my name is amber lee bell and i have the

honor and privilege of serving as one of

the executive pastors here at tc

we are so honored that you’ve decided to

join us today

get your phone your notebook whatever it

is that you take notes with and get

ready for today’s message

oh come on transformation church let’s

make a joyful noise unto the lord

hallelujah

oh i’m excited today if you’re excited

to be alive why don’t you give god one

shot of praise

hey hey hey today is a special day

because today is mother’s day if you got

a mama make some noise

that should be everybody amen today i

want to say happy mother’s day to

every mother that is out there we are

nothing literally without you um

to the mothers that literally make up

this amazing community that we have um

to pastor debbie

um our founding mother here at

transformation church

we love you uh to my mommy

who’s sitting and looking so beautiful

you look like a beautiful flower you’re

just blooming

y’all can’t see her i’ll post a picture

later um my spiritual heritage

and uh my my my fervor and prayer

and going after the things of god it

comes from you and i just love you and i

appreciate you

i would not be who i am today had you

not spit on my head and prayed over me

at four o’clock in the morning every

night and

the more years that go by i’m just more

grateful

that you’re my mommy and i love you hey

listen can i say this to everybody if

you got a mommy

call them today text them i know it

might be rough i know it might

you never know what one act of kindness

even if they don’t deserve it you don’t

know what type of seeds of forgiveness

that could be sown

through just the i love you and so today

let’s let’s honor remember we honor up

we honor down hey we are all the way

just one more time there we honor oh

let’s go we on or down come on we honor

the way that’s even when it doesn’t feel

like you should honor

this is the only promise that god says

there’s long life that comes with

honoring your mother and father

and so today transformation nation i’m

asking you send a text

put a dove in the air do something send

a smoke signal

and uh just tell them you love me and i

could not um

go past this moment without honoring all

the mothers of transformation church but

specifically

pastor natalie who is the mother of all

my babies

and um y’all

i know you’ll be like i know you got to

do the mother’s day thing and all that

other stuff this ain’t a mother’s day

thing for me

this is an everyday thing for me we

have been through so many things

and the fact that my three and a half

children we got one on the way right now

have the best mother in the world

natalie i appreciate you i love you

and i see why god gave me my greatest

gift in you

today i honor you i i how about say i

lift you up

you know what i’m saying you’re starting

and i thank god and on behalf of me and

my kids and transformation church we

thank god

for pastor natalie and i think we want

no i’m just playing uh me and natalie on

this mother’s day are so grateful

to bring into the world now make it pink

put the name back up there

this is my last kid i’m doing the whole

thing you understand what i’m saying

this is it this is the

finale my four and no more um the name

of this child is going to be gia

simone hope and um we are

really excited about what god is about

to do through this finale

in the todd household and i wanted to

share this moment with my church family

because that’s who you really are you’re

our family

and so over this next season we need you

to be praying for us it’s 24 days pastor

is at at home in the bed right now

because she just swole up

and and and and i need y’all to be

praying y’all go ahead and start doing

this thing

it makes me they’re going to clean all

of this up y’all can be seated but it

makes me just want to have just a family

talk real quick

about um this next season of ministry

we’re about to go into okay

and um i think so they can be able to do

all of this you just camera follow me

over here you can turn it back to

regular now and they can do all of that

what what what’s about to happen over

this next three months

is something that if you’re just

starting to follow transformation church

you may not know it’s something that we

do every summer

and um i’m going on paternity leave

after this

series about the holy spirit and um i

know this is something that most pastors

and most ministers don’t do because

their ministry is more important than

their family

but i want to be very clear this is what

god’s called me to

do my family is what he’s called me too

you see how little the amens are right

there but this is what i’m saying to you

i won’t get to the end of my life and

god asked me what did i do

with your most important thing i gave

you

and i said well god i did crusades and

god we did crazy faith and god we

packed arenas and we wrote songs he said

but i gave you my daughter

and i gave you those four children and

you didn’t steward over them right

so one of the things i’m trying to model

for you is that there is no level of

success

that is worth neglecting your family i’m

gonna

say it again there is no level of

success

not grammys not bags of millions

not new york time bestseller nothing is

working

worth you neglecting your family and so

one of the rhythms that we put in place

at the beginning of ministry

given by our oversight pastor pastor tim

ross

he said michael every summer you need to

take a break and i said i can’t take no

break

we we going after the the the lost and

the founding we’re doing all this for

the kingdom he said yeah yeah but you

can’t lose what’s important

in the midst of all that every summer

you need to take a break and you need to

give specific time to your wife

you need to give specific time to your

kids you need to give specific time

to me the holy spirit

see every series that has blessed your

life relationship goals

came the first series after i took a

break

planet not buried the first series after

i took a break

crazy faith the first series it’s

because i had a moment to recreate

to allow god to minister to me and to

show me things that he needed to correct

and to really make me know watch this

that i ain’t all that

it humbles me the fact that this church

can go without me

like y’all don’t miss me like like it

puts me back in a position that lets me

know that this is god’s church

these are god’s people and this is god’s

work

and so i’m letting you know that after

we finish we got three more weeks i

think of this series maybe four i don’t

know what’s gonna happen

but after this series the beginning of

june we’ll be giving birth to gia

and pastor mike is gonna go on paternity

leave and i’m gonna be out of here

i’m not gonna be answering no dms i’m

not gonna be at the office

i’m not gonna be praying for people

outside unless the holy spirit

specifically says pray for them

like i’m going to take a break and then

