you may be seated we’re gonna go on a
journey with the word that God has put
in my heart today I want us to what
let’s just go straight into the word I
believe that this word is gonna help us
to make have understanding about why
sometimes it seems like the opposition
looks heavier than what we are created
to handle it will bring understanding to
why you really have nothing to worry
about it would awaken us to the identity
of who God called us to be our spiritual
identity and so I’m very excited about
what this word is gonna do in and
through our lives and so let’s just head
over to second Kings chapter 6 and we’re
gonna be reading from verse 8 to 18 and
I’m just gonna as we go through it I’m
gonna take my time with it so it begins
by saying now the king of Syria was
making war against Israel and he
consulted with his servants saying my
camp would be in such in such a place so
first of all it’s important to note that
this war is against not a man but a
nation that the king of Syria has a plan
against Israel
that’s just let’s just note that
somewhere in our mind then he continues
to say and the man of God sent to the
king of Israel saying beware that you do
not pass this place for the Syrians are
coming down here you see the man of God
introduced in this scripture is a
prophet Elijah and what is happening is
that while the king of Syria is plotting
a plan
God is exposing his plan because he
tells the prophet Elijah he reveals the
plans to the prophet Elijah and so the
Prophet goes to the king of Israel and
basically exposes the whole plan he says
this is what is about to happen so do
not go by this way you see family is so
fascinating sometimes one of the things
that you know I hear a lot is that
someone may have what they assume to be
a nightmare because in the dream that
they had they perhaps saw themselves a
loved one dying in such a strange way
and so they
wake up and say oh no this is a
nightmare but what if it could be that
God is giving you insight into the plans
of the enemy so that you have the upper
hand with the information and so it’s
not a nightmare and it’s not something
to frighten you but it’s something to
make your prayer strategic you see
because when we are placed on this earth
God gave us authority and so when things
are coming against us he would reveal to
us and say now if you pray you invite me
you it and force my will on the earth so
when you invite me to a prayer I can
show you I can lead you I can protect
you from what is happening you see what
is fascinating about the scripture is
that for God to intervene for God to
reveal to the prophet Elijah about what
is going on it tells us that what is
really happening is more spiritual than
it is natural that the king of Syria
coming against Israel is not a natural
thing that his that what is influencing
him is not of God that what is
influenced him to come against the PIPA
the nation Israel is actually a plan of
the enemy but what may seem dangerous is
because when the enemy uses a person
because the devil has many faces I like
to say because we’re never going to wake
up one day and say wow that’s the devil
right there just look at him right there
no he because remember in the Garden of
Eden it was a serpent that he influenced
but when God is speaking to the serpent
he’s speaking to the devil because that
he had influenced the serpent to do his
bidding and so one of the dangerous
things is when the enemy uses a person
to do his bidding because what happens
is that he influences them to engage
their will and free will is something
that God will not violate and so when he
influences someone to engage their will
this is why the scripture tells us that
rebellion is as witchcraft in the book
of Samuel for Sam or the prophet Samuel
has this encounter with with the King
Saul at that time because the you know
God had so instructed the King to do
certain things that he disobeyed and for
such reasons God ends up saying you know
what I am gonna raise them
man after my own heart I’m gonna raise
up David because I cannot give you
authority and you are rebelling against
me because in your rebellion you are
advancing the plan of the enemy not my
plans and so in this passage we see that
what is happening here is more spiritual
than it is natural so God’s that’s
exposing plans because in order to
defeat someone who is using their free
will against you there are certain there
are certain things that could happen
either you know
that’s why even when the Bible tells us
to pray for our enemies to love those
that persecute us because either we pray
for them to have an encounter or
something that causes them to repent
because you cannot cast out a person’s
spirit that is what they have decided to
do by the wrong influence so either that
takes place or sometimes God will remove
them from a position of authority that
gives them access to influence your life
so there are several ways that God can
move I mean he’s he’s God in this
situation he moves by revealing the plan
to say tell the King to not go this way
because there was something that is
against him there and that it will be
against the nation so he gives them
strategic information you see it’s
interesting you know our Lord Jesus
during his time on the earth when he was
a baby there was a king named Herod and
he had and he had this plan to kill all
