you know one of my just favorite parts
of service and if i’m honest
i had to learn to make this my favorite
part of service when i was growing up
worship used to be like the pre-show and
the message was like the part that i was
really connected to
but the older i got and the more i
recognize what happens in our exchange
with worship the hungrier and hungry i
became
just to experience god’s presence
through worship
and sometimes when i’m worshiping i have
to remind myself to not just allow it to
be this routine lifting of the hands
but to really allow the words that are
being sung to sing to my spirit
a lullaby to my fears a lullaby to my
joy to allow that worship to really
place my eyes
on the one who was in control of it all
and it is through that worship through
that adoration of god’s promises god’s
faithfulness
that i am able to open myself up and i
ascend that’s what i love about worship
is worship is how we ascend instead of
asking god can you come down and
intervene and trust me i have those
moments still
but through worship i’m no longer asking
god to come down worship says god pull
me up
allow me to ascend i want to see things
the way that you see them i want to
speak the way that you speak about this
situation i want to hear what you’re
hearing god i want to move the way that
you’re moving and for me the only way
that happens is when i lift my hands in
worship and the beautiful thing about
worship is that you don’t always need a
worship leader you just need the heart
to do it so can we just take 10 seconds
for a moment and set our eyes toward
heaven
god you are the creator of the universe
god you are a healer you cause all
things to work together for our good god
who would it who would we be if it
wasn’t for your grace who would we be if
it wasn’t for your mercy god i’ve seen
you show up in my life over and over and
over again god and you’re still here god
i believe you’re still working god i
believe that you’re still moving god i
believe that no weapon formed against me
is going to prosper god i believe that
you know the end from the beginning and
while i’m right here in the middle god i
believe that you’re standing there with
me too god i lift your name on high god
you are the solution to every issue that
this world is facing god it is you and
you alone who can allow the things that
the enemy meant for evil to turn around
for good god i know who you are god i
know your works god i understand your
majesty you’ve been doing it for
centuries you’ve been doing it for
thousands of years god and you’re not
going to stop now god i lift your name
in this place god and i speak overflow
that what’s happening in this room would
happen in their homes it would happen in
their cars it would happen in their
office because god you were too
beautiful to ignore
and we know when it’s you
god and we believe that it can still be
you
that you can still move that you can
still work
god i thank you that jesus is making
intercession on my behalf
that when i don’t know what and when i
don’t know the words that jesus is
speaking the words on my behalf that
he’s invaded my spirit and he’s
whispering those things i haven’t yet
discovered god i thank you that your
master plan included an interpreter that
your master plan included a translator
that you wouldn’t leave me without words
but that you would send jesus down who
understands every affliction known to
man and that he carried it up to heaven
so that you could understand me better
what kind of love is this what kind of
greatness is this god that you would go
literally to the ends of the earth
to see me
god give us a heart for worship
not just when the songs are over but god
let our worship begin when the songs end
i just
i felt like coming off of worship that
we should just take a moment
and realize that just because the song
is over it doesn’t mean the worship has
to end
somebody’s blessed already
somebody feels refreshed already
my prayer is that this message would
just be
a cherry on top
that it would add to what god is already
doing to you and through you in this
service
i’m excited to get into this word
i’m excited to just be activating it’s
one of my favorite things to do
you’re going to find me in genesis
chapter 13
verse 8 through 12.
i want to study abraham for
the few minutes that we’ll be together
abraham
is considered the father of faith
and i wanted to dissect the life of the
father of faith and
i have to tell you that god kind of gave
me a focus before he gave me the
resource sometimes i’m reading scripture
and i’m like that’ll preach and i’m like
that’s going to preach i’m going to
write that down and then other times in
my own worship and my own adoration god
gives me something and he says now go
through scripture and prove what it is
i’m saying to you
and that is exactly what happens in this
instance for activate so
my subject is take up space
take up space
and i am in genesis 13
verse 8 through 12.
just to give you a little bit of
backdrop abraham
was with his family as was the custom of
the time to stay within your community
to stay within your family but god gave
him a word in the previous chapter
chapter 12 and said get out of your
father’s house
and go to a land that i will show you
and so abraham moves and he goes to this
land and there are a few things that
happen in between that we’ll get into
but when we find him in this text he’s
in the land that god has shown him
but he’s in that land with his nephew
lot lot came with him when he left his
father’s house
and lot in him
have come to an impasse
my text begins in verse 8 and it says so
abraham abram said to lot his name is
eventually changed to abraham but abram
said to lot please let there be no
strife between you and me
and between my herdsmen and your
herdsmen for we are brethren
is not the whole land before you
please separate from me if you take the
left then i will go to the right or if
you go to the right then i will go to
the left
and lot lifted his eyes and saw all the
plane of jordan that it was well watered
everywhere
before the lord destroyed sodom and
gomorrh
like the garden of the lord like the
land of egypt as you go towards or
then lot chose for himself all the plain
of jordan and lot journeyed east and
they separated from each other
abram dwelt in the land of canaan and
lodge walked in the cities of the plain
and pitched his tent even
as far as sodom
god i thank you for this word
i thank you for the opportunity to serve
your people
it is truly a privilege to be in a
position that allows for you to use
little old
inadequate raggedy me
to serve such an incredible people
god i pray that this word would flow
that it would reach the hearts of those
who needed the most and that it would
touch them in a way that makes it
undeniable that you see them and you
hear them
god bless their homes and bless me bless
this word