i’m taking my extended time of

sabbatical

and i’ll be back in the fall

no no i need to say it that clear

because here’s a chance for spiritual

maturity

because if you only get fed because of

this cook you’re actually not

mature and my responsibility i have to

tell you just like this because this is

a chance for you to mature

the fact that you would vote can god

speak through them in the bible he spoke

through burning bushes

he spoke through animals he spoke

through signs

if you need an aesthetic for god to

speak you’re going to miss him a lot of

the times

i promise you that whoever stands on

this platform

they will hear from god they will have a

word from god

and they will speak a word in season to

you and your family you don’t have to

worry and i’m just believing

that as we said the word is anchored

this year

i think that we would be anchored to the

word of god not anchored to the word of

pastor mike

uh-oh i think we would be anchored to

the spirit of god

and not anchored to the aesthetic of

pastor mike

what i’m saying most pastors are too

insecure to say this to you

but i want you not to be connected to me

more than you are connected to him and

whatever he has to say he can get it

through

anybody and i wanted i felt like this

was a moment to model it in front of you

and can i give you permission

i give you permission to miss a couple

weeks of service

not all at the same time don’t do it all

at the same time but i want you to miss

for the intense

purpose and intentional purpose of

giving to your family

i know i would rather you miss a sunday

here

and be present with your family and

children

and make memories because you don’t know

how many people i counsel right now

who their entire um um testimony is

i don’t know my parents because they

gave their life to the church

and now their view of god is messed up

because your ability

your inability to prioritize

today i want to encourage you as your

pastor is about to take a break and

recreate i want you guys to be praying

for us

we don’t know what the heaven or hell we

doing with four kids

don’t even have a clue and let’s not

even talk about how a dog showed up on

my doorstep yesterday i don’t

i need y’all to pray but we’re in a

season right now of trying to do this

and my commitment

is to transformation church to live

authentically

and hot in front of you humble open and

transparent my plan is to do this as

long as god would have me do it and the

only way we can do that

is if we do it in health so will y’all

pray for your pastor over this next

season

will y’all hold us up and lift us up i’m

excited about what god’s gonna do and

this is going to be i’m speaking it

it’s going to be a summer of growth it’s

going to be a summer of exponential

revelation

this oh y’all don’t even hear me this is

going to be a summer that god

grows the church and expands it and

we’re going to mature amen

somebody say we’re getting anchored

hallelujah

are y’all ready for the word today

i think i got one

um we in week four

of a series we calling help me the

upgrade

and we’re talking about the power the

person

and the presence of the holy spirit let

me say it again

the power the person

and the presence of the holy spirit

and this has been one of the things that

has been kept out of so many people’s

christian walk

and it really is the thing that empowers

them to live

a life that looks like christ you cannot

live like christ

without god on the inside of you

it’s not going to be a good plan or a

good idea

or wanting to do about better you need

the empowerment of the holy spirit

somebody say i need

the empowerment of the holy spirit

now the crazy thing about it is the holy

spirit has had

very bad pr because there’s some crazy

people out here

there’s some people who have never

explained it properly so over this

next this whole six weeks or seven weeks

that we’re doing this series

my job is to represent the holy spirit

to you

and let you see that he is alive he is

active

he’s a person he’s got power and he

wants to change your situation

and so today i feel like i got to be a

teacher

on this day i feel like i got to teach

you some stuff that you were never

taught before and let me be very clear i

was never taught before

raised in church grown up this is why

it’s so important

to discover god for yourself and to go

to the scriptures

what they say ain’t all of it do you

know that there is things that god wants

to reveal

god the holy spirit to you in your

everyday life so i’m going to walk you

through this

and i need you to go with me so that you

can understand this process we got to go

back to higher dimensions

um when i was about nine years old

it’s the church that i grew up in pastor

carlton pearson is actually

three miles down the street where i grew

and i would walk into these services

and there would be this feeling that you

got i mean you come in the music it was

just

angelic and people were singing and you

saw white people and black people

and all different ethnicities and they

were worshiping and you could feel

something that was in the atmosphere and

then there would be just somebody that

blurred out in these unknown tongues

and i was sitting there like okay is

that spanish

can i be very honest with you that’s

badass okay

and then i hear somebody over here and

they’d be going i’m like is that friends

and then somebody going to everybody

that would start speaking in his

language and then all

i was nine years old i remember i was

like i think my

uh children’s church worker

knows a bunch of languages and i went

home

and i would hear my mom speaking in this

unknown tongue

and i was like what in the world is this

did i miss a class do i not

have something that somebody else has

and then i heard this one preacher say

this thing

and this was the definition i thought

of the holy spirit they said this phrase

that today i’m coming to correct

today i’m coming to change the attitude

and the idea it wasn’t said wrong but it

left the wrong

mark on me and it may have left the

wrong mark on you

the the person said today you need to be

filled with the holy spirit

and he said have you been filled with

the holy spirit

with the evidence of speaking in tongues

how many people have heard that before

have you been filled with the holy

spirit with the evidence

of speaking in tongues so in my

nine-year-old mind

i equated that the only way you know

that you’ve been filled with the holy

spirit

is that you can prove it by speaking in

tongues

so my entire christian walk and right

now i’m messing with some people’s

theology some of y’all tight booty right

now

you’re sitting there like oh my god what

is he um go to somebody else td

jakes you’re trying to get there but i’m

gonna teach you today

that i thought all the year up into my

30s

i only been 30 for five years

in the last five years i have

undone this

fallacy that has had me

can i be honest judging people

[Music]

