let’s get into the word let’s get into
the word god is so good we’re gonna be
reading a lot of scriptures maybe a
hundred okay but they were gonna kick
off in mark 5 21 to 36 and they were
gonna jump into Hebrews really quick but
let’s start with mark 5 and the Word of
God says now when Jesus had crossed over
again by boat to the other side a great
multitude gathered to him and he was by
the sea and behold one of the rulers of
the synagogue came Jarius by name and
when he saw him he fell at his feet and
begged him earnestly saying my little
daughter lies too at the point of death
come and lay your hands on her that she
may be healed and she will live so Jesus
went with him and the great multitude
followed him and thronged him now a
certain woman had a flow of blood for 12
years and had suffered many things from
many physicians she had spent all that
she had and was no better but rather
grew worse when she heard about Jesus
she came behind him in the crowd and
touched his garment for she said if only
I may touch his clothes I shall be made
well immediately the fountain of her
blood was dried up and she felt in her
body that she was healed of her
affliction and Jesus and Jesus
immediately knowing in himself that
power had gone out of him turned around
in the crowd and said who touched my
clothes but his disciples said to him
you see the multitude thronging you and
you say who touched me and he looked
around to see her who had done this
thing but the woman fearing and
trembling knowing what had happened to
her came and fell down before him and
told him the whole truth and he said to
her daughter your faith has made you
well go in peace and be healed of your
action while he the scripture would
preach for itself so I’m gonna take it a
different direction while he was still
speaking some came from the ruler of the
synagogue’s house and said your daughter
is dead why trouble the teacher any
further as soon as Jesus heard the word
that was spoken he said to the ruler of
the synagogue do not be afraid only
believe in Hebrews 10:35 it tells us
therefore do not cast away confidence
which has great reward family while
you’re standing let us pray Heavenly
Father we thank you for this very day we
thank you for this moment that we are
standing in we thank you Lord God
because you have a point at this moment
Lord that I thank you for the word that
you have for all your people included
myself Lord may you help me to speak it
the way you showed it to me
we thank you Lord Holy Spirit have your
way for everyone listening everyone here
everyone watching Lord have your way
made this word to speak to them in a way
that is unique to where they are right
this very moment in Jesus mighty name
amen family you may be seated
if you’re taking notes I’ve titled this
message the posture of Prayer you know
there are many things that we can speak
on you know honestly and every time
we’re here together the time that we
have will never be enough to go into the
layers of the text that we read and so
what I’m gonna do by the grace of God is
to really just pinpoint the things that
God has shown me for this very moment
you see I read the scripture and the one
thing that I see that was you know just
kind of like throughout the test the
text is expectation and when I’m
speaking about the posture of Prayer
what I’m really gonna highlight is
expectation you see last week I went on
a sabbatical within the trip getaway and
initially when I was making my plans I
remember it was like I’ve been trying to
plan this from like end of last year and
whatnot and I was like you know maybe
this would be a birthday trip I can go
to Miami
eat some Cuban food and dance through
the Cubans and all of a sudden you know
I kept feeling the Lord telling me you
know go on a vacation with me I said you
know what Lord that’s alright I’m I
don’t know if I could do that in Miami
but but maybe I could go to Hawaii or
somewhere you know just amazing and then
all of a sudden I hear so clearly and
the Lord tells me meet me in Seattle I
said see ya what is in Seattle it’s cold
I don’t know anybody out there and I
hear that so clearly meet me in Seattle
and I said wow God I don’t know whose
vacation this is if it’s mine or yours
and I ended up you know outside I said
okay well I guess we’re gonna go to
Seattle and I have this I’m like God
that has to be something in Seattle and
they were so able to make matters worse
when we checked the weather
it was raining the whole week I would be
there I said at least God
you know just give me some sunshine or
something and so I booked my flight I go
to see how to thank God that I had some
days where you know it was not really
sunny it was cold but it wasn’t raining
and so I’m out there and to be honest
the days go by and I’m like God we could
have done this in Hawaii okay but there
was a moment where all of a sudden like
so I did an Airbnb an Airbnb they have
these like Airbnb experience things and
things to do in the city and there was
one particular thing that the Holy
Spirit told me to do so it was to hike
the Snoqualmie Falls and now that would
all be cool you know that would be fine
let me get some you know activity in my
body and every day that I’m there from
Monday through Friday every day that I’m
trying to get you know go to this thing
the Holy Spirit says not today not today
and then on Thursday he says booked it
for tomorrow and I’m like okay you know
I leave tomorrow but that should work
and so I’m booking it so I checked the
weather it’s raining on the Friday and
I’m like okay maybe the Lord will also
be generous on this day and give me some
kind of Sun so I booked it
Friday morning it’s pouring rain I said
you want me to hike in the rain I said