the children under I believe it was H –
because he was looking for the Lord
Jesus but that was not of his will that
was him being influenced by the enemy
and when that happened an angel of the
Lord came to Joseph in a dream and said
to him take him out of here and you
moved the family to Egypt and when the
angel visits him again he says those who
sought his life are dead
bring him back so sometimes in God
protecting you he may change your boss
in God protecting you he may reposition
you in God protecting you he may cause
someone to move out of state and God
protecting you because these are human
beings
whose will have been engaged to work
against you and God says the but I would
be your covering and so in this passage
it didn’t matter what was coming against
them while the enemy was plotting God
was revealing while he was plotted and
saying this is what we’re gonna do
God just brought the plan to Elijah and
said look this is what is about to
happen
protect this nation so the scripture
continues by saying then the king of
Israel sent someone to the place of
which the man of God had told him thus
he warned him and he was watchful dare
not just once or twice now this verse
suggests who was that what is taking
place is that that this the king of
Israel has sent soldiers to watch had
sent soldiers to observe what is going
on he adults he had also sent soldiers
almost to secure those passageways you
know if any of us like all this like old
movies you know NIV Game of Thrones
countless those but um you see when you
see how there are times where the
soldiers will protect southern passage
so they don’t have access to the city in
a way that the city would be vulnerable
if no one is keeping watch but what I
love about that verse is that it says
they were watchful in I believe its
first Peter 5:8 the Bible tells us be
sober minded be watchful for your
adversary the devil prowls around like a
roaring lion looking for who to devour
they were watchful and I remember when I
thought about that passion I said Lord
what does it mean to be sober-minded
because everything what I love about the
Bible so much is that it is so layered
and so sometimes the Holy Spirit will
give you an interpretation that is
needed for what for according to the
word that he has sent you with and so
what the Lord revealed to me about being
sober minded in this context and is that
sober minded is living in the awareness
of your purpose because when you live in
the awareness of who you are when you
live in their awareness of what you’re
assigned to when you live
your awareness that I am a child of God
God has assigned me to something I’m not
my life is not random then you can be
watchful because when you understand
what is what is for you what God has
said that you know our pastor preached
such a powerful message called
dominating your sphere and so when you
understand that look I I recognize where
you have called me to dominate and so if
it’s something does not look like that
it’s a distraction but we would not be
able to be watchful if we’re not sober
minded you see not being soap not being
sober minded is when we make decisions
that feed our ego or our pride rather
than the plans of God because this king
of Israel could have said that you know
what who is the king of Syria that he
thinks he can come against me I will go
there and if he went there he might have
died because that would have been his
pride speaking that would have been his
ego speaking and sometimes we have to
humble ourselves to the plans of God and
say Lord this is a distraction this is
not for me because that is how we can be
watchful when we understand what what
God is saying that this is what I’m
calling you to one of the biggest
distractions that often get us is fear
because you see fear by itself fear
creates a narrative of loss fear says
that if it doesn’t work out you could
lose on this and so when you function
from a place of I could lose out then
you really don’t give your all because
it’s like why would I put all my eggs in
this basket and it may not work and so
fear creates this narrative to us like
you don’t really want to try that hard
you don’t really want to you you are you
sure you want to move what are you gonna
do when you move but you have a word
from God yet God has given you
confirmation and so when you’re living
in the awareness of your purpose you’re
not worried about your reputation
because God is the one who gives
influence anyway you’re not worried
about okay people are gonna think
is crazy because at the end of the day
they were not there when God spoke it
and so your part is to have confirmation
and be certain of what God is telling
you but you have to be sober-minded in
order to act so that even when fear
presents a decision you can say no this
is against me this is actually a trap
this is to keep me stuck that to prevent
me from growing so they were watchful
and it continues saying that therefore
the heart of the king of Syria was
greatly troubled by this thing and he
called his servants and sets of them
will you not show me which of us is for
the king of Israel and one of his
servants said none my lord o king but
Elisha the prophet who is in Israel
tells the king of Israel the words that
you speak in your bedroom this is the
power of God he says he must already