i thought if you did not speak in

tongues you were not filled with the

holy spirit

which made me better than you and now i

can judge you

i’m gonna be real today cause there are

some religious spirits that are in this

place right now

and some some uh traditional christians

that have been sitting from oh they’re

not real

they ain’t filled with the spirit they

don’t got the evidence

now let me help you the bible

never says that the proof of being

filled with the spirit

is that you speak in tongues speaking in

tongues

is very real and i’m going to talk about

that and i’m gonna get and i pray that

everybody speaks in tongues

i want you to know i would not be

standing here today if i did not have a

heavenly language but what i need to do

before i introduce you to the heavenly

language

is break down the walls that have made

there be

separation over this idea of the holy

spirit

it’s not evidence that you have the holy

spirit

it’s a benefit of the holy spirit

speaking in tongues is a benefit

of the holy spirit and this is why we

all need to be

baptized in the holy spirit and when

you’re baptized in the holy spirit

the holy spirit comes with gifts and the

only gift the church talks about

is the gift of speaking in tongues did

you know that the gifts of speaking in

tongues

is one of nine gifts

that the holy spirit brings oh i’m about

to teach this thing in the hole

it is one of the nine gifts that the

holy spirit brings

and it’s the one that we’ve used to

judge other people

can i be very clear with you if you

speak in tongues

it is a benefit if you have received

jesus

and you have allowed him to come into

your life

the holy spirit lives on the inside of

you

some of you have not released the holy

spirit yet to work in your life

so when you get baptized in the holy

spirit

then you release him to bring these

gifts to you

and there are nine gifts of the holy

spirit

that every believer has access to

at all times i just said

access to act all

time and i gotta teach you today okay

acts 19. i feel this thing my teacher is

in here today

acts 19 verse one this is paul while

apollos was in corinth

paul traveled through the interior

regions until he reached ephesus

on the coast where he found several

believers so he walked up there was a

bunch of believers there

and look at the question he asked him

which is a valid question

did you receive the holy spirit

when you believed so it goes back to

last week’s message

that tells you there’s a baptism into

salvation that’s when we believe

then there’s a baptism in water and can

i just stop real quick

and let you know that the 23rd of this

month is flood sunday at transformation

church

and people have said welcome to the holy

spirit can i tell y’all how many people

have signed up as of about an hour ago

to get baptized

fifteen thousand seven hundred and nine

people from 25 different oh y’all better

help me

25 different countries are getting

baptized glory to god

if we don’t do another thing we just

help 15 000 people take their next step

on their journey with christ and you

know what pumps me up about that

is that if fifteen thousand seven

hundred and nine people

have decided that i’m gonna take this

next step and being baptized in water

it just makes me pumped up to see how

many people are gonna take the next step

and be baptized in the holy spirit

and let me just say if you want to be

baptized we are sending

actual physical kits to 15

700 and i pray for the team this week

y’all we’re sending them to

everybody if you want to be included in

that and you want to get baptized we’re

getting baptized in ponds

and kiddie pools in hot tubs and jacuzzi

tubs

in in neighborhood pools on the 23rd i’m

telling you it may be a guinness world

record i don’t know what’s about to

happen but we are going to

baptize as many people as want to if you

want to be baptized

text in to the number that’s on your

screen and and if you text in by

midnight tonight right by midnight

tonight we’re going to send you a

physical package

and if you’re watching this after on

rebroadcast do not worry

we’ll still still send you a digital kit

so you can do everything and get

baptized but i feel like we’re about to

see a revival

something start up on the inside

but this is the thing that we we we have

to see

paul comes to these believers and said

did you receive the holy spirit

when you believed and look what they

said no

and this is like most of y’all before

the upgrade we haven’t even heard of the

holy spirit

do you know how many believers serve

on the worship team go through

everything and have never even

heard of the holy spirit so then look

what paul says like i’m saying to you

then what baptizing

baptism did you experience what were you

baptized then if you haven’t heard of

the holy spirit

and they replied you know the baptism of

john what he was doing down there paul

said john’s baptism

called for repentance from sin that’s

salvation but john

himself told the people to believe in

the one who would come later meaning

jesus

and as soon as they heard this they were

baptized in the name of the lord jesus

watch verse six

then paul laid hands on them

the holy spirit came on them and they

spoke in other tongues

and prophesied

the holy spirit gives gifts

right after he prayed for these

disciples two of them showed up

and most of us only found one

he said they spoke in tongues and they

i’m just trying to show you that we’re

not going to maximize on one and leave

out everything that the holy spirit has

for us

okay speaking in tongues is real

i speak in tongues every day i speak in

spoken tongues with our executive team

and our pastors right before we came out

here

every meeting that we have at this

church no matter if you’re a cameraman

to everybody

we pray and many of us are speaking in

tongues

monday night prayer if you want to come

and hear a world when

of people praying out in their heavenly

language come tomorrow night at 6 pm on

youtube

we pray but can i make a very strong

statement

tongues is not evidence of the holy

spirit

it’s a benefit of the holy spirit

don’t judge another believer

based on if they can speak in a heavenly

language or not

that is a spirit of criticism and it’s

the spirit of

judgment and i’ma show you a little bit

later

that that person’s prayer has more

chance to reaching heaven

than yours even if you do speak in

tongues okay

i just gotta say y’all feel the

tightness in the room right now

i’m gonna try to help you because i need

us to be able to have a biblical view

on what the scriptures say about the

gifts of the holy spirit so then we can

display it

to people in a way that they can receive

it first corinthians 12

1 it says now concerning spiritual gifts

brethren

watch this i do not want you to be

ignorant

the whole reason i’m preaching this is

because i don’t want the church

another day to be ignorant of the gifts

of the holy spirit

and i didn’t say stupid i didn’t say

that you were dumb

you were just void of understanding

and there’s a lot of things in this

christian walk

because of leaders because of maybe the

denomination because of

other people we are void of teaching

that the word is very clear on well

that’s not sexy enough

like i don’t even care if the numbers

are going down on youtube right now

because people aren’t checked in the 25

000 people that are checked into this

they’re gonna get an upgrade in their

ability to understand the holy spirit

and they will no longer be ignorant

void of understanding but because you

need the holy spirit to live this life

and so i want to talk about the benefits

of the holy spirit so that we’re not

ignorant of it

is that okay now i don’t know if i

should make this a bible study class

there’s so much to teach right now

and so little time so let me just help

you because i want to develop an

appetite

for people to study the word of god if

you’re only listening to pastor mike you

have missed the point

i give you all these scriptures and all

these points so that you would go home

and in your quiet time daily you will

look up those scriptures and god can

give you watch this a better revelation

than i got

when you study and ask the holy spirit

for wisdom so i’m gonna give you

um categories four categories of gifts

in the bible

and write this down and go study it on

your own time there are motivational

gifts according to romans 12.