if you follow me on the socials then you
already know this
i shared it on social media that i got
my tonsils taken out
and the doctor told me before i was
going to get my tonsils taken out that i
would definitely be uncomfortable and
have some discomfort for a few days
after surgery i think he said it’d be
about 14 days to fully recover
it wasn’t until after i actually had the
surgery that i realized that i wasn’t
paying attention to the doctor i don’t
know if anyone is like me i don’t know
if i hear things as challenges that
someone pray for me because there is
something wrong with me when someone
tells me that it’s going to take 14 days
in my mind i’m like for me it’s going to
be 10. when someone tells me that
something is not possible i’m like just
give me a minute i’m going to rebound
it’s going to be okay
let me tell you how i struggled after my
town selected me like i was like he is
telling the truth it is actually going
to take so much more time than i
anticipated to recover
but he told me that i needed this
surgery
and one day my husband asked me he said
you know how are you doing how are you
feeling this is maybe three to four days
after surgery and i told him i feel
worse than i felt the first day after
surgery
we did a little research and one of the
things we learned is that the pain
actually gets worse after a few days
of course we know the anesthesia and
stuff wears off but even after those
days there is this moment between like
day 7 and 10 where you can have an
increase of pain more pain than you had
at all
my husband asked me he said how are you
doing and i said i’m pretty demoralized
and he was like that’s heavy
but it was my truth for those of you
unfamiliar with that word or you’ve
heard it before and don’t exactly know
what it means demoralized
means having lost confidence or hope
i was demoralized because i was obedient
to the doctor
but when i was actually in the process
the recovery was much more expensive
than i anticipated
i don’t know if
that’s ever been anyone’s testimony in
their relationship with god
where i am obedient to god
i sign up i move i function in the way
that god’s calling me to function but
the response and the process connected
to obedience can be
demoralizing it’s when you finally
decide to start speaking up and to
advocate for yourself after being silent
and then people reject you or walk away
from you can’t keep the same friend
circle anymore i was obedient but the
process to obedience has been
demoralizing it’s producing content and
i’m obedient to the content that i’m
supposed to be producing but i’m not
getting the response i’m supposed to or
thought that i should receive i’m
obedient but this process is
demoralizing i think that is part of the
reason why god front loads us and lets
us know this is the vision that i have
for this thing this is what i think is
possible for you this is what i believe
we can do when we collaborate but in the
process of that we have to withstand the
discouragement of the process in order
to lay hold of the ultimate vision that
god has for us
in my estimation
this is exactly what happens when the
right thing
doesn’t always feel like the right thing
the right thing doesn’t always feel good
the right thing doesn’t always have that
endorphin release that we’re used to and
what happens when we do the right thing
but we don’t receive that response is we
become demoralized
and in the process of that we do
exactly what abram did and we begin to
move away from the place
that has caused us to feel demoralized
i want to share with you some of abram’s
story before we get to this text he left
his father’s house he did as he was told
he was obedient and he gets to the land
that god has shown him but when he gets
to that land there is a famine
what do you do when god calls you to a
place where there is a famine
there’s a lack of substance famine
literally means there’s a lack of food
but i believe that there are instances
in our life where god calls us to a
place where that place is lacking
something that is necessary in order to
sustain the territory i wish i could say
this
there is a territory
connected to each of our lives let’s go
back let’s go back to the bases basics
there is a territory connected to our
lives that is why you are here you are
here to take up space you are here to
claim territory for the kingdom of
heaven that’s why god trusted you with
breath in your lungs because god said if
i send this person down i am going to
assign them to a territory they’re going
to be assigned to those experiencing
home insecurity they’re going to be
assigned to those in foster care they’re
going to be assigned to the medical
field they’re going to be assigned to
criminal justice they’re going to be
assigned to building ministry they’re
going to be assigned to publishing each
of us are meant to take up space in a
territory but what do we do when we get
into a territory and recognize there is
a famine i thought that when i finally
got to the industry that i was supposed
to be in when i finally got the marriage
when i finally got the city that i would
feel fulfilled but it’s actually quite
the opposite i feel like i am the only
one here i feel like i’m the only one
who understands how things should
function i feel like i’m the only one
who understands how we should
communicate there is a famine
and abram
when he experiences the famine
he leaves the land that god has given
him
i just feel this prophetically and it’s
going to take me out of my notes but
there’s someone watching
and you were called to a specific place
god told you to get out of your father’s
house to leave your comfort zone and to
step somewhere by faith and because you
experienced famine you did exactly what
abram did and you left and you’re
somewhere hiding and somewhere
pretending instead of taking up space in
the land that god has given you because
you were unsure whether or not you had
what it took to meet the demands of the
fame and i got to get this right because
i don’t know who you are but i feel like
god is saying that it’s time for you to
go back to that place it’s time for you
to recognize that the famine is there
because you are the provision for the
famine sometimes god sends us places
where there is a famine not so that we
can suffer and die but because the
famine doesn’t apply to you i want you
to understand that just because there’s
a famine everywhere else it doesn’t mean
that the famine applies to you everyone
else can be getting divorced that famine
don’t have nothing to do with me
everyone else can be given up but that
famine doesn’t have anything to do with
me no one else may believe in god
anymore but that famine doesn’t have
anything to do with me as a matter of
fact the fact that i can see the famine
means that i’m called to be provisioned
to the famine and god is looking for
some people who don’t mind getting so
angry at the famine that instead of
running they dare to take up space
they’re there to plant themselves right
in the middle of the famine so that
everyone experiencing famine can see
that there’s still provision in the
famine and the provision in the famine
is not because i did everything the
right way it’s because i was obedient to
who god has called me to be and my
obedience is my provision who are you i
hear god saying if you’re looking for a
provision if you’re looking for your
next then the next is connected to your
obedience when are you going to do what
i told you to do when are you going to
say what i told you to say when are you
going to produce what i told you to
produce the provision doesn’t come first
first comes fam and then comes provision
first comes emptiness then comes
wholeness first comes brokenness then
comes completeness i hear god saying if
you’re scared of famine then you’re
scared of me because i know how to dwell
in the midst of famine i know how to
create overflow in the midst of famine
god says famine is nothing to me and if
you’re going to collaborate with me if
you’re really going to be obedient to
what i say you can’t let a little famine
scare you out of your purpose you can’t
let a little famine scare you off of
your square i hear guys saying that if
you’re going to marry that person marry
him and stand up to marriage don’t care
what anyone else is doing stand up to
what god is doing in your marriage if
you’re going to start the ministry
preach the word if you’re going to write
the book publish the book i hear god
saying it doesn’t matter

