hey family god bless you i’m so honored
to be here with you today to
to take you on a journey in this work
this word and i just believe that
that the spirit of god has already been
moving through worship throughout
all that has transpired in the service
so far i believe god’s already touched
you
and maybe you’re just tuning in right
now and and i’m gonna tell you you’re at
the right place
at the right time because god wants to
speak to you in fact
that’s the whole purpose of the
gathering when god established corporate
worship
way back in exodus chapter 25 it was
because god wanted to meet with you
he wanted to speak to you and he wants
to dwell among you wherever you are in
this moment right now god
is interested and he wants to meet with
you he wants to speak to you he’s got a
word for you we know that
we don’t live by bread alone but we live
by all the words that proceed out of
god’s mouth
and so he wants to meet he wants to
speak and he wants to dwell among you
and i believe
that that there’s somebody perhaps
you’re under the sound of my voice right
now and
and maybe you don’t feel good maybe you
don’t feel good emotionally maybe you
don’t feel good
physically in your body and i believe
that by the time we’re finished together
god’s gonna lift
you and something’s gonna lift off of
you and god’s gonna move powerfully in
your life and so
so i’m just excited to be with you i’m
gonna pray and we’re gonna jump
right into this word today and we’re
gonna go on a journey i don’t know what
god’s gonna do i’ve got
my notes and everything but but i just
feel that there’s a freedom that god
wants me to operate in today and so
and so he may just prophesy all day long
we’re just going to let him do
what god does because we know when we do
so we’ll be better
and so uh so god bless you and listen we
as you notice the the
environment the scenery is a little
different today you know because you’re
in your house maybe you’re at work but
the majority of you are at home or on
your phones or in your cars or whatever
and so we wanted to bring you into a
home environment and and we’ve got
leaders and staff that are here and
we’re going to experience this all
together
and again we’re just happy about what
god’s going to do in your life in this
moment so let’s pray
father thank you so very much
for this moment that you have brought
all of us into
god there are people from all over the
world watching
we might be here in los angeles lord and
in denver but there are people
in south africa and people in germany
and and switzerland lord god people in
the uk people in
in south america god just all over the
world you
by the spirit and through technology
have brought us all here together
in one moment to experience this grace
and we’re so grateful
and we claim right now that we’re not
going to be the same when we finish
we claim right now that we’re going to
be better that we’re going to be
stronger
we thank you god that where there was
confusion there’s going to be clarity
you’re going to clear some things up
thank you lord lord you’re going to
light our candle there’s some whose
candles have grown dim
but you’re gonna light it again there’s
some who gifts have haven’t been used in
a long time and those gifts seem dormant
you’re gonna stir them up again
and cause them to come to the forefront
there’s some who have been in a battle
they’ve been in a war and they have
gotten a little weary in their way of
doing
but you’re going to fire them up again
you’re going to push things off of them
there’s some
who have sickness in their bodies god
and that sickness is going to turn
around things are going to shift
there’s some god that need financial
miracles and financial breakthroughs god
and you’re going to come through and
show them that you are jehovah jireh
the god who provides god there’s some
who have been oppressed by the enemy
and you’re going to break the yoke and
bring a healing to them i thank you
we thank you god for the wonderful
things that transpire
and take place when your people come
together in trust
and in faith with our eyes on you
and so god do that which only you can do
in jesus name
amen amen
i want to give you the the thought as i
really pursued
what i believe god was dealing with me
about what he wanted to share with you
today is
the idea and the theme that we’re going
to move around with today is
is this theme called upgrade season
and and i believe i’m all about seasons
right and
and i think that any wise person should
have a
seasoned mentality and the reason why
it’s important to have a seasoned
mentality first and foremost is so that
you will know how to function and
operate
right there’s a passage of scripture
that talks about the sons of issachar
and how they understood
times and seasons and what israel ought
to do and the way that translates to
us is that it behooves us to know
what season we’re in because doing
the right thing in the wrong season is
the wrong thing
are you tracking with me and then it’s
also important to have a seasoned
mentality because
because uh trouble doesn’t last always
and sometimes man you can be anybody
ever been in just a
crazy season you’re like lord jesus if i
just took
five more minutes of this i don’t even
know if i can make it right a seasoned
