This week on INSIDE THE VISION, we talk about constructing our core values. When you write down your core values, they guide your vision and keep it on course. You’ll also meet some of KCM’s long-term team members who’ve taken hold of KCM’s Core Values and help make our vision happen. On this week’s episode: * Meet Jerry Bonds, employed by KCM since 1977, and hear why he calls himself “an undercover preacher.” * Meet Jay West, employed by KCM since 1984, and hear why he believes KCM is good ground…and what he says you can expect in return for your faithful connection. * Hear Terri Copeland Pearsons and Aubrey Mitchell break down each of the 7 Core Values of KCM…so you can follow our example and write your own. yeah hi this is Aubrey I was just

calling to let you know congratulations

you got the job yes we’re so excited to

have you but I wanted to ask you when

can you

start okay but for real you remember

when you got that phone call you got the

job it was so exciting and whether your

first job was bagging groceries or

making coffee as a barista or perhaps

washing windows whatever it was that

first job was a stepping stone it was a

building block for what God had planned

for your future KCM is going into its

58th year of ministry and it has taken

hundreds of employees over those years

to accomplish all that God said in Mimi

and Papa’s heart to do for the kingdom

now you may think why does it take so

many people to run a Ministry well think

about it like this I have a lot of kids

so I’m always looking for a quick and

easy recipe for our busy dinners at home

and I might find something that looks

really good but then when I look look at

that recipe and there are so many

ingredients now I’ll admit there have

been times when I tried to skip a step

or two or just tried to do something

simpler or maybe I was missing an

ingredient so I compensated by using

something else also little piece of

advice olive oil and vegetable oil

they’re not the same but anyway even the

tiniest pinch of salt matters in the end

and we have 50 departments just here

locally not including our staff for our

six global mobile offices and some of

those departments include prayer and

accounting land maintenance carpentry it

events marketing and Communications and

of course Eagle Mountain International

Church and whether you’re a whiz with

numbers and computers or you have a

heart for children or you’ve dreamed of

working in television with over 20 jobs

currently available you could very well

be the missing ingredient right here at

the Revival capital of the world so

today we want to introduce you to some

of our employees who You’ been here for

20 30 and 40 years so let’s go inside

what might be your next job Britney I’m

so glad that we got to meet today I’ve

been meaning to come and talk to you in

HR and I’ve just noticed that when I’ve

been looking at kcm.org

jobs I found out that there are so many

job openings and there’s so much going

on here you know I’ve been here a long

time and I have never seen it quite like

this before how about you you’ve been

here just a short period of time that’s

right Pastor George I’ve been here

almost four years and the amount of

growth is incredible we have jobs right

now in maintenance we have jobs at our

Child Learning Center we have jobs in

our headquarters building there is so

much growth at the Revival capital of

the world and there is and I have such

an appreciation for the people that God

sends here because I mean I couldn’t do

this alone um Kenneth and Gloria

couldn’t do it alone so take me through

the list go through that with me and let

me know what we’re looking for in these

particular jobs sure so we have a job

open right now in maintenance as a

mechanic as a mechanic you’ll complete

maintenance and repair on Ministry

vehicles on heavy equipment that we have

like our bulldozers and our

tractor my name is Jerry bonds and uh I

started back in 1977

I think one thing that uh kind of got me

out of the starting blocks at the

beginning it was a day to day if I can

make it through

today I’ll try it again

tomorrow but uh

Kenneth uh there’s one thing we all did

every morning and still doing it to this

day is have a devotional in the

mornings and we had a devotional one

morning and

Kenneth uh did the devotional and kind

of what uh we like said got me out of

the uh starting blocks uh to going

forward in this was Kenneth told his

home

staff that uh anything you know anything

that you have to

do with this ministry and assisting me

in my calling in God’s eyes it’s as if

you did you preached the message well

that really hit me right between the

eyes oh I maybe that’s the reason I am

here is

to is to assist uh and help get this

word out

and and uh at the same time being

undercover pre preacher I guess you

could say

and uh the first job that I had was

putting together audio cassette

tape binders

sets that was one of the products that

we offered we had about 10 or 12

different audio cassette tapes uh sets

anywhere from two tapes in a set up to

12 tapes in a set there one year uh

Kenneth give away one of an audio

cassette

T of it was uh the old message uh our

covenant with God which was an extremely

popular message that year not just that

tape but that year is was all added

together a little over two me in C audio

cassette tapes during the time that I

was

there I was involved producing over 20

million of those audio set tapes when I

I come over here into the television

Department I got to talk to Kenneth

about the transfer and all and and uh I

got to tell him how many that I was uh

part of him putting together was 20

million and he just looked at me and

said Jerry can you imagine all of those

tapes were out there in your name has

your I said yeah that that’s a

I know that was a part of my uh calling

as a preacher one thing that happened to

me while in here just doing my thing one

day I had a sudden cardiac

rest and I hit the floor like a sack of

rocks

I woke up laying on the

floor

I I got up and and kind

of shook it off as being I just

fainted and

uh I kind of went back to work but I

thought maybe I to call my

wife and so I called her and she

insisted that uh we go see my

cardiologist now my

cardiologist suggested that I have a

implantable

defibrillator and a

pacemaker uh implanted in in into

me and

uh when we uh went to the uh to her

office uh she did an interr what they