there’s motivational gifts according to

romans 12. i cannot go

through them all right now but i want

you to go through them the one that i’m

going to talk about today

is that there’s manifestation gifts in

first corinthians 12

and we’re going to walk through all of

those today then there are ministry

gifts found in first corinthians 14

so you need to walk through that whole

thing and then there are ministerial

gifts

found in ephesians 4 and these are the

gifts of jesus this is the pastor

prophet teacher

evangelist apostle and i don’t have time

to go through all of that today

but there are gifts that we get

as a benefit of believing in jesus

my question to you is how many gifts

have you left unwrapped

excuse me how many gifts have you left

unopened

they’re still wrapped up you’ve got them

and you have access to them

but they are still unopened

because you’re scared of what somebody

else will think about it

because somebody was weird who taught

about it no no no

i’m gonna dispel all that today and i

want you to get these gifts

so you can actually benefit everybody

say benefit

this is the thing i need you to

understand you don’t have the gifts

the holy spirit possesses these gifts

and you have the holy spirit

let me back up because some of y’all was

like hold on i thought you said i got

access to the gifts

you do because the holy spirit the

person of the holy spirit

possesses all nine of these gifts and

because you accept the holy spirit

now you have access to all these gifts

people like i have the gift of prophecy

no you don’t

the holy spirit has the gift of prophecy

and because you listen to the holy

spirit

you can prophesy i’m going to help you

so many people have walked around

claiming something that they can’t do on

demand

they’ve walked around holding these

titles and going to another place and

call me prophetess

and prophet and this and all i’m good

i’m good with your titles

as long as you know you are not the gift

holder

and that’s why it’s so backwards that a

prophetess or a pastor or somebody would

make somebody feel smaller

because they’re not on a platform and

the same holy spirit that’s speaking to

you up there

is the same holy spirit speaking to me

on the floor of my daughter’s room

telling me to write down that this

building would be ours

this is what i’ve got to calm down this

is what i’m trying to tell you right now

is you don’t have the gifts the holy

spirit has the gifts

and because you have the holy spirit you

have

access everybody say access to nine

gifts

how can i make it plain um okay there we

bella my daughter thinks she has an ipad

she don’t have no ipad she ain’t bought

an ipad she don’t pay

the payments for the ipad she does not

have an ipad but she has a daddy

and because she has a daddy she has

access

to the ipad and if you ask her

this is my ipad but when it comes down

to it the only reason she

is able to benefit

is because of her relationship

all i’m trying to say with you your

relationship with the holy spirit

is more important than anything that

you’ve ever manifested or made

known because he’s the one that is an

endless source of understanding an

endless source of creativity

and in the source of wisdom and you

somehow thought you made that up

and you thought that was your idea

and what i’m telling you is that the

holy spirit

is the one that gives the gifts so let

me run through all nine of these because

it’s going to it’s going to take a

minute okay

um god lee i don’t know how i’m going to

do this

because i could preach a whole message

on each one of these things

y’all ready can i go wrap it through

them so i can show you what it is

there’s three categories of these nine

gifts the first are the discerning gifts

okay and these are all found in

scripture in first corinthians

the first one is a word of knowledge

write this definition down

a word of knowledge is to know something

specific

without having learned it by natural

means

the holy spirit carries a gift that you

can have access to as he wields

of a word of knowledge you see it in

jesus’s life

when he’s with the woman at the whale

and some of y’all would say well no

jesus is god no remember that he laid

down all of his divinity

to be able to rely on the holy spirit to

be an example for

us so he’s with the woman at the well

and

and and jesus says um tell your husband

to come here

and she says well i don’t have a husband

he said that’s right because you have

five husbands and the one that you’re

with

he’s not your husband right now she said

i think he’s a prophet

that was a word of knowledge

and what you can walk into when you go

into that board room and you don’t know

what to say

is you can say holy spirit give me a

word of knowledge

tell me what i need to say that i don’t

know the physics of how all of this

works and the science behind all of this

but i know you know everything so give

me a word of knowledge i can’t tell you

how many rooms i’ve walked in

had no earthly understanding

of what they were saying and they said

three words and the holy spirit

illuminated what i was supposed to say

in that meeting

are they looking at me like how long

have you studied this

and i’m looking at them like oh please

don’t find me out

but it was the holy spirit giving a word

of knowledge that

is a gift that is available to you

through the holy spirit the next one

a word of wisdom a word of wisdom is a

divine answer or solution

for a particular event you can have an

answer for something that you don’t know

but he knows and it allows to come

through you

i use this every day pastoring this

church

i get words of wisdom do you remember

bree

when um we were in um a very

very very tough situation as a staff

and we were trying to figure out who to

hire in a specific situation

and bree and me leave a meeting

praying she goes to sleep wakes up in

the morning she said i got it mike

i know who it is and i’m calling them

right now and i said um

god didn’t speak to me about it

god god didn’t he didn’t tell me the

pastor

he didn’t give me insight

that’s not what i said i said what is

the word of wisdom what did he tell you

see because when you realize that you’re

around people that have the holy spirit

in them the answer comes from him but it

can come through anybody

the answer does not have to come from me

to be him and because i was secure that

i had a friend

and a partner that heard the holy spirit

this is why it’s so important who you

marry

because you don’t know which way to go

unless the holy spirit leads you in some

certain situations

and you need to make sure that you are

hearing and you don’t both have to hear

it as long as you know one of y’all

is actually hearing it and god spoke to

brie

and we called that person and just the

right moment and the right time and god

lined everything up and now she’s an

intricate part

of our staff what did god do he gave

bree in that moment

the answer to a particular problem

that we weren’t even thinking about it

was a word

of wisdom and i need you to begin to

know that this is an available gift

a benefit of the holy spirit in your

life

the last one in this category of the

discerning of gifts this is called the

discerning of spirits

to be made aware of the presence of a

demonic spirit

this one the church

has to up your game

because some of y’all be taking pictures

with devils

birthday and i can see the spirit

but you’re not you’re not discerning of

spirits you thought they were coming

to just connect with you

but they are going to connect with you

and they’re going to keep you in a cycle

for the next five months and if you

don’t have people around you that can

discern spirits

another this is not spooky this is a

benefit

like if your marriage is jacking up and

there’s a demonic attack against the

the unity of your household wouldn’t you

like to be able to see

that spirit coming and be able to attack

and bind it and lose it because you can

see it you never fight an enemy you

don’t think it’s there

and so many of us are getting wore out

cause we can’t see the enemy