mentality also helps you to know that
weeping
may endure for a night but joy is going
to come in the morning
and so if you have a seasoned mentality
it helps you to seek god properly
and it also helps you to be not
overwhelmed when cray-cray
lasts for a long time right it’s just a
season right if you’re going through
something i want you to put it right
there in the chat put it right there in
the feed and just say it’s just a season
it’s
it’s just a season and as i was seeking
out the lord
and i’m like what what do you want to
talk about and it’s an interesting time
right now
because um here in america at least and
in some other places
the world is opening back up and people
are
getting ready to uh enter back into
what they believe their life is and what
their life is supposed to be about
and uh and that’s a very interesting
time that means that there’s
that a shift has come right you know and
and it’s exciting let’s be honest it’s
kind of cool you know you
you’re going out and you can go to a
restaurant and
and i don’t know where you are on the
vaccine tip that’s between you and your
god that’s none of my business i’m gonna
drink my water my wife would say i’m
gonna drink my water my my own business
you know what i mean but but uh for
those who have been vaccinated there’s
another level of confidence that they’re
stepping out with and life
you know you just forget you forgot how
how cool it was to to go sit down and
have lunch with a friend
you know or to just be somewhere so
things are beginning to happen but i was
really
you know i’m always trying to understand
and not that i will ever fully
understand but i like to try to
understand
why you know what i mean like so we you
know we’ve been going through this for a
year and
three months or a year and four months
somewhere in there you know but i always
like okay god we went through that uh
and and because if you don’t reflect and
i talked about this a few months ago if
you don’t reflect you’ll miss something
so there are two passages of scriptures
i want to show you real quick i want to
and and we’ll do some things and we’ll
see how the lord operates today but
but two passages i think that are going
to help us to understand
how god operates and functions from time
to time the first one is in ecclesiastes
chapter 7
and verse 14. let’s look at it real
quick it says in the day of
prosperity and the day of prosperity be
joyful but in the day
of adversity consider
it’s one of my favorite paths of
scripture in a day when everything is
going good in a day of prosperity be
joyful you know receive it take it all
in
it says but in the day of adversity the
day of trial the day of tribulation the
day of
struggle it says consider it’s a hebrew
word it literally means
see it means see when everything’s great
be joyful hallelujah
when everything’s challenging it’s time
to see
it’s time to perceive it’s time to learn
it’s time to
discern right and then what’s
interesting is it says in the next
part of that it says surely god god
has appointed one as well as the other
so all of it is god so so the day of
prosperity is god
and the day of difficulty is god too and
the day of prosperity
hey it’s easy either way shout praise
the lord take it in let me tell you
something that’s why when good times are
rolling in my life
oh i get down i party
oh yeah i because because i know
that there’s another season coming when
i’m gonna wish it would be organic for
me to laugh
well i’m gonna wish that it would be you
know what i mean so you gotta learn
sometimes
you know you gotta you gotta receive i
don’t know whose is foreign but
sometimes you gotta learn how to receive
a blessing
and don’t feel guilty about a blessing
and don’t be bad because your friend
didn’t get blessed you got you
better take your blessing and if you got
to shout and rejoice all by yourself
do it do it do it you’re worthy of
celebrating what god is doing because
there’s going to be a season
that rolls up on you well you can be
like man i’ll show
i sure wish for the good old days but
here is the thing
the difficult days are good days too now
listen i don’t want to be insensitive
man let me tell you something i
i just came out of some crazy days right
some days where i’m like
lord this is not befitting a man of god
you’ve been there before were you like
yo this this doesn’t line up
with somebody who walks with you who
lives for you lay down their life
you know you know you get all funny you
know and god says yes it does
yes it does because there’s certain
things
that lead to glory right at the end of
the day what we’re moving toward
honestly
is glory new levels of glory new
dimensions of glory the word tells us in
first corinthians i think is first
corinthians three and eight
second corinthians three and some three
eight somewhere now i’m gonna tell you
what it says
it says we go from glory to glory read
the whole bible i promise you you’ll
find it if you don’t i’ll give you five
dollars
but it says we’re going from glory to
glory so our path
the path literally from glory to glory
but anyway
he says rejoice in the good times
in the day of prosperity
but in the difficult days and day don’t
think day
right like like friday we talk about
seasons
he says in the day of adversity it’s
time to see