call interrogation of the device it

takes it keeps a record of what your

heart does for up to six months of

L and uh

she uh went to read it and then she come

back in to where I was at and said

uh Mr bonds your uh device really worked

cuz it uh you had a sudden cardiac

arrest and and you were we would be

singing your last

song but you’re here with

us well that

uh really really shook me

up knowing that you can be gone like

that and

uh

for a few

days uh Satan Bea me over the head with

it I mean it was thrown in my face all

the time

constantly am I going to be able to take

another step you know stuff like

that and

uh so I uh I come to work one morning

back to this room at that time I uh I

felt the spirit of

God say look around behind you at your

30-year award he said look at the

scripture that you wanted to put on it

God will preserve me and keep me me it

will bless me on this

Earth and wow and I looked up the

definition of preserve and it one of the

definitions was keep something from

dying and at that moment I felt a big

relief I started saying the Lord will

preserve me and keep me alive every time

that was that Satan would throw that in

my face the Lord will preserve me and

keep me alive and I want the partners to

know that that’s one way that they

affect the staff I’m sure each staff

member here has a personal

story the way that this word that

Kenneth is preaching the uncompromised

word of God is something you can stand

on that it’s true truth and it can

affect your

life well Britney I was looking at

kcm.org jobs and I was noticing

something on there we’ve got so much

property here and beautiful property and

we’ve got people that take good care of

the property the grass and all of the

flowers and everything and and so there

was an opening for an individual tell me

about that opening sure our land

maintenance team is what keeps these

grounds looking beautiful absolutely oh

yeah and being a part of land

maintenance team you would be

responsible for mowing mowing tree

trimming tree trimming planting flowers

and watering the proper

my name is Jay West and I’ve been here

for 36

years and I’m happily married I have

four children and before I came here I

was over at uh before and after school

daycare I worked in landscape and then I

worked in the shipping and receiving

department I actually started in uh

1984 there was probably about a I’d say

about 170 employees and we were in two

different locations one of them was off

of or close to downtown Fort Worth and

the other one was here on the property

these 1500 acres and it was it was just

the music department it was the

landscape and it was the um DC

Department the shipping and receiving

when I moved from the Transportation in

I

remember Jerry bonds calling me into his

office and he would say hey Jay There’s

an opportunity here you you might want

to look at

um they’re forming a department from

administrative

services and they need another person

and so I recommended you and so I went

on and interviewed and went through the

process of change and and man it was

like I don’t know I feel like I went up

a notch on serving you know I feel like

I just learned more about there’s so

much to be done and I’ve become I became

more Mobile in the

ministry that was a big change for me

because to come from a concealed area

and shipping and receiving and then go

into going all over the property and

moving things and after that the other

offices has moved here now but to um to

be able to move around more did

something for me I keep thinking about

how exciting it is to take something to

someone or to deliver something to

someone and and uh they get excited

about it it just makes me excited and so

I I uh really got a lot out of

delivering and serving and and and

taking things to someone that they’re

expecting and looking for and they got

it I’m excited about how just the small

thing that we do in delivering and

serving that we get an opportunity to

hand off The Paton to people and what

they have to do and we know it leaves us

and it’s going to go and bless and and

Minister and

cause joy and happiness in other people

I would want the partners to know I’m

thankful first of all for their faithful

giving and their faithful support and

their prayers and everything but as they

sow and they give and they are um doing

what they do for us that we’re good

Grand ground we are good ground and when

they sew into us they’re about their

father’s business and when they’re about

their father’s business their father has

taken care of them and so they can

expect a miracle and and change and

happiness and joy in their own lives and

their families and their

jobs God is at work in their life as

they just sew into us and I’m thankful

for that I believe it’s increased my

life because I’ve been very observant of

how this Kenneth and Gloria their

example of

giving I have learned so much about how

to give and I’m telling you that brings

me so much joy to give I’ve seen it in

them they love to give you know I’ve

seen Kenneth and Gloria they’ll offer

things on the broadcast and they’ll just

you know they’ll they’ll say it’s free

and we’ll ship it to you and I mean

those kind of things speak volumes of

giving and so it’s like I can do that I

want to do that and I’ve done that and

it has brought increase in my life

because I understand what it means to

give and SE and Seed man you just have

to trust God to give you the seed well

he Kenneth and Gloria trust God they

give the seed they seow that seed and

God keeps giving them seed and I’m

telling you I keep seeing seed in my

life and I’ll keep increasing and I’m

just excited about what God’s doing in

my life and in my

family I’m just I’m increasing I am so

increasing all over everywhere

Britney tell me I was looking at kcm.org

jobs and I noticed that there was

something to do with children I love

children I love being around children

what’s going on there right we have our

Child Learning Center where all of our

kiddos here on campus go and we have the

jobs posted on kcm.org jobs and you can

read all of the the duties there for

those jobs so like tell me about what’s

the job entail what what are they going

to be doing sure so the teachers are the

ones that provide that social emotional

and learning growth for our students

you’ll be teaching social skills

alongside an age-based

academic that’s

[Music]

high

[Music]

