life to people
and if their wisdom is coming from a
place where their mind is focused on the
things of
men the things of this world the wisdom
they’re giving you is not the wisdom
that comes from god
you have to be in tune with what did god
already say this is a season where you
have to
look back on your own journals you see
many of you are watching and you’ve been
drawn to
old sermons you’re finding yourself
watching messages from years ago
and you’re thinking that maybe it’s just
quarantine i have time in my hand no
there is something pulling you to what
has already been said
you’re watching old sermons and you’re
like oh my gosh this is really speaking
to me right about now
but there’s something pulling you that
you’re looking for god to say something
new but he already
said what is connected to the season of
your life
you see the bible tells us in isaiah
behold i do
a new thing not that he’s saying a new
thing i do a new thing
and it’s so beautiful he says i make a
way in the wilderness
and rivers in the desert you see god
didn’t say hey leave the wilderness he
said no no it’s okay i sent you to the
wilderness
i sent you to the place that looked like
a dead and i sent you to the place that
look like there’s nothing that can grow
here
i sent you to the place that you’re
wondering that god can these dead bones
dry bones live
what is happening here god i’m in a room
full of dry bones
i’m in a place that just looks like this
is where careers
die why would you send me here
and god was well aware he said i would
do
a new thing i want to use you
to show the world my power i want to use
you to even show you that i am your
waymaker
i want to use you to reflect my goodness
to reflect that impossibilities is
nothing to me
when you said yes to me you said yes to
this call
you said yes to establishing the kingdom
to establish the kingdom it’s not
that the kingdom of heaven is not
buildings
it’s not that you can go down you know
hollywood boulevard
and you know wherever you are in the
world whatever is a popular area
if you’re in nigeria you’re going to
maybe i don’t know wherever you are just
pick a public street
it’s not that you can just go down a
random street and say look
there is the building the kingdom of god
oh look at that so beautiful
the bible says that the kingdoms of this
world will become the kingdoms of our
lord
what does that mean it’s a mentality
that the mentality of this world would
start working in the kingdom mindset
that you will start to think and live
like christ
you will not see things that you you
will not see limitations as that which
can stop you
but you will see limitations as where
god’s power can be revealed
the kingdom being established on the
earth is a mentality
it’s a mindset being established you see
i come from nigeria
and we were colonized by the british and
it’s so interesting because it’s not
that there’s a
british flag in my country now you know
i mean we’ve gained a dependence
but it was the mindset that we adapted
my country is very hot but you know what
we do every morning we drink tea in the
hot
in the heat why because we adapted a
mentality
it is i mean even till now i have the
same habit
it will be nine degrees in la and i’m
drinking a cup of tea in the morning
because there was a mentality that i
adapted there was a language that i took
on
you know funny story um when i moved to
the u.s
i remember one time a friend of mine
took me to denny’s
and so we say um cutlery which is the
british way
and then in america i believe they say
like silverware or utensils or something
like that
so i was at denny’s and i was like yeah
can i get some cutlery
and she looked at me like i you know
maybe she had a man named larry
and i was about to cut larry it was just
like the weirdest stare she’s like what
i said um do you have some cutlery
i mean it really tickled me because i
didn’t know
and so a friend of mine was like child
you know you sound like you’re trying to
cut somebody
and so i was like oh yeah you know like
forks knives
but why am i saying this because you
adapt a language
that is what the kingdom established in
the kingdom is about on the
on the earth and so when god is
assigning you to that place that looks
like a dead end
when god is telling you to do something
that you feel god nothing
grows here he says this is how you
establish the kingdom
because you would move in the mentality
not your own but you would move in my
mindset
you would reveal my glory you would
reveal my power you would reveal
that i am in control what did god
already say what is changing around you
does not change god’s words to you
but what is going to change in your life
is that you’re going to go from one who
heard what he said
to live out what he said
this is not a season to turn your back
on god’s word
just because things got harder or more
difficult this is a season to press
in because you’re going to see the
manifestation of it
this is a season to receive the promise
you didn’t put all that work in for
nothing just for you to walk away and be
deceived
by what looks like wisdom but it’s false
wisdom
because if you’re honest that is
speaking to a different part of you it’s
speaking to your ego
you see there’s something that we often
like to do we’re like you know what god
said
god said this god said that
and i i say god said to a lot you know
but you have to be
careful with using god said
because of what god said to you
yesterday contradicts what god is saying
today
perhaps is not god speaking perhaps it’s
your
wisdom that is giving you insight you
know there’s a there’s a scripture in
the in the in the bible that tells us
