open your Bibles with me to the book of
ezekiel chapter 47 verse 9 and it should
be that every living thing that moves
whenever the river goes will live there
will be a great multitude of fish
because these waters go there and then
verse 10 says it shall be that fishermen
will stand by it from Engedi
what he’s talking about is the Dead Sea
this is actually a prophecy about
something that’s going to happen in the
future he predicts that the Dead Sea
will be healed of of its death it’s
called the Dead Sea in Israel because of
the salt content nothing can live in the
Dead Sea but he said there’s coming
today when there’s gonna be fish in the
Dead Sea and they’ll be so plentiful
that fishermen will have to be called in
to fish the fish out and you’ve heard
the saying it’s raining cats and dogs
well recently there was a story and I
saw it again this week Charisse and I
saw it on TV of something that happened
in northern Australia in the outback
that is really amazing a phenomenon that
took place this area in northern
Australia is five hundred miles from
water it’s literally in the desert it is
a desert little village and what
happened was all of the sudden there
came a cloud which is not so unusual
because they do get rain seasonally but
this this cloud did not just rain down
rain but it rained down fish I’m not
making this up fish fell from the sky
fish began to fall all over the place
and they said some of them were frozen
and some of them were alive and flopping
when they hit the ground and what the
scientists and meteorologists determined
happened was because there are no rivers
and there are no there
no coastline with within 500 miles of
this little this little desert town in
Australia so what they think happened is
a tornado a whirlwind got over the some
body of water 500 miles away suck the
fish up into the air they went up into
the atmosphere and got so high up that
they got froze up there in the clouds
the wind blew the clouds I’m not making
this up go check it out yourself though
why do you look at me like you don’t
believe this this is do you think I
would lie to you that the wind blew the
cloud 500 miles in inland and then I
guess the atmosphere they think was warm
enough in the desert region that the
fish started melting and falling out of
the sky and some of them must have just
stayed alive up there I don’t know but
something happened because perch the
fish perch fell from the sky and they
they collected them for seven days there
were so many fish everywhere in the
middle of the desert and how many of you
know I’ll preach on anything if I can
find it
I just won’t say when God gets ready to
send your harvests it doesn’t matter
where you’re located it doesn’t matter
if you’ve got a rod and reel it doesn’t
matter if you’ve got a bass boat if God
says it’s your season in this short time
he knows how to make it rain fish in the
middle of a desert then I’ll catch you
nothing down there in the coast but
they’re catching fish out in the middle
of the desert it’s pretty pretty amazing
when you understand that in Scripture
it’s fish and fishermen are always a
portrayal of the relationship between
the church and the lost world the lost
world is a type of the fish because he’s
always using the analogy of going
fishing he said in Matthew chapter 4
follow me to his disciples and I will
make you fishers of men
you’ll catch souls you’ll catch men and
women and boys and girls in the gospel
net and bring them into into safety and
into life and so we are the fishermen
and and and the lost world is the fish
and he said I’ll make you fishermen if
you’ll follow me the thing about being a
fisherman is you have to use a certain
test line they call the line on the
fishing pole the test line and it has a
weight attached to it it’s called a
pound test line or 16 pound test line or
50 or 100 pound and the deal is this the
reason they put a weight on the line is
to let you know what size of a fish that
test line can handle and the higher the
number on the test line the greater the
fish you can catch and so I just want to
say that the greater the test line the
greater the fish the greater the test
the greater the testimony the greater
the mess the greater the message the
greater the resistance the greater the
revival
the greater that the test god puts you
through is a sign
of what kind of fish and what kind of
harvests that he’s gonna attach because
he’s gonna not gonna give you more than
you can bear but he says if you’ve been
tested and tried I know what you can
handle and I’m gonna bless you and I’m
gonna cause you to be able to some of
you been through you you’ve got some
pretty powerful test line that you’ve
been through so you need to believe God
for some great fish in this hour that
we’re in this tells somebody the greater
the test line the greater the fish you
can handle you see Jesus turned to his
disciples one time and he said launch
out into the deep and cast your nets
into the water and Simon being a
professional fisherman said master
really what he was wanting to say was I
am a professional fisherman you are a
preacher you don’t know what you’re
talking about
listen to what he said he said we have
fished all night long and caught nothing
nevertheless at thy word we will go out
and he let down his net now Jesus told