know Elijah was a prophet that was known
that God reveals some crazy things to
him that your problem is really not that
one of us betrayed you but there is a
prophet named Elijah and God reveals his
secrets to him you see this by itself
should encourage us this should
encourage us in the sense that so many
times with we we may find ourselves in
this anxious state of paranoia wondering
who is for us who is against us can I
trust you can I not trust you and
because of this we don’t open our hearts
to people because we’re like you know
what you may you may betray me you may
backstab me I don’t want to go through
hurt again but we have to learn how to
trust God because if you close your
heart to pain you close your heart to
love if you close your heart because
your word that’s all maybe trained you
you close your heart to someone who is
actually for you and wants to advance
you and so and if we look at it from a
natural perspective sometimes what may
look like is for you may be against you
then the people that might look like
they’re against you are actually for you
it is God that knows the intentions of
people and if there is something God
needs to shift you from trust that he
will
direct you because the Bible tells us
that the steps of the righteous are
ordered by God if God wants to shift you
from a bad relationship if God wants to
shift you from a bad friendship if God
wants to shift you from a bad business
partner it’s not your job to play the
police of you know of trying to check
people and say yes and no based on how
things look we have to learn how to
trust God isn’t it fascinating that God
would even revealed to Jesus
who would betray him and yet Jesus you
will never know who would betray him by
the way he treated them because it’s not
if God did not remove him from your life
that means they still serve a purpose
and so it’s not how we see things let us
trust God to reveal that who is really
for me and who is really against me you
see it’s very for me i one thing that
even in my relationship with God as you
trust God in certain areas because when
the ability was something that I used to
struggle with and I’m just like God I
don’t think I want to be opening my
heart to people like that yeah because
for me it was you know there was this
thing and I never realized it until I
got older and I sat with God I’m like
what is this fear what is this fear I
have with opening up to people and he
traced it back to the fact that the the
reality of not having my father there
because he was murdered was now what was
playing in my head that I would get that
the idea of being too close to someone
and losing them I don’t know I don’t
want to feel that pain because even
though I never knew my father so it gave
it made me not feel the pain of his
absence
it made me because I didn’t know him I
was a baby and so I didn’t I was running
away from pain so that was my reader the
fact that I was trying to shut my heart
from people is because I never wanted to
feel the pain of losing someone and so
when God revealed this to me and said
this is all part of life but if
something is going to be against you I
will reveal it to you and I remember
some of this was years past I was in
college at this time and there was a
good friend of mine and I remember one
day
I had this vision it was crazy because
at that time there was so much going on
with our friendships and all kinds of
thing you know college days and so it’s
just let’s just put it you know hashtag
college but I had this vision one day
she calls me and the phone was on
speaker and she’s asking me questions
but it was a setup it was she was asking
me questions to put me in a weird
position based on the people that were
listening to the conversation and so I
was like this is weird you know so I
just kind of rushed it off the next day
she calls me and so I’m just thinking
that my friend is just calling me but
then she starts asking me the very same
questions that God showed me in the
dream and in the vision and I was like
wait this one might be a speaker and so
I just played it off I just acted like
you know everything was cool
I changed the whole conversation that
she rushed and got off the phone I said
well if we have an audience I got a lot
to say and so III kind of brushed it off
and I remember sitting before God and
the Lord said I did not reveal that to
you for you to have a fence in your
heart I did not reveal that to you for
you to be angry I did not reveal that to
you for anything the person is not even
a bad person she’s just in a weird
predicament and I’m only revealing this
to you not because there’s a problem
with her but way I’m taking you you
can’t this is not someone that is good
for your journey so love her and
actually have that conversation with her
but this is not because this person is
bad they’re just in a weird place and if
they continue to function in a weird
place it could affect you and so what I
even learned from that is that when God
starts revealing to you things it’s not
for you to just be like I always knew it
this person is against me no no it’s not
like because remember God is not Petty
won and and the nature of God is love
and so the revelation of God would not
put you in the place that is outside of
his love God would not bring a
revelation to you that would rise up
hate in you because that is against his