what a vacation guy and so I haven’t
going hiking with a like this guide who
were kind of like show me around and
it’s the bike would literally be like a
two-hour hike and I’m like so we’re
gonna do this in the rain and all I have
is an umbrella alright so I go I meet
this lady I have my umbrella she’s like
you know what you’re crazy to want to
hike in this weather but I’m with it I
said these I’m set I have my umbrella
and she looked at me crazy like the wind
is gonna blow that thing out so she kiss
me she gives me like this poncho and we
wear the poncho I’m ready I’m like
alright let’s do this thing we go into
like so we’re doing this hike it’s
raining and it’s snowing the snow made
me a little happy because I’ve never
experienced snow and I was like oh great
you know I guess some snow but at some
point I was over it do you know like I
said outside of the photos and this
moment the moment is over I’m ready to
go home and I’m like god why am I here
like why am I here but I still have this
expectation of God so let me know what
I’m doing in the rain and the coat every
time I bring my hands on my jacket it
freezes I’m trying to warm myself up and
all of a sudden went finally after two
hours or so we’re coming back down
because it’s huge I don’t know who
anyone from Seattle I love your city in
the summer but yes so we’re coming down
and all of a sudden the Holy Spirit says
this is why you’re here and it was about
the woman and he says I want you to
speak to her about me and then it hit me
because the woman had told me earlier
that because of the weather no one else
wanted to take this day
and so not only would it be a moment
where it’s just of two of us cuz if
there’s a crowd of people I mean the
conversation at some point would be
changed you know someone loves to bring
up something maybe a gummy bear or
something
and so he says talk to her about me and
I’m wondering I’m like God how do I
bring you up you know we’re hiking she’s
from Denmark I’m not sure how we find a
common ground here and in a very just
unsubtle way I said you know what in
Seattle they don’t really talk about God
what do you believe and she looks at me
like really yeah I know
[Laughter]
and so we start this conversation we
start this conversation she tells me
about her background there you know her
parents were Christian but she never
understood it because the way they
presented it to her was you know what
Jesus is Lord believe in him trust in
him if not you know good luck to you and
so because of that she was never sure
about you know why is Jesus Lord so she
ended up dabbling in so many other
things and all along she’s searching for
the truth but what her search has
questions there were questions that she
had for God and she was waiting for how
I need these questions and said if I’m
going to open my heart to Jesus you see
something I’ve learnt about God is that
every attribute of God speaks to how
someone can encounter him there are
times that people can encounter God
because of his love his love draws us in
but there are people who encountered God
because of his judgment in the book of
Acts there was a man I believe it’s acts
13 there was a time where the Apostle
Paul he’s going he’s he know he’s on
assignment he’s about to preach the
gospel to someone and then this person
comes out he called himself by Jesus and
he was a false prophet and he comes to
oppose the Apostle Paul and the Apostle
Paul recognizes I recognize that your
mission is from the enemy and by the
power of that by the power of the Holy
Spirit he looks at this man and he says
the Lord is against you it was the
judgment of God
said you will be blind for a time in
that moment it was the judgment of God
that made him blind but it was in his
blindness that he repented and he
followed God so there are different
attributes to God that causes people to
be drawn to him and one of it that we
rarely talk about is the wisdom of God
there are people that have questions
about the faith and it is when we are
able to give them answers that are
inspired by the Holy Spirit that all of
a sudden their hearts are open to God
what we often do is that someone has
questions and we say you know what
you’re just in your pride you’re down in
the Lord you need to just humble
yourself but the Lord is a God of wisdom
there is no question that he doesn’t
have an answer to but who would seek Him
and say God I there are these common
questions amongst atheists there are
these common questions amongst people
that say I don’t want to believe in a
Jesus like that God can you give me the
revelation for it because when you’re
able to articulate it to them there is
something about that that would draw
them and open up their hearts to Jesus
so this woman had many questions that
were left unanswered when she would ask
people about certain things that you
know made her I’m conflicted in her
faith they will give her the generic
answer if you just have to trust God and
believe that he is and she said I hear
you
but I don’t know how to open my heart to
someone when I have these questions that
are left unanswered and so we literally
have this two hour plus conversation
match the hike experience about God and
she’s asking these questions and all and
the revelation for these questions and
things that I’ve been sitting with God
about I’m like wow this is such an
ordained moment and all of a sudden she
she opens up to me and tells me that the
day before someone gave her a book and
the book was about Jesus and she said I
don’t read Christian books but something
about this book made me hold on to it
and she’s like all of a sudden you’re
here and you’re talking to me about
Jesus and you’re answering and here is
the kicker