it doesn’t matter that there’s not a
space for you
take up your space
stop running from who i’ve called you to
be
stop running because you’re afraid that
the provision would run out
because if we’re honest we have these
moments like abram
where we’re so afraid that the famine
will kill our own provision
that we leave trying to protect what we
have left
instead of believing that god can
multiply what we have
man i’d have to walk you through this
whole chapter
but the chapter makes it very clear to
us that abraham didn’t just leave with
the clothes on his back
he left with herd he left with servants
he left with his wife
god sent him oh god i feel this for
somebody god sent him with fullness into
a place with famine
and he was so afraid that the famine
would kill his wholeness that he moved
to a place where the famine wouldn’t
affect him and i hear god saying that
somebody has been working on your
wholeness you’ve been working on who you
needed to become on the inside and
you’re finally at a place where you have
surplus so you don’t want to risk going
to a place where there is a famine
because you don’t want to be depleted
but i hear god saying there will not be
depletion for you that the famine won’t
touch your household but you have the
key that will allow multiplication to be
released in the land so that the famine
can be eradicated whoever you are i want
you to understand that you being
authentically who god has called you to
be
is what will allow multiplication to
reach those who need it the
most abram had to be humble enough
to go back to the place he was afraid of
to go back to the place that could bleed
him dry
and trust that if god sent me here that
god is not a man that he shall lie god
told me that the generations would
benefit from this territory that means
that this famine can’t take me out in
one generation because if the famine
takes me out in one generation then god
was lying but because god doesn’t know
how to lie if god sent me to this
territory i have to close my eyes in
order to survive it and i got to keep
replaying what god said over and over
again i hear god saying that someone
needs to put god’s word on a replay and
close your eyes to the famine that you
see and sit back and let god work sit
back and let god show you how show you
why show you where show you who i hear
god saying that you’ve got the key to
the famine
and being obedient

