you’re going to come to that same place

about something in your life

but it’s how we act while we wait

come on how much can you go through

personally and still be nice to other

people

oh my gosh I’ve come a long way

42 years ago if I would go to the

grocery store

and the clerk was new

I mean

I could have my rhinestone Jesus pen on

and everything

[Applause]

but I tell you what the fruit wasn’t

pretty

[Applause]

now

42 years later

not two days

come on

now 42 years later and thankfully it

didn’t take me to hold 42 years but it

did take about four or five

come on

and now if we got a new Clerk and I can

tell she’s getting nervous because she’s

having trouble I’ll just say hey don’t

worry about it

don’t worry about it you’ll get it

you’ll end up being great at this job

everybody makes mistakes I’m not in that

big of a hurry I can actually

I actually can now think more of

somebody else

than I do myself

42 years but

I’m good with that now now

you know there’s other things that I’m

maybe not so patient with but I’ve got

the slow clerk thing down

I’m okay with that

when God first started telling me to put

my grocery cart back in the space marked

off the grocery carts and not leave it

leaning against your car

[Applause]

I didn’t go to Bible school I went to

the school of the Holy Ghost

and he taught me integrity

and things like that

well

sad to say it took me two years

to get totally obedient to just putting

the silly grocery cart back where it was

supposed to go

it’s raining it’s cold

I don’t feel good I’m in a hurry well

everybody else leaves theirs out here

why do I have to do what’s right

come on

so I’ll just give you the long and the

short of what God said to me and we can

get on with it he said look you’ve asked

me for a lot do you want it or not

[Applause]

so I’ll just say to you you’ve asked God

for a lot do you want it or not

well if you do you know what that means

you don’t get to be like everybody else

[Applause]

you may not get to see the movies they

see

yeah oh

come on

you may not get to go to the parties

they go to

you might have to stay home by yourself

a few nights

maybe more than a few I don’t know

you might have to

not get married rather than marry the

wrong person

yes

oh boy now we’re getting in there deep

[Applause]

you might have to stay married to

somebody that

maybe doesn’t just quite suit you

anymore

well we’re not compatible well who is

I mean you show me two people that are

compatible

[Applause]

you heard what I said last night

anybody that stays married it’s because

they’re both good forgivers

amen and I tell you something else you

want to know the number one secret to

staying married stop trying to change

the person you’re married to

[Applause]

come on if you think that you’re going

to marry somebody and change them

you are in for misery and a nightmare

because they are not going to change

unless God changes them

and certainly if God can’t do it you

can’t do it so you need to learn how to

just

love people the way they are not the way

you want them to be

[Applause]

and stop trying to make all your kids be

like you

and by the way the ones that are like

you you don’t like them anyway

because the truth I had such a hard time

with my oldest son I mean we couldn’t

get in the room together for five

seconds not getting an argument and I

could not figure out what was wrong with

him

and he’s more like me than

me than you know my kids

anyway I think I’m way off track but

it’s good anyhow

patience endurance

Outlast the devil learn that everything

in life is not going to be your way and

God expects you to be sweet anyway

Christians are supposed to be nice did

you know that

maybe that’s the Revelation for the day

I don’t know

why’d you learn at the conference today

Joyce said we’re supposed to be nice

we’re supposed to like each other

Hebrews 6 12 so that you will not be

spiritually sluggish but will instead be

imitators of those who through feet

Faith lead on God with absolute trust

and confidence in him and in his power

and by patient endurance even when

suffering are now inheriting the

promises

[Applause]