she said you’re answering questions that
I have asked God for 20 years now the
interesting thing I realized was after a
while I said God well twenty years is a
long time okay you know and she dabbled
in so many things and the Lord began to
show me that I wanted her to know who I
was not before she recognises Who I am
now this woman for 20 years she has
these questions but she’s still open she
still has an expectation that God I want
to know who you are she told me that
she’s always troubled in her spirit
because she feels like I want to know
what is the truth and so for 20 years
and in this moment she’s like it feels
like this moment is what I have been
waiting for for 20 years and what later
dawned on me is that when I begin to
think about it I said 20 years ago God
that’s when you encountered me for the
first time 20 years ago is when I gave
my life to you so it’s not just a moment
where I see how much you care about the
one that you sent me to become a City of
Seattle for this one lady because there
was a moment that you already ordained
that once this that in this moment it is
pregnant with the things that she has
been searching for but what I also
realized is that that moment was
pregnant with something for me because
in that moment when I said God the
answer to her question was in me and
when she began asking you these
questions was the moment you started
developing me so 20 years ago she has
these questions about who are you lord
jesus who are you God they’re questions
I have for you and unless you answer me
I am NOT going to follow you in the same
year you encounter me and you talk to me
about my life and you talk to me that
you’ve called me for your for your
kingdom and so when I began to think
about it I said wow her expectation
never left her and my expectation for
God why am I here never left me
and in our expectation we were able to
meet and God moves so powerfully you see
this reminded me of the woman with the
issue of blood because for 12 years this
woman had an affliction when her
problems started
Jesus was already on the earth but he
was not yet revealed when she was going
from physician to this physician and it
was not even getting better it was not
even looking like okay maybe there could
be hope in this manner the only thing
that she was knowledgeable about was not
working for her but she never lost her
faith she never lost her hope and then
you have this moment where she hears
about Jesus and she does not allow the
past reports from physicians that show
that this is not gonna work and it looks
like this may never get better because
every time you’ve tried it only got
worse but when she hears about Jesus her
faith is still so potent that in that
moment she tells herself you know what
only if I could touch his garments I
will be made whole what the experience
never diluted the fact that I am
believing for something she never
allowed the years that were put upon her
affliction to define her as what she was
dealing with she said God I’m gonna
believe in you I’m gonna trust in you
that I stopped one day the answer for my
problem I would need it you see in that
moment she touches the hem of Jesus
garment and the Bible tells us that
power left him but what is so
fascinating because every time I read
something there are so many questions I
have for God because another thing is
that but why did it have to take this
long why did they have to take 12 years
and the Lord said that showed me that in
the same way you see why not during my
trip in Seattle there were things that
God’s that are revealing to me about
what he’s calling me to do in this
season and what he was what some of the
things he revealed to me are things that
are very foreign to me it’s places I’ve
never really walked in
things that I’m not really familiar with
but in the same way that he told me to
go to a city that I know nobody a place
that is foreign to me and then he
reveals in that moment that no there is
an assignment here I will never send you
anywhere and it is random I would never
send you anywhere and it’s without
purpose that in that moment because my
interaction with that lady it gave me
strength for the things that God spoke
to me and so it was not just about her
she also had something to give me
because in recognizing that God you
orchestrated this and so in the same way
when you send me to foreign places and
foreign industries that you have a plan
for me you see in this this lady with
the issue of blood for 12 years what she
did not realize is that when her
infirmity started that in the 12 years
to come that a man named gyrus will be
banking on her story so have faith for
his daughter to come back to life you
see the Bible tells us that first of all
Jesus is having a interaction with this
man gyrus and he’s telling the Lord he
said Lord if you can just lay your hand
on my daughter she’s sick but if you lay
your hand on her she would become well
and then the story is interrupted and
it’s so fascinating because his daughter
was 12 years old this woman has been
dealing with this issue for 12 years so
he’s having this interaction this woman
comes up such as the hem of Jesus
garment power leaves Jesus she is healed
but Jesus is so it is so aware that no
something happened and it is beyond me
telling her your faith has made you well
her story needs to be heard by somebody
so when he looks for the woman cuz Jesus
could have it could have just been what
it is the woman would have known okay
I’m here then you know kumbaya if it was
only about her healing because this is
what we have to understand what you’re
waiting for is not just for what you
need to receive
because if it was only about her healing
it then it would have been a silent
thing and she could just go on her way
