placed a special anointing in this house
this anointing is is i can’t even think

amazing friend
and uh you know normally when when i use
the pastor of a church when a pastor
comes in you know we we have an honor
moment and you know we honor all they’ve
done in the body of christ but i want to
honor my friend
i want to tell you why he’s my friend
he’s my friend because he’s a man of
character
and integrity
he’s my friend because he owns the gap
when he messes up
he’s my friend because he lives an
open-handed life
and and and what i love about that
open-handed life is we are all a result
that when pastor mike and natalie have
have have lived with their hands open it
keeps our hands full
and so i want to just brag on my friend
for a second
he’s a man who picks up the facetime
come on somebody and calls he prays and
and i’m so honored to be here and i’m so
honored to be a part of what god is

and i just want to encourage you today

feel the anointing
i believe that today i’m just a conduit
to what god wants to do in your life
and i love that the holy spirit is not a
respecter of location come on he can
visit you where wherever you are around
the world those weren’t those are not
going to be goosebumps that is the

interrupting your life
for a divine
destination
i’m also excited about my beautiful
family i i’ve been married for 23 years

and it’s been about the best seven years
ever

my wife and i experienced
amazing revival in our marriage about
seven years ago
i’m going to talk about
today i want you to lean in a pastor who
struggled with pornography
i’m going to talk about a pastor’s wife
my wife
i’m a pastor’s husband because we both
ran the church
but i’m going to talk about how a pastor
can fall into the addiction of
alcoholism
yep
i want you to lean in today because i
stood on a stage like this seven years
ago 420 pounds
but i got uncuffed come on somebody
from comfort
and so why i set that up is because many
times when somebody gets up you’re like
man here’s this person who you know
who’s on a stage but i want to let you
know that just because the stage is a
little bit higher than where you’re
sitting right now the man that’s on it’s
not higher than you he knows right
where
you are
take a look at the picture of my amazing
family because this is my miracle if you
want to know like what’s my miracle
that’s my miracle come on somebody
yep i know what y’all are thinking like
how in the world did she get him i i
knew
that’s what y’all was thinking but
that’s my girl
irene and uh she’s she’s amazing as i
said 23 years and and then those are my
kids come on my my my three amigos there
uh kayla is to the left of the brown
pants she is uh 21 and attends
southeastern bible college and she’s
going to be in full-time ministry and
and
absolutely and jayden is my 19 year old
son sitting right there he’s been
lifting weight so he would be mad that i
showed this because he’s like swole now
like i really have to try now to whoop
him and you know i still do uh but
and then maya my 16 year old baby come
on somebody i know she’s beautiful but
she’s 16 and i can fight
just let y’all know i can lay hands and
throw them at the same time i ain’t
scared of none of y’all let’s go
amen and i’m ready to jump into god’s
word because it’s cuffing season come on
transformation
nation we are getting free up in this
house and he who the sun sets free
they’re not halfway free
come on somebody they’re not three
quarters free they are free
in
deep somebody getting set free
today
it’s cuffing season
and i i just have this thought
that
if we are commissioned
as followers of christ
to set the captives free
we can’t do that
from a place
that we haven’t experienced freedom
ourselves
and i believe
that the body of christ
is suffering
in silence
because they feel like they have to hide
the things they’re cuffed to
i feel like that there’s churches who
have not reached their fullest potential
because we are cuffed
to things
cuffed to comfort and cuffed to
convenience and cuffed
to all sorts of things
and here’s what i believe today
i believe today that somebody’s getting
uncuffed
i believe today that somebody’s gonna
find joy today
i believe today that somebody is on the
verge of committing suicide but i want
you to know that god specifically might
call you by name during this message to
let you know that he knows your exact
location he knows your exact address and
he has not forgotten about you a matter
of fact he loves you too much to leave
you in the space that you are right now
and so today
my assignment
is to talk about
cuffed
to the crowd
come on somebody
cuffed
to
the crowd i dare you right now in the
chat to just type cuffed
to
the crowd
and today i believe that we’re going to
get uncuffed
watch this watch this uncuffed from the
people we’re called to
because uncuffed doesn’t mean i’m
supposed to cancel you
uncuffed means that if you are part of
the crowd that’s keeping me cuffed once
i get free i’m commissioned to help you
get uncuffed
and so today we’re going to get
uncuffed
from the crowd
because the crowd
is killing
our calling
the crowd
has crippled
our commission
the crowd
has caused us to be chronic
and contagious
in our fake and phoniness
the crowd
i don’t believe that the crowd
hates church
i don’t believe that the crowd does not
want to go to church i don’t believe
that the crowd come on is is is is is
forsaking the things of god i think the
crowd outside of the church doesn’t come
to church because the crowd inside the
church
is cuffed
i want to be uncuffed
and i want to take you to a familiar
passage of scripture in mark chapter 5.
and we you’re going to know this as
dealing with the woman
with the issue
of blood
and it says this
it says jesus got into the boat
again and went back to the other side of
the lake
where a large
crowd somebody said crowd
a large crowd gathered
around him on the shore
then a leader from the synagogue whose
name was jairus arrived
and when he saw jesus
he fell
at his feet
pleading fervently with him
my little daughter
is dying
and he said please come
lay your hands on her
and heal her
so that she
can live i just want to pause right
there before i jump in because today is
father’s day
and i love the fact that there are some
who has a father in the house that is
passionate about them living
but jairus and this girl are not the
only character in this story there’s
another woman whose father is not
mentioned and i don’t know where you are
in your relationship with your father i
don’t know if your father was there or
not there but this woman come on
somebody she did not have a father come
looking for her so she had to go looking
for the father
i want you to know come on somebody that
god never come on asks for something
that he doesn’t plan to fill and if he’s
asking you to leave your house and you
feel empty he’s going to fill your
spiritual house
no matter the state
of your relationship
with your natural
dad
because i love the fact that if i have
an issue with my
natural dad
my spiritual dad
makes up
the difference
in verse 24 it says jesus went with him
and i love this and all the people
followed
crowding
around him
a woman in the crowd
had suffered for 12 years
with constant bleeding
she had suffered a great deal from many
doctors and over the years she had spent
everything
she had
to pay them
but she had gotten no better in fact she
got worse
verse 27 and i love this because it lets
me know that she might be a little
ghetto she had heard come on somebody
she had her what i had heard was
she had heard
about jesus
so she came
up beside
him through the crowd
and touched
his robe
for she’s thought to herself if i can
just touch his robe
i will be healed now i might be healed
not maybe be healed
may not next year be healed come on i
love the fact that a woman who had been
suffering for 12 years
still
is a candidate for immediate yes
i don’t know what you have been dealing
with i don’t know what you’re sitting
behind your computer confused about i
don’t know the state of your
relationship with your spouse or the
state of your relationship with your god
or the state of relationship with your
self but i just want to let you know you
may be 47 years old and you have been
dealing with an issue and i want you to
know that you are a candidate of and
immediately somebody shout immediately
well she thought to herself if i can
just touch his robe
i will be healed immediately
the bleeding stopped
and she could feel in her body
that she had been healed
of her terrible condition
jesus realized uh at once that healing
power had gone out from him so he turned
around in the midst of a crowd and said
who touched my robe and his disciples
were like homie
you see this crowd you see all of these
people
there’s about 20 000 here and you’re
talking about who touched you
who touched my robe
his disciples said look at this crowd
they’re pressing
around you how can you ask who touched
me but he kept i love this he kept on
looking
how many of y’all know that sometimes
it’s not your desperation that will get
the attention of jesus it’s your
deprivation
in other words if i’m empty
come on somebody it gets the attention
of my creator
i don’t have to be full i don’t have to
know all the words to the songs i don’t
know how to speak in tongues but it’s my
deprivation
that will cause god to have a revelation
and find me
and deliver me
and heal me
then the frightened woman
trembling at the realization of what had
happened to her came and fell
to her knees in front
of him and told him what she had done
and he said to her
daughter
your faith
has made you well
go in peace
your suffering
is