and abram
gave up too soon
he gave up before god could use his
provision oof
i’m thinking about the little boy
with the fish and the loaves of bread
who was sinned amongst a multitude that
was hungry there was another famine in
the new testament
and jesus was preaching
and that little boy didn’t have enough
for everybody and he could have packed
up and kept it for himself
but instead of packing it up he gave
what he had over to god and when he gave
what he had over to god god says i can
break it and i can multiply it i hear
god saying that somebody’s going through
the breaking season and you don’t
understand why god is breaking you but
that’s because you’re the one being
broken but if you could see what god
sees then you would see that you’re only
being broken so you can be multiplied i
hear god saying that it needs to come
apart it needs to fall apart because you
got space to take up you’ve got a
multitude to feed you got a famine to
cure and you can’t do it unless i break
it down a little bit you can’t do it
until i take you down to little pieces
because in those little pieces there’s
multiplication you call it breaking he
calls it multiplying you call it broken
god calls it increase you call it
humility and brokenness and uncertainty
and god says right where i put you
you’re directing you’re directing
yourself right where i put you god calls
it obedience god calls it sacrifice and
everywhere in scripture where there was
a sacrifice god responded
god responded to that sacrifice
and abram in this text is willing to do
what so many of us are not always able
to do
and that is to go back to the place
where we are supposed to be planted in
order to take up space
when god calls you somewhere god doesn’t
call you there temporarily
god i wish i could make this more plain
when god sends you to a family when god
sends you to a community when god’s
presence leads you to an industry to a
talent to a field
god sends you there with the full
awareness of who you are and most
importantly how you are to take up space
you don’t do anyone any favors by
pretending you’re not who you are
you don’t do anyone any favors by
shrinking instead of taking up the space
connected to your god-given identity
and in 2022 we have territory to take
over
in 2022 we need to invade industries and
spaces where they say that the kingdom
is not relevant
the kingdom of heaven is relevant
everywhere
the kingdom of heaven that will heal
your disease the kingdom of heaven that
will cure your brokenness is relevant
everywhere
and we have to station ourselves in such
a way that we say i’m going to be
planted
and the place that god has sent me i’m
not going to be moved i’m not going to
be looking for someone to reject me i’m
not going to be looking for a reason to
run out of the door i’m going to be
planted here and i may have to lick my
wounds and i may have to learn to
apologize and i may have to learn to
communicate but i’m going to be planted
here there is nothing like deciding that
i’m going to be planted here i’m going
to stick this marriage out i’m going to
raise these children i’m going to build
this business i may have to work another
job while i do it but i’m going to be
planted here because this is where god
sent me and until god sends me someone
else somewhere else i cannot move
because this is where i am supposed to
be and abram plants himself here
and when he plants himself here
he has to learn now
how do i take up space i want to share
with you
three things
about taking up space in a famine
taking up space and a famine because
we’re not taking up space in the place
where there’s overflow
we’re taking up space in the famine
jesus says that the harvest is plentiful
but the workers are few
that means that there was a famine of
people
there were a famine of workers there was
a famine of people who were willing to
roll up their sleeves and preach the
gospel to roll up their sleeves and
share the light of jesus that’s down on
the inside of us there was a famine of
those who were willing to do the work to
stay in position
that means wherever you’re called to
take up space i want you to do the first
thing
and that is identify the famine you see
identify the famine
god where is the famine in this industry
where is the famine in this in this
person’s life i’m in this person’s life
i want to serve who this person is god
help me to see where the famine is so
that i can serve it so that i can be
overflow in the place of their famine i
don’t know about you but i don’t want to
just be in someone’s life because they
make me feel good i want to add value to
whoever to whomever i am connected to
and because i want to add value to them
i have to look for the areas where i can
add value you badge you beautiful you
are all of those things but at the end
of the day if you’re going to be
connected to somebody you got to add
intentional value you don’t do anyone
any services by just sitting up there
looking good you look good but can you
do more than that i want to add value i
want to pray for you i want to cover you
i want your dreams to become my dreams i
want my gifts and talents to be used to
build what god is doing down on the
inside of you i’m here to serve your
family there is nothing more attractive
than someone who comes into your life
romantically friendship wise family-wise
who says i want to serve your family can
you please tell me where is the area
where you don’t have enough
that’s the place where i want to take up
space
i don’t want to just be on payroll
i don’t want to just clock in and clock
out
i want to identify the famine connected
to your life
this is why there are so many moments
where relationships don’t work out
because when we realize the famine we
also recognize that i am not qualified
to feel that famine
if you don’t identify the famine in the
places and spaces where you were called
to you may find yourself serving
something that you’re literally not
called to serve
identify the famine
you see in the industry the family the
community
the ministry you’re called to
what is the famine and how can you serve
it
the second thing i want you to do
i’m gonna call this like b
and one a is identify the famine
one b is begin praying into it
don’t just strategize about it
when i get there i’m gonna do this and
i’m gonna do that no seek heaven first
seek heaven about how you can pray about
this famine god what is the best way
that i can serve this ministry you know
my gifts and my talents you know who’s
on the other side of it god help me to
understand the best way that i can show
up illuminate pathways where my gifts
and my talents can be of service to this
person god help me to see how i’m going
to raise this child we’ve got six
children each of them need something
different they each have a different
famine and i have to pray with intention
or otherwise i’m going to be giving
kinsey something that i should have been
given isaiah and i’m going to be giving
isaiah something i should have given
malachi that to be focused on famine it
means you have to be intentional about
specifically what each person needs so
identify the famine
one b is begin praying into it
god i’m going to have to collaborate
with you in order to take this from a