to not lean on our own understanding
you have an understanding you have a way
of reasoning
that might not look like what god would
say in that moment
and so we have to learn how to humble
ourselves
to say lord search my heart
what i believe that you said what is it
feeding
is it feeding my insecurity is it
feeding my fear
is it feeding my unbelief is it feeding
my doubt
or is it making me more dependent on you
does it cause me to surrender does it
does it challenge my ability to love
does it mature me in love
does it make me more like you we have to
take a moment and not be so quick to
just put god on everything
because if you and this has happened
this has happened to me
we can’t be so quick to just say oh god
said because we just want that
affirmation that i’m doing the right
thing you got to take a moment and pause
because one word from god can change
your whole life
one word from god can can last you a
whole decade
god’s words are precious so
he cannot be contradicting himself every
other day
you have to check your heart and say
wait did god what what let me understand
what god is saying you have to be
willing to take the time to know what
god has said to you is a worthy
investment of your time
to spend time in his presence to say god
what are you saying what not even what
are you saying my apologies
what have you said already what is it
that you already
said to me what have i abandoned what
have i
ignored
because there are words that i’ve
written in my journal they’re words that
stood out to me they’re words that
jumped at my heart
and i’ve abandoned it because i’m
thinking that you changed your mind
and maybe because things got a little
hard that you’re removing me from the
place that you sent me
you see if you feel like because things
around you look dead it’s a
it’s a marker for you to to to shift
then you’re not look you’re not
it’s not being kingdom minded because
you’re saying that this limitation is
greater than your god
you see another thing that that we do is
when we talk about like you know what i
don’t have
peace on this anymore i don’t i don’t
feel peace on this you know my my peace
is gone
and i’ve been a victim of this too you
know funny story i remember i was dating
this guy
and um i reached out to my pastors you
know my
oh lord this is so funny so i remember i
reached
first i reached out to my spiritual mom
pastor sarah
and i was telling her about this guy and
i was like you know what i feel
so much peace on this who the peace of
the lord is just resting on this
relationship
and then a few weeks went by i said you
know what i don’t feel peace on this
anymore
and i just feel like the lord has
shifted the lord is not in this no more
and i had to take some time because i’m
like
okay stephanie was the lord in it or was
the lord not in it
because now you’re just using peace as
an excuse
but the fact of the matter is that i
really felt like i lost my peace
and i really felt in the beginning that
i had peace i was like which one is it
lord
do i have peace oh don’t i have peace
and there’s a scripture
there’s a scripture in let’s go to it
in john 14 27
the scripture says peace i live with you
this is jesus speaking
my peace i give to you not as the world
gives do i give to you
let not your heart be troubled neither
let it be
afraid you see there is a peace that
comes from the world
and there is a peace that comes from god
the peace that comes from the world is
shaped by your surrounding
when everything in your surrounding
matches what god said to you
when it feels like you know there’s no
obstacle there is no there’s no
challenges everything is just
smooth sailing i’m sure this is what god
wants
and the moments things begin to shift
you’re like
uh maybe maybe it’s not from god now for
me you know
the story i shared really it was never
god in the beginning it was never the
peace of god i felt in the beginning i
just felt the
stability of the waters you know in the
beginning and then i cut up to the
reality that this was something that was
not for me
but there are moments where i’ve also
said you know what i
feel peace on something the next moment
i shifted i’m like i don’t feel peace on
this
but it was not because i didn’t feel
peace on it it was because my focus
shifted you see you have to not be so
quick because
peace is something that is we normally
talk about it that when god gives you a
word how do you know that god was the
one who gave you the word
is that you feel a peace on it you feel
you feel a sense of peace about it
but you have to also be able to discern
what type of peace you’re you’re
you’re feeling or you fall out of
because
god god is not unstable god does not
tell you something to do today and then
tomorrow he’s like okay i changed my
mind
he’s not unstable so if you feel like
your peace is always shifting
and that is why some of the things that
god said to you years ago you’re like
you know what maybe i don’t feel peace
about this anymore
you have to discern where did this peace
come from
because you can have the peace of god
and not just and not even understand
that it’s on you
because your focus has shifted
you see we talked about peter earlier
and there was a moment where
peter was walking on water peter saw the
lord jesus come into the boat on water
jesus was just you know
doing some cat walk you know and just
having a place just having a ball on the
water
imagine if tyra banks was there during
that time it’s like wow you know want to
be on
top america’s next top model okay if
you’ve watched it then maybe you know i
digress
the focus is jesus was walking
on water peter sees the lord