that by the end of this service
i prophetically speak into your house
that your suffering
is over y’all don’t hear what i’m saying
right now
i prophesy to your lack and i say your
suffering
is no more come on somebody i know you
don’t have much confidence but i came to
tell you come on somebody that’s your
weeping is
over
i feel like prophesying right here
scripture says that weeping may endure
for a night but joy comes in the morning
i want to let you know joy is yours
you’re just counting wrong
you think just because it’s dark outside
that it’s not a new day but midnight
only lasts 60 seconds because at 12
o’clock it’s midnight at 1201 it’s a new
day just because it’s still dark outside
does not mean that god has not flipped
the script and made a new day your
suffering
is over
it’s over

to the crowd yeah
years ago when my kids were little
we had no money
come on i’m talking about we were broke
bro
uh-huh
and i was like we got to go on a
vacation
so when you’re broke you just hijack
hijack somebody else’s
vacation
so we hire jack my parents vacation
because they had money come on somebody
i stayed my entire family in their villa
and we went to disney world y’all it was
amazing
oh it was amazing because it was free
come on holy ghost
it was better just because it was free
and i i was a big boy back then y’all i
told you i was 420 pounds i didn’t get
on any rides the the only line i stood
in is the one that had to smoke turkey
leg come on
and all day y’all y’all i’m telling you
that smoked turkey leg is filled with
the holy ghost

