at some point you got to decide that I’m

not going to sip on the Milk of the word

my whole life I need some meat because

I’m mature I’ve grown up I need some

strength the joy of the Lord is your

strength put on the full armor of

God so that you may be able to stand

firm against the schemes of the devil

Gideon and God have the same enemy and

yes they have have the same victory in

mind but their weapons were not able to

be fully manifested until Gideon and God

had the same sword and I want somebody

in this room to understand that the last

piece that you have been waiting for is

the sword of the

spirit you are children with

power and I’m saying to you what a shame

it would be what a travesty it would be

for the enemy to believe more about your

potential than you

do because you need to know that even if

you are not convinced about what it is

that the word of God declares to be true

about you even if you’re not sure about

the nuances of your inheritance as a

coair to the kingdom of God even if you

are convinced that you have rights and

privileges that you have access to the

throne room of God as the scripture says

even if you are convinced you need to

know that the enemy

is

he knows who you are he knows that you

have been made competent by the spirit

of God he knows that you have been

qualified he knows that you are already

forgiven he knows that you’ve already

been made free he knows that there is

therefore now no condemnation for those

of us who are in Christ Jesus he knows

that he can form a weapon against you

but that that weapon has absolutely no

possibility of prospering in your life

he knows that in the end we

win what a shamed it would be for him to

believe more about your power than you

do and I believe at least in part that

is why the Apostle Paul writes to us in

the book of

Ephesians now y’all know the Apostle

Paul was a bad brother he wrote letter

after letter to the first century

Christian churches to make sure they

knew who they were to disciple them to M

mature them to bring them into full

knowledge and awareness of what it would

mean to be in relationship with Jesus

Christ and of all of Paul’s writings

which gives us about 2third of our new

testament Scholars say that the Pinnacle

of all of Paul’s writing the cherry on

top of the cake really the creme delrem

of all the Apostle wrote to us really

Ephesians is that cherry on top of the

cake and part of the reason why is

because of the six chapters he spends

more than the first half of the book

just telling you who you are I mean he

keeps tripping over himself with robust

language to try to communicate to the

people of God the power that they have

access to by virtue of their

relationship with Jesus he wants you to

know that you have been blessed with

every spiritual blessing he’s going to

tell you that God’s Grace has been

lavishly poured out upon you he wants

you to know in the first and second

chapter That You Are Holy and blameless

and forgiven and that you are free oh if

you haven’t taken time to read it read

through the book of Ephesians because

it’s going to tell you that you are a

coair with a hefty spiritual inheritance

he wants you to know that even if you’ve

been rejected by everybody else your God

has hand picked hand selected you chosen

you adopted you grafted you into the

family of

God he wants you to know you’ve been

snatched out of darkness and flung Into

His Marvelous Light he’s going to trip

over himself to make sure you know that

you once were dead in your trespasses

and in your sins but you’ve now been

made alive together with Jesus Christ he

wants you to know that you are his

workmanship you’re a masterpiece a piece

of art recreated in Christ Jesus for

good work so that you can walk in them

in fact the Apostle Paul y’all he gets

so worked up trying to make sure we know

how powerful we are that before he even

gets through the first chapter he bursts

out in a prayer and says I’m praying

that the eyes of your heart would be

opened because if you would just know

the hope of his calling and choosing you

the riches that have been made available

to you it’s going to change the course

of your

life so he spills over himself going

over and over trying to figure out how

do I make sure the Believers know who

they are so they can walk in some

semblance of Victory and freedom as they

live the Abundant Life to which they

have been

Commissioned I want you to see the

Apostle Paul writing this letter he is

in a Roman prison at the time probably

on house arrest see the Apostle Paul in

your mind’s eye sitting on the cold hard

floor of his cell trying to figure out

the right words under the inspiration of

the Holy Spirit to make sure that this s

sacred text communicates exactly what it

should and he gets to the end of this

letter having given us all this robust

language about our inheritance and our

power and our potential in Jesus Christ

and he’s trying to figure out how do I

close this

letter how do I make sure that they

don’t get tripped up up that they live

in the victory that is there see the

Apostle Paul sitting on that cold floor

hanging over his parchment paper ink

quill in hand waiting for the

inspiration of the Holy Spirit to figure

out how do I put an exclamation point on

this

letter how do I make sure that they will

walk in Victory all the days of their

life how do I make sure to close this

thing with such Clarity and such power

that they will know at the end of this

letter and at the end of this

era they’ve been called to walk in

Victory picture the possibility that he

looks up from his parchment paper his

Roman cell and he looks up to see two

Roman

soldiers standing right outside of the

doorway post it up to make sure their

prisoner stays put and he would have

seen the RO Roman soldiers equipped in

their Roman

regalia and then he CFT these

words in Ephesians chapter

6 verse

10 he

says

finally

in

conclusion in the very

end after you’ve heard so much and I’ve

written so much and I’ve entrusted so

much to you and I’ve explained so much

after all these messages and all this

teaching and all this seed that has been

planted into the soil of our hearts

after all has been entrusted to us after

everything we’ve gotten from a co-pastor