very
character and so even when God brings
revelation and and one of the ways to
confirm what is being revealed to you or
what your discerning is how you feel
because if he is what rises up in you
you have to check it maybe it’s your
assumptions that is rising up because
when God brings revelation he brings it
in his character and so it’s not for you
to walk away with animosity in your
heart it’s just an understanding that
you know what this person is not good
for me that’s just what it is it’s not
that it’s you it’s just we’re not good
to go where we’re heading you know and
what that is friendship business every
kind of relationship trust and know that
God will be the covering of your hearts
don’t be so afraid to open it because
you’re scared of what people may do let
God hold your heart so let’s continue in
the in the passage then it says so he
said that this is the king speaking he
says go and see where he is now he’s
looking for Elijah that I may send and
get him and it was told him saying
surely he is in Duffin you see this is
fascinating because in the beginning of
the passage we learned that the king’s
battle the king’s war is not against a
man
it’s against Israel all of a sudden
Elisha has become his target because the
enemy recognizes that the real threat to
what I am after is this man and so
Elisha became a target because he became
a threat because it was revealed that
Elisha you were actually a threat you
see what is interesting about Elijah’s
position as a prophet is that as a
prophet he was called to stand in the
gap for Israel every one’s purpose in
this house everyone’s purpose watching
is called to stand in the gap for
something standing in the gap means that
you expose yourself in order to protect
something and so when God calls you what
well honestly ever all our calls because
even the
often what would would describe those
called by gods as shepherds and
shepherds protect sheep and so when God
calls you what it looks like in the
spirit is that you are standing and
protecting what is behind you and so in
order for them to get to it they have to
get to you Elijah the king is after
Israel they recognize that the person
that is the actual issue to get to
Israel is Elijah so all of a sudden he
becomes a target not because of him but
because of what he’s protecting you see
when the enemy starts to recognize that
way all of a sudden these people who
used to be fearful and not fearful
anymore all of a sudden they’re not as
distracted as they used to be
you know there are movies that are out
there there are people funding movies
there people that are faithful in their
tithes and in their offerings and it’s
advancing the purpose of God in this
church there are people when he
recognizes that in order to destroy what
I’m really after I have to attack their
finances in order to destroy what I’m
really after I have to attack their
health because you are the threat to
what I’m actually looking for and so
sometimes we think that the enemy is
after us but we don’t recognize that
it’s not us that he’s looking for is
because we are the second where is very
secondary to his plan he’s after what we
are protecting because everyone’s
purpose is called to protect something
everyone’s purpose is called to create
room for others to flourish in their
identity that there is something that
you have that unlocks something for
someone else that maybe because of your
testimony someone says you know what
it’s not that bad I don’t have to commit
suicide I don’t have to stay in
depression and when the enemy recognizes
I used to have influence over this life
and all of a sudden they’re getting
stronger they’re getting bolder they’re
becoming more courageous because of a
testimony that you shared now let me
come after you because
I can if I can’t touch them anymore
because of your influence in their life
because of the influence of your story
because of the influence you see the
Bible tells us that we overcome by the
blood of the Lamb and the word of our
testimony
every time that God presents a platform
whatever social media whether it’s
whatever the books that God has put in
your heart to write the nonprofit’s that
God has put in your heart to start
whatever it is that God has put in your
heart to do it is a sign to protect
something and when the enemy realizes
that what you’re protecting he no longer
has a hand on now he’s looking for you
Elisha was never a part of this picture
until they recognized that he is a
threat so the only reason we become a
target is because it was recognized that
we are a threat and so let’s continue
reading because the story doesn’t end
that way because if not it would end a
little sad so it says therefore he sent
horses and chariots and a great army
there and they came by night and
surrounded the city families in this
fascinating for one man you sent a great
army one man an army should be sent
against another army but when the enemy
recognized that this one man is the army
and so we’re not gonna just stand five
people we’re gonna send a great army
what does this look like sometimes this
looks like when your life just seems to
be it’s like one circumstance after the
other one thing after the other all
happening at the same time and we’re
wondering God like I’m just I’m just
trying to pay my rent it’s like