woo

yay so what are core values core values

are what we hold most dear they are an

internal Compass guiding all of our

decisions and our actions and everything

is filtered through our values or our

beliefs our core values are Central to

how we conduct Our Lives guiding our

thoughts our motives and our actions why

because we believe them Kenne copela

Ministries has seven core values so Mom

why don’t you kick us off with the first

one I’d be delighted number one and

foremost is we put the word of God first

place in our lives and we make it final

Authority we keep it promised minent the

word of God is wisdom and always is our

answer number two we live by faith

everything in God Is by faith brother

Copeland has said if I can’t get it by

faith I won’t have it thus our ministry

is debt free number three we walk in

love Faith Works by love so love must be

the greatest motivation for our lives

and for all the things we do in this

ministry and number four we’re led by

the Holy Spirit God and His word are one

God and His Spirit are one and because

God is love he doesn’t hold anything

back from us the holy spirit is

qualified to lead us but it’s up to us

to develop being led number five we pray

about everything prayer is how we

contact God so prayer is how we are

guaranteed to have success effective

prayer will always always be based on

the word of God by faith in love and

it’s the foundation for every successful

Christian Endeavor and number six we

protect the anointing what does it mean

to protect the anointing the anointing

is the power of God on flesh doing what

God can do and we have the anointing of

the Holy Spirit on the inside of us

there is an anointing to do all that God

has called you to do but you have to

value value it and protect it number

seven we honor God although honoring God

is last on our list it’s honor that

drives us to do all the others the goal

in this is not only to have an honor for

God but to become a person of honor and

integrity how do we show honor Jesus

summed it up this way in John 14:15 if

you love me you’ll keep my Commandments

we honor God by obeying him

by doing the number one through six

Keeps Us in line with honoring God so

these are the seven core values of

Kenneth Copa Ministries and we’re

sharing them with you today so you can

take them as your own core values if a

Christian will live by these values they

will be empowered to be successful in

their walk with God and as a staff we

strive to live by these values day in

and day out because it’s important to us

to honor God and honor our partners I

was looking at kcm.org

jobs and I noticed that there was an

opening in the church now the church is

pretty amazing every Sunday every

Wednesday and then all kinds of meetings

in between what an amazing Church Eagle

Mountain International Church is and now

this particular position I think it was

for a receptionist yes so tell me about

the receptionist position sure we have

lots of positions open at kcm.org jobs

and in the receptionist position you’d

be responsible for taking incoming phone

calls greeting

guests Terry seel Foy our cheerleader of

Dreams has smartly said that comparison

is the death of progress there’s no

benefit in comparing ourselves to others

but it’s this TR that we can easily fall

into can you imagine running a Sprint

race while constantly looking sideways

Not only would you strain your neck but

you’d also slow down and risk veering

off course possibly colliding with

others it would be chaotic constantly

measuring your journey against someone

else’s will not only hinder your

progress and eventually sabotage the

unique path that’s meant for you your

vision will falter if you are too

focused on what other are doing

especially if you’ve given into that lie

that what they are doing is better what

they are doing is smarter or more

effective than what God has called for

you to do yes we should strive to

improve but not for the sole purpose of

trying to live up to the progress of

