What Jesus Showed Me at the Edge of Heaven Amazed Me…

now Gary you’re a second generation

preacher in fact your father pastored a

church in West Memphis that Elvis used

to attend occasionally did and your dad

had a dream a prophetic dream about

Elvis shortly before Elvis died that’s

right yeah and I want to hear about that

in just a moment but throughout your

life you’ve had so many Supernatural

things happen you were saved at age 8

and then at age 14 you had your first

out ofbody experience tell me about that

yeah uh when I was 14 I was in my

bedroom and uh was just uh laying on the

bed and spending some time with God uh

worshiping and I sensed had my eyes

closed and I sense that there was

something unusual happening and um I

don’t really know why I perceived it as

such but I just

knew uh that my spirit was rising up up

above my body and um I kept my eyes

closed cuz I don’t mind telling you it

was a little frightening it was a first

experience of that nature yeah and um so

my my spirit kind of it seemed like it

hovered above me um about 3 or 4 feet

above me as I just continued to worship

but there was an intense presence of God

that came and that went on for a few

minutes and then I I felt that the

spirit reunited in my body and after

that time my life changed in that I

started becoming much much more

sensitive to the things of the spirit

wow uh let’s uh let’s jump to what

happened to your mom now she was

diagnosed with a a brain tumor what what

happened yeah when I was in college it

was about

1971 um my mom started having severe

headaches they hospitalized her and did

whatever technology was available at

that time to scan the brain and found a

significant

tumor and uh they said that’s what’s

causing the headaches and some other

symptoms and so they’re very concerned

about the tumor of course scheduled her

for

surgery and while she was in the

hospital waiting for the surgery as it

was out several days uh from when she

first entered uh she stopped having the

headaches and uh they did what was a

routine thing to do they scanned her

brain uh the day before the

surgery and they couldn’t find a tumor

and so the doctor came into my mom’s

room the surgeon and said um does that

candle somebody had visited my mom and

given her a candle said does that have

anything to do with your religion and

she said no why he said because I would

want to order a case of them he said we

can’t understand it your brain tumor is

gone okay but that that was amazing but

that’s not the end of the story there

was some kind of surgery a hysterctomy

that they’ve been wanting your mom to

have and so while she’s in the hospital

why not go on and have that but what

happened my family doctor uh our family

doctor who our family had been close to

uh as I was raised uh came into the room

after the surgeon and said uh why don’t

you just stay here here you’ve been

needing to do this hysterctomy why don’t

we get it done while you’re here they

did it put my mom in recovery and in

those days they didn’t have one-on-one

um uh covering of someone they as far as

they didn’t monitor them like they do

now and um so they just put her in there

and um they came to check on her in a

while and she had bled out um all her

blood was in the floor and um so they

rushed her back into surgery and spent

four hours uh two of which they said she

was clinically dead and I I think they

continued because number one they cared

and we were close to the family doctor

and I think they continued because they

were concerned about culpability uh

regarding the situation and they used

all of the Matched blood in the hospital

they then used all of the unmatched

blood in the hospital which is an

absolute no no right but there was no

other choice and um the doctor I I’d

stayed at College it was so routine and

my uh this lasted so long that my wife’s

family uh came and picked us up at

Russellville Arkansas Tech where I was

took us back to Fort Smith I was at the

hospital when the doctor our family

doctor came out and said she probably

won’t live we’re going to packer in ice

because of the fever from the unmatched

blood uh very unlikely she’ll live if

she does she’ll have to be in a nursing

home the rest of her life she probably

won’t know any of you and pro probably

will never speak again wow I walked down

the hall pretty distraught yeah and uh

the elevator opened and they came out

pushing my mom down to the room to pack

her and ice and she looked up and said

hello son I didn’t know you were coming

in uh and I think everything went great

and she had a full recovery as a matter

of fact it was uh my dad wrote a story

for

I don’t know if you’re familiar with a

publication called the Pentecostal