it was perfect
but about halfway
about halfway through the day
you know my kids were little at the time
and maybe my son was about eight years
old at the time
and
on the way to the park
he got frustrated
because the traffic was crowded
and he’s like when is this crowd going
to dissipate
when is this crowd
going to go away because i want to get
into the park yeah come on somebody
and then after that
we got out of the car and we started
walking in a crowd to the ticket gate
and there was a crowd at the gate
so this little boy was filled with
expectation but what stood
in between where he was and where he
wanted to be
was a crowd
and then we got into the park after we
navigated our come on day through the
crowd and and and what he could not
stand
he couldn’t stand to be in line
waiting for something that he already
had a reservation for
i want to let you know you already have
a reservation for your breakthrough you
already have a reservation for your next
level you already have a reservation for
what god has in store for you
what could it be
there’s a crowd
in between
where you are
and where god has called you to be
i saw the frustration
of being in the crowd
and then
something happened
at noon
they had
a parade
halfway through the day
now i we even had no money but i did see
some parents
they had their kids cuffed
to them
they had this little velcro thing and it
was attached come on to their child i
thought it was a leash
but they were i couldn’t afford that
and i didn’t even know
if that was godly come on somebody
but the parade came
and the music came
and the celebration
came and all of the characters came and
the crowd that he was frustrated with
all day for some reason this little
eight-year-old boy wanted to be caught
up in the crowd that he did not want to
be caught up in earlier what changed
sometimes
the crowd looks enticing
sometimes it’s easy to do what ery
body
is doing
and what he did not know
is that i as his father
he was cuffed to me but he compromised
who he was called to because he got
cuffed to the crowd come on somebody and
what i have found in the body of christ
what i have found dealing with a
generation of young people is it’s so
easy to go with the crowd and compromise
your convictions it’s so easy to go with
the crowd and compromise your calling
it’s so easy to go with the crowd and
compromise who god has ordained you to
be let me tell you something the crowd
that you have been cuffed to guess what
they’re all characters that’s not real
son this is what’s real and i’m not
gonna tie you down but i’m gonna be here
for when you get back some of us
got caught up
in the celebration
and we’ve uncuffed
from the
revelation of who god has called us
to be
crowds are sometimes
complex
we love crowds
when we go to the concert
but we hate crowds
when we’re standing in line to get the
ticket
we love crowds
when we go to the basketball game yeah
yeah
and everybody come on somebody
is rooting for the same team
because we’re playing at home
but that same uniform
at home when you’re playing on the
territory of the enemy the crowd that
celebrated you will now be the crowd
that crucifies you
i believe jesus came for a crowd and
jesus was commissioned to a crowd and
it’s crazy to me that the people he
healed were the people who wanted to
hurt him and say crucify him crucify him
crucify him the crowd can be complex
you ever been in traffic
and you’re wondering
what happened
we’re all going straight
i don’t understand
why i’m stuck somewhere
when i have an appointment somewhere
when everybody is just supposed to go
straight
i don’t get it i’m late and we just
supposed to be going straight y’all
that’s bars right there you missed it
i’m trying to tell you right now what i
have come to find out is the accident
does not have to be in my lane
to my calling
i can just be
too busy watching somebody else crash

that it can rob me
of getting to my appointment that god
has called me that’s why i can’t comment
on what is going on with everybody else
and concentrate what’s going on with
everybody else i got to stay in my lane
transformation i dare you to type in the

i got to learn
how to concentrate on my calling

because if not i could
wind up
falling
we love the crowd
even the church crowd
we love the church crowd when they
celebrate
but not necessarily when they’re
complaining
but if we don’t get free from the crowd
we can end up
spending all of our time
trying to please people
and it’s robbing our time and our focus
and pleasing god
i’m telling you right now when you are
cuffed
to the crowd
it’s impossible for you to walk out your
calling with your creator let me say
that again if you are cuffed to the
crowd it is impossible for you to walk
out your calling
to
the
creator
crowds can be
complex
and what we see here with this woman
is we see
a crowd
now i need you to understand something
and i don’t have time to really explain
this
but
something was happening in
the crowd and i want to read this
passage of scripture to you in matthew
chapter 4 verse 23 it says jesus
traveled throughout the region of
galilee teaching in the synagogues and
announcing watch this now the good news
about the kingdom
the good news about the kingdom of god
now paul’s you may says well is kingdom
of king james word no let me explain
this real quick the word kingdom is
broken down into two words the king’s
domain now y’all hear me the king’s
domain now in the book of genesis when
you were created when god created man he
says what he says i want them to rule i
want them to be fruitful multiply subdue
and have dominion that word dominion is
the second half of the word kingdom are
y’all hearing what i’m saying right now
in other words when you see the word
kingdom it’s not about here it’s about
heaven
so when we pray the prayer at a football
game at a basketball game at a hockey
game just in the beginning it’s called
the lord’s prayer jesus said pray it
this way our father which art in heaven
hallowed be thy name thy
come thy will be
on where as it is in heaven boom so when
you see the word kingdom
you have to understand
that heaven is not just the place you’re
going to go to when you die
you can have heaven right now
what heaven is it’s the kingdom of god
being opened up to you as a god-fearing
believer so that you can transact as if
you’re in heaven not in heaven
in other words you don’t have to wait
till you get to church to have your kids
prayed for you can lay hands on your
children in the kitchen why when the
kingdom of heaven shows up
so when you see the word kingdom
jesus was he was the full embodiment of
the kingdom
pastor why are you saying that because
it’s going to be important for you to
understand how to get healed