everything is just trying to be against
me and all I really want to do is pay
rent but we don’t recognize that the
weight of the opposition against you is
according to the measure of what you’re
protecting and so you may think that God
this just looks unfair like what is all
this about but it’s not according to
just you it’s according to what you’re
protecting and so the king
of serious ends a great army an army
that he should send when fight in Israel
he sends it for one man because that one
man was actually the whole army you see
we have to recognize that in our lives
it may look like god why is there attack
after attack after attack but it’s not
the opposition it’s not you that it’s
looking for it it is coming after what
you’re protecting and so it’s coming at
you like you are what you’re protecting
that waits on your shoulder and the
scripture continues and says and when
the servants of the men of God arose
early and went out there was an army
surrounding the city with horses and
chariots and his servants said to him
alas my master what shall we do you see
this was this was a statement of a panic
the servant is panicking and what we’re
going to see in the scriptures are
coming up is that the only reason that
the servant is panicking is because he
has not been awakened to something
Elijah had no fear about what is taking
place because Elijah would recognize
that if the enemy is coming against me
because of what I’m protecting he’s
really not coming against me he’s coming
against God because what I’m protecting
is assigned to me by God and so if
you’re coming against me because of what
God assigned to me this is not my fight
you are actually coming against God you
are actually challenging the authority
of God who put me in the position to
protect what he gave to my command and
so Elijah is not bothered about the army
does this great army that is against him
because he recognizes when has the enemy
ever fought and won a battle against God
I mean this is not even warfare this is
more of spiritual awakening because
warfare would even suggest that the
outcome is uncertain a real battle means
that
the outcome we don’t know who is gonna
win but who has ever challenged God in
the first place and so Elijah is not
bothered about what is happening and
because of that heat and in order to
bring his servant into the state that
he’s in we see that he says in the
passage so he answered do not fear for
those who are with us are more than
those who are with them and Elijah
prayed and said lord I pray open his
eyes that he may see then the Lord
opened the eyes of the young men and he
saw and behold the mountain was full of
horses and chariots of fire all around
Elisha family we must understand we
don’t have to see angels to know that
heaven is backing us up when we’re where
God called us and so when something is
coming up against you it is not your
fight there’s a scripture in the Bible
that talks about when God went when God
says that the battle is not yours the
battle is the Lord’s because what
they’re attacking is not you they’re
attacking my purpose there at their at
their challenge in my authority and so
without Elijah
this is them you know they’re waking up
they’re just having to know a cup of
coffee and a croissant and they walk
outside and this army is just looking
for them Elijah was not even but we
don’t even hear that Elijah prayed that
God send a great army this was just what
came with a territory because family the
place of your purpose is the place that
you’re in partnership with God and so
you are never by yourself so when the
when the Bible tells us that the Lord
will never leave nor forsake us it means
the day we came in agreement we came it
was both ways that if you if you would
be my vessel I would be your covering
and it’s not that God will just leave
you out there by yourself heavens armies
were already there in position the
moment that the armies of the Syrian
that the Syrian King started marching
God released the angels on the earth so
it was
never a problem for Elijah but this is
the one thing that I recognized and this
is the one thing that I really want to
speak about of what Elijah did and what
we must do when we see a position it
says so when the Syrians came down to
him Elijah prayed to the Lord and said
strike these people I pray with
blindness and he struck them with
blindness according to the word of
Elijah
you see family you can have the
resources of heaven behind you but to
access them is when prayer comes in
because prayer is the invitation of God
on earth prayer is saying God I
acknowledge that we are in agreement
over this thing I am NOT good I’m not
willing to step back I’m willing to
stand in my position I’m willing to
stand in the gap for people and because
of that I can boldly pray specifically
knowing that you will answer me because
the Bible tells us angels are not moved
by your frustrations angels are moved by
the Word of God and the Word of God is
often released as a response to your
prayer when Elijah prayed and said
strike these people with blindness I
mean this will away some a time and
immediately it says then the Lord did
according to the word of Elijah
you see family what the Lord said to me
to tell you today is that we have to
that when the enemy makes you a target
your prayers have to hit a target it is