Evangel okay it’s a a publication of the

Assemblies of God M and uh it went into

the international um um um edition of

that publication and the doctor wrote a

statement that said they had no medical

um explanation for what happened amazing

amazing it was truly a miracle yeah well

let’s U while we’re talking about your

mom let’s jump forward a little bit to

to the end of her life and uh right

before she died she experienced heaven

and came back tell me about that did my

my mom was in hospice uh we kept her at

home my sister’s a nurse and she had

cared for her kept her at home as long

as we could and my mom one day said I’m

ready to go to the hospital and go see

my Jesus and I said Mom are are you

scared and she said would you be scared

if you were going to see Jesus and I

said no I guess not and um took her to

the hospital he put her on a morphine

drip cuz she was in quite a bit of pain

by that point and um in a couple of days

because of the severity of the cancer

and because of the morphine drip my mom

went into a deep coma and uh she was at

a point uh where she um was in such a

deep coma she was never going to come

back out of that MH she was at a point

where the doctor just left the room and

said she’ll die at any moment and her

breathing was very shallow her lungs

were filled with fluid and so uh the

large hospice room was full of family

and friends and we were just waiting I

was standing right next to my mom all of

a sudden she opened her eyes and she

said I have something to say h all of

the symptoms stopped she went back to

normal breathing all all of the rattle

from the the fluid stopped and um I said

Mom you have our

attention and she said it’s all real and

I said what do you mean mom and she said

God let me come tell you it’s all real I

said Mom have you been to heaven and she

said yes I have and she said it’s all

real every promise of God is true and

she lifted her hands and began to

worship and sing hymns and we sang with

her for about 15 or 20 minutes and then

my mom lowered her arm

arms and she went back to the exact same

symptoms in the same deep coma and died

not long thereafter I like to use the

word graduated absolutely graduated into

heaven and at that moment my dad was

severely affected by dementia at that

point was in a nursing home the um

nurses had noted that from time to time

he would come out of the uh absolute

lostness he was in and just speak

something quite sensible sometimes even

minister to them and pray for them and

they made notes about it to us and we

went to see my my dad after my mom died

well Gary before we get to that we need

to take a quick break okay and when we

come back we’ll find out about that and

also his dad earlier had a fatal disease

and we’ll find out what happened in just

a moment

here with Gary Brown Gary um we were

talking about your mom graduating to

heaven and your dad at that time had

dementia but he he had a moment of

Lucidity and and that related to your

mom graduating to Heaven what what

happened my dad from time to time um

even though he was in severe dementia

would come into His Spirit and the

nurses made notes of that for us and we

went to the nursing home after mom died

just to see Dad not to tell him because

it wouldn’t mean anything to him as far

as we could tell but uh the nurses noted

that my dad who sat in a Jerry chair and

was quite stiff and spoke at a whisper M

my dad sat straight up came into full

voice and said Jimmy that was my mom’s

name Jimmy I release you now not coming

right now I’ll be there soon

after it’s real it was at exactly the

same time my mom died wow wow well let’s

back up a little bit with your dad MH

because there was a time where he got

this uh rare fatal disease called Wagers

and what happened yeah my dad had Wagers

they had a hard time diagnosing it

because it was something that was not

really known that much at this point and

uh they finally in Fort Smith sent

pathology to Columbia University in New

York and uh they confirmed it was Wagner

um we have family the same close family

doctor got him an expedited appointment

uh Mayo so 10 days later he was there um

the Mayo doctors called him in after 3

days of testing at Mayo and said

Reverend Brown we have no explanation

here are your pictures from St Edwards

Hospital in Fort Smith

Arkansas and here are your pictures here

at Mayo your lungs were filled with

necrosis dead tissue that doesn’t

regenerate if for some odd reason it

does it takes months if not years they

said you’re your lungs look like a 25y

old young man’s lungs and you have no

Wagers so you have continually

throughout your life you’ve experienced

the supernatural in your life and your

family let’s jump to uh the time when