because that was her plan she said look
I just need to touch his the hem of His
garment
and get my healing and welcome back like
nothing even happened but Jesus
understood it was beyond just saying who
touched me and we know somebody touched
him
it was beyond that when he says who
touched me and the Bible tells us that
she began to tell her story now when
this is when this happens someone comes
up to gyruss and says your daughter is
dead forget about the matter but in the
midst of that he’s hearing a woman talk
about how for 12 years I’ve been dealing
with this issue but I knew that when I
would touch you Jesus that I will be
made whole she in her mind she’s as
given her testimony but there was
something that the Bible tells us in the
book of Revelation it says that they
overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by
the word of their testimony
you see oftentimes God would orchestrate
moments and you may think that God I
just feel like it is taking forever and
God says that no your testimony is a
seed for someone else’s miracle and so
it’s not because I’m just trying to
waste my time with you but the moment
the appointed time that I have ordained
for this thing to happen someone would
be in the vicinity of it someone would
hear about it and you actually without
knowing their miracle is connected to
what I do in you so if I do it
prematurely when this daughter dies this
man will not have the faith to believe
you see the only thing jesus said to
gyruss he says do not be afraid just
believe but that was not an empty
statement Jesus realized gyruss you just
heard a story
your daughter is 12 years old and she
just died you just heard a story about
this woman talking about for 12 years
I’ve been dead
with this issue it only got worse but I
just all I did was touch your Garmin
gyrus you want me to touch you want me
to use my hand to touch her this woman
did not even touch me she touched what I
was wearing and power came out of me
you see family what whatever seems to be
going on in your life and you feel like
God it seems like it is taking forever I
have been believing for this thing I’m
believing for this breakthrough this
miracle I’m believing for my place in
this industry I’m believing for a spouse
and you just you you may think that it’s
just about me praying more Lord I just
need to pray more body so it happens now
but the real the posture of prayer is
expectation then Lord I already know
it’s gonna happen and I will trust you
with the timing because what I don’t
recognize is that the timing of my
miracle is also assigned to someone
else’s breakthrough and the very thing
the Lord began to show me you see this
year our pastor declared that this year
is the year of revealing and some of the
things some of the other things that
would happen is that what you’re seeking
for wood will start being revealed to
you Jesus was revealed to this woman he
had been on the earth the whole time
that she was going to what she was
dealing with but he was not yet revealed
but she never lost her confidence and so
when Jesus was now revealed she could
recognize him because she had
expectation she was confident that God
what you have put in my heart to believe
it will come to pass and so when the
miracle when the answer was right in
front of her because of her expectation
she could engage it you see whatever it
is that God has spoken to you about it
may have been 12 years ago it may have
been 20 years ago whatever it is that
you feel like you’ve been wrestling with
how you know you have your expectation
is that you don’t allow your experiences
to dilute the power of what you believe
for
there are some of you you’re believing
God for this fairytale that he put in
your heart as a child he put in your
heart when life could not contaminate
you and all of a sudden you went through
experience after experience this woman
literally every experience she had only
made matters worse and oftentimes what
that does for us it makes us believe
that you know what maybe this is just
not for me
and it begins to dilute the power of
what God said you see family a lot of
times the reason why a prophetic word
will come to you early or something
would be deposited in your heart early
it’s because God is using that as an
insurance for you to know that look when
life looks as the opposite of what I’ve
told you understand that that is the lie
because there are many things there are
many things that God does in our lives
is not even telling us there are many
things that we happen to walk into
sometimes you know I remember asking God
sometimes I’m like God how did this like
when did this happen and he’s like you
prayed about it I’m like when but when
we’re saying God you know have your way
your will be done and not my will it is
a prayer of surrender that God literally
orchestrated my life but why is it that
there are specific things about our
lives
that God would put a seed in you a
desire every time you one thing I’ve
noticed even in my life and some of you
I believe it when all of us can attest
to that is that the moment I desire
something that I desire it so much that
I feel like it’s right here I know that
God has put that in my heart and so a
lot of times God puts you know when God
speaks to us whether it’s through a
dream a desire or knowing just like you
know what God I just know this is
supposed to happen and it’s his
insurance plan for his word to be made
manifest because he recognizes that the
seasons that are coming after this will
challenge who you really are but if I
can show you an image of what I want to
do in your life I am banking on that you
would hold on to that image and not what
surrounds you
and so you may be wrestling with God