him nets but he let down his net and as
soon as his net hit the water because
he’s God above the water and he’s God if
you’re beneath the water and as soon as
his net hit the water the Bible said
that the fish swam into the net and the
net began to break and they had to call
for other ships in the region to come
help them and throw their nets in
because there was too many fish their
boat began to sink because they were
taken in so many fish which is a
powerful lesson about you know in other
words they were saying hey they’re not
biting over there and they’re not biting
over there and they’re not biting over
there but come over here they’re really
biting I want you to understand that
Jesus said to him you need nets but he
only had one net you know what I think I
think that those they could have called
every
fish in that lake if that had enough
nets and boats I think the only problem
was the Bible said all of their nets
begin to break and the boats begin to
sink because they had some if there had
more nets and more boats let’s stop
limiting God God can still reach this
nation God can still turn this world
around all we need is more nets and more
ships and that’s why we’re building more
churches and casting more nets and
reaching more people why do you do that
why do you keep doing that because this
is our town and God is not limited if
you believe it give him a praise this
morning
quit limiting God I said quit limiting
God I don’t care if you’re in a desert
god knows how to get the fish to
wherever somebody will throw a net and
believe that they can be saved some of
you financially are in a desert how many
of you would like for it to rain
blessing right in your desert watch this
the Bible said that on another occasion
in Matthew chapter 17 that the disciples
had a need specifically Peter and Jesus
had a tax bill deal and Jesus gave a
strange instruction he said take a hook
and go put it in the water and you’re
gonna catch a fish and when you catch
the first fish that you catch open his
mouth and there would be a piece of gold
in his mouth or money in his mouth take
the money and go pay your taxes and my
taxes only if you would like for it to
rain fish like that
that’s my kind of that’s my kind of rain
right there I want you to see that he
goes and he catches a fish and it’s got
the money the resources that he needs in
its mouth I want to remind you even if
you’re in a desert financially that God
is our source I want to remind you that
just when you think that you’re so far
from what you need God can alter things
God can change things
God can cause the wind to blow in your
direction God can take business from way
over there where the heathens are and
bring it all the way over here where
some blessed Christian is in a desert
financially and it all of a sudden pop
and you open their mouth and they’ve got
gold in it what do you say I believe in
a God a favor I believe in a God who
doesn’t play fair I believe in a God who
can bring blessing and he’s not limited
because you’re in a desert I need
somebody to believe with me

we sometimes forget how mighty our God
is so consumed with iPods and iPhones
and iPads that we’ve forgotten he’s the
great I am he can still do the
impossible God knows how much you need
to do his will and he will supply all
your needs according to his riches and
glory and even if you’re in a desert God
knows how to alter things he can alter
things and cause the impossible to begin
to bless you I mean if you believe in
that kind of God we made a commitment in
our faith a few months ago to help even
more than what we do on a monthly basis
with Haiti Bobby and sherry our
missionaries came and they said we we’ve
got this vision of a marketplace you
know it’s the old story you can you can
feed a man a poor man of fish and he’ll
be hungry the next day or you can teach
him how to fish and he can take care of
himself
and so Bobby who’s been a missionary in
Haiti for 30 plus years knows that world
and he said you know we have started
tilapia farms fish farms and we’ve
started this and that and he said and
the people they they’re precious they
have skills but there’s no market
there’s nothing so he said he came to me
and he said we want to build a massive
marketplace that will employ thousands
of Haitians and he said it’s going to
cost 1 million dollars and I thought to
myself well god bless you I hope you
have a good time do it
and the Lord started dealing with me
about that every time I would go to pray
that stuff would just come up before me
and so I reluctantly went back and I
said well Bobby I feel like the Lord
spoken to my heart and we’re gonna we’re
gonna go on and over the next 12 months
we’re gonna pledge that million dollars
to build that marketplace in Haiti it’s
massive this is a massive massive
project now listen to this wait a minute
so so so uh so I we made that commitment
and then they were flying in to show me
the plans the the blueprints of what
it’s going to look like and this and
that it’s amazing what’s beautiful is
the Haitian people will build it the
Haitian people would do all its going to
employ thousands of people and so to
make a long story short I went a couple
weeks later and preached in st. Louis
Missouri for a friend of mine and
dedicated his church David crank and he
built a brand new church there and st.