God told you when a Revival was going to

hit the youth group in your church and

you know I think of churches they’ll put

out a sign well Revival meetings we’re

going to start but this was where God

told you he gave you that the exact day

yes it was going to start yes did it

start that day it did start that day I

had a dream uh in October and I was

sitting on the uh on a step on one of

these old fire escape steps outside of

an old old building and um you still see

them on the side of old buildings and U

I was sitting on that step and Jesus was

sitting several steps above me and he

said I’m going to send Revival to the

youth on the first Sunday of the new

year and so I woke up from the dream and

thought praise God that’s awesome and on

the first did you tell anybody what he

told you I did tell a few people okay

and on the first Sunday uh I didn’t I

didn’t really make an announcement of it

I just told a few close friends right

and uh they were praying about it on the

first Sunday of that new year the spirit

of God just fell on the youth group and

it went on for two years and um after

the first year we were going to Camp

went to camp and I told him I said the

the first Speaker I had no idea who was

speaking I said the first speaker will

ask a youth group that is in red hot

Revival to come forward during the ation

and minister to the other youth I said

That’s you when you hear him say that go

forward they did that they ministered to

the youth they came back to the church

and I said if you would like to

experience what the youth have been

experiencing this is on a Sunday morning

to the adults I said come forward line

up down the center aisle 37 people came

I told the youth I said barely touch

them when you pray for them all 37

including a skep IC who came to

disprove this all 37 fell under the

power of God and had an amazing

relationship and Bob we’re not a falling

church and we didn’t become a falling

the falling church after that right it

was just a sovereign move of God I

believe whatever God wants to do will go

with it but it’s my my dad always told

me we wear Jesus on Our Sleeve Jesus

Christ and him crucified and then let

him do whatever he desires to do and uh

that’s exactly what happened in that

meeting well what about the skeptic the

skeptic fell under the power of God he

he was uh about as tall as you which is

pretty tall and uh he fell under the

power of God and about a half hour later

he got up and he said I was wrong and he

said he had had a wonderful and peaceful

powerful experience in the Lord Gary we

need to take one more quick break and

when we come back I want to hear this

story about the prophetic dream that his

father had about Elvis right before

Elvis died come back in just a

that he said ask her if they’re all from

different fathers and I said ma’am are

all three of those children from

different fathers but she said yes and

there’s another child in me now that’s

from a fourth father and that father’s

left me to I said you fall in love too

easily don’t you would you like to hear

about a man who will love you and never

leave you or forsake you and she said

yes absolutely

and within about 2 minutes of my sharing

the gospel she was repenting of her sins

and accepting Jesus as her savior she

then told me she had come to the wrong

store was in the wrong place I said you

were in just the right place today and

she said I agree on another occasion I

saw a lady in a wheelchair and I said

ma’am I understand you’re dying and she

said yes shared the gospel and right

then she accepted Jesus you can hear

Deval here with Gary Brown now Gary we

mentioned before your dad had pastored a

church in West

Memphis and Elvis occasionally attended

that church and uh and God gave your dad

a prophetic dream a week before Elvis

died now even when you as a little boy

when your dad would visit Graceland you

you would actually play on the lawn

there at

graand uh but tell me about what was

this dream that your dad had yeah my my

dad had a dream um just before Elvis

died that Elvis came to the front door

of the house he you also of our our

house and he was knocking on the door

and uh dad went to the door and uh Elvis

said there’s a vulture check that’s

chasing me and um dad let him in the

house uh in this dream and uh the

vultures somehow came in after him and

uh he ran out the back door and said I

just can’t get away from them I can’t

get away from them and that was the end

of the dream my dad woke up pretty

disturbed about it sure and but he

hadn’t talked to him in a lot of years

so it was a natural thing that he didn’t

reach back to him um Elvis’s stepbrother

uh came to minister at our church a

couple of years after Elvis passed and

uh he asked Dad uh why he hadn’t reached