and peter is like god you know what wow
jesus if that is you
just tell me to come jesus says you know
what come peter
peter is walking peter is he is in the
presence of
jesus jesus the prince of peace
he’s walking on water he’s having a
party too
but all along his focus was on jesus
the moment peter’s attention shifted
and he began to focus on the waves and
the storms
all of a sudden peter began to drown but
you see peter was not drowning because
he was not in position
peter was not drowning because he did he
he responded to the wrong word
peter was not drowning because he was
not where he was supposed to be
peter was drowning because his focus
shifted
and sometimes when we say we don’t have
peace about something
it’s not because that really god did not
position you there
but your focus has shifted you’re
looking at the waves you’re looking at
the distractions you’re looking at the
the offense you’re looking at the people
you’re looking at the past you’re
looking at all these things and you’re
like yeah you know
i no longer have peace concerning this
we have to be honest with ourselves
there were this message
checked my own heart where the lord was
like no stephanie just be humble
you know and sit down be humble and
recognize that what you thought came
from me did not come from me
even the scriptures tell us that it
requires humility to receive the word
from god
it says there’s a scripture i believe
it’s in james i have it in my notes and
i want you to note this down and
and read it in your personal time in
james 1 21 it talks about
in humility receive the word
it requires humility to truly receive
what god has said
because we have to check ourselves and
say wait what is this feeding
am i running the other direction from
god’s word simply because i’m scared and
if that’s the case
you can be honest with the lord you can
be honest with him when peter was
drowning
it wasn’t a moment of shame he said lord
he cried out to jesus to help him
his focus shifted you see what does it
mean in a practical sense to focus on
the lord
is to focus on your why
why did god send you there
those are the two things that in your
personal time
in your personal devotion that you need
to sit with god
god what have you already said that i’ve
ignored or abandoned
and why because it is the why that will
keep you anchored in times of
uncertainty and instability
it is the why that will that will keep
you rooted
in the things of god but if you lose
your why
you can be influenced in so many ways
you see there was another thing that
abraham said in that scripture that i
want to point out
abraham when when the scripture in
romans talked about him
it said that and he and not being weak
in the faith and we’ve talked about that
but he said he did not consider
i love the king james version i just
don’t read the king james version
because i feel like i’m in the time of
romeo and juliet
but the king james version talks about
he considered
not and i just love that language that
abraham considered not
his own body the deadness of his body
that abraham considered not the deadness
of sarah’s womb
because in that moment he received what
the lord was saying and he recognized
that god you are bigger than anything
that could challenge us
the problem sometimes is what we are
considering
we are considering you know the people
that may feel like
gnats just you know you just want to you
know just
shoo away we may be considering the
the pain the hurts we may be considering
the wrong things
you may be considering that maybe i’m
not i i’m not i don’t feel adequate for
this
abraham considered not
what is it right now even in the chat
room i believe that the holy spirit will
begin to put things on your heart
that you have been considering that you
need to consider
not because in order to receive what
the word of god in order to manifest
what is in heaven on the earth
there is something that you must not
consider because if you are too earthly
minded then you would come up with all
the reasons that it cannot happen
but when you begin to say you know what
even the deadness of my body can stop
this
even the deadness of sarah’s womb can’t
stop this child from coming
he said because we we serve a god who is
life
and the words that he gives us it is
life
they are spirit and they are life that
is the beauty of god
god is supposed to speak to you in what
is dry
because his word is to bring life
you cannot send life to what has life
you send life to the place that is dry
and barren
so when god positions you in a place and
you feel like god
i don’t know what to do with this i
don’t know what i’m working with
he says exactly that is why i sent you
because you would reveal the life that
is in this word
you would manifest my purpose and you
will manifest the kingdom here
what has god said what do you need to
stop considering put it in the chat room
right now
what do you need to consider not
you see a lot of times if if we are able
to just pause and recognize that
lord before the the pain before the hurt
before the unforgiveness before
all of that before the obstacles before
the limitations before all of that there
was something that was on fire about
there was something i believed that all
i needed was just you
all i needed was just you and i was just
like god i can’t wait for this
but then all of a sudden life happens
you know i don’t know if you’ve watched
lion king
and when they’re singing i just can’t
wait to be king you know
when simba was younger he was just like
wow look at this
all of this is mine he was just this
exciting little you know cub
and then life happens and betrayal
happens and all kinds of things happen