not about having vague prayers or vague
prayer life when you see what is against
you speak to it because you already have
heavens armies on your side but what
moves them is the Word of God and even
the Bible God is so merciful that he
tells us if anyone lacks wisdom ask me
and I will give it generously and so
even if you may not know what to pray
seek the Holy Spirit and say Holy Spirit
how do I attack this thing that is
opposing me
and so this is the position where we
begin to take responsibility of who God
called us to be because oftentimes we
make it look like it’s a god thing not
our thing but partnership means that
this is 5050 and so God is committed to
you and and you ought to be committed to
your assignments because your assignment
is you it is what you were sent here for
it is your identity and so when you take
responsibility of who you are you don’t
easily back up when you don’t easily run
in frustration you look at that thing
Elijah did not run he said God
specifically strike them with blindness
and when I didn’t put the rest of the
scripture but what basically happens is
that elation leads them they’re looking
for him he’s leading them like come I
will show you where Elijah is and he
leads them to the camp of the Israelite
that the king of Israel he could have
destroyed them in one second but he even
had mercy on them he’s like let them go
feed them and send them back home
because in that moment it was for them
to understand that the god that is over
my life you cannot touch me he was not
even fazed he was not even angry he was
not because if he moved from a place of
anger because he lyza there was a time
that Elijah was really hot tempered and
he would just call our bears to eat
people but Elijah had matured and he was
not even fazed because he had matured to
the place of knowing who is with me is
more than what is against me that is why
I love that song surrounded because it
says that it may look like um what was
the song like I’m surrounded but I’m
surrounded by you because as you’re
standing the gap for people God is also
standing in the gap for you and so in
order for the enemy to touch you he has
to go through God but in the natural we
see it as a position but in the
spiritual realm family you are
surrounded by God and so how we invite
him is through prayer our pastor said
something once that I loved so much and
he says that prayer
gives miracles permission to happen and
so sometimes and what it’s we have to
check what is my prayer life what what
am i seeking God specifically about can
I even remember what I prayed for two
months ago so if it happened today I
would know to give God the glory you see
there was a there was a case in the
Bible when two blind men came to Jesus
and they said lord have mercy on us and
it should be obvious that if two blind
men are coming to me
they want to see but Jesus asked them
what do you want
because if we’re gonna move in this
thing together you need to articulate to
me what you really want because yes I
see that you’re blind and I know that
you need you want to see but you might
be living in another realm that says you
know what we just need some money to get
some food and we’ll be good with that
what are we praying for what are we
actually what what what what targets our
prayers hitting that yes opposition may
be coming against you but no no no no
it’s really if it when you recognize
this is not even about me this is about
my assignment and so that’s when we have
to actually take a stronger place in our
ground and say not today devil I’m not
gonna respond to you in fear I’m not
gonna respond to you and be intimidated
I’m not gonna be timid I’m not gonna
first I’m not gonna be frustrated I’m
not gonna complain I’m going to go to
the position of power and that is prayer
because prayer shifts things and family
that is the question I have for you what
does your prayer life look like
what are you if God is asking you just
like he asks those blind man what do you
want what are you gonna say and not from
a vague place like who this is my
laundry take it Lord I got a few things
no from a place that you are connected
you that that you’re in tune with the
Spirit of God because the power of
prayer is not just what you say the
power of prayer is that you’re in
agreement with what heaven is saying and
so it is you say
is echoing what heaven is saying now in
this situation when Elijah says strike
them with blindness it doesn’t mean that
that was you know God is like okay
Elijah I’m waiting for you to tell me to
strike them with blindness but what it
meant is that Elijah I have given you
authority here and so however you want
this to go let me know because the
angels are just waiting for a command so
you let me know how you want this to
play out because they’re coming against
the authority of God and God says you
are the one I gave Authority and so show
me how you want this to go and so
sometimes it’s not about it’s not that
okay maybe God is waiting for him to say
strike them with blindness so he struck
them with blindness if he told them God
make them crippled he would make them
crippled because whatever it is to show
the enemy that no no no no no the god
who is over my life it would defeat
anything that you throw against me and
so we have to come in the posture of
prayer in the place that we are whole so