place of famine to surplus
i’m gonna have to collaborate with you
in order for them to experience overflow
the second thing i want you to do
when we talk about taking up space in a
famine
is i want you to move yourself into that
space
by moving yourself into that space what
i mean is i want you to decide that you
are
going to be called and planted to that
destination
this is where i’m going to take up space
and i’m going to be planted here i’m not
just going to be a visitor i’m not just
going to be someone on the outside
looking in i’m going to move right into
that space this is what abram does he is
returning back to the space that god has
given him after the famine ran him off
because he’s going to have to sit there
in that space so that he can understand
how to change it there are some things
you cannot change from the outside there
are reasons why you have to move into
the inside in order to change it god
himself said i’m not going to be able to
change this world from the outside i’m
going to have to get down in the system
to understand what they’re up against to
understand what it means to be flesh to
understand what it means to have
feelings and emotions and from the
inside i’m going to change it i want to
talk to all of those people who offer
all of your advice and your opinions
from the outside looking in thank you
but no thank you until you’ve actually
stepped into a circumstance and stepped
into a situation you have no idea how
i’m supposed to change it and so the
only thing you can do is pray for me in
the meantime ask god to show me how to
change it on the inside or roll up your
sleeves and pay these bills and raise
these children and build this business
because you have no idea what someone is
up against unless you step into it if
you’re going to be called to my life if
you’re going to be called to my family i
don’t want you to do it from the outside
looking in i want you to be back to back
with me in the middle of the famine so
you understand exactly why i am the way
that i am and how i’m going to change
into the next version of who i’m
supposed to be
move into the famine
have empathy
be compassionate
you cannot
you cannot change a system that you’re
also judging harshly
have compassion about how that person
became who they are have compassion
about the systems that are in place in
that company have compassion about it
and through compassion through
lovingkindness we can convict change
this is bible
this is how we create change
we move into the famine
plant yourself there
the third thing that i want you to do
and this is
exactly what’s happening in verses 8
through 12.
i want you to actively pay attention
to what is depleting you
in genesis
13 8-12
we see abraham separating from lot
he’s separating from lot not because he
doesn’t love him
not because he’s not brethren
but because he comes to a place where he
realized if i stay connected to you
then this is going to create depletion
where there could be multiplication
you have to actively pay attention to
what’s depleting you
because when you’re in a space where
there is famine
and you’re called to be the change agent
you’re called to be a part of the
provision if you are not careful you
will end up self sabotaging your ability
to be provisioned because you didn’t
take inventory of what’s depleting you
you may be thinking about people but i’m
thinking about your ways you may be
thinking about people but i’m thinking
about your habits what is depleting you
where are your boundaries how are you
protecting what god wants to do down on
the inside of you abram was acting
afraid when he moved to egypt away from
the famine but when he got back to that
space where the famine is he made a
decision that i’m going to be planted
here and i’m going to make sure that i
don’t sabotage myself in the way that
i’m being planted
he asks lot to separate from him
you have to be willing to take inventory
of depletion
i wrote down in my notes where are the
areas in your life that threaten to
deplete your ability to respond to the
famine you’re called to
don’t be so focused on the famine that
you miss
your depletion
when i began praying about this message
i felt like god was telling me that
there is a famine
there’s so much noise on social media
there’s so much
activity going on and so many people who
we’re engaging with and notifications
going off on our phone that it can often
feel like there’s so much busyness so
much fullness that there is no famine
but just because there’s noise it
doesn’t mean that there’s no famine
this world this earth can i talk to you
from just a kingdom
level for a moment this earth is in a
famine
we’re hungry we’re searching we’re
broken
we don’t know who to believe we don’t
know if we should be burning weed or
burning stage or burning incense like
the priest we don’t know what to do
anymore
we’re in a famine and we don’t want our
grandmother’s religion and we don’t want
a religion that’s full of rules and
dogma and yet we recognize that our
spirit is still groaning i’m thinking
about romans where it says the earth is
groaning for the manifestation of the
sons of god that is us seeing and paul
is seeing through paul that the earth is
groaning for someone who’s willing to
stand in the space of the famine
and i believe that this is a message not
for everyone but for those who are
coming to a place where they’re willing
to take up space
i am going to make sure that everything
that god placed inside of me comes out
by any means necessary
and in order for me to do that i’m going
to have to be willing to not shrink in
the area where god has sent me
when i was looking at abram’s life i
wanted to understand how did he become
the father of faith
when clearly there are moments in this
text where it looks like he didn’t show
much faith
and i realized that he became the father
of faith because through the process of
time he became faithful
i don’t know if you’re watching this
message and you feel like i should have
been faithful back then and now i’ve
lost my opportunity
but i hear god saying that you have ups
and downs in your faith life but there
comes a moment where you decide i’m
willing to try again
i’m willing to take up space again in
the area of my faith
and that’s what we see abram doing and
that is my prayer
for you and for me
that we will come to a place where we
don’t allow the famine to scare us
i want to pray with you family
i want to pray because
this is a tall order
to meet the famine of this world
sometimes we’re listening to music with
our kids we’re having a good time but
we’re like there’s no substance in this
there’s a famine who’s going to create
that music
they say that
companies that are faith-based don’t do
very well they don’t have good business
skills non-profits that are faith-based
have a difficult time getting donations
they’re saying there’s a famine for
those who are willing to do the lord’s
work but god says i will give you
provision
in the midst of the famine i don’t know
who you are but you’ve been looking at
numbers and statistics
you’ve been looking at the history of
other people’s outcomes
and it’s making you afraid who are you
that spirit of fear
is making you afraid that the famine is