I’ve believed for this and it just
doesn’t seem to be working you see that
that word in Hebrews it says do not cast
away your confidence meaning that God
has given you something to be confident
about God has given you a word and the
only way that the enemy who the Bible
tells us comes to steal kill and destroy
but then look at how it starts he comes
to first steal and so how does he steal
something when we don’t see the value in
the words that God has said the Bible
says do not cast away your confidence do
not throw away that which I gave you do
not let go of the word I gave you
because the moment you abandon it that
is when because how the enemy picks it
up is that oh he sees a moment of
vulnerability that you are no longer
believing in the very thing I said so
now let me actually use this moment to
kill every trace of Hope you ever had
and then all of a sudden you feel like
there is attacks from every corner
regarding this very thing that you have
believed God for and God says it starts
by if you take it out of your sight
if you’re no longer mindful about the
things that I’ve said to you that is
when the enemy can steal because that is
when he comes in and says oh I see a
little doubt in you then maybe I can
start changing your language about what
you once believe God for and in our
religious mindset we think you know what
God maybe I just need a surrender I’m
just gonna lay it before the altar Jesus
you see surrender there are things that
when God wants you to surrender
something that is very dear to you it’s
not it doesn’t start by you volunteering
Abraham never said Wow Jesus well Lord
what are your thoughts about me just
killing my son and I just feel like he’s
getting in the way of our relationship
it was a clear instruction that God gave
him and said Abraham sacrificed bring to
me your only son the one that you love
when God gives you a word he’s not you
surrender is not gonna come from you
oftentimes surrender comes from us
because we don’t want to deal with the
hurt and the pain no longer and now we
say you know what god I just need a
surrender
I need a lay that the altar yet you are
surrendering the thing that he gave to
you because when God is the one that
tells you it is time my son I want you
to lay this thing at my feet and
oftentimes it’s not because it’s
actually telling you to let that thing
go but perhaps in that moment he’s
saying that this thing has overpowered
your life but it would come from the
Spirit of God and so we have to be
honest with ourselves we have to be able
to do a heart check and say God have I
let go of the things I once desired
because you asked me to or is that my
fear of rejection is that my fear that
what you’ve said to me is it my fear of
not wanting to expect something on a
grand level only to be met by mediocrity
is that my fear or is it actually you
speaking am i leaving things on the
table imagine if this woman when she
heard reports about Jesus and she said
you know what it’s gonna be like
everything else I’m good
Jesus would have been there and after
three years he would have been gone and
the woman in her 17th year she would
still be looking for physicians because
when the miracle was right in her midst
she held on to the stories of her
experiences rather than the word that
God put in her heart in the first place
that this infirmity is not gonna define
your life and so family in a very simple
way the very thing the Lord showed me is
don’t quit on who you are don’t give up
on the things he said to you don’t give
up on the authentic nature of who you
are because you feel like perhaps if I
settle
then maybe I can experience a little bit
of what I wants desire but don’t give up
on you you see the year of revealing
also what is so powerful about this
scripture that stood out to me is even
Jesus in the picture when power left him
we have to realize that he was power
left him because he was full of power
but that power came upon him when he
left the wilderness when he was able to
overcome his own temptation when he was
able to endure when he could have easily
given in and that was the moment that he
was empowered that he would be revealed
you see when we talk about the year of
revealing is gonna come with a lot of
tests on both sides there is gonna be
the test of the things that God has once
spoken to you about and now he’s
revealing the answer in front of you
he’s bringing things in your mists and
it’s only your expectation that would
allow you to engage it and there are
things that are also in your midst that
you have to be able to overcome in order
for God to reveal you to somebody else
you see so this is a moment where we’re
like Lord it’s not just for us to say
wow you know what the big checks are
coming the contracts are coming I’m
being revealed hallelujah amen to that
too though but we also have to recognize
that this is the moments when we begin
to say no to our fears when we begin to
say no to disappointment that
disappointment you will not have me that
I am still believing God for the things
that he won’t showed me that God unless
you were the one telling me to let
something go I am not gonna lie to
myself and convince myself that this is
not what I want anymore
I’m not gonna lie to myself and say you
know what God all I need is a little
more Jesus because the truth of the
matter is in the things that God has
called you to it’s gonna reveal him to
somebody else the very you know what’s
interesting as I was praying for this
one of the things that God show
me because even even with the messages
about praying about God what is it that
you’re calling people to and how can I
pray into those very things but one of
the things God showed me even had to do