that what we are poor we are praying
when we target our prayers we know that
it’s not coming from a place of selfish
ambition that is coming from a place of
wholeness because that is the key if
it’s coming from a place of selfish
ambition then we are not even praying
from the Spirit of God but when it’s
coming from a place that we are whole
and we say God I know what you called me
to and I’m going to take my place I’m
going to take responsibility I’m not
gonna easily blame you every single time
no I’m gonna understand that this is a
partnership that we are in this together
and as committed as you are to me I
would be committed to you amen family
rise with me
halleluyah halleluyah halleluyah
I want to pray over and I just want to
invite you to the altar at this moment
that if you’re in this house and you
know that your prayer life has not been
what it ought to be I want us to take
this moment to recommit ourselves to God
and say Lord I’m not and not just your
prayer life I mean that when things come
against you your first response is to
complain and to accuse and to be
frustrated with God and God says no I
want you to understand that what awakens
you when Elijah told God to open the
eyes of his servant it was a spiritual
awakening that said recognize that those
are though with us is more than those
that are against us God is for you God
is covering you but we have to engage
through prayer and if so if you’re in
this house I just want you to come to
the altar and you say God I’m choosing
not to be someone who raises up
complaints unto you if I have not even
prayed about it that Lord I want to
recommit my prayer life to you I want to
recommit my prayer I don’t want to just
be be vague and I don’t want to just
live a random life I want to be sober
minded and watchful I want to live a
life in the awareness of the purpose
that you have called me I invite you to
this altar thank you Jesus thank you

thank you Jesus if you’re also in this
house and you want to commit your life
to God you want to commit your life to
Jesus you recognize that I cannot do
this life without him I want you to come
down to this altar

hey Jesus have your way Jesus
someday there’s anyone that
the biggest that what the issue has been
is that you have not taken the place of
responsibilities you have not taken your
your responsibility over your call
because your call is not just something
that God is doing like a puppet show it
says oh look at that
i’ma use you in this way no that is the
very reason that he formed you it is a
part of your DNA and so God is calling
you and he says my child I wants you I
want us to be in this together I want us
to be in this together you see there’s a
scripture that says that no weapon
formed against you shall prosper and so
in that scripture there is the awareness
that weapons are forming there is the
awareness because if the weapons are
forming by a person’s will yes the
weapons are forming but then God said
that’s whatever because they will not
prosper and we have to live in that
awareness that I may see the opposition
but your position does not have the
power to stop me I I recognize it’s not
we’re not being oblivious we’re not
being blind to it no I recognize that
something is against me and I’m
recognizing even now that it’s not just
against me because just because of me
it’s against me because of what God has
assigned me to so I’m not blind to what
is against me but I’m also choosing to
recognize that there is a god that is
for me and that if the enemy could touch
me them is the enemy could affect God
and that is impossible
and so in recognizing that God I see
that things are coming against me but I
choose to stand my ground I choose to
invite heavens resources to fight on my
behalf
and you see that posture of Prayer it
doesn’t mean that the moment you pray
about it it’s done it means that it
creates a posture of faith and boldness
that you recognize that it doesn’t
matter how long this takes you will not
stop me it doesn’t matter if I’ve been
looking at this very thing for a year
you will not stop me you do not have the
power to and so when we do that because
you see David as a shepherd there were
things that came against his sheep when
the lion came against the sheep here he
went and attacked it when the bear came
against the Sheep he went and attacked
it he was said I understand that things
are coming against what my father has
put me in charge of but you will not
stop me you will you do not have the
power to I don’t care how threatening
you look I don’t care if I’ve never
fought your kind before you do not have
the power to stop me and I want us to
understand that in God and if you have
been in the place where you feel like
you have given in to the narrative of
the enemy you have given in to the lie
that because it has been standing in
your face for too long you see the Bible
tells us that God will create a table
for you in the presence of your enemies
and so sometimes he has to bring the
enemies before the table and so perhaps
it looks like it’s been there for so
long because the enemies are gathering
to see the glory of God it is not that
it is that that God is not powerful
enough to bring you out of it or your
prayers are not good enough for God to
hear you know maybe he is just
presenting an audience for what he is