it’s making you fearful that there’s
going to be famine over your dream
famine over your purpose famine over the
place where god sent you

sometimes god will allow you to go to a
place where there is a famine so that
you can see just how good god is why do
we say god is so good because we
recognize that famine could have touched
my house but it didn’t
that famine could have wiped us out but
it didn’t
god you keep showing up over and over
again god is good because god shows up
in famines
and if god sends you to a space where
there is barrenness or emptiness
it’s because god believes that if you
trust him
that ultimately it’s going to be his
glory that takes up space in the place
of the famine

i felt heaven on that
at the end of the day god’s glory wants
to take up space in the place where
there is a famine
how does god’s glory get released in the
earth
it’s through those people who don’t mind
taking up space

are you a friend of god

can you take up space in the place where
god’s glory needs to fall
don’t let the famine talk you out of
glory
don’t let the famine talk you out of
your testimony don’t let the famine talk
you out of your breakthrough don’t let
the famine talk you out of your healing
god says i can restore you god says the
statistics don’t have to matter god says
i can heal your child god says i can fix
that marriage god says i can show you
how to navigate those loans i can show
you how to fill out that application i
am god enough in the famine i know they
say you can’t get it but do you trust
them or do you trust me i am the god of
the famine i am the god of the
breakthrough i am the god of exceedingly
and abundantly above all that you could
ask for or imagine why am i that
because that’s just who god is
and in order to take up space there’s a
new level of trust you have to come to
where you say god i don’t see it
as a matter of fact what i see
makes me look
a little foolish
and god says yeah i can use those
foolish things
stand up