it’s impossible to be cuffed to the
crowd
and cuffed to the kingdom
at the same time
heaven doesn’t exist for the crowd it
doesn’t exist for it doesn’t exist to
get a new car it doesn’t exist come on
somebody to get a new house it doesn’t
exist because sometimes favor can
produce what freedom can’t maintain if
you don’t have it
i have been a recipient of god’s favor
but had a private issue with pornography
behind closed doors and i’m wondering
the blessing of the lord make us rich
and add no sorrow why do i have sorrow
with something god blessed me with
because freedom is what maintains favor
y’all don’t hear what i’m saying right
now
freedom is what maintains favor not
friends
well i just got to be around the wrong
right people no you don’t
come on just got to be in the right
crowd no you don’t i just got to be in
the presence of the right people no if
you want to keep favor if you want to
keep freedom you got to be in the
presence of god you got to learn how to
worship

so jesus
in the full embodiment of the kingdom
now for y’all those of you who still
don’t get it when i came here
i live in west palm beach
i packed my luggage
because i was going somewhere
to deliver a message
from god
where was i going tulsa
i packed
something to deliver
something for god to love the world that
he gave his only begotten son that
whoever believes in him will not perish
but have eternal kingdom life
so when god
gave jesus
as a sacrifice isaiah even prophesied
this when he said and on his shoulders
shall be the government the government
of where the government of heaven come
on somebody so when jesus showed up as a
baby he packed a bag and inside of that
luggage was healing deliverance freedom
joy
and inside of that luggage is something
that he wants us to transact with so
jesus did not just come to do something
he came to drop off something

now you understand
crowds followed jesus
because they were getting healed
they were getting delivered
they were getting freed so it goes on to
say in matthew 4 it says and he healed
every kind of disease and illness
news about him spread as far as sylvia
syria and the people soon began bringing
him all of the people who were sick i’m
gonna skip down to verse 25. large
crowds followed him wherever he went
people from galilee the ten
towns jerusalem and all over judea and
from the east of the jordan they
followed him
and so on in other words
everywhere
that the kingdom goes
it is supposed to attract
crowds everywhere somebody say
everywhere
you’re you have influence and you don’t
even know why
you’ve gotten a raise and you think it’s
about a higher paycheck no it’s about an
upgrade in your purpose and in your
destiny i’m trying to tell you that
there is a greater purpose outside of
how it benefits you there is a kingdom
purpose and the fact that you are
attracting crowds
is a good thing
but we have to be careful
that influencers
don’t stay with their issues
because your issue if you’re an
influencer will become contagious and
the people you’re called to and
commissioned to will end up cuffed by
the same thing you’re cuffed about

so jesus is
preaching doing ministry
hey he’s
it’s a good it’s a good sermon
and
he gets in close proximity to a town
that has jairus
whose daughter
is sick

jairus is a synagogue leader
i’m trying to get you to see
where i went wrong
i was so busy building a church
with a big kids ministry
that i had no relationship with my kids
at home
and they were spiritually dying
because i had invited jesus to church
but not home
can i can i be real
can i yeah are y’all gonna judge me
are y’all gonna talk about i just feel
like that that
if we overcome by the blood of the lamb
and the word of our testimony i i might
as well start talking about it
and i just want to encourage you right
there some of y’all keep struggling with
the same thing because you ain’t talking
about what you already overcame
testimony requires talking and when you
start talking you rob the enemy of power
to remind you about something you’ve
already been talking about come on
somebody i once was blind but now i am
free i did it yep that used to be me but
he who the son sets free is free indeed

but
when i put myself
as a character in this woman’s story
i realized something
i’m not gyrus
i’m the woman
i had neglected
the presence of god
for so long
because i was more interested in the
presence of people
that i didn’t know how to take jesus to
my house
my physical house
or my spiritual house i’m talking to
some church leaders right now
i’m talking to some people some
volunteers in church i’m talking to
people who serve on served teams who are
bound
i want to let you know that doing work
for god is not a substitute of being
with god

and what happens is
what this scripture tells me
is that everybody
who’s in the crowd following jesus
is sick
preachers are sick
psalmists are sick
musicians
are sick
come on somebody
we all jacked up there is no degree of
sin we all
are
sick come on somebody we all are jacked
up we all are a little ratchet where
y’all at right now we all we all we all
sin and fall short of god’s glory we are
all in the crowd
i haven’t graduated from the crowd
but what we see
is when the crowd
goes by this woman’s house
she hears what’s going on
and it draws her
outside of her house

does not always have fans
your crowd has people who are hard to
forgive
because they’re sick
and diseased
your last pastor could be your crowd

some of us are still bothered by the
crowd who are dead and gone and treated
us wrong 50 years ago but because you
have not healed the crowd is not around
outside of your house but the crowd is
around inside of your head
has anybody’s head ever been crowded
crowded with past hurts crowded with
past doubts crowded with past
disappointments crowded with past fears
you’re 35 years old and your son uncle
inappropriately touched you when you
were five he’s dead and gone you’ve gone
to counseling you’ve tried but you’ve
still shrouded

