compare to what it’s like when the
Spirit of God comes and begins to feel
you suddenly you realize God knows my
name
I have a call on my life I’m here for a
divine purpose do you feel empty on the
inside like you need more of Jesus then
it’s time for a revival and it begins
now on Kingdom connection
look with me in Joel chapter 2 and verse
28 and it shall come to pass afterward
that I will pour out my spirit on all
flesh and your sons and your daughters
shall prophesy and the old men will
dream dreams and your young men shall
see visions also my men’s servants and
on my maidservants I will pour out my
spirit in those days Joel was
prophesying and he mentions four
categories of people that were going to
experience a true revival a true
outpouring of God’s Spirit upon their
lives and it’s interesting that the word
revived from which we get the word
revival is only found four times in the
entire Bible the first time that the
word revived is found it’s connected to
Joel’s prophecy it’s in the book of
Genesis 45 and it’s talking about an old
man by the name of Jacob Jacob in
Genesis 45 had lost his son Joseph
Joseph was the dreamer and his son was
dead he thought and forever gone he
thought his dream had forever
left his life and he was grieving and he
said I can’t be comforted and he said
all things are against me he made that
statement and sometimes it feels like
your dream has died and everything’s
come against you and nothing’s going
right this was how Jacob felt and it was
in that hour that Genesis 45 said that
even though he thought his son was dead
his son was very much alive Joseph was
at that moment sending waggons a
provision that were bringing the
blessings and bringing the proof that he
was alive and the scripture said when
Jacob saw the waggons and comprehended
that what he had been told about his son
was true that he truly is alive he began
to be revived the scripture said he was
revived in his spirit an old man got
revived in his dream revived his his
dream came alive his won’t
li’l of his desire his unction from God
came back at an old age which lines up
with Joel’s prophecy that in the last
days I’ll pour out my spirit and your
old men will dream dreams see it’s
interesting how God’s Word fits together
and the first time the word revived from
which we get revival is mentioned and
noted it had to do with an old man who
had lost his dream I want you to
understand that God wants to pour out
his spirit and sometimes we think that
that has to do with a new generation but
it starts with an older generation it
starts with the elders of a church and
you don’t have to be old to be an elder
if you’ve been serving God for many
years and you’re maturing God you’re in
an elder even if you don’t have any gray
hair but what happens is God says I’ve
got to if I’m going to send a revival to
a place it doesn’t start with the new
converts it doesn’t start with the
people out there in the world getting
saved it starts with the elders it
starts with the old men and women who
have allowed life and the end and the
temptations and the struggles and the
trials of life to steal their dream your
old men will dream dreams not lay down
and die when the Holy Spirit begins to
move again suddenly people get a dream
back they get a desire back he said the
old men will dream dreams I thank God
for that because it’s important Jacob
was at a point in his life where he had
lost his dream but the old man had his
dream restored in his old age it was
given back to him his dream was
resurrected
sometimes we almost give up on things
and he had given up and thought that his
dream which was Joseph his boy was gone
forever and we give up too quick we need
to understand that God when he
since revival can revive your dreams you
see when he saw the wagons coming
something kicked in something came alive
in that old man and he began to dream
even at an old age the Spirit of God
gave him a dream it’s about his time
it’s not about your time it’s not about
when you think God has to move and by my
30s I have to see this and by my 40s I
should be this far along and by my 50s
if it hasn’t happened then it’s just not
going to happen it’s about his time not
your time Moses was 80 years old when
God said now it’s my time I know your
time would have been when you were in
your 20s or in your 30s or in your 40s
but that was not my time and some of you
may be given up on the dream that God
has for you just when he has on his time
caught decided it’s time for your dream
to come true it’s about his time Caleb
was 85 when he said give me this
mountain and he ran every Jain off at
the age of 85 it’s why we need to pray
teach me to number my days and help me
not to give up when God has told me he’s
going to do something something happened
in the latter years the first group of
people that are going to experience
revival are the elders the older ones
the old men will dream dreams notice the
order the young men will see visions the
children the the sons and daughters
would be have the Spirit poured out and
the hand maidens and servants but notice
it starts with the older the old men
dreaming dreams again you have to get an
attitude when you get around the Holy
Spirit that says the rest of my years
will be the best of my years God is not
through with me God is not finished with
me I’m not 65 and sliding for home God
has a purpose and a plan and he still
has dreams that he wants to put in our
hearts and I don’t care how old you are
God still has you here for a reason and
you
were part of the revival come on and
give God a shout of praise the path of
the righteous grows brighter and
brighter not darker and darker brighter
and brighter and Paul had a vision and
then he heard a voice and 26 years later
he stood before King Agrippa in Rome and
he said I was not disobedient to the
heavenly vision I want you to understand