i’m gonna have to do a whole series on

this y’all

but a spiritual gift that the holy

spirit brings

is the discerning of spirits since we’re

on the topic of correcting things can i

correct something else real quick

there’s no gift of discernment

people get it from this scripture and

people

should discern but there’s no gift of

discernment what i found is when people

say i have the gift of discernment

really they have the spirit of being

critical

and what they end up doing is they start

reading people

that tears them down and they say i have

the spirit of discernment

biblically there’s no spirit of

discernment so you just sound a little

left

when you say that there is the

discerning of

spirits which is so that

you can edify each other

help me holy spirit when i see

somebody hanging with somebody that has

an evil spirit and i discern that i

don’t go to the person and start

reading that person i go to the person

that needs to be safe and i say hey

listen the relationship that you have

with them it seems amazing

but there’s such a call of god on your

life and it’s very crucial

who you have being able to speak into

your life at this season

i want to encourage you to make sure

that the people that are around you

are lifting you up are praying for you

are leading you towards this

this person seems good but i just

deserve i have a spiritual discernment

a gift that the holy spirit has given me

not something that i’m claiming that i’m

the only one that has

but it’s something that the holy spirit

showed me and i want to let you know

that if you do nothing with this i’m

praying for you and i’m praying for that

relationship

oh excuse me and actually do it

can we normalize not saying i’ma pray

for you

if you’re not actually gonna pray for

them like if you gonna actually pray for

them some of y’all need to just stop and

do it then

cause you know you lying if you’re gonna

walk away from that conversation

and start praying for them i’m on one

today pray for your pastor

so the discerning gifts are a word of

knowledge

word of wisdom and the discerning of

spirits

and and that is the first three let me

give you the second three they’re the

declarative gifts

these are gifts that the holy spirit

brings who brings them

who brings them who gets to benefit

from them who gets to benefit me

i want you to understand this that we

have

gifts that we get to benefit from and

the next three are declarative gifts

ones that use your mouth

and all three of these gifts are for

edification

encouragement and watch this not

correction

i gotta help you because this first one

a lot of people use for correction

the first gift is prophecy

and prophecy is a message of

encouragement

from god through a person

and i’ve heard so many people

stand people up and read them up and

down

and say you’re just gonna have to deal

with it thus says the lord

a message of encouragement from god

through a person be careful

of putting your opinions out there and

saying thus says the lord jeremiah tells

us very clearly

be careful there are consequences for

saying god

said and he didn’t like i am very

normalized with my team and staff

of being like y’all i don’t know if this

is god or not

but i feel like they respect me

more for not throwing the god card out

there

in prayer last night at 4 00 a.m why is

it always at 4am you’re not asleep at

4am i’m sleepy most of the time at 4am

but you could say on my way to to work

today

i felt like and if it’s god say it’s god

but if it’s not god keep your mouth shut

because prophecy is a word of

encouragement

from god through regular people okay

first corinthians 14

31 because people are looking at me they

tight right now

watch this for you can

all prophesy can we go back and say read

that one more time

for you can say it oh prophet

i don’t care what your past has been and

i don’t care how many mistakes you’ve

made

once you release the holy spirit in your

life

you have the ability and the

availability to prophesy

to speak something that is to come for

the encouragement of people

that are listening it says for you can

all prophesy

one by one that all

may learn and all may be

encouraged it’s bible

so be weary of somebody that tells you

to pay them 99

i’m messing up somebody’s whole 2022

right now

but be leery of somebody that tells you

to pay a 99

to get a prophetic word and then all

they do is tear you down

and tell you how

prophecy is for encourage me

let me just move on because i’m getting

in trouble right there the declarative

gifts

the next one is tongues

what happened everybody got

quiet on that one huh tongues watch

a message from god in a language unknown

to the person through whom the message

comes

tongues is not scary tongues is not

weird

all it is is a message from god in a

language

unknown to the person i don’t know this

language through whom the message

comes next week i’m spending the entire

service talking about speaking in

tongues

you do not want to miss the revelation

that is coming next week

and about your heavenly language but

there’s a couple of things i want to

make clear in this sermon

there is a difference as you study the

word between the gift of tongues

and the grace of tongues okay

the gift of tongues is when you start

speaking in the heavenly language

and you’re speaking to another man or

woman it needs

interpretation this is the scriptural

reference for me

so when i start going in my tongues but

i’m talking or speaking to somebody

the bible tells me it needs

interpretation

then there is the grace of tongues which

is to

god and it is our prayer language

they sound the same but who

you are directing them to delineates

how where and when you’re supposed to do

this

nobody ever taught me this but if i’m

speaking in tongues

over a person or to a person the bible

says interpret that

let them know what that actually says

which we’re going to get to in a minute

because that’s another gift

of the holy spirit it’s not just tongues

it’s tongues and the

interpretation of tongues but when you

start praying in your heavenly language

it sounds the same but it’s directed

to god and the bible tells us that when

we pray in the spirit we begin to pray

the groanings the mind and the will of

the father we don’t know how to pray as

we are and we begin to speak things into

existence

that we couldn’t form with regular

language it is

better for us to pray in our tongues

when we’re talking to god but it is not

better when we’re talking to somebody

else

i know nobody’s told you this but you

got to be able to interpret let me help

you first corinthians 14 27

if anyone speaks in a tongue let there

two or at the most three each in turn

and let one of them people interpret

i didn’t hear what you and god just said

help me be edified

so interpret but we leave this out

because we have not

understood it so i’m going to help you

but if there is no interpreter

let him keep silent in church

is the bible i know you this the part

you don’t like and let him

speak to himself so you can still do it

to yourself

and to go so when i’m

in church and i begin to speak in

tongues

i’m not doing it as a filler because i

forgot what i was going to say

because you forgot the scripture you

were supposed to go to

i i just got to be honest with you it

has become

habit more than holy

it’s a habit that you have of hey

da like you just felt something and

instead of saying that felt good you say

it’s a habit that many times you picked

up from somebody else that was ignorant

of the truth

and you’re not a bad person if this is

your habit i just want you to know what

scripture says

about it so that you can govern yourself

accordingly

i come into services and worship is

going and i speak in tongues

to myself it says you can still speak in

tongues

to yourself and to god

so when i’m in a situation and i’m

sitting over here before every service

on my knees you better believe i’m not

speaking out of my understanding

i don’t have that but i’m not getting up

here to you

and speaking in tongues why i’m going to

show it right here go to first

corinthians 14 23.