to that
what i have discovered

is that my greatest misery
always points
to my greatest ministry

you’re called to the people who lied on
you you’re called to the people who you

in a crisis
i did a little research
and i’m not the smartest so i said hey

what’s a crisis
and syria says a crisis is a stage and a
sequence of events
at which the trend
of all future events
especially for better or worse
is determined
whoo
in other words if i’m in a crisis it
could go either way
it could go the christ way or the crowd
way
but i have to understand that my crisis
has the potential to invite christ come
on somebody two things that i’ve tried
to medicate on my own i’ve tried to
figure out on my own i’ve tried to solve
on my own but you haven’t tried jesus
yet
a crisis is a crash course and what
hurts you
for a new course and what’s supposed to
heal you

when i was studying for this message i i
read different versions of the scripture
and i love how the new king james
version says it now a certain woman
a certain woman
had a flow of blood for 12 years
now we can see when we read this passage
of scripture that she is not identified
by her god identity
she is not identified by her christ
identity she is identified by what the
crowd thinks about her issue

are y’all hearing what i’m saying
so they start seeing a woman with an
issue of blood as if they’re not also
sick and diseased

i dare you right now in the chat to put
if you got an issue i got an issue if
you’re in the room live right now i want
you to raise your hand it says i got an
issue and let me tell you something if
your hand ain’t raised and if you ain’t
typed it that could be your issue

this woman
has an issue
of blood
so we are certain
pastors leaders scholars
we are certain
that she is bleeding
but we’re uncertain where she’s broken
we are certain
that she has an issue
but we are uncertain
of her identity
we are certain
that she is chronic
but we are uncertain
of her calling
we are certain of her pain
but we are uncertain
of her purpose
y’all don’t hear what i’m saying we are
certain that she’s heard of jesus but
we’re uncertain if she has the strength
to get to him
uh has anybody ever been certainly
uncertain
i’m certain that everything is not right
about me but i’m uncertain if i really
want to do anything about it i’m certain
that i’m broken i’m certain that i’m
bleeding but i’m not uncertain come on
so but i’m uncertain that i have what it
takes to deal with this has anybody ever
been sick and tired of being sick and
tired but you’re too tired to do
anything about it i came to tell you
that the holy spirit right now is about
to fill you to give you energy to walk
out a process so that you can get to the
purpose and the destiny that god has for
you jeremiah says it this way i know the
plans i have for you declares the lord
plans to prosper you not to harm you to
give you a hurt and a hope and a future
not more hurts
i’m certainly
uncertain
i’m certainly
certain
that many people are going to hear this
message
but i’m uncertain if they’re going to do

praying about the issue you start saying

and you’re waiting for this diagnosis
you’re waiting for somebody to tell you
because if you don’t know
what it is
you could potentially treat the wrong
thing
the bible says
that she kept going to the doctor over
and over and over and over and over
again and she spent everything she had
and she only got
worse
why
because she was medicating the bleeding
but never addressing the brokenness

was covering up

and some of us we’re in a new
relationship but now we’re bleeding out
on the new relationship from the
injuries of the old relationship because
we keep trying to address the bleeding
not realizing that you gonna take you

you’re bleeding at work your co-workers
they love you they’re trying to invite
you out to hang out but you don’t trust
anybody because of something that
happened 25 years ago and you’re
bleeding on people you’re bleeding on
people at church you’re bleeding on
people in the mall you’re bleeding on
people in a grocery store and you’re
bleeding out
and you
start medicating it
see i i was wondering i said to myself
like god god give me a picture and the
lord showed me uh
me when i was coming up i was in middle
school and i played football i was
pretty good and i’m telling y’all i i
play real good football y’all i can’t
get my back is bad i’m old but i would
get down downstairs and i would go in
and i would i’d do all that stuff and i
was really good and all of a sudden
after one game my hip started hurting
but my dad was cuffed to the crowd
my dad said boy play
you’re good
everything’s going to be all right

these painkillers

the pain
they mask
the pain
that relationship you in right now

is you are covering up what god wants to
cover but he can’t get to it because
you’re medicating the wrong thing

i played a whole season injured
i went to the orthopedic specialist
and the doctor after he took the x-ray
looked at my dad and said how in the

could you
allow this boy
to keep playing football
but guess what three days before i went
to the appointment the doctor said this
don’t let him take any more painkillers
so i can see what’s really going on
some of y’all right now you’re like
pastor i don’t think you understand it
hurts so bad some of you saying i don’t
even know if i can take it i’m suicidal
and i’ve got anxiety and i’ve got grief
and i’m saying good because the father
is about to heal something when you stop
trying to medicate the thing that you
think is wrong it ain’t even about you
it’s about a sin that’s been passed down
to you

and the only way it got fixed

she was letting an experience
12 years ago
with people
keep her bound
from meeting jesus
a 12 year old experience