so if you’re in this building today and

you are you feel you have victory in

your life that doesn’t mean everything

is perfect but you feel that you’ve come

through and you’ve got a good measure of

victory in your life it’s because at

some point you endured

come on

it’s at some point you stop running away

from the hard things and you learn to

just run to them and get it over with

don’t give up what God has got planned

for you the amazing life that God has

got planned for you just to compromise

with somebody who wants you to sin to

keep them happy

go with God if it costs you everybody

else in the whole world you go with God

because when all this is over there’s

going to be nothing but God

come on

and I you know I feel real strong about

what I’m saying to you right now because

you’re getting tested and you will get

tested and I really really really want

you to pass the test so you can have the

testimony

so you can stand up and tell somebody

else

go with God don’t let the devil

steal God’s plan for your life by some

silly compromise now that doesn’t mean

that you can’t be forgiven for sin God

can forgive us but he can only use

people in a great way that he can trust

in a great way

God’s got to be able to trust the people

that he wants to use not to cave in If

It Means A little bit of discomfort I’m

going to read you two scriptures in

First Peter chapter 4. chapter one and

two and I think that these are

some very very important scriptures

they’ve always meant a lot to me

in the Amplified translation first Peter

4 1-2 therefore since Christ suffered in

the flesh

and died for us

arm yourselves like warriors with the

same purpose now listen to this being

willing to suffer for doing what is

right

are you seeing this

be willing to suffer in order to do what

is right

and pleasing God because whoever has

suffered in the flesh

being like-minded with Christ is done

with intentional sin

and has stopped pleasing the world

so that he no longer

will spend the rest of his natural life

living for human appetites and desires

but he now lives for the will and the

purposes of God

so what are these saying if you’re going

to live for the will and the purposes of

God there’s going to be times when

you’re going to have to suffer in the

flesh

you know we try so hard to get away from

everything that’s uncomfortable and

everything that hurts we want everybody

to love us and everybody to like us and

everybody to approve of us and clap and

cheer for us

you have no idea what kind of loneliness

I went through when I stepped out and

accepted this call in my life

doing what I’m doing was extremely

unpopular when I started

and look now at how many women God is

using all over the Earth

it’s amazing

and I’m certainly not the only one who

stepped up and accepted the call of God

but I believe that there always has to

be forerunners there always has to be

people that will step out and break

through so other people can follow in

that path

come on

[Applause]

arm yourselves with the same thought

here’s the thought

every day I will suffer today if I have

to rather

then disobey and displease God

[Applause]

I think half the time we just pray silly

we pray for God to give us everything we

want make everything easy and

you know bless me today Lord and give me

this and that here’s my list of 12

things I need to stay saved

if you don’t come through today God I

don’t know if I can last

no you say

Lord I’m making my mind up

with your grace I’ll suffer today rather

than

give up doing what’s right

I got to please God

amen

come on this is good

[Applause]

let’s look at Hebrews 10 36 again for

you have need of patient endurance to

Bear up under difficult circumstances

without complaining

wow

imagine that

so that when you have carried out the

will of God you may receive and enjoy to

the full

what is promised

see you’ve got to think about the prize

that’s on the other side of the pain

the Bible says about Jesus in Hebrews 12

2 that he

despised The Shame of the cross

but he endured it

for the joy of the prize that was on the

other side

see what I’m trying to tell you today is

if you’re going through something

difficult and you’re just wanting to

quit and give up run back to your old

life or start acting bad

instead of trying to get out of it why

don’t you just tell God

you just do whatever you got to do

and when you’re done doing it

I know that you’ll lift this burden

until then

let me get stronger and stronger and

stronger concentrate on continuing to be

what you know God wants you to be no

matter how much you’re suffering

personally and there will be there will

be not there might be there will be a

reward on the other side for you

you will come out a better person than

you were when you went in come on

payday’s coming

amen I said payday is coming

[Applause]

God never misses payday

he’s never late

man we could think about all the things

that these people went through

Ruth chose hardship rather than be

disloyal but she ended up married to the

richest man in the county

Abraham believed the impossible for 20

years but he got his kid

Moses turned his back on a life of

luxury but he also parted the Red Sea

saw great miracles

asked her later life on the line but she

saved the nation

Daniel took a chance on being killed

rather than compromises integrity

and he just kept getting promoted and

kept getting promoted he outlasted I

don’t know three or four Kings he just

even the Lions couldn’t eat him

foreign

tests are given to prove what we really

know now what we think we know but what

we really know

I say this all the time just because

it’s underlined in my Bible doesn’t mean

I know it

I can have it colored in in four colors

and that still doesn’t mean that I know

it

amen just because I’ve read it doesn’t

mean that I know it you know how you

know when you know it when you do it

when you do it

so don’t look at what you think you know

look at what you’re doing

finally we got to stop feeling sorry for

ourselves and say I’m going to take

responsibility for this mess I’m going

to apply these principles in the word of

God and I’m going to find out if all

this bible stuff is true or not

and I can tell you it is

it works

[Applause]