and you see simba
i’m preaching about simba i am

and you see simba he’s confused now
and he’s just like you know what i don’t
want to go back i’m fine just living
an ordinary life i’m just you know
whatever not even ordinary life a
counterfeit life
symbol was like i’m good i’m good on
this
because he had the wrong perception
about it because
so many things came and clouded his
judgment
what was it that made you just excited
you were your own alarm clock
because you had so much passion and fire
for what god said
and then life happens and then you’re
like god maybe you’ve changed your mind
let this be a reminder if you find
yourself in a place that you just feel
like god this is this feels like a
barren land
it doesn’t feel like it’s worth it i
don’t know why i should keep going at it
then you have to remember that the words
that god gave you they were spirit
and they were life and you
are that word and you are the word sent
don’t turn your back on what god has
already told you
because this is the season for you to
receive the promise
don’t turn your back those two things i
want you to do that
take some time in the presence of god
and whether you want to bring out your
journals whatever the case might be
what did god say it doesn’t matter how
many years has gone by
because god watches over his word for
the manifestation
of it that’s what the word of god tells
us he watches
over it and if that word hasn’t
manifested you are still connected to
that season

what did he say and why did he say it
you don’t want to lose your confidence
because the bible tells us
that in your confidence is the reward in
your knowledge is the reward
in your understanding of what god said
you would receive and you will live out
the manifestation of it family i want to
pray with you
because all of none of this is
possible really without the holy spirit
without the holy spirit this would just
sound like noise
but the reason that this is touching
your heart and impacting you and their
and their things come into your mind is
because the holy spirit is who is
bringing it to your mind
that these are the things that you have
neglected and the lord is saying go back
and pick it up
don’t wait 13 years to build something
that was that will be built on a lie
built on your fear built on your on your
insecurity no
go back to what god said
and so let us pray heavenly father we
thank you
we thank you for your goodness oh god we
thank you for your love o
jesus we thank you that in this moment
that you are speaking to the hearts and
minds of your sons and your daughters
and you were bringing to their memory
what you already said
that they may be wondering god maybe
you’re saying something new
but you’ve already spoken and until that
word manifest they are still connected
to that season
i thank you lord that they would humble
themselves before you
that for those that feel like every
moment it feels like their peace
easily shifts it feels like the word of
god there’s a contradiction
that they would say what if this is not
even coming from the wisdom of god well
if this is my wisdom and my
understanding
lord that they will humble themselves
before you to say god search my heart
and show me what is this feeding
is this feeding the what you have called
me to or is this feed in my flesh
lord i thank you for what you are doing
now
i thank you that you are having your way
now in the living rooms of your sons and
daughters
in their cars oh god that you are having
your way you are flooding the atmosphere
and i thank you jesus
that they will submit and surrender even
to the why
that they will keep their eyes on you
that they will not lose their focus so
that they would not lose sight of their
peace
have your way o precious savior
in jesus name family you may be joining

and perhaps you haven’t made the lord
jesus your personal lord
and savior you may have heard about him
you may be
trying him out you know you can’t really
try him out
but maybe you really want to open up
your heart you want to say lord i want
to know you
there’s something about this word that
is really knocking on my heart
you feel this weight you feel some of
you may even feel just a heat on your
chest and that’s the lord saying let me
in
just let me in lord i want to know you i
want to be committed
i want to have intimacy with you i want
to have relationship with you
i don’t want to just hear a sermon as a
you know as a talk of the day
i want to hear a word so i can be drawn
to you
and if that’s you i’m talking to just
put in the chat i’m coming home
and just say this prayer with me
and it’s not just about saying the
prayer the prayer is to reveal
that that sometimes you don’t have the
words of what your heart is feeling and
the prayer is one step
the second step is your commitment the
second step is surrounding yourself with
like-minded people that would grow you
in the faith
we have amazing community groups that
would be of great value to you
we have small groups we have our women’s
ministry our men’s ministry you want to
get plugged in
with a community group and you will see
the information right now in the chat
you want to take one step right now as
we pray but you want to take a second
step
to say lord i want to be around people i
want even though we’re virtually around
each other it’s powerful what happens in
a small group it’s powerful what happens
in our men’s ministry in the women’s
ministry because now you’re meeting
people
that you can share with and that they
can sharpen and everybody’s growing
together
and so just say this prayer with me lord
jesus
come into my heart make my heart your
