Sin causes #Christians to become craven cowards who live in humiliating #defeat. They can’t stand up with courage against #sin because of the secret sin in their own lives. They excuse the sins of others because of the #disobedience in their own hearts and they can’t preach victory because they live in defeat. Some of them once knew what it was like to live victoriously, taking vengeance against sin, having fulfilled Christ’s righteousness in their own lives. They experienced the power, the courage, the blessings that come to those who are obedient to the Lord. Today they are but a shadow of their old selves. Now they hang their heads in shame, unable to look the world in the eye, victimized by a sin that rules their lives. A besetting sin has robbed them of their spiritual vitality and one enemy after another is raised up against them. – A once mightily used #evangelist now sells cars in a small town in Texas. He once stood in the pulpit as a powerful preacher of the #Gospel and thousands were converted through his ministry. He became an #adulterer, left his wife and ran off with his girlfriend. In just a few weeks, he lost everything. That minister is now but a shell of his old self, to see him shuffle about, beaten down and sad-eyed, is pitiful! He lives in constant fear and spends sleepless nights thinking of what could have been. His anxieties have made him physically ill, he has heart pains, ulcers and hypertension. He has repented of his sin, but he cannot undo the past. God forgives, but people don’t.

evangelist who has just recently we have
we’ve heard of a bird of his heart
confessing that for many years he
struggled on a under a burden of lust
and he couldn’t shake it and I knew for
a fact because he’s a dear friend of
mine that he didn’t sleep more three or
four hours a night I told him once in
fact how do you sleep with all the heavy
gifts that you have millions of dollars
and he said David I don’t sleep much
more than three or four hours he said
that a year ago and I called him just
for day before this hit the newspapers
he said now David you know why I didn’t
sleep he said I prayed for hours I wept
I grieved I felt the guilt and the
burden I wept and I fasted night prayed
and folks I still love the man and I
believe there’s forgiveness and healing
loving was on my heart and that the
battle was a losing battle for many
years young lady wrote me a letter this
week she went to Bible School to try to
to kick her habit of drugs and while
she’s in have in Bible School for rule
make you discovered with lesbian and one
night he was seduced and gave in and in
fact became addicted to this lifestyle
and live with such guilt and such shame
she despaired of life itself
in fact she tried to kill herself and
went into the hospital they rushed
through the hospital and he was saved
just in time came out angry that they
brought her back she wanted to die
because of the heavy load of guilt and
shame that was on her back
and in the process this girl married her
boyfriend she lost her boyfriend the
lesbian girl married her boyfriend she
said well at least that’ll break the
habit at least I’m free now but it
wasn’t free because the girl came back
even after marriage and I can’t read all
the details but she said mister once we
just kept on going right through that
marriage and she said I finally gave up
but one day I went to a church and I
heard a message and God’s fear gripped
my life and her letter clothes were
saying I’ve had victory for the last
nine months God has set me free
now here in Times Square Church on at
least three occasions I’ve had men come
to me and I leave one or two of the
other pastors I’ve heard the same thing
at least three times men have jumped up
right during the middle of a service on
over to 42nd Street and took in a porno
movie right while we were having service
got up went out that these two of those
may came back weeping broken saying
brother Dave I don’t know why I did it
I set there hating it but something
picked me up and drove me right through
it I couldn’t seem to help myself I was
driven and it came back and a few of
them fell right on their face one said I
just feel like taking my life I feel so
dirty
I saw feel so hopeless I feel so filthy
what terrible battles losing battles are
being fought there are aged victims many
of them to come to this church near
death die but still holding under the
lust for homosexuality still sticking
the dirty needle into their vein and
even though it’s a dirty needle even
though they have ace and awesome at the
birds of death and still hating God even
though they know they’re about to die
there is one I told you about a drug
addict that came into Teen Challenge
that he he reached the point of despair
one day laying in his little pot he
sucked the needle his face and pulled
out a whole syringe of blood and sprayed
on the ceiling a TLP healthy
with his own blood so despairing of the
problem so despairing of the habit that
had gripped his life if there is not
listen to me if there is not an absolute
100% victory over sin that this Bible is
a lie then everything we’ve been doing
is a hoax we might go shut down the
church and never believe again in the
gospel everything we heard everything we
preached if there’s not one hundred
percent total victory over sin every

not fighting their problem anymore

no this is such a life and death matter

my knowledge he never did get the
victory every time I saw him after that

affairs here’s a man who’s in love with
someone else he’s married or she’s
married and they’re having an affair
and suddenly the Spirit of the Lord
begins to deal in he or she says for

preaching us about the glory of Jesus
and the body the heavens about
redemption and it in all of eternity
will never learn it all it’ll just keep
coming and you’re going to be glorious
that goes in ever-increasing knowledge
of being set free from SID an

never die and ever-increasing knowledge
that you’re with him for eternity

dominion over this little earth

heaven and the glories that they could
have had and all that had been awaiting

why because I believe I believe the
first no time will it be no more so time
is not a measurement you know just to
sure there’s an ever increasing
knowledge of of redemption in heaven I
believe in Hell there’s an ever
increasing knowledge that I’m fitted a
young nation of lostness it suddenly
increases I am lost and it will never
end I am lost it will never change if
you could even say a thousand years from
now will change you might be able to do
it but it will never change
if you tunnel to cycle it won’t end and
there’s going to be an ever increasing
knowledge that you’re damned and
ever-increasing knowledge that you’ve
turned down to me promise of God you
rejected everything that he said sinner
ever-increasing terror and then I call

it’s like for a man to be at the end of