come on don’t just have a bumper sticker

on your car let’s get some fruit

what types of tests can we expect to

encounter

well the patients test everybody gets

that one

over and over and over

I can’t even tell you how many times our

hotel door keys don’t work when we’re

out

yes they were in a hurry we got an

elevator that was supposed to be going

down and it started going up

and somebody had played with the buttons

and it was stopping on every single

floor

you know we’ve learned to just say well

of course

we’re at a conference what else

what else would you expect

the Forgiveness test you’re going to

have to pass that one

Ephesians 4 don’t let the sun go down on

your anger

that’s a little more helpful if you get

mad early in the morning you’ve got all

day but

I’m telling you it’s tough if you get

really mad about 10 minutes before

bedtime

that’s only for the really mature

believers foreign

don’t be mad at anybody

just don’t waste your time being mad and

that’s not going to change them

pray for them remember some of the stuff

that you do

I’m not saying let people walk all over

you but I’m just telling you that

bitterness and resentment unforgiveness

and being offended it’s killing people

it’s shutting down the power of the

church

where any two

are in agreement

God’s in the midst of them and can do

great things

if God can just find two people who can

get along

they can do great things just imagine

what would happen if you could have a

whole church that had no Strife in it

[Applause]

you know the minute

you get offended by your pastor

from that minute on he can no longer

help you

you can’t learn from what he says until

you get over it

because the Bible says that when we are

offended we stumble

and we stopped growing

the Forgiveness test

most of the ground that’s gained in

people’s lives

most of the ground the devil gains in

people’s lives is through

unforgiveness

it’s a tough one isn’t it when somebody

hurts you

know why because everything you know

screams it’s not right

it’s not fair

we’re so concerned they’re going to get

by with it

you don’t need to be concerned about

that

God’s our Vindicator

but he’s much more interested in

changing them

than he is in getting them back

faithfulness test

you know what the faithfulness test is

it’s

when all the excitement’s gone

and you keep doing it anyway

you know when you’ve been married to

somebody 50 years you don’t get

goosebumps when they walk in the door

foreign

well

what you think is love when you’re in

your 20s and get married

turns into something totally different

if you stick it out

for 30 or 40 years

I can tell you now my husband and I we

really love each other

it’s not an emotional type of thing

it’s something way different

than that

and you come to a point a lot of people

come to a point in their marriage where

it’s not exciting anymore

and so then they think they need

somebody else because they’re just

living on excitement

you’re going to come to that same place

about something in your life

and I want you to remember that just

because something doesn’t emotionally

excite you anymore that doesn’t mean you

have a right to walk away from it

we need people that are going to stick

with stuff a long time after it’s not

exciting anymore

amen

and the last test was not the last test

but it’s the last one I’m going to talk

about and you’re going to like it the

least of all

turn the person next to you and say

you’re not going to like this

are you ready

the submission to Authority test

for that

you are not fit to be in Authority until

you know how to come under Authority

[Applause]

God is going to put somebody in your

life

that’s over you

that tells you to do things that you

don’t want to do that you don’t think

are fair

and then he’s going to tell you not to

talk about them behind their back

he’s going to tell you not to murmur and

complain

to show them the utmost respect

and your flesh is going to have a fifth

an absolute fit

I worked for somebody that did not treat

me right

it was so hard for me to stay there

Lord I wanted to get out of here

I am out of here

God said no you are not

now that doesn’t mean that I couldn’t

have

went against them and done it anyway but

I wouldn’t be standing here today

come on you need to quit running away

from things it’s because you don’t like

them and you if God says stay you stay

and if you want to stay and God says go

you go anyway

did you hear me

sometimes you’re nice and cozy and

comfortable somewhere I don’t know maybe

even in a church

and all your friends are there and you

love it well maybe God needs you over

here

somewhere where you’re not going to know

anybody

yeah well that went over big

all right I’m gonna read you one last

scripture I don’t like this scripture

but

I mean this scripture positively

aggravates My Flesh

servants be submissive to your masters

with all proper respect

not only to those who are good and kind

but also to those who are unreasonable

amen

come on give God a praise

well 30 years ago God gave us the

opportunity to begin broadcasting the

gospel 30 years ago wow when I think

about that I’m simply amazed at how God

has moved we started with a blue shower

curtain as our background One camera and

a camera operator that had never

operated the camera before so we

definitely had a very small simple

beginning but God blessed it

Dave has been such a support every step

of the way and I am so grateful for him

you forgot to shave around your ear

do you mind

you mind God has taught me so much

through these years God worked through

those humble beginnings and now allows

us to broadcast his message around the

world in 105 different languages on

television the credit and the glory are

all his I’m also grateful to you for

watching and responding to the message I

love hearing your stories about how God