Louis’s beautiful place and one of one
of the men in that service is a very
wealthy businessman that God had blessed
and we just in casual conversation he
said I like what you’re doing in Haiti
and my ears that I said well really I
said tomorrow I’m meeting with Bobby and
sherry our missionaries they’re coming
in from from Haiti to Gainesville to
show me plans on the new project he said
really and I said yeah I said I said yes
it’s really gonna be something in Bubba
but you know we just talked back and
forth came back the next day and this
man has his own aircraft so he’s blessed
he was going down to Florida but instead
he told the pilot go to Gainesville he
and his wife flew in and while we were
having our meeting they walked into the
conference room and they started seeing
the plans and I’m telling you the Spirit
of God was in that room some of our
media people with the Spirit of God came
in that room and this man and his wife
started weeping and crying and tearing
up and then they pulled out their
checkbook and he wrote a check for
$100,000 and he said you don’t need a
million anymore all you need is on 900
we hadn’t even started it
you get involved in what God tells you
to do which is reaching the harvest you
help people you throw the net 3dnew
beginning see so many people don’t
understand that if we’ll get involved in
the harvest the the the money will come
in God will see to it that the fish have
the resources but we got to help people
and I’m telling you as a business person
if you will reach for the harvest that
will always be resources that God will
have flowing into that business
it’s just how it works it’s just how it
works I’m preaching better than you’re
letting on this morning that’s just how
it works God knows how much you need to
do as well
God knows what you need and there’s no
doubt in my mind that over the next 12
months the rest of those resources will
come in you watch what I tell you
because when you cast the net for the
harvest when your business is involved
in reaching the harvest when you are
sowing and giving and witnessing and
standing and shining your light God says
I will resource that because that’s my
heart because as you do it into the
least of these you do it unto me the
last thing I want to say is there’s one
more story about fish in the Bible we
need to start believing to have miracles
again in the body of Christ we have
become so tame and so logical that we
have dismissed the miracles of God but
if God wants to make it rain in the
desert fish he can make it rain fish in
the middle of a desert because he’s God
so there’s this story of 5,000 people
who were hungry and all they had was 5
loaves in two fish
five plus two equals seven that means
you’ve got seven people something to eat
in four thousand nine hundred and ninety
three go hungry according to our
mathematics but God’s mathematics are a
little different
God says five plus two equals five
thousand when I touch it with a
remainder of twelve because they’re
going to take up twelve baskets full of
leftovers I’m not just the god of enough
I’m the god of more than enough and
you’re gonna take home basket loads of
blessings after you fed everybody else
I’m preaching today that we serve a God
who can still heal cancer we serve a God
who can still move mountains we serve a
God who can anoint you to raise that
business up in a terrible economy an
economy that’s less than perfect God is
perfect and God is able somebody give
him a praise if you believe that he can
still do miracles
I’m talking I’m talking about the guard
I’m talking about the guard who fed the
prophet Elijah by causing a bird for
three and a half years in the middle of
a famine to bring two meals a day and
drop it in his plate I’m talking about a
God who took millions of people into the
desert for 40 years and put clothes on
their back during those 40 years without
a walmart without anything in his place
to shock he put clothes on them in shoes
on their feet and the Bible said the
clothes didn’t wear out and as their
feet grew the shoes grew because he
knows how to do miracles I’m talking
about the God who that all kept flowing
and flowing and as long as they had a
vessel to feel God could cause they
ought to keep flowing and ended an
exhaustible supply I’m talking about the
God who who who touched an old man when
he was a hundred and and his wife when
she was 99 and they conceived and had a
child and that child produced a nation
called Israel I’m talking about a God
who touched a virgin and even though she
had never known a man she became
pregnant with the Son of God and his
name shall be called Jesus for he shall
save his people from their sins and I’m
talking about a God who took five loaves
and two fish and fed 5000 and had twelve
baskets leftover don’t tell me he can’t
provide for you don’t tell me he can’t
heal you don’t tell me he can’t touch
your family don’t tell me he can’t set
you free from drug addiction and
alcoholism don’t tell me he can’t make a
way for you to get to college don’t tell
me he can’t bless that business
it’s raining fish in the desert let the
elements let nature teach you you serve
a supernatural God

hallelujah Jesus said to his disciples
you can discern the sky and when it’s
red you you predict what the weather
will do but you don’t discern the signs
of your times he was saying that God
uses the elements and even nature as his
evangelist could it be that God is
saying I’m about to send such a harvest
I’m about to send a harvest in places
that people were not even thinking I
could bless them in areas unusual things
are going to happen things that you
never thought could happen in your
lifetime I know how to make it rain down
fish in desert places it all started and
I close with this when the Prophet
looked out in the Old Testament and they
were in a famine and he said I see a
cloud the size of a man’s hand now had
that been most of us we would have said
it’s not big enough for anything to come
of it but when the prophet saw the hand
a cloud thus after three and a half
years of famine a cloud the size of my
hand is no big deal would you agree with
that but the Prophet went berserk he
said oh my god Run For Your Lives flash
floods are coming get off this he’ll
hitch the horses up read it and the
Bible said he outran the horses of Ahab
all he saw was a cloud it’s little but
it’s loaded little as much
if God is in it faith sees the unseen
faith hears the unheard I hear the sound
the Prophet said of an abundance listen
to that it’s a little cloud but it’s got
great rain it’s got an abundance it’s
just a little and you may only be seen
little signs of turnaround little signs
of a breakthrough little Sun if we would
ever stop discrediting the little things
if God is in that little thing hit your
horse up and get moving because it’s
about to rain fish in your desert this