with marriages and some I feel like God
like this is taking forever but what you
don’t realize is that your marriage your
breakthrough there there are key things
that he showed me one had to do with
marriage is one had to do with I saw
like where the the very simple if there
are some actors and things that are
believing God for that movie that role
that would just break them out and God
is saying the moment you have been
praying I have been working on someone
with the idea for the script even when
it comes into marriages that what you
don’t realize is that your testimony and
your story that there there is a child
being born right now that would need
your story in 20 years and so it’s not
about you we we have to come into this
awareness that God mine miracle is
bigger than me it’s not just about me
and so my ability to hold on to it it’s
not just about me there are lives that
are banking on the testimony that you’re
gonna give me and so family as we are
approaching this new year we have to
approach it with honesty being honest to
ourselves first God what is it that
you’ve shown me and what have I lied to
myself about I need to get back to that
version of me who believed you before
disappointment came and shook my world
and then it get back to that version of
me God one of those things that I’ve
always believed before I used to journal
about it I used to talk about it I used
to I used to make notes about it what
are the things I believed you for I need
to get back to that version I have to be
willing it’s okay if it looks like I
fell because failure is about the end
result not the moment every time it
could look like failure to the outside
world but it’s not failure when it’s
between you and God every time that lady
with the issue of blood every time that
her case got worse I’m sure people were
like just stop already you’re wasting
money on this but she knew that you may
think that this is failing but I know
between God that it’s about the end
result and I’m still breathing and so
it’s not over and so family we have to
be so committed so committed to the
things that God showed us they were like
god I would ride this thing out till the
grave I would ride it out till the grave
that yes it may be 25 years and I’m
still believing you for this one thing
but I would ride it out till the grave
because what you don’t realize is that
it’s not that God has been unfair and
it’s not that God has forgotten you
but God recognizes that the timing of
your breakthrough the timing of your
miracle is connected to somebody else
and it is to make that x align and so
family let’s be honest
let’s be honest and one of my the thing
I prayed the most about this moment is
that in this moment the Holy Spirit will
bring to your memory the things that you
have left let go of and the idea of God
I’m just gonna surrender this or maybe
this is not what I believe for anymore I
don’t think this was ever me you know I
think I don’t even think I really wanted
this but to come back to your truth and
come back to your core because in that
you will be able to recognize when God
brings the miracle in front of you and
you will be able to engage it family
stand with me
thank you Jesus thank you Jesus
thank you lord
I just believe that in this moment that
God is gonna is gonna put a fire on that
desire once more but it has to take a
partnership with your will because I
believe that even during this message
that the Holy Spirit began to bring to
your memory the things that you have
left on the table in the name of fear or
whatever it is but as I think back on
this woman that I met and I my god what
are the odds that was you there at the
same time the very same time that she
has these questions for you is the very
same time you encounter me and you’re
aligning our paths all along for that
very moment and that they would be
pregnant with something that we both
needed that this woman with the issue of
blood that the moment her condition
started you are already years ahead that
a child was just born the the very year
her affliction started this child was
born that same year and you already saw
what will come against that child in 12
years and you assigned that woman to be
the answer to her testimony Wow
you see what if what looks like an
affliction in your life what if what
looks like a circumstance what if what
looks like oh the enemy seems to be
against me
it’s actually an answer prayer for
someone else that someone is banking on
you to overcome what you’re dealing with
in order for them to live you see I
think that I believe that it’s so you
its own everything every every act the
way God moves is so unique because
everything about God is prophetic
it speaks beyond the moment and I
believe that it’s so unique that what
happens first of all you have someone
who is losing blood life is in the blood
then you have a child that dies but I
believe that what is prophetic to us
even now is that we have to recognize
that the assignments on our lives is
literally life or death for somebody
else and sometimes you see sometimes we
think that an assignment is only about
when God gives you a task that you know
what I have called you to do a B or C we
think that it’s only when God says this
is your purpose do you know that
sometimes purpose could be overcoming
that sometimes you’re assigned with a
thorn and it’s in your ability to
overcome that thorn that is your purpose
in that moment you see one of purpose is
something that is always evolving when
Jesus was on the earth he had different
assignments there are times that the
father would have him go to different
cities to meet different people for
different reasons but there was a moment
that Jesus’s assignment was to overcome
death
