through and that’s what he said the Lord

through the resistance the doors that
were shut were open mirror a whole new
level was entered into everything
changed because the Lord of verse the
Lord of breakthroughs David said came on
to this place where I was fighting a
battle for my life and I had a
breakthrough and he called the place one
translation says he called the place the
Lord mastered my breakthrough in this
place you see a breakthrough is a sudden
dramatic important advance according to
Webster some of you need a health
breakthrough some of you need a
financial breakthrough relationships are
at an impasse it’s stuck it’s not going
anywhere
God wants to give you a breakthrough
here’s something God really spoke to my
heart he said if people will seek me if
they need them I’m going to give them
breakthrough ideas you know God can give
you one breakthrough idea and it can
change your whole world and there are
things that don’t happen until we fast
and pray according to mark chapter 9 and
one thing God said he was gonna do on
this fast this year is he’s gonna give
people breakthrough ideas breakthroughs
with their kids breakthroughs with God
now here’s a big point breakthroughs
never happened to anyone in the Bible
who did not seek them that’s a big
statement you’ll never find anyone in
the Bible who got a major breakthrough
that didn’t seek it that’s why Psalm 77
and verse 2 says when I was in distress
when I was under source when I was
outnumbered
I saw the Lord I stretched out my hands
to the Lord and I had a breakthrough
fasting is a sign to God you’re serious
about not staying in the condition that
you’re in now look at me just a moment
are you really are you really thinking
that something’s going to change if you
just keep going like you’re going I’m
telling you that no one in this book
ever got a breakthrough with a
relationship or in their finances or any
other kind of miracle until they started
to seek the Lord and when you start
seeking the Lord you get God’s attention
heaven bends its ear and God tunes in to
your cry it’s a powerful thing there are
two kings particularly that needed a
breakthrough the first one we just read
about David he had just been chosen King
the Philistines came to attack him
that’s how it goes a mountaintop and
then a valley you get a you get a
victory and then a test it’s just like
the enemy comes at you and what do you
do the Bible said that he moved to his
fortified place if you read the story
you need to move into that fortified
place and he said God should
fight this battle he asks God first you
oughta we’ll always ask God on this fast
what battles you need to get in do I
need to get in that legal battle till I
need to get in that financial battle do
I need to get in that relational battle
do it should I make an issue at work
should I make an issue about this with
that person Lord it should I do it and
when he asked God God said yes yes fight
this battle I’ll go with you I’ll go
before you and the Bible said that God
so defeated his enemy that David when he
sought the Lord saw a breakthrough and
he said I watched the Lord break through
my enemies like a mighty flood the Lord
broke through and that’s what is going
to happen in your life on this 21-day
fast you’re gonna point back and say
that was the 21 days I didn’t even know
it maybe you won’t experience it during
the 21 days rarely does the miracle come
during the fast usually it’ll hit you on
down the road but sometimes you get it
on the first day but the Bible said that
he said I’m naming this place the place
of break through the valley of trouble
became the valley of blessing because he
sought the Lord in fasting and prayer
and that’s what’s gonna happen to you
you’re gonna look back in in 21 days
you’re gonna say that was the place a
breakthrough in my life I’m naming it
bill Paris ‘i’m the god oberst
he’s burst open the resistance and the
doors that were closed
notice Philippians chapter 4 tells us
exactly what those people did in Paul
comes alone and emphasizes it in in
chapter 4 he says these words he says
don’t be anxious for anything the word
anxious means worry some translations
say don’t worry about anything don’t
worry about anything don’t worry about
anything well that’s easy to say how did
in the world huh is that even possible
I’m not worried about my children how do
I not worry about the bad doctors before
how do I not worry
listen to this this is why fasting is so
powerful folks because what fasting does
is it takes your mind off of worry and
it refocuses
on God and his promises that’s how you
don’t worry you refocus on God and
there’s nothing like fasting that will
cause your faith to refocus and and
fervency back in your prayer life worry
is worthless
worry is stewing without doing all
you’re doing is sitting worrying stewing
stewing still running your blood
pressure all the way over there in the
red the the meters all the way up
worrying and it’s totally worthless
that’s why Jesus in the fasting chapter
where he taught how to fast in Matthew
chapter 6 in verse 6 he said don’t like
right in the middle of it dropped this
bomb don’t worry about tomorrow don’t
worry about the future
I am your provider I am your God and if
you’ll refocus on me you’ll remember