out and he said well it had been so long

he said Elvis talked about you from time

to time and he he would have taken your

call which made my dad feel terrible but

he also mentioned that he had been the

the last to to be with Elvis and he’d

gone up to the to the room to let Elvis

know that he was um resigning and uh was

going to move into a closer walk with

Jesus and Ministry and as they sat on

the side of the bed uh Rick told us that

Elvis said Rick that’s exactly what I

need to do and said I I encourage you in

that I I bless you in that release you

in that you have my blessing go and he

said pray for me it’s what I need to do

too so you think if Elvis had Liv Elvis

had lived he would have turned his life

around wow but of course he died that

night W yes now Gary you’ve had visits

to

heaven so tell me about one where Jesus

took you to the edge of heaven and you

were looking at out over a vast like

blank expanse what was that about I I’d

walked with Jesus Through Heaven through

some Gardens and waterfalls and just

beautiful beautiful colorful Vivid

incredible things to see then we came to

a vast expanse and I said what is that

because it really had no color it was

it’s hard to describe it was just empty

and he said that’s the future he said I

never stop creating I’m always creat in

and that’s the future he said your

scientists tell you that the Universe

never stops

expanding there it is wow now have you

seen angels I have seen angels in heaven

and I had an angel guide me into what’s

called The Great Library in heaven and

uh saw a massive desk there with an

hourglass on it and the bottom of The

Hourglass is pretty full top of The

Hourglass becomes more and more empty

I’ve been there three times time running

out time running out running out yes

well now Gary of course there’s an other

side to the supernatural MH and have you

encountered the Demonic I have from time

to time um not a lot but a few times in

my life and I’ve had death threats had

people try to put curses on me um that

sort of thing and one one guy uh was

drawing a pentagram out in the church

parking lot and the youth came in all

concerned about it and I said hey the

power of Jesus covers all of that and so

I’ve seen I’ve seen some people

delivered in my office and some pretty

demonstrative situations but you know

the whole thought about demons can be

kind of scary to people but I’ve never

seen one that wouldn’t bow to the name

of

Jesus well Gary so many people who are

watching right now might be

thinking wow he’s said he had so many

Supernatural experiences and that that

what an incredible life so far and it’s

still going but that’s not me I I just

don’t see it happening for me I you know

I’m fearful I don’t see victory in my

life what you have experienced is that

available for them it is available and

God has a a special and unique plan for

everyone and I believe if you desire

gifts um that God will will hear your

prayer and answer um there may be a

growth time a maturing time into that

but yes I do believe that these things

are available I think that um things

people probably just don’t enter into uh

the faith to believe for those things

many times because they think well

surely not me but look Bob I’m just a

I’m just a pastor from Arkansas I’ve

been in the same church literally for 50

years and um so I’m I’m nobody special

but I’m very special to God and uh he

loves me and uses me and he’ll he’ll do

the same whatever their experience is

with visions or dreams or just a a faith

that’s uh strong and believing believing

for things they don’t see but things

they desire uh God will use each person

he’s no respector of persons if we seek

after him he has promised to draw close

to us so Gary would you take just a

minute now and pray for that viewer

watching will I’ll be glad to and I

would say to that viewer that God has

that unique plan just for you he

promised that he would never harm you

but he always give you hope and a

destiny even as your soul prospers he

desires that you prosper and be in

health spiritually and in every other

way I pray that God works that in you

reach to him because God is for you 100%

receive him fully and receive your

destiny in Jesus name amen that word is

for you it doesn’t matter where you’ve

been what you’ve done what you’re

experiencing right now what your outlook

is for the future doesn’t matter your

education your financial status your

family relationship

status God’s no respector of persons and

what he’s done in Gary’s Life in his

family and in his church he’ll do for

you God has so much amazing things for

you start today reach out to him seek

after him and if you don’t know him call

forgiveness of sin and begin walking in