it was for him to take on the sins of
the world kill it in his body and
allowed the Holy Spirit to resurrect him
that was also part of his assignment he
it was not it had nothing to do with
being sent to anyone it had to do it
overcoming what could overcome somebody
else this woman did not allow the loss
of blood to overcome her and in her
ability to overcome it
she was able to reveal strength to the
father of someone who just lost his
twelve-year-old daughter and this none
of this is coincidence this is just the
workings of God it shows us how much we
need each other you see Jesus said to
the woman your faith has made you whole
and it almost tells us this image that
Jesus was also looking for the man to
have some faith in the situation
concerning his child he says to him do
not be afraid just believe that what if
this man’s belief was part of the
ingredient the Holy Spirit needed
because you see Jesus was submitted to
the power of the Holy Spirit it wasn’t
based on what he will to do it was based
on how God orchestrated to reveal the
miracle and what if part of the miracle
in that moment included the faith of her
father and so family it’s bigger than us
it’s bigger than us part of your
assignment on this earth could be
overcoming the very thing that it could
be enduring it could be being patient
it could be knowing that God I would
hold on to your word because someone
else is not even just for me but someone
else is also banking on this
you see that gives me hope because if
it’s just about me then I could make
room to give up I could say you know
what God it’s not that deep you know
it’s not that serious but when you start
recognizing this is beyond me you see
one of the things is that one of the
things about God every time God moves
God every time God even speaks a word to
you every time God blesses you he his
word speaks in legacy in generations God
will look at you and he’s looking at
your seed and the problem oftentimes
with us is that in humanity we always we
often look at life through a space of a
time block and that is where frustration
always kicks in because we’re looking at
life through this time frame okay God by
the time I’m 30 this needs to happen at
30 and if it doesn’t happen at 30 but
when we begin to look at life from an
internal perspective that alone will
kill a lot of frustration because you’ll
begin to recognize that when God was
talking to Abraham about his seed he was
not just speaking to Abraham being a
father he saw his son coming through
that line age when he was blessing
Abraham he was speaking to the legacy of
Abraham Abraham was not just fighting
for his status of a father he was
fighting for generations that would come
after him you’re fighting for battles
that others fought for you we often
thank God we many of us would say god I
thank God I had a praying grandmother I
thank God I had a praying grandfather
you know we don’t show grandfather’s a
lot of love we mostly talk about the
grandmothers but they also fought
something so that you will be standing
where you are and so family if you know
that in this moment the Holy Spirit
begins to bring things to your mind that
you have let go of because you’re like
God it’s been disappointment of a
disappointment and you know you could
reveal me a different way and you know
that you need to go back to that
every word God said to you that you had
let they go that you started settling
for mediocrity when God has spoken
things to you that is way above what
you’re doing right now some of you may
need the strength to let go of
mediocrity because what God said to you
is not where you are this woman with the
issue of blood never held on to the
physicians that didn’t work she moved
quickly she said this is not looking
like my promise the Bible tells us that
she went through physicians to
physicians and what it tells me is that
she said if you don’t know how to do it
I’m out of here
i’ma find somebody else she never said
okay maybe you can you know try a
different route you know try to figure
something else out or maybe whatever it
is to just soothe the pain and make it a
temporary thing she was on a search she
said if this does not look like my
promise I don’t want it some of you in
this house right now are watching you
may need the strength to let it go right
here and for some of you you need the
strength to pick it up if that is you

to you about things that you let go of
God is speaking to you about it you know
you need to pick it back up come down

you see how God moves is so strategic
and it’s always full of love it would
never be that God is just trying to you
know waste time and wait for you to be
you know talk about it more pray about
it more the posture of prayer starts
first with expectation and it’s very
possible to pray for an hour without
actually expecting God to move it’s very
possible that could just be a religious
activity like okay let me just some talk
about this but the posture is
expectation that God I’m believing you
for something I’m believing you for
something you know on Sunday
our pastor Pastor Tory Roberts he taught
on knowing God and you use a scripture
where David the scripture tells us that
David cried to the Lord and he heard his
cry and then it tells us how and David
is crying out to God because of the
injustice in his life and the scripture
talks about how God was angry and it was
angry that God was angry at that which
was against David but you see there’s a
way that David cried out to God then he
said God you have to answer me I’m not
just crying out to you and then after I
were complaining about the situation he
said in this very moment God something
needs to happen I have an expectation of
you and it was that expectation that