not because the same people are around
but the effects of what they did
is still around
it is impossible for you to confront the
crowd outside of your house until you
confront the crowd inside of your head
i i i i had to figure this out because
when i was watching a sporting event i
was watching the nba finals and there
was no crowd but then they set these
cardboard characters up
come on y’all
they had a fake crowd
and then they would pipe in crowd noise
uh-huh because the the the nba players
could not play with an empty stadium and
i started looking at me can i pray with
an empty stadium can i pray when it’s
not for a sermon can i seek god when
it’s just for me and not for a message
and i had to figure out i can’t because
i was crowded nobody was around but
there were fake characters
that were in my head
so they got tired of the fake characters
and they said this is not real
so they hired
computer
to come up with
computer generated images
and they started doing computer
generated crowds
and what they would do
is because of covet and the pandemic
restrictions
they would bring in about 20 000 uh they
were bringing about 20 people
to
to make it seem like
there were 20 000
in the crowd
they call this digital
duplicating
and what they do
is they take a character or a person and
they generate the image of that person
and then they duplicate that person and
put them all around the stadium so an
empty stadium looks like it’s crowded
that’s why you can be by yourself
and crowded
you can be sitting at home alone
and crowded
why
because you have not created digital
duplication you have created a
dysfunctional duplication
and the person that hurts you ain’t
around anymore but as soon as any thing
that resembles them
you start making up characters
because you are cuffed to a crowd
that you have no proximity to anymore
but they are living rent free in your
mind
because you
have never dealt
with this so i asked the team to help me

hurt when i was three and i watched the

to be anointed

he’s not around anymore

anything that resembles him
or what i looked at
gets duplicated

they’re not around anymore you’re like

my dad left my mom
and i have never had a good picture of
marriage
but now i don’t trust men
so i’m not going to get married
and i start duplicating
come on somebody
what happened and i am forming a crowd
that doesn’t really exist
inside of my head and it happens over
and over and over and over and over and
over again and i’m cuffed to the crowd
not the crowd outside of my house but
the crowd inside of my head
am i by myself

uh-huh see i’m old school ghetto boys i
keep looking over my shoulder and
peeping around corners
my mind is playing tricks on me

and now i can’t sleep i toss and turn
these crowds have me in anxiety these
crowds have me depressed these crowds
have me discouraged i can’t worship
because of the crowd i can’t do my
devotion because of the crowd nobody is
around but i hear fake come on a fake
crowd saying you’ll never be anything
because my third grade teacher told me i
was a failure
anybody ever been stifled by a crowd
i’m not talking about the crowd
this woman
she had
a 12 year old experience with people
allow those same people
to
her calling
because she was cuffed
to
the crowd
but she doesn’t stop there
i love
i’ve i’ve come to love my emotions
you see i grew up in the church where
if you cried you were weak
i i grew up in the church that says that
if you had doubts
you didn’t have faith
hey can i can i let you know something

a bad thing anxiety is an indicator some
of us are dealing with fear fear could
indicate that i’m not safe and something
has robbed my security doubt could
indicate that my trust has been violated
at some point depression could indicate
a loss of hope come on and bring a sense
of helplessness how about shame shame
could indicate that i have not forgiven
myself or not accepted god’s grace for a
former season grief grief could indicate
that i haven’t allowed myself to process
loss correctly discouragement could
indicate that i’m not where i should be
and i have regrets staying in sugar
water
but emotions
are not bad
emotions
are intuitive indicators
that it’s time to do something about it
y’all don’t hear what i’m saying so go
ahead anxiety try it’s just fueling me
that it’s time to do something about it
discouraged it’s time to do something
about it
i have come
to understand
that it is impossible
to have spiritual health without
emotional health
i need christ
and counseling
y’all don’t hear what i’m saying

i need to worship and do the work come
on somebody
y’all don’t hear what i’m trying to say
i believe that the altar call is amazing
i’m all for coming to the altar relaying
on hands but i have come to discover
that the altar doesn’t fix me it fuels

to go out and work out a process and i’m
telling you right now there are some of
you who are watching online and you said
this is good enough no no it’s not good
enough it’s giving you the energy to
walk through a process

is emotional health
is a commitment
to reality
at all costs
when i am emotionally healthy
what i’m saying is i have a commitment
to reality at all costs
when i am not emotionally healthy i

complain about it i’ll be discouraged
about it but emotional health says this
is going on
this is real and what’s coming up for me
is i’ve been betrayed and if it’s coming
up for you that you’ve been betrayed it
might be time to forgive

not for you to get more angry it’s not
for you to get more hurt it’s for you to
get uncuffed
because when you get uncuffed you’ll
uncuff the person from your hurt and
cuff them to the christ and the savior
of the one that can only set you free
that’s why scripture says if you don’t
forgive people on earth your god in
heaven can’t forgive you stop being mad
about it and start being mad to get a
miracle about it so that you can be out
in these streets forgiving people who
don’t deserve to be forgiven that’s why
jesus on the cross when the crowd said
crucify him he said father forgive them
for they don’t know that me forgiving
them and them doing what they’re doing
to me is a part of depopulating hell and
populating heaven

proximity but not being in his presence
i’m tired of experiencing him but not
encountering him i’ve got to get

in her head
she was able to confront the crowd
outside of her house
see those emotions they were
indicators