someone else so what’s the answer

compare not stay laser focused on

running your race embrace your vision

and your call Britney I was looking

online at kcm.org

jobs and I noticed that with the all of

the staff that we have here we need to

have the dining facilities we need to

have a kitchen because with all the

people that we have on property it’s a

lot easier for people to eat right here

they don’t have to go away for lunch and

we have uh places for them to eat so I

noticed that when I looked at kcm.org

jobs there was an opening for a cook or

a chef or something like that tell me

about that that’s right there was an

opening for a cook position so in that

role you’d be preparing daily breakfast

and lunch meals preparing meals for our

CLC kids and helping with catering

events around the

ministry just had the rich

[Music]

tracker I was thinking about this we

have so many facilities on the property

we’ve got buildings all over the place

space that need to be kept clean that

need to be kept in order and I was

looking at kcm.org jobs and I noticed

that we have an opening for a

housekeeper tell me a little bit more

about the housekeeping position sure our

housekeeping team is the keeper of these

houses and they operate in a spirit of

Excellence here at the Revival capital

of the world and as a housekeeper you’d

be responsible for cleaning the restroom

sweeping and mopping the floors dusting

[Music]

I am so thankful for housekeeping me too

Pastor George I can’t tell you how

thankful I am for housekeeping but you

know we were talking about all of the

people that work here and how grateful

we are for the gifts and the talents and

the abilities and how grateful we are

for you in HR to be able to locate these

people bring them in let them know out

on kcm.org jobs exactly what is

available here and I know you have that

same appreciation because you see all of

these people up close and personal

absolutely Pastor George I have the

opportunity to connect with people

interested in working at KCM which you

can see our open jobs at kcm.org

jobs and connecting with our new hires I

get have the honor of doing orientation

and getting to hear the stories of our

staff coming from all over the country

the wonderful thing about our staff too

is that they pray that’s right they have

the vision of what Kenneth and Gloria

Copeland are called to do but they also

pray and I was thinking about our

housekeepers when they are cleaning up

they’re praying they’re praying over

these desks and they’re praying over the

staff and they’re here alone sometimes

at night praying in the Holy Spirit I’ve

talked to them visited with them about

that and that’s the whole attitude of

our staff do you see that with our staff

absolutely Pastor George you know my

office is right next to the prayer

minister so I get to hear it firsthand

every sing single day you do don’t you I

do I love it the spirit of prayer is

here in K ministry that’s right well

Britney thank you so much thanks for

taking the time and meeting with me

today

absolutely I hope you enjoyed seeing a

few of the different departments we have

here at Kenneth Copa Ministries and of

course meeting some of the people and

while we had some fun showing you some

of the jobs that might not be available

right now there are always plenty of

opportunities here at KCM and as you

watch today perhaps a sense of

excitement was ignited in you that may

be a prompting of what if I’m supposed

to apply however the Holy Spirit might

be leading you it’s at least worth a

small amount of research right and we

have plenty of ministry opportunities

here at KCM so I’d encourage you go to

kcm.org jobs to see what all we do have

available we are so grateful for our

long-term employees they have been so

faithful and a huge blessing to this

ministry but of course we have so much

gratitude in our hearts for all of our

employees the ones that are here now and

the ones that are yet to come not only

do we have long-term employees but we