I’ve given you everything you’ve ever
had and see the enemy wants you to the
enemy wants you to die on three crosses
and here’s how that goes he wants you to
have a cross from the past that of
things you can’t change the past is over
you might have messed up but you can’t
change it so live in that if you can’t
get you to live him on that cross he’ll
say then then worry about the future
worry about what might happen what could
happen and you’ll die on that cross but
what happens is when you get when you
get given all your day about what I
should have done could have done in the
past and what’s gonna happen what’s
gonna happen in the future I guess what
happens then he puts a third cross and
you killed today worry is worthless
don’t worry about anything but in
everything here’s how you do it pray now
notice what he said he said I don’t want
you to worry about anything I want you
to pray about everything so if you take
a notes write this down don’t worry
about anything well how do I do that I
read
focus on God’s Word when worry starts
attacking me I’d go back to God I
worship Him
I fasted I pray and suddenly my focus
has changed don’t worry about anything
there secondly pray about everything
well it’s kind of silly to probably to
pray about what I’m thinking about yeah
I would put it this way if it’s big
enough to worry about it’s big enough to
pray about what well pastor you don’t
understand I mean it’s not a huge thing
but but my kid needs braces and I just
don’t know where I’m gonna get the money
from if it’s big enough to worry about
it’s big enough to pray about I need a
house I need a if it’s big enough to
worry about it’s big enough to pray
about my children this going on one of
my kids this one there and you sit
around don’t worry about anything pray
about everything pray about it pray
about it pray about it and the Lord told
me to tell you enjoy chapter 2 in
closing this is what it says it says if
you’ll return to me and fasting and in
prayer listen to this I will restore the
years the enemy has stolen our God is a
healer of broken dreams and he is a
restorer of stolen years and this is the
year when God is going to break through
in your life and everything in your life
is going to change I really do believe
when I’m preaching you’re gonna get a
breakthrough and and instead of being a
prisoner of an appetite for for because
you’re an alcoholic or a drug addict and
that’s keeping you in a in an inner in a
place that you can’t get out of and so
much God has for you
you’re gonna walk through the door
you’ve never been able to walk through
because he’s the God of births he’s the
God of breakthrough I feel the Lord lift
your hands up and shout break through
three times
come on get it big in your mouth and say
breakthrough feel it church somebody’s
going to get a breakthrough in your
health then you’re gonna get you your
health back this year help is on the way

Kings chapter 8 verse 3 it came to pass
at the end of 7 years the woman returned
from the land of the Philistines she
went to make an appeal to the king for
her house and for her land verse 6 says
and when the King asked the woman she
told him so the King appointed a certain
officer for her saying restore all that
was hers all the proceeds of the land
from the day that she left the land
until now seven years she left but when
she came back she got back what she lost
she got her house back she got her land
back but then the king was so gracious
was so merciful that instead of giving
any judgment for her leaving he turned
around and left her even more blessing
and said give her all the profits that
the land produced the seven years she
was gone I mean if you’d like to go off
on vacation and come back and have more
than you had when you left seven years
that’s that’s pretty good deal but I
want to preach to you a principle it’s
not some great but this is a principle
that will work any time you find a Bible
principle it will work in every area of
your life and this is a principle that
I’ve never shared before that I want you
to get ahold of if you’re going to get
back what you lost you got to go back to
what you left you can’t expect to have
the benefits of a company or a
corporation if you leave that company if
you leave the company you lose the
benefits of that company you
lose the paycheck the benefits of
insurance you lose the benefits if you
leave the company when you leave the
church you lose the benefits when you
leave the word when you leave an
intimate life of consecration dedication
sanctification unto God you cannot leave
without losing if you leave something
you lose something when you leave
something that used to work you lose
something and the only way to get back
what you lost is to go back to what you
left that’s the only way as a society we
have left morality we have left modesty
we have left the fear of God and we have
lost the fear of God we have lost the
smile of God if we want what we lost
we’ve got to go back to what we left
you cannot leave holiness and not lose
godliness
you cannot leave separation and not lose
distinction when we leave something we
lose something you cannot leave the
principles the precepts of God’s Word
and not lose it may take a while to