therefore if the whole church comes

together in one place like we are today

and all speak with tongues and there

come

in those who are uninformed or

unbelievers will they not say

these people lost their mind but if all

prophesy or speak in english make it

clear

and an unbeliever or an uninformed

person comes into that

service he will be convinced by all

he will be convicted by all and thus the

secrets of his

heart will be revealed and so

falling down on his face because i

didn’t speak in tongues out of habit

i made it plain what god was saying he

will worship god

and report that god is truly among you

that’s nasty bible that at some point

you’re gonna have to grapple with

i’m not coming to tell you that you’re

wrong or you’re right i’m just gonna put

the bible out here

and i’m gonna let you have to wrestle

with what you have done

for many years how you have felt about

people that don’t speak in tongues

and maybe that there is a difference

in what we do in church and what we do

in our quiet time the problem is most of

you don’t have a devotion life

outside of this time so if you can’t get

your full expression off within 90

minutes of this service

you feel like somebody’s quenching you

baby you should be praying every day

you should be going to god i don’t not

have 20 minutes

that i’m not praying i am in my car in

shower at the bank i am praying and

seeking god’s will

but if you leave your whole relationship

with god relocate it to an hour on

sunday mornings you will be depleted and

unhealthy and so what god is saying is

yeah yeah you should pray in tongues all

the time but when we come into this

because somebody once asked me why don’t

you be praying in tongues pastor mike

on sunday mornings it’s because i have

the uninformed

and the unbeliever at thousands

at the numbers of thousands watching the

same holy spirit

is here though and he’s given me words

of wisdom

how many of y’all have said how did he

know that it seemed like pastor mike’s

talking directly to me

that’s the same power of the holy spirit

at work touching individual situations

and we have how many people have gotten

saved this year

at tc how many oh almost 30 000 people

have gotten saved

now what now now listen

the bible’s telling us if i would have

just sat up here for two hours and spoke

in tongues

they wouldn’t have got it

all i’m telling you is that tongues is

so powerful

but it’s now in a place for us to have

the understanding

to be able to know when where and how

when we come together in a staff meeting

with our team you better believe if you

turn the camera on in there you gonna

hear robocop

all of us should have bought a honda and

couldn’t tie my bow tie you’re gonna

hear all of it

but when i come here on sunday mornings

i’m gonna make sure everything that i

have i have an interpretation for

so that it can be profitable for the

hero so the third one in that category

is the interpretation of tongues

and write this definition down it’s

understanding and expressing the thought

or the intent

of the message in tongues so i need to

clarify this there’s a difference

between

um translation and interpretation

so somebody can speak in tongues and

what the bible said is there needs to be

a a interpretation not a translation

so that’s why you can hear somebody

speak in tongues and then somebody will

say i have an

interpretation of that god says have

peace and it was like hold on that baby

he spoke in tongues for like 20 minutes

and then

and then he just said god said that

doesn’t match up it does because it’s

not a translation a translation

it’s word for word everything that’s

happening what god’s calling for is an

interpretation

so you can have a long time of speaking

in tongues and a short interpretation of

that or you can have a short inter um

speak time of speaking in tongues and a

long

interpretation of that why is that

important because

if you don’t understand this god will

speak to somebody i’ve been in tons of

prayer circles

where somebody begins to pray in the

spirit and then somebody else on the

other side of the room says god says

that everybody needs to rest

this is the season of rest and it was

like god

was speaking through that person and

picked up in the other person

and it gave all of us the ability

whether you are a believer or an

unbeliever now we can do that in front

of anybody

the scripture is very clear if you are

going to do tongues

in front of the uninformed and the

unbeliever there must be

interpretation because then

even if they didn’t get the blah blah

blah blah blah blah blah blah when

somebody says and god says there needs

to be peace

got it peace okay got that one okay

peace i got that

y’all get i’m trying to i’m trying to

take something that’s really big

and disarm it but this is the truth of

god’s word

first corinthians 14 i need everybody

to take this down because you’re gonna

have to write you’re gonna have to

wrestle with this

first corinthians 14 5. i wish

you all spoke with tongues

who wrote this somebody says paul wrote

it paul penned it

but the holy spirit wrote that

and even if you like i don’t believe

okay this

is the greatest apostle that ever walked

the face of the earth wrote one-third of

the new testament that’s one-third more

than you

so i just want us to be very clear that

this is his language and theology

i wish you all spoke with tonks

for every person that came from a

denomination that spoke against this

for every person that had a weird auntie

that just threw anointing oil on you

instead of feeding you

you know it’s like i gotta eat like the

holy spirit will fill you up like no i’m

hungry

y’all don’t know there’s some weird

stuff out here all i’m saying is forget

all of that

the greatest apostle that ever lived

said i wish you all

spoke with tongues and it says but even

than that that you prophesied

for he who so he’s saying he’s bringing

value to the other gifts

he’s saying for he who prophesies is

greater than he who speaks in tongues

unless

there’s an interpretation that the

church would receive what

edification it’s about building each

other up

it’s about helping people see what they

can’t see

it’s about using these gifts of the

spirit to build up your children and

build up your husband and build up your

mother

and build up your wife and build up the

people in your department

everybody say build them up and why is

it in the church that we think that for

us to get ahead

we got to tear somebody down maybe we’re

not working in the holy spirit

let me give you the last three the

dynamic gifts and this is the gifts i

like these

that word dynamic comes from the word

dunamis

and that word means power these are the

power gifts

and it actually means explosive power

like the dunamis

these are explosive gifts that will be

unlocked and released and whose gifts

are they the holy spirit

but who gets the benefit me i can walk

in the explosive power of these gifts

every day of my life the first one is

faith

this my womb it’s a supernatural

impartation of belief and confidence

for a specific situation

when pastor mike got that word

that the spirit bank event center would

be transformation church

the holy spirit imparted me the