made room for God to move God was always
angry about what was happening but
everything God doesn’t the earth he does
it through partnership if you don’t make
room for him he cannot reveal the things
that he wants to right it correct in
your life he cannot reveal the ways that
he wants to put his hand on your life if
we don’t have an expectation of him that
power that came out of Jesus was
ordained for that woman but if she did
not engage him it would have been stored
up right there
and so it’s our expectation that opens
heaven it’s when we know that God I will
not let this thing go the scripture
tells us that it is your confidence that
has a great reward that very thing so
when you hold on to it when the
appointed time comes you will be
rewarded by with what it comes with
you’ll be rewarded with the
manifestation of the spoken word thank
you Jesus
if there’s anyone else I just sense that
in my spirit
don’t let disappointment have you don’t
let disappointment have you God is
calling you out he says my child my
daughter my son I have you thank you

every time we come into this house as a
Thursday night when we come into this
house with us on a Thursday and a Sunday
we’re coming to grab hold on to God
we’re not just coming for a service
we’re coming to grab hold on to
everything that God says we are God show
me me I don’t want to leave here at the
same the same way I came I don’t want to
leave here and say wow he’s not when the
charity no where she was led now worship
will be live but I want to leave here
transformed I want to leave here knowing
that God I encountered you and something
about my life changed in this very
moment I don’t want this to just be a
habit I want this to be a place that
changes my life if I’ve left anything on
the table God searched my heart right
this very moment I don’t want to be
afraid any longer and I don’t want to
lie to myself either
if I’m gonna look like a fool let me
look like a fool but let me be known as
the fool who sought after God let me be
known as the fool who believed in the
promises of God if I’m gonna be a fool
God has you in his hands and it was so
key for you to know this that it’s not
that time is going by because God has
forgotten what he said to you it’s not
that time is going by because maybe you
didn’t hear correctly it’s not that time
is going by because hey maybe God
changed his mind but that what if not
even what if the truth is the timing of
your miracle is assigned to somebody
else and God is literally watching for
those moments to align together and
that’s what breakthrough happens
family just bow your heads in prayer
with me Heavenly Father we thank you we
thank you for the word that we have
received Oh God
we thank you for what took place in this
very moment we thank you Lord they you
by your power and by your spirit you
were put in a flame right back on those
desires that it would be so potent in
their hearts that they would not let it
go that if there’s anything they need to
surrender in this moment is the lies
that the enemy has tried to use to
plague them of what you said if there is
something that needs to be surrendered
is it not allowing the disappointments
of their life to define them is to
surrender every disappointment and say
God I will still trust you God I will
still believe in what you said God I’m
not gonna settle for mediocrity I
believe that the word you gave me is
true and it is pure and I’m gonna hold
on to it God I recognize that the very
same way that because of what someone
overcame I’m standing here you have also
appointed another persons miracle so the
timing of what you said to me and so
Lord I will be patient I would wait on
you and I would know that you alone are
the one who holds my life
and you have me God thank you Jesus
thank you that you are in this moment
with each and every one of us and you
are speaking to us right now then I
never changed my mind concerning you
I never changed my mind concerning what
I said to you I said it in a time to you
where it could not be contaminated I
said in a time to you that you did not
even desire it but I put that desire in
you so that you would know that when it
seems when life seems to be against what
I said I didn’t like the circumstance is
what’s lying to you Thank You Jesus Lord
may we always have this posture of
expectation before you because that is
the exchange where we meet that is the
place of our exchange thank you lord
thank you lord now if there’s anyone in
this house and you know maybe you walked
someone brought you here or you just
found yourself here you’ve been going
here for a period of time and you want
to give your life to Jesus and you have
not made you have not opened your heart
to him but somehow in this moment in
this message your heart just it’s moved
to know that God I need you in my life I
need you in my life I want to know who
you are that while I was talking about
this woman that maybe I was also talking
about you that maybe in this house there
are questions that have been answered
and you know that I should follow you
Lord but I’ve been running and maybe I’m
scared I don’t know what it is but in
this very moment you know that God is
knocking on your heart and he’s saying
open up your heart to me if you know
that you want to give your life to Jesus
in this moment I want you to boldly
raise up your hand and say lord have
your way in my life thank you Jesus
thank you Jesus
thank you Jesus thank you Jesus thank
you Lord family just say this prayer
with me Lord Jesus I confess with my
mouth as I have believed in my heart
that you are my Lord and Savior you died
on the cross for me have your way in my
life make my heart your home in Jesus
mighty name family can we lift up a
praise to God