Susie Owens and a Cheryl bra and a

Bishop Jake and a Serita Jake and a

Cynthia James and and a Jackie Mulla

after our lives have been poured into

for 30 strong

years the Apostle Paul says

finally you ought to be strong in the

Lord and in the strength of his

might the Apostle Paul says be

strong get some spiritual meat on your

bones be fortified in your faith don’t

you dare leave 30 years of ministry and

walk out of these doors and be weak

willed women pulled aside by every new

age ideology and philosophy of our

culture be

strong don’t you dare walk out of these

doors and be pulled aside by every

impulse of the flesh be

strong be strong in the Lord and in the

strength of his might we’ve been too

filled up and too blessed and taught

beyond what we deserve people have

poured their lives into us we better

leave here and be

strong y’all we can’t keep waiting on

other people to spoon feed us the word

of God our entire

lives we got to grow up and be strong at

some point you got to decide that I’m

not going to sip on the Milk of the word

my whole life I need some meat because

I’m mature I’ve grown up I need some

strength and I believe that part of the

reason why the Lord has allowed you and

I this privilege to be a part of this

final woman th art loose is because for

so many of us that are in this room

these 72 hours is about getting you your

strength

back to remind you that the joy of the

Lord is your

strength Paul says finally you be strong

in the Lord and in the strength of his

might and he says here’s how you’re

going to be able to do

it put put on the full armor of

God so that you may be able to stand

firm against the schemes somebody say

schemes schemes come on y’all say

schemes sches you got to stand firm

against the schemes of the

devil for we wrestle not against flesh

and blood but against the rulers against

the powers against the world forces of

this Darkness against the spiritual

forces of wickedness that are in the

Heavenly places therefore you ought to

go ahead and put down all the weapons

that haven’t been working for you anyway

and take up some weapons that actually

have

power take up the full armor of God so

that you can stand in the evil day and

having done everything to stand firm

stand firm

therefore the Apostle Paul tells us how

to walk in Victory to remember that

we’re not just children but we’re

children with power and he introduces

for us in these three verses almost for

the very first time at least this

overtly in the context of the New

Testament it’s been inferred throughout

the new the Old Testament and at

different places throughout the new but

this is the very first time that

somebody comes right out Point Blank and

says you have an

enemy and your

enemy listen to me me this is a

revelation that’s going to change

somebody’s

life your enemy is not the person that

you’re sitting next to this

morning you’re going to need a sword of

the spirit the sword that he’s referring

to is not the three foot long sword that

we most picture no this is a 12 in

dagger he says you’re going to need a

dagger of the spirit it was reserved for

when the enemy encroached beyond the

first lines of defense and the enemy was

in close combat he’s all up in your face

he says for the moments in life when

you’re encroached upon by the enemy

you’re going to need something to make

sure that you save off the enemy you

need a dagger of the

spirit and that dagger is the word of

God when the angel of the Lord comes to

Gideon he’s threshing wheat in a wine

press

a wine

press looks like the only way I can

explain is it looks like a giant

well that a person can fit inside of and

the well is so large and so deep that

Gideon could get in there with the wheat

and he can begin to thresh the wheat

without anyone seeing

it so when God calls him a mighty man of

Valor even though he is going through an

oppression the reason he calls him a

mighty man of Valor is because he has

not allowed the oppression to steal his

Harvest oh

gosh when God finds this Mighty Man in

Valor Gideon he is engaged in an act of

resistance against his oppression if his

oppressor says whatever you grow we’re

going to take he says you cannot have my

Harvest so I’m going to find a way to

make sure my Harvest is protected I’m

still oppressed nothing has changed but

I still have faith that there is

something about what God is producing

through me that is worth protecting

regardless of what’s happening around me

I want to talk to some people in this

room who have been engaged in an act of

resistance you have not gotten the

Breakthrough that you think you need to

have yet you don’t have the freedom that

you want to walk in yet but the very

fact that you are in this room on a

Wednesday night is an act of resistance

against your oppression the reason why

God chooses Gideon because Gideon

engages in an act of resistance against

his oppression I may not know God where

God is in the midst of it all but I feel

like I got just a little bit of

something worth protecting I know they

may have taken almost everything from me

but I still feel like I got a little

something worth protecting I know they

walked away from me and I don’t have the

resources but I feel like I got a little

something worth protecting and because

you are engaged in an act of resistance

against your opposition I hear God

saying that we can partner together

because we have the same enemy we’ve got

to see there’s nothing like having the

same enemy that God has when you and God

have the same enemy I can take your

resistance and we can work out the faith

on the background but we got the same

Target we’ve got the same opponent we’ve

got the same devil we want to slay you

want to break that generational curse

guess what God wants to break it too you

don’t know how you’re going to do it and

you don’t know if God is with you but

you’re acting like God is with you

anyway you’re moving like you got

Harvest anyway you’re moving like you

got something to work with in spite of

the fact that you’re not sure if it’s

enough to produce breakthrough but I

hear God saying if you keep working like

you’re working I’m going to take what

you’re working with and I’m going to add