about to do in your life that will speak
to his glory

family we have no reason to fear fear is
the biggest tactic of the enemy to make
us to build a barrier between us and the
promise of God and that’s why the one
thing when the but when God tells us I
have not given you a spirit of fear but
a spirit of power love and a sound mind
I mean he’s mentioned three things that
he has given us but one thing that he
has not and it tells us that fear is the
very roots of everything that comes from
the enemy because everything that comes
from God says that no this is a spirit
of love God is love power the Holy
Spirit is the power of God a sound mind
when you have salvation you have the
mind of Christ
this is everything that speaks to the
foundation of who God is to you and he
compares all of that with one word I
have not given you the spirit of fear
everything the enemy would use against
your life is rooted from a place of fear
the fear that this is not gonna change
the fear that this is not gonna work out
the fear that this person is gonna break
my heart the fear that God may not stand
with me the fear that God may not show
what it’s all rooted from fear but
Elijah said as Elijah said to his
servant this is what God is saying to us
do not fear for those that are with you
or more than those that are against you
it may look like you’re surrounded but
we are surrounded by God Jesus is our
advocate yes we may have an adversary
but we have an advocate we have someone
who is fighting on our behalf
family if you’ve been in this house and
your life seems like it’s been plagued
with fear I invite you to this altar
because God is gonna break that off that
is not the spirit he gave you and that
spirit is influence to you in the wrong
ways and to make wrong decisions to keep
you away from your promise but we ought
to know that no matter how much it looks
like I want you to just think about that
in your mind if you feel like you’ve
been looking at something for so long
just imagine and say God you are
preparing the audience for the table
that you will prepare for me this is for
your glory anyway this is for your name
we were just singing that that we want
our lives to glorify Him that we want
all we want is for him to be lifted up
and for him to be glorified and so if
it’s all about your glory anyway if my
life is created to bring you the glory
then Lord yeah maybe let the enemies
gather that’s fine because you create a
table for me in their presence and so we
need them for the table because this
will bring glory to your name family you
have nothing to worry about
let us pray let’s just bow our heads
father God we thank you we thank you for
your love we thank you for your
affirmation for your confirmation of who
we are in you we thank you Lord God that
yes weapons may form but they will not
prosper they don’t have the power to
prosper because all authority comes from
you Jesus and as we come before you
tonight Lord God we say Lord we lay down
our fears we laid on everything that we
know is a distraction presently in our
lives but the reason that we have not
let go of the distraction is that we
fear that the real thing will not come
and so we begin to tell ourselves the
lie that the counterfeit is real we
begin to tell ourselves that it’s okay
lord I don’t need Isaac just leave me
with Ishmael because we fear that could
Isaac really come
even though that is your word but Lord
God we thank you that you are a faithful
God then you are faithful to your word
you say that you are watching over your
word to fulfill it we are a word and you
watch over us that we may manifest the
fullness of why you have called us lord
I thank you that in this house fear is
broken that fear is broken that fear has
no place in our lives
but we will look at the thing that
opposes us and we will speak to it Lord
no longer are we gonna cry because of
what looks like a nightmare but we would
rejoice in you saying that Lord you have
exposed the plans of the enemy and with
my authority I can change what he met
for evil thank you Jesus
we shall live because I said that there
are some in this house and that you have
been having reoccurring dreams of seeing
yourself die in strange ways dreams of
seeing loved one die in strange ways and
the Lord is saying no no no you you’re
getting it wrong I’m not sending that
I’m not allowing you to have this dream
to scare you but I want you to be
strategic in your prayer life thank you
Jesus
Lord we thank you that you have spoken
to our hearts that you have spoken to
our mind you have spoken to the depth of
who we are and we are gonna stand our
ground
we are gonna stand in the gap we are
going to be bold and courageous about
what you have called us to protect for
some of us has stood the books you have
called us to write it’s still the place
they stood the movies you’ve called us
to do let’s do the nonprofit’s you’ve
called us to create and stir the
children you’ve called us to speak to
it’s to the ministries you’ve called us
to serve because when we share and
release our testimony and when we do the
works that you have assigned our hands
to do Lord it advances your kingdom and
we are choosing to also be responsible
with what you have given us to dominate
the place you have called us to seal
this word in our hearts in our minds in
Jesus name Amen amen