dunamis explosion power of faith into my

life

and i walk in this this is my life story

me and the holy spirit

i mean if you ask anybody on the team

anybody around i

have the gift of faith that the holy

spirit provides to me daily

i just have supernatural belief yeah

this can happen

and god’s going to do it and he’s going

to make a way and there’s going to be

more like i have the supernatural

ability to believe

and i’m not special

you have access

to the explosive gift

of faith you don’t got to wish yourself

happy you just need to ask the holy

spirit

god i’ve been in this bad situation over

and over

holy spirit release the gift of faith on

let me be able to believe you like never

before

let me let me be able to stand and this

is the thing this

gift of the holy spirit and these gifts

of the holy spirit it’s just god

breathing into the situation

it’s in the new testament it’s there’s

types and shadows in the old testament

let me tell you something i found out in

the scripture you remember our father of

faith

what’s his name abraham and and his name

was not abraham first what was it

abram and what god did was

put an h in his name

and the the ancient way that you say

that is rua

and it means spirit of god or the breath

of god so what god

did was take him from a mortal man

and he put his spirit how do you say an

he you have to breathe out to be able

he put his spirit in abraham and now he

becomes the

father of our faith because he had the

spirit of god on the inside of him and

you know he did the same thing

to sarai

his wife’s name was sarai and he took

out the eye

that’ll preach by itself if you would

take out the eye

i don’t feel like it i don’t know what

people will think about that

i don’t want people if you take out the

eye and put in the spirit of

the god power of god would be able to

come into your life and change

everything i’m preaching up here i don’t

care what nobody’s saying

listen you can have the dynamic gift of

faith

how many people need more faith for

situations come on let’s be

if you have the holy spirit you have

access

to faith the next one is gifts of

healing

and this is a dunamis power gift

supernatural endowments

of divine health can i tell you

that there are situations that you’re

going to the doctor for

that there’s nothing wrong with the

doctor that before you go to the doctor

you could literally say holy spirit

give me the gift of healing

your son took stripes on the cross so

that i could be healed

why are you telling us this pastor might

you never can open a gift that you don’t

know you have

so many people don’t know that the gift

of and it’s plural healings

it’s not the gift of healing it’s the

gift of healing

you can believe for the gift of healing

for somebody else i remember when we

were in youth ministry

there was a young lady that we knew and

we loved that was diagnosed with cancer

and to watch these young people

who had just met the holy spirit still

crazy still probably doing all kind of

dumb stuff

but for some reason it was like the holy

spirit gave our youth ministry

the gifts of healing to watch young kids

who just had their hand on a blunt

put their hand on this young girl and

begin to believe that

god would heal her and today the cancer

that was tumors in our brain

is gone y’all don’t hear me in the

building right now

that there are gifts of healing

that god wants to release to you the

same way he wants to release faith

and even as i’m saying that some of you

are challenged in your thought process

but god ain’t scared he’s never been

intimidated by a doctor’s report

and he’s never been intimidated by what

and how long somebody has dealt with

something

ask the woman with the issue of blood

oscar was 12 years too long

but still at the moment that she reached

out and touched the hem of his garment

something that she went to every doctor

for

one touch from god changed everything

last one in the dynamic gifts the

working of miracles

divine intervention that alters

natural circumstances can i just ask you

a question

how many people in your life have

experienced a miracle

hands lifted all over the all over the

world dang that’s a lot of people

what makes you think god stopped doing

them

i just no no i know you grew up

you got bills or you you dealt with the

harsh realities of a sin

filled world and how there’s injustice

and wrong things and it reigns on the

just and the unjust

but god never stopped doing miracles he

did them in the old testament

he did them in the new testament you

just saw all the people around you he’s

done them in our lives

what makes you think that the holy

spirit does not want to give us the gift

of working miracles can i help you

you don’t need to wait in a line to get

one specific person to pray for you

the holy spirit is available

to you everybody say right now

like at this moment if there’s anything

ailing you in your body touch that spot

right now

come on i know i feel the presence of

god right now if anything i’m about to

prove to you and we’re going to get

testimonies

i feel the presence of god we’re going

to get testimonies

from people who the holy spirit i need

y’all to begin

to pray and believe right now holy

spirit come on ask him

holy spirit do a miracle in my life

holy spirit do a miracle some people are

holding their necks

and some people are holding their heads

and some people are touching their heart

and some people are touching their ankle

and thyroid i want you to begin to ask

the holy spirit holy spirit could you

give me the gift

of working of miracles right now father

they say

the miracles don’t happen anymore but

right now god

i’m thanking you that you’re gonna do a

miracle right now and the miracles

are gonna be a sign and a wonder for the

unbelievers father do it in us right now

yeah we’re that church that believes in

miracles

we’re that church that believes that god

can still do the impossible

if you want to go somewhere else you can

but we’re that church

that will see god still do the things

that everybody else says

is impossible and what but better gift

on mother’s day for some of you mothers

that god do a miracle that that wayward

son who’s far away from you

oh i’m talking about a miracle something

that would take divine intervention

i’m talking about a miracle come on i’m

talking about a miracle

something that would allow every

definition

that has been set up into this point to

be defied

these are the gifts of the holy spirit

let me sit down and talk to y’all

um let me just let me be real clear

the holy spirit has gifts

that he wants you to access every day

and if you’re living without the power

of the holy spirit working in your

everyday life

you are missing out on such a

powerful amazing

awesome benefit of having the holy

spirit with you

where’s the evidence pastor mike it’s

not evidence

it’s what benefits

but i did this whole thing

to tell you there is evidence

there is evidence that the holy spirit

lives in you

and it’s not speaking in tongues

do you want to know what the evidence is

that the holy spirit actually has taken

up residence and you’ve released them in

your life

it’s found in galatians galatians 5.