catch up with you but when you leave you
lose and if we’re going to get back what
we’ve lost we’ve got to return to what
we left if you’ve lost joy return to
praise now you can stay depressed if you
want to God will let you stay in your
down condition all you want but if you
have lost joy return to praise if you
have lost victory return to the world
return to seeking God the only reason
that Samson lost power is because he
left purity when he left purity he lost
power because power only comes purity
produces power he kept his vows he had
power
he left his vows to God I won’t cut my
hair on
won’t eat dead things I won’t touch
certain things I won’t drink wine that
was his vows to God and when he left his
vows he lost his power when he left what
he vowed to do God left what he promised
to do in his life and if you leave the
principles and the precepts of God it’s
a matter of time before you lose his
presence this woman in second Kings
chapter 8 was told by the Prophet to
leave because a famine was coming and
she left for seven years and after seven
years she came back and noticed the key
to the story if you want to get back
what you lost because when she left she
gave up her house she gave up her farm
she gave up everything and she left she
comes back seven years later but the
first person she goes to see is the king
if you want to get back what you lost
you’ve got to go back to the king you
got to come back to the king in this
brand-new year you’ve got to come back
to him and bow your knee and confess him
as Lord and surrender your life to him
some of you have lost so much and you
keep losing and you think you can make a
success out of sin and you can’t as long
as you leave Jesus and leave his word
and leave the principles and concepts of
consecration purity holiness and being
set apart by God for his purpose when
you leave that you lose all the benefits
that come with that that’s the bad thing
but the good news is if you’ll come back
to what you left you can get back what
you lost you can get your fire back you
can get your praise back you can get
your tears back you can get your joy
back you can get your your vision back
you can see again in Luke chapter 15 the
prodigal son left the father’s house now
watch this if you leave you lose he left
a father in the farm and the produce of
the farm and the blessings and the
goodness of
father the love of the father he left it
and when he left it he didn’t even know
he lost he never the astonishing part of
this story as I read it again this week
is he never thought he would lose
he thought he could leave the father and
the father’s house and not lose and it’s
the same old lie Satan is telling
millions of people now you can leave the
father you can leave the father’s house
and he didn’t even think he would lose
look at all I got I got all this money
and look out here I’m having parties and
it may take a while it may take a while
he’s me smoking weed he’s backing it up
in the club he’s paying for all the
drinks he he’s yeah you getting turnt
all this is so fun I hadn’t lost nothing
it might take a minute but I promise you
the principle will work if you leave the
father’s house you’re gonna lose
something and it’s a matter of time
before you end up in the Pigpen broke
and down and tore up from the floor up
and messed up but oh here’s the good
news
the father’s still waiting saying come
back come back if you’ll come back to
what you’re left you can get back what
you lost I need somebody who’s
experienced it to give God a great shout
of praise today that we can come back
cause these plenteous in mercy
I thank God for the closeness that comes
through fasting it’s all about drawing
close to Jesus do you hear that it’s not
about just going without food it’s all
about I wanna draw closer to Jesus and
allowing His grace and mercy to bring
abundant life that he has promised
healing and victory and prosperity you
can have a personal relationship with
Jesus and it’s as simple as opening your
heart you just say these words you just
say Jesus be Lord I don’t want to live
another year without you another day
without you be Lord of my life somebody
needs to say that right where you’re
sitting Jesus be Lord of my life
he heard that prayer get in touch with

to increase if you look at them the
symbol of our fastest year is and it’s a
minus sign and it’s a plus sign and it
speaks of the verse of John the Baptist
when John said I must decrease so that
he can be the plus and increase and
listen anytime you fast you’re
decreasing so that Jesus will increase
his wisdom his anointing his his his
power his grace his favour his direction
for your life it’s going to increase as
you decrease that’s why it’s so powerful
at the end of the year it’s always
critical it’s always a critical time for
the for the ministry but this year is
particularly critical as we’re doing all
that we can to provide safe housing and
care food shelter for Holocaust
survivors in Israel think about what I’m
telling you so many have already
responded and I want to say thank you
from the bottom of my heart thank you
for loving the people the Jewish people
the Holocaust survivors thank you for
trusting us that we will do exactly what
we promised we would do with the