what I’m working with and I’m going to

partner with you to take that opposition

down I wish I had some people in this

room and I know we’re not supposed to be

having Church we’re supposed to be

having Bible study but when you lift

your hands and worship it is an act of

resistance against the enemy when you

lift your hands and declare that it is

well in your soul it’s an act of

resistance against the enemy I will not

let oppression have the final say matter

of fact depression can’t have it either

matter of fact heartbreak can’t have it

either you can’t have the final say My

Worship is an act of resistance my

writing is an act of resistance my

prayer is an act of

resistance it’s not that it’s working

out but I’m going to work like it’s

already working out I’m going to work

like I still got Harvest I’m going to

work like the enemy meant it for evil

but God meant it for good I’m going to

work even if I got to work at night even

if I got to work in hiding sometimes you

can’t let your enemy know what your

God’s got protected in your

[Applause]

Harvest

buddy God

says God says to Gideon you want to

protect your Harvest I want to protect

my Harvest too you are the Harvest of

God you’re trying to protect your gift

and your talent you’re trying to protect

your future God says you are my Harvest

you are the thing that I put in the

earth to sustain what I want to do

through the kingdom of heaven and while

you’re trying to protect it God’s trying

to protect you Gideon and God can get on

the same page cuz they both got Harvest

to protect I wish I would have known

that I still had Harvest but maybe my

life could be a reminder to somebody

that you still got Harvest I know you’ve

been through hell I know they tried to

take it from you but baby your faith is

Harvest baby your worship is still

Harvest

you’re not still got it I still got it I

dare you to nudge somebody say you still

got it I dare you to push somebody and

let them know you still got it you still

got it you still got it you still got it

you still got it you still got it you

still anointed you’re still talented you

still gifted you still got power you

still got anointing you still got

strategy you still got creativity you

still got Innovation I don’t know where

you are Viper but your ministry has not

seen it’s best days yet I hear God

saying there’s going to be a fresh wind

that blows in your city a fresh wind

that blows in your house you still got

it you still got it you still got it you

still got it you still got it you still

got it for this marriage you still got

it for this

child you still got it don’t get tired

don’t quit don’t give up you may have to

change the way you move but don’t stop

moving you may have to change the way

you function but don’t stop functioning

you still got

it and judges

seven when his enemy has a

dream he says I see a loaf of

bread says I see a loaf of bread coming

for the tent come on JDS I see a loaf of

bread in Judges 7 he

says that he has this Vision I had a

dream and to my surprise a loaf of

barley bread tumbled into the

camp a loaf of barley

bread The Barley bread is what’s left

after the

threshing it looks like one small

insignificant piece of bread but this

man has a vision that this one piece of

bread when it got finished with the

threshing was going to be enough to

destroy every tent that the m KN nightes

had it was going to be enough to destroy

every piece of utility and Armory that

they had this one piece of bread this

one man named

Gideon when God gets

finished with this process we see in

judges

6 where he says if you’re really God

then set this altar on fire if you’re

really God then dry this out he wasn’t

questioning God he was going through the

threshing process so that God could show

him who he really is so that when he

hears that this man sees a piece of

bread he recognizes the power of being a

piece of bread in God’s strategic plan

if we had time we could go on over into

the New Testament and we could talk

about being the bread of life and how

the bread of life would ultimately be

what redeems us all but we don’t have

time to talk about it so what I will say

instead is that yes Gideon and God have

the same enemy and yes they have the

same victory in mind but their weapons

were not able to be fully manifested

until Gideon and God had the same sword

and I want somebody in this room to

understand that the last piece that you

have been waiting for is the sword of

the spirit to go up against your enemy I

love this text so much because when we

start with Gideon he doesn’t even

believe that God could really be talking

to him but when it’s time for him to

overtake the camp he says to tell your

enemies that the sword of the Lord and

of Gideon the sword of the Lord that

means I have become a full partner with

God that means that I have come into

alignment with what God wants to do in

my life and now I’m ready to use the

sword that God gave me you think your

sword is a metal piece no no no the

sword that God gave

Gideon was not the kind of sword that we

have in

mind

Jesus tells Peter when he cuts the ear

off of the Roman soldier he says put

your sword

away because if you use your sword then

I won’t be able to get my sword into the

picture until you and God have the same

sword you may mess up the very strategy

that God has in mind for your life you

have the same enemy you want the same

Victory but have you been using the same

sword I hear God saying that it’s not

going to be by might and it’s not going

to be by power but by my spirit says the

Lord my spirit is going to get it done

the sword of the spirit is going to make

the difference God how are we going to

take a conference from 3,000 women to

50,000 women God says you’re worried

about the wrong things just worry about

becoming and let your sword do the rest

the sword of the spirit says there’s a

generation of women who are going to

fill up that stadium and they will

wonder is it Beyonce and they will

wonder is it the Super Bowl and they

will wonder is it the World Series no

baby it is the glory series it is women

coming together to declare war on hell

they will wonder how did it happen in

your business how did it happen in your

family and it will be the sword of the

spirit