how to be angry and sit not
i can be angry and not cuss

and not fight i can be angry
and not convince myself
because my wife didn’t give me any
that i can go look at porn
as if i deserve it
oh i’m only talking about three people
right now i don’t think so

cause i spent
10 years of ministry being phony
my emotions are telling me it’s time to
do somebody
getting out of here
so this woman
after 12 years
she finds the courage to leave her house

and when i looked at the scripture i
read it for the first time
i read it like i read it for the first
time i’ve read the scripture a thousand
times i preached this message or this
passage a lot but i saw something
i i saw something that i’ve never seen
before in our main text
it says a woman in the crowd
had suffered
for 12 years
with constant bleeding
her bleeding didn’t stop
until she got
in the crowd
that’s why
the holy spirit landed on me that
between your crisis
and your creator
is a crowd
but most people want to go
from the crisis
right to the creator
now
i’ve got three kids and and they grew up
and they fell and got cut a lot when
they were kids
and my son was playing soccer one time
and he was pretty good because
i’m his daddy
and
he bit his tongue
to the point
where some of it was hanging
and i’ve never seen
so much blood in my life
and there was a nurse
in the stands
and she said if you want to stop the
bleeding
you must apply pressure

had to go
to the people
that were crowded
in her head
and apply
pressure
she had to do
life
with the people
who hurt her
because it applied
pressure
she couldn’t cut him off anymore because
she had to apply
pressure she had to forgive them because
she had to apply
pressure you can’t leave
something that you’re supposed to rump
up against to apply
pressure

i told y’all in the beginning
that i’ve been
married
for 23 years and it’s been about
the best
seven years ever
and y’all i’m over my time but pastor
mike told me to treat this like it’s my
church
and he preached two hours last week come
on somebody
and i listened to the whole thing
so pastor mike you’re gonna listen to
the whole thing
cause i ain’t scared of you little
brother
i’m telling y’all right now

i pastor the church
it got successful fast
and i prayed for something i couldn’t
handle come on
my once in a while prayer life couldn’t
handle that
my every now and again
visit
to a dark room to watch pornography
couldn’t handle that
so i got cuffed
to the crowd
when i was behind the pulpit
only place i felt value was here
the only time i felt celebrated was here
i would preach and run to the green room
to go scroll on instagram to see who’s
following me and who’s liking me and and
and did i preach and did they share my
clip

the issue
this was the bleeding
i was bleeding on congregations
i was preaching
to thousands around the world
but couldn’t talk to the one i laid next
to every night
i built a great church
but my house was silent
i could communicate with a mic in my
hand
but not about a meal at night
i come to find out

that if you win at the wrong thing
you will lose at the right thing
i was winning at church but losing at
home
and because i wasn’t pastoring my house
alcohol started pastoring my house
my wife
that one drink
to calm the nerves
turned into
two drinks
turned into us fighting about
are you drunk or are you tired
it made me look at me
i was so emotionally sick
i thought she was drinking at me
the story i made up in my head
the crowd that i had in my head
started to come back from my childhood
from my third grade teacher that told me
i wasn’t good enough
my wife
pressing up against me
was perpetuating
the people that hurt me before i even
knew her name
i was certainly uncertain
i’ll never forget
my oldest daughter was
11 or 12 at the time
i was at a pastor’s gathering
because that was a big deal
she texts me a picture of
mom
in the bathroom
and she said dad why is mom sleeping in
the bathroom
mom wasn’t sleeping
mom was passed out
because dad had kept passing her over
someone who dealt with pornography every
now and then was playing out his
fantasies on his wife
a pastor
a leader and i know we’re going to get
the comments well how in the world did
you keep leading your church
i didn’t
the fights
were horrendous
and i’ll never forget we’re two years
into planning our church and
i walk out to preach easter
3 000 people are there
there are another 3 000 people out on
the football stadium
because white people had told me to drop
easter eggs from a helicopter

i did it it worked thank you
but what
what they didn’t know
is that the first time i saw my wife
in two weeks
was that easter service
on the front row
i didn’t even talk to her 555 people
gave their life to christ that day
and i went back to the green room
and for the first time
i felt uncuffed from the crowd
i didn’t care about the numbers
cared about her
and i called
i passed a friend and another
overseer and
i said i can’t do this anymore
enough is enough
i’m tired of being phony
see the crowd in my head
they wanted to be let out they were
tired of being there
can only be honest with you
i couldn’t preach anymore i couldn’t
i couldn’t pray anymore
i exposed myself
so that i didn’t have to be exposed
what i’ve come to find out
that if you don’t deal with it
it will deal with you
i was tired of punching holes in the
wall
i was tired of calling my wife out of
her name and then calling altar calls
i told my pastor friend i’m done
i told my overseer i’m done
and i stepped away
i took off a whole year
my good friend pastor victor ihamery
pastors the well church in
rockville maryland
he was on my staff and
him and
pastor steve ran our church
for a year
while we went away to get healthy
it grew without me
and what the holy spirit was telling me
is you’re not a big deal
i don’t need you to bless the people
and during that year i fell
out of love
with the crowd
and back in love with my calling
my first calling
my family
during that year my wife
went to rehab for 45 days and i was a
single dad
i said uh
do you think god can still use me
i’m tempted sometimes
i sat in counseling
and my counselor i said i’m done i can’t
do this because in my head the crowd
even though i wanted to be healed the
crowd was still talking to me