they’re called the fruits of the

spirit for these are the

fruit or the evidence you only get

fruit if something was actually planted

there

i’ma walk you through this you can’t get

apple if an apple seed was never planted

it can look like an apple tree but the

only evidence

that there was an actual apple seed put

there

is the fruit so can i tell you

that there is evidence if the holy

spirit really does live in you

and it’s the fruit of your life

and the fruits of the spirit are what

help me

love joy huh pete

that no y’all let’s read it they don’t

even get it

go to go to galatians 5 22 but the fruit

or the evidence

of the spirit that you have them is what

love

joy say it all out peace long-suffering

kindness goodness faithfulness

gentleness self-control against such

there is no law can you write this point

down if you really have the holy spirit

the proof is in your fruit

i’ve met more mean tongue-talking

christians you ain’t got no evidence

you’re selfish and mean but you can

speak in tongues

there’s no proof that you have the holy

spirit

you can prophesy but you’re not kind to

people

ain’t this what it says you can speak

mysteries but you’re not faithful

you don’t keep your word we can’t trust

you at all

but you know what thus says the lord

there’s no fruit

stop telling me because you can shout

you got i feel the spirit no you’re

mean and because you’re mean

and you’re selfish and you do not keep

your word there’s no

evidence of the holy spirit being in you

it’s the bible

if the holy spirit is in you it should

produce fruit in your life

and if there’s no fruit don’t check the

seed check the soil

it’s tight but it’s right happy mother’s

day

let me just prove it to you with one

more scripture because

i just need you to know that it would be

better

for us to display love joy peace

long-suffering kindness goodness

faithfulness gentleness and self-control

it would be better for us to do that

that would prove the spirit actually

controls us

then dancing speaking in tongues

prophesying to everybody

all of that stuff is good but the proof

the evidence that people see in your

life

do you know who the greatest testimony

is of

or the greatest witness witnesses are if

you actually have the holy spirit

your kids and family

you can fool everybody out here

but the fact your kids don’t love god

the fact the people around you can’t

stand to be around you

they feel forced to celebrate you

there’s no fruit what i’m trying to come

and tell you is it’s time

for the fruitless church to get planted

again

and to come back to a place where you

say holy spirit feel me again

fill me up let me not just be able to

prophesy and speak in tongues and do

this

let me love people who look

nothing like me and have done me wrong

god let me be long-suffering with that

youth

or that child or that team member that

gets my last nerve you know the one

that’s back here and i only got three

nerves and they

dancing on this last nerve let me be

long suffering remember the holy spirit

comes to empower you

to do what you cannot naturally do on

your own

it is hard for me to love people i don’t

it is hard for me to have joy when y’all

make me mad and i’m depressed it is hard

for me to have peace when everything’s

going chaotic around me

it’s hard for me to be kind when i was

raised in a toxic household

it’s hard for me to see goodness in

others when i don’t see goodness in

myself

it’s hard for me to be faithful when i’m

suspicious of everybody

leaving me it’s hard to be gentle when

i’ve only be

been handled harsh

it’s hard for me to have self-control

when i’m used to doing whatever i feel

but the holy spirit oh i feel that thing

right now

but everybody say but the holy spirit

you can put that

in front of anything i used to do this

but the holy spirit

i can’t usually stand people like this

but the holy spirit

i usually would fall right here but the

holy spirit

you better put a but the holy spirit in

front of everything you’re going through

i would have left this marriage but the

holy spirit

transformation church would have been

another one hit

three-year success story but

the holy spirit

somebody say but the holy spirit

and that’s why i’m just trying to get us

to understand

don’t leave eight of the nine gifts on

the table

get the benefits and have the evidence

have the nine gifts that we get because

we have the holy spirit

but then have the evidence of the fruits

of the spirit

i’ll sum it up at first corinthians 13.

there’s a lot of bible but it’s so good

i don’t even want to add no words to it

if you speak in the tongues that’s what

we just talked about

of men and angels so you got your

heavenly language together and you got

your language to people together okay

but do not have love

i am only a resounding gong

or a clapping symbol is this what we

look like to people

a church full of symbols

who when you come to your church when

you open your mouth

just a bunch of noise

you go to your workplace well i have an

idea let’s hear your idea

go to your family reunion because you

don’t have love and you think you’re

better than them when you walk in there

so what have you been doing johnny oh

god’s been good to me

you get on a platform in front of a

bunch of people

god gave me a word for you today

and that’s the sound of many churches

it’s the praise and worship leader

we don’t hear his presence

this is how your small group looks

this is how our family pictures look

a bunch of noisy believers

why because we can prophesy

we can use all the gifts but there’s no

evidence

if you don’t have love just like a noisy

symbol

and if you have the gifts of prophecy

and can and can fathom all

mysteries and all knowledge and never

have all the faith these are all the

things that we just talked about

that can move mountains but do not have

what

love evidence i am nothing

if i give all my possessions to the poor

and give over my body to hardship

that i may boast but do not have love

i gain nothing

love is patient

love is kind it does not envy

it does not boast it’s not proud it does

not dishonor others

it is not self-seeking it is not easily

angered

it keeps no records of wrongs love

does not delight in evil but rejoices

with the truth

it always protects always trust

always hopes always persevere

love never fails and that

love can only be empowered by the holy

spirit but where there are prophecies

they will cease where there are tongues

they will be stealed y’all this is the

bible

where there is knowledge it will pass

away

for we know in part and we prophesy in

part

but when completeness comes what is in

part

disappears when i was a child look at it

we’re going back to maturity

see we always quote this scripture but

we quote it out of context we don’t know

where it comes from

this is talking about us being

spiritually mature because we have

evidence

in the fruit in our lives it says for

when i was a child

um i talked like a child

i thought like a child i reason like a

child i’m an add one

i sounded like a scientist

but when i became a man

i put childish things away

for now we see only a reflection

as in a mirror then we shall see face to

face

now i know in part then i shall know

fully

even as i am fully known and now these

three remain

my dad used to say this scripture to us

all the time

faith hope and love

but the greatest of these is love

it’s the evidence that the spirit of god

works in you

that you can love people your heavenly

language without love

is just loud

these gifts all nine of them are from

the holy spirit

and he wants you to take advantage of

every single one of them

but some of you have ignored these gifts

you know about them

and there’s nothing worse than an

ignored gift something that somebody

paid

for and it’s available but you just

ignored it and then others of you have

neglected this gift

and some of us have been products

of people who perverted these gifts

but the holy spirit is here to empower

you

in everything that is hard in your life

write that down

the holy spirit is built to empower you

in the heart whatever is hard for you

the holy spirit said let me step into

that let me help you with that

let me give you let let me give you

proof

that i’m real and today all i want you

to do

is receive the gift

of the holy spirit he’s the gift

and he comes with gifts

remember i don’t know if you’ve ever

seen those little things that open up

and then there’s another one and you

open them up there’s another one and you

open them up there’s

y’all know what i’m talking about my my

family used to travel and it’d be like

this weird looking man or woman

on this little thing and and then you

take one off and then there’s another

one and you take one off and it just

keeps building

jesus left us the holy spirit

that was the gift but when you open that

up there’s more

and you open that up there’s more and

you open that up

there’s more today

receive the gift of the holy spirit

pastor i’m like you’ve been going on

this

for four weeks now it’s because i don’t

know how you’re living

without the empowerment of holy spirit

i can’t do it i can’t be a good husband

a show can’t be a pastor i can’t be a

good son i cannot i don’t have it within

to be able to do what i know god’s

called

unless i have the empowerment of the

holy spirit

this is why people turn to substances

it’s because they buckle under the

weight of life

and they need something to empower them

to stay

consistent even if it’s killing them

we have many relationships that we go to

success that we go to

alcohol pills whatever it is

the holy spirit is saying could i can i

come in and give you the empowerment

that you need

and can i make it evident to people

through love joy peace patience kindness

can i make it evident that i changed you

you know one of the craziest things that

people say about me that knew me back in

the day when i was wilding

and now that know me now they say

something’s changed in you

i mean you’re the same person but like

you’ve but

something’s different about you

and all i can think in my mind is it’s

the holy spirit

like the only thing that took me from

being a liar and a manipulator and

addicted to pornography

was not that i had enough will not to

look at the website

you know how many times i failed that i

tried that

yeah it was like well since i’ve done it

let’s make it a weak binge

of being in the wrong space

and the enemy says yeah that’s the good

idea go further and further down the

hole

but when i get the empowerment of the

holy spirit

i can want to and not do it

ain’t nobody that real with you i can

literally be

in the place where i want like i’m i

want to do this and the holy spirit

will rise up on me so there’s so much