that he had a vision but he kept that
vision alive and it took 26 years and
sometimes we quit too soon and we give
up too soon but God would say to you in
this revival I want to revive some of
those dreams and keep those dreams alive
because I know what I planned for you
and I’m not through with you old men
will dream dreams you see most men who
fell in the Bible to sin fell the last
half of their life David fell the last
half of his life to the sin of adultery
Solomon fail to sin the last half of his
life
Hezekiah started worshipping idols the
last half of his life King Saul back
slid the last half of his life the most
dangerous period of your life is when
you enter into your 50s and into your
60s and if you don’t have a passion for
God and you just let Church become
routine and you just let yourself grow
cold and indifferent what has to happen
as you get older and you get strand you
get more mature in the word is you have
to have the Holy Spirit breathe on you
again and keep everything fresh and
everything alive and everything where it
needs to be passionate about Jesus
Christ I’m telling you that if your
dream has died there’s something coming
down the road I see the wagons coming
I see the provision coming I see the
blessings coming I see your families
coming I see the wagons and you need to
by faith say Holy Spirit restore and
I’ve my dreams I wonder how many of you
have 45 and older raise your hand up let
me see your hand a lot of old people
here today well I speak this over your
life that in the name of Jesus Christ in
this revival you are going to have an
awakening of the dream you’re gonna
dream again and you’re gonna see things
again and you’re gonna believe four
things again and you’re gonna get a
passion for God again
I want everybody 45 and over just to
lift your hands and say do it in me Lord
I see the wagons coming great days are
coming not behind me they’re in front of
me then Joel said not only will the old
men during dreams but he said the young
men will see visions the people in their
20s the men and women in the 30s the
people in their 40s that’s not that’s
not young it is when you getting old
he’s real young he said the young men
will see visions and I couldn’t put this
together
only in God’s Word the second time the
word revived is found is connected to
Sampson in the book of Judges the
fifteenth chapter Samson was a young man
that had great strength and power and
anointing but his own family turned him
over to the enemy sometimes it’s your
own family and only your family that can
successfully bind you nobody else could
bind Samson but his own family delivered
him into the hand of the Philistines and
sometimes in your young 20s and 30s and
40s it’s your own family issues that can
bind you up and cause you to feel
restricted and defeated so Samson though
begin to break loose from those chains
and he had to fight the Philistines and
the Bible said he took the jawbone of a
donkey and he killed a thousand
Philistines he was fighting that battle
fighting that battle fighting that bad
when he finally killed the last
Philistine the scripture said that his
spirit left him he was just so worn out
from the fight so weary from the fight
so so just fighting for his family and
fighting for his dream and fighting you
know sin and all the things we fight and
fighting to raise our children for God
and sometimes you’re just fighting and
fighting raising those children and
trying to get that business going and
trying to get that house and trying to
do all that you need to do in busy
schedules but what happened to Samson is
no enemy on the outside could destroy
him it was the fact that he had run out
of inward strength he ran out of
resources and God showed him some fresh
water and he said if you go to that
jawbone I’ll fill it full of fresh water
and he went over and God had to
replenish him after you fought the devil
wants you to just be exhausted and go
from battle to battle to battle but what
you’ve got to do as you’re fighting the
battles especially you young couples and
you young men and young women and you’re
doing so much is you’ve got to have
those times like this revival when you
get replenished inwardly where God
restores your soul where you are so
weary from fighting trying trying to
fight for that you know just take care
of that family and all the pressure
that’s on you sometimes and you have to
get to the living water which is the
Holy Spirit and you have to drink and be
replenished and be refreshed and fill
alive again and feel the love of God
again all anew suddenly he found the
place of refreshing he found the place
where God restored his soul and I’m
talking to people in their 20s and in
their 30s and in their 40s and you’re so
busy and you’re building and you’re
doing and you’re fighting and you’re
fighting but how long has it been since
you stopped it all and understood
and I’m dry inside man I’m weary inside
boy I’m putting on a good front but I
wish I could have a good cool drink from
the river of life well in this revival
God wants to revive you God wants to
bring purpose to your family
God wants to send the holy spirit and
because sometimes you’re fighting in
your own natural strength and it takes
the anointing to come back on you and
the thing about Samson is he lost his
vision he was a young man and he lost
his vision now Jacob was an old man and
he lost his dream but jaws said the old
men will dream dreams and the young men
who get their vision when the Holy
Spirit comes on when revival comes to
them and that’s what happened to Samson
God restored his vision the Philistines
had plucked his eyes out but God gave
him a little lad and he became his
vision and he took him and put his hands
on the pillar of the temple of Dagon and
he destroyed the Devil’s Playhouse and
he did it in because his vision got
restored when he began to drink the