i didn’t need to look at anything new
that card catalog was right here that i
could pull up that file so easy wow
and i would pray this prayer every day i
said god
help me to have covenant with my eyes
that they only desire the body of my
wife
i was cuffed to a crowd
that i had played out in my fantasy
but i wanted to get well
yeah
and i sat in that counseling session and
i just decided it was better for me
to cheat on her
in my crazy making
in my awfulizing
in my stupidity
in my weirdness
i wanted it to be my fault
and not her fault
because to me
not being able to manage my family
was worse than cheating on my wife

why because i was insecure
i was insecure because i grew up
overweight
girls weren’t attracted to me when i was
younger
but now i’m on a stage
now i can get a shape up before i preach
now models are in my dms
[Music]
but i wanted to maybe i wanted to get
well yeah
i remember
my wife
coming home
from rehab
and before she came home my last
counseling session i had told the
counselor i can’t do this
if i stay and she drinks again
i’m gonna lose my mind
i’m gonna lose my church
if i leave
i’m gonna lose myself
have you ever been confronted with the
truth of two realities
have you ever been at war with holiness
and humanity
i want to be holy paul said i want to do
the things the things that i i shouldn’t
do i find myself doing the things that
i’m not supposed what is going on
he says stop medicating it let it hurt
and the council said you can’t leave her
i said why
she said because if you leave
the new irene
won’t get a chance to heal the wounds
that the old irene
crowded you with
what
i called a pastor friend and he said

he he’s 14 or 15 years younger than me
he’ll still call me out
i’ll still call him out
i never forget one time he called me he
said get over yourself
and what he told me to do
i went and did
and god has blessed it and healed it
that’s a whole nother situation
i had another friend pastor travis green
recently
i was facing some issues with some
friends
and he said this
you can either be petty or walk in favor
but you can’t do both
yeah there are some real god-fearing men
who are out there who are holding each
other accountable i don’t care what you
think about church but i want to let you
know the friends that i have ain’t gonna
let me get behind this microphone fake
and phony no more it still exists

until you love

i said even in her sickness he said love

most of us are cuffed
is because we have an uncuffed
somebody who hurt us
and you will always be tied to and
tormented by

i’m preaching to somebody right now
but they don’t deserve it neither did

she comes home and
we start
picking up the pieces this year two
of being off
not preaching
not traveling
i asked my pastor said
do you think i’ll ever
be able to lead again
he said yeah when you don’t need it
he said
you can’t come back
if you still want it
i was so in love with the bride of
christ i fell out of love with my bride
and he said and for two years i fell
back in love
with my pride
we went to counseling
in our marriage
we took our kids
we worshiped
together
guess what
i got a new crowd

and what happened
during that time
god begin to turn my greatest misery
into what is now my ministry
a year ago
i stepped away
from what i thought was success
i shocked my friends
i’ll never forget when i called pastor
mike and said hey man i’m quitting
he said what you mean
i said i feel called
to help pastors
and leaders
and athletes
and business people
get their marriage back together
will you hire me if it don’t work out
because i fell
out of love
with the crowd
that i preached to
and fell in love
with the crowd i slept next to

imaginations and i start prophesying and
when i prophesy to the nine-year-old the
crowd of the pictures that he watched
begin to get erased by the blood of
jesus no longer is the 47 year old
bleeding because i pleaded the blood
over the nine-year-old

and visit where it happened
i went to a counseling session
i walked into counseling session i went
to an intensive for a week i walked into
a counseling session
and the counselor had been taking notes
all week
and she had
a marker
and when i walked into the counseling
session the walls were full of the
biggest post-it notes i’d ever said i’ve
ever seen and every negative word every
situation was all around the room
and she says today
we’re going to break the stronghold
and what has been crowding you
is going to be what you’re called to
and it’s no longer going to you
and we begin to pray we begin to
intercede and when we begin to prophesy
she handed me a red marker charles and
made me speak a word over every negative
word and made me plead the blood of
jesus over everything i’m telling you
that the blood has not lost its power
i’m telling you right now that we need a
generation that knows that is nothing
but the blood of jesus what can make me
white as snow nothing but the blood of
jesus oh precious is the flow that wash
me white as snow
no other felt i know
and i begin
you’re fearfully wonderful man
you are the head and not the tail you
are above and not beneath no weapon
formed against you is going to prosper
without a vision people perish and i
started canceling the assignment of the
enemy and i took that nine-year-old boy
by the hand and i began to drag him
through seasons and i said come on don’t
look at that and i said come on you
don’t need that and i brought him all
the way into who i am today and i am
standing here
150 pounds lighter
because i got uncuffed from comfort

and my wife
in november will celebrate seven years
of sobriety somebody better say look
what the lord has

stopped
because i pressed up against the person
i didn’t leave her