stand up and square your shoulders
take up your space as a minister
take up your space as a professional
i am not just here by myself
i’m here because god sent me
and because god sent me when i take up
space is so that i can make more room
for god and i don’t know about you but
i’ve made a decision this year to take
up space in places i have no place being
i’m going to take up space where they
say girls like me shouldn’t be i’m going
to take up space where they say
preachers shouldn’t go i’m going to take
up space where they say teen moms should
never be because the space i’m taking up
is not my space

it’s god’s space to begin with

and i’m here
to serve notice on hell
and to serve notice on anything that
doesn’t look like god that your days of
reigning are over i feel like someone
needs to understand that the power of
god’s glory being released doesn’t just
mean that you take up space but you
evict anything that is in that space
that doesn’t look like god and sometimes
you’ve got to serve notice on demonic
depression and you’ve got to serve
notice on demonic inhabitations and let
those demons know and let that darkness
know and let that toxic environment know
that there is a new order in town and
this new order is a reflection of the
king of glory it is a reflection of the
god almighty and i am here to take back
territory i don’t mean just take
territory i mean it started with god and
it’s going to end with god and i feel
like somebody needs to start walking
into rooms

recognizing
that i’m only here to take back what
already belongs to god
so if it doesn’t work for me then it may
not be what god had for me
because everything that is assigned to
me god’s going to give me power and
strategy on how to take back
some of you think you’re somewhere for
the first time
and i hear god saying this isn’t the
first time i went ahead of you with you
in mind and because i went ahead of you
with you and mine that space that you’re
in for the first time has already
experienced your essence i hear guys
saying i prepared the way for you
i want to pray with you
i want to pray with those who are like
me and have made a decision to take up
space

i’m going to run this thing
i’m going to be everything that god has
called me to be
i’m going to stop shrinking i’m going to
stop pretending
i’m going to do it and i’m not going to
apologize
i’m going to do it and i’m not going to
cringe i’m going to take up space
because the glory the glory the glory
the glory belongs on the earth the glory
the glory the glory
the earth has got to be full of god’s
glory
and i just want to be a vessel spirit of
the living god
i trust where you send them
i trust that you know them
i trust that you see them
and i know that you don’t just see them
but you see the territory connected to
them
so god i am praying right now that your
spirit would follow on them hallelujah
god allow your spirit to fall on them in
a fresh new way and not just on them god
but on everything connected to them god
yes someone is standing in the middle of
the famine but your presence knows how
to intercept the famine god allow your
spirit to fall over that ministry let
your spirit fall over that gift let your
spirit fall over that talent somebody is
wondering how they’re going to survive
the famine and i hear god saying you’re
going to do it because my spirit fell on
you god i feel a fresh flood god i feel
a fresh wind flowing in this place holy
spirit have your way as only you can let
it touch every part of there being a god
let it blow away their frustration
let it blow away their fears let it blow
away what the statistics say let it blow
away what the book said so that they can
stand flat-footed in the place that
you’ve called them spirit of the living
god i’m asking that you would stir up
the gift of god that’s down on the
inside of them that they would actually
come to a place where they believe with
you they are unstoppable with you they
are unshakeable god make them steadfast
unmovable plant them god and the famine
that you have assigned to them god and
let it yield fruit spirit of god i hear
generational fruit that is going to be
the kind of fruit that it that affects
the generations in god because you are a
generational god
we know that it is not just about us

that if we leave this territory our
children may not eat
if we leave this territory someone
else’s children may not eat if we leave
this territory a generation could be
swept away
so god may we feel the weight of this
moment
may we feel the weight of this
responsibility
thank you god that you’re calling them
to be trailblazers
thank you god that you’re giving them
insight that no one sees with them
thank you god that you’re giving them
strength to perform
that you’re giving vision for them to
stay creative and fresh god
thank you that you’re blessing us
not because of us but because of you
and we will honor the blessing of being
connected to you
by showing up in obedience
by not hiding by not shrinking
but instead taking up space

god may this be a message that sticks
with them
grows them and changes them
and propels them
into
being who you’ve called them to be