water that replenished and refreshed him
and I felt like I needed to prophesy in
this sermon today that during these days
of revival there are going to be 20s and
30-somethings and 40 something’s that
are going to lift their hands and you’ve
been fighting and fighting and fighting
and you’re so dry and so weary and God
is going to pour out that rain that he
talked about and that living water and
it’s going to fill you and restore your
vision the old men will dream dreams but
the young men will get the vision back
for without a vision you’ll perish God
has a vision for your family God has a
vision for you if you’re single right
now and don’t you be diverted by the
enemy’s distractions God has a vision
and it’s about his time not your time
you put yourself in this revival in
God’s hands and watch him bring the
vision to pass
everybody who is uh everybody who’s
20-something 30-something in early forty
something and don’t lie lift your hands
up right now
and say Lord replenish me with living
water in this revival keeping my vision
give me my vision restore my vision then
Joel said that when God pours his spirit
out he’ll pour it on our sons and on our
daughters this is connected to the third
time the word revive is found in first
Kings 17 it talks about a child that was
raised from the dead and it said when
the prophet prayed over the child that
the child was revived so Joel said that
in the last days God would pour his
spirit on the sons and the daughters
here we see even the children being
filled with the Holy Spirit the children
experiencing the power of God the
teenagers the college students even the
even the adolescents the children are
receiving and falling in love and being
captured by the presence of the Holy
Spirit oh oh how I long for that kind of
revival I’ve had them in my own life in
my own ministry I started when I was 20
years old preaching revivals and I would
see God use me particularly among young
people my brother and I because we were
so young young people would come to our
revivals and we were single and so young
girls would come and you know what we
would go to youth camps and we would go
to churches and we would see hundreds of
young people flood to the altars and be
filled with the Holy Spirit and there’s
nothing like it there’s no party the
world has that can compare to the power
of God filling you there’s no drug
there’s no joy
there’s no popularity there’s nothing
the world can offer can even compare to
what it’s like when the Spirit of God
comes and begins to feel you suddenly
you realize God knows my name I have a
call on my life I’m here for a divine
purpose how along for the sons and the
daughters in the book of second Kings it
tells the story of the child that had
died and the prophet was brought in and
the Bible said that when the child died
the scripture said that the mother
blamed herself I don’t know if you’ve
ever noticed this but it said it
actually says this she said when her son
died my sin has come upon me and
sometimes when our children fall away
it’s easy to be filled with guilt and
start blaming ourselves and saying it’s
my fault it’s my fault it’s my fault but
I want to tell you what I learned years
ago you can’t keep your kids from their
testimony and all God is doing is
working on their testimony and the kids
that are here you’ll never be able to
get rid of what we put on you through
prayer and fasting and anointed services
and revival like we’re in right now you
can go out and you can do it all but
guess what the Holy Spirit is going to
hound you right back to the dorm room
and while you lay there I stoned out of
your mind he’s gonna get in your ear and
say you belong to Jesus you’re you your
body is the temple of the Holy Ghost
even in a bed of fornication the Holy
Spirit will grab you put his arms around
you and say I still love you and I’ve
got a plan for you you’re better than
that young lady you’re better than that
God’s got bigger things for you they
just lay him down to any old boy who
have you God
his hand on you don’t sell yourself
cheap you’re a great value to our God
what you need is the Holy Spirit what
you need is the anointing of God on your
life and he’s promised I’m going to
revive a generation of young people
don’t ride them off because my spirit is
going to come on them and I’m going to
use them and they’re gonna know what
life is in life more abundantly in me
and what category are you in teenager
college student high school student
don’t you want something more than the
empty feeling sin leaves you with those
of you in your 20s 30s chasing that
dream with all of your heart that’s
awesome nothing wrong with that but you
need a replenishing oh what a difference
it would make to get in God’s presence
let him fill you with living water busy
housewife
Racing the kids here and they’re running
them to soccer practice
cheerleading this that and the other
going all over the place let him
replenish you elders God wants to
restore your dream handmade servants
just ordinary people God saying I can
use you make yourself available to me I
want to do something great in your life
I believe no matter how old or how young
you are God can place a new jury a fresh
vision in your life if you’re hungry for
more of him he’ll start something new a
revival in your soul revival begins with
a personal relationship with Jesus
Christ and if you don’t know him as your
Savior pray with me right now we’re
praying for revival across America and
around the world and it starts right
there in your home just open your heart
and say Lord I receive your grace I
receive your love I receive your mercy I
receive what you did on on the cross
through Calvary and the blood that you
shed Lord send revival to my life to my
home breathe life into me Lord Jesus I
receive you as my Lord and as my Savior
just say those words in Jesus name Amen