well it’s time to see for god
has appointed the one as well as the
other so that the man can find out
nothing that will come after him a lot
of that was added actually it’s not
there’s not that many words in the
hebrew text there the writer is trying
to give context but at the end of the
day he’s saying that god does it all
so that man will ultimately be humble
and recognize that
he’s not in control right god balance
it’s got
has a way of balancing life out
because here is the truth i’m digressing
because we got a lot of ground to cover
but here is the truth
if it was all always good
that wouldn’t be good your praise
wouldn’t be
if you think about what you really
ultimately give
god praise for i don’t even i don’t
praise god
as much for the blessing as i do for the
grace
come on can we just have a real you know
what i mean i don’t
what i praise god for the most is his
goodness
and his mercy and his grace when i
look back over my life and i think about
not
how it should have been or how it could
have been like how it was
and how god just reached down and he
pulled me up
and he brought me out and then when i
was just satisfied with
being brought out he kept taking me from
glory to glory to glory
god this is that’s what amazing grace is
does anybody know what i’m talking about
there
like like you just got lord i would have
just taken the forgiveness
i would have just taken the the not
dying they’re not
you know passing out they’re not losing
everything god but you keep on
you’re too good if god has been too good
to you put it right there in the feed
just but he’s too good he’s
too good he’s too good and if that’s not
your testimony you just wait you just
keep on serving him you’re gonna go from
glory to glory anyway i’m digressing too
much
there’s another passage that also kind
of helps us
to recognize the way that god works in
jeremiah 18
verse one through four it says the word
which came to jeremiah from the lord
saying arise and go down
to the potter’s house i like that a lot
to the potter’s house and there i will
cause you to hear my words
he says then i went down to the potter’s
house and watch this and it says and
there he was
making something at the wheel so god is
sending the prophet jeremiah he wants to
teach him something he wants to teach
him about his ways
the context obviously there was
something going on with israel but i
still think it is a good
example and an insight on how god
operates how he moves what he’s doing
right
it says then i went down to the pilot’s
house and there he was the potter
making something at the wheel and the
vessel that he made of clays look at
this
and the vessel that he made of clay
was marred in the hand of the potter
so he made it again into another vessel
as it seemed good to the potter to make
okay there’s
so much in that okay so first of all
there is a vessel in the potter’s hand
that he has made now how many of us know
god he doesn’t make mistakes
oh i feel the lord i gotta i gotta sit
in this for a second
he doesn’t make mistakes right yet what
he
makes is now marred
it’s not it’s not what it needs to be
and so
it says he ultimately he’s at the will
and what he does now
is he the lord isn’t too much
he makes something it is now marred
and he makes it again and then calls it
good
he makes something seasons it is now
marred season and then he makes it again
and now it’s good
that’s what your life and my life will
be and god will use
scenarios circumstances
and seasons to continue
to shape you to mold you and to make you
can i take it back to genesis
let me take it back to genesis in the
beginning you know i preached this
before
in the beginning in the beginning it
says god created the heavens and the
earth
genesis 1 1. then genesis 1 2 says and
the earth was
formless and void
and darkness was over the face of the
deep and the spirit of god was holding
over the water
next you know boom formation takes on
again now there’s a lot of theological
implications about that and
you know is that one between genesis 1 1
and genesis 1 2 is that where satan fell
down
and corrupt whatever i don’t care what i
do see
is creation then the lack of formation
and then the spirit hover hovering and
then formation coming
to be again so even if lucifer fell down
that’s when things got corrupted
what was corrupted the thing that he
once made
and then this whole thing came back
again let me just this is the caveat i
tell you got to let me flow today
you got to recognize it even the devil
is god’s devil
oh i feel the hell you got to catch that
because a lot of times we give the devil
too much
oh the devil is the devil there in and
then fighting the devil and all this
kind of stuff not realizing that
sometimes
god will allow the devil to be a part of
the formation
process that produces a version of you
that your destiny needs
you understand what i’m saying so right
here what i love about these two
passages of scripture
is that essentially that they show us
all of the ways that god moves
it’s easy to to detect god in a blessing
but can you detect him
in a difficult situation like like what
are you doing that that passes
for god causes all things to work
together for good
and so and so you have to understand and
maybe you’re in your nighttime right now
some of you maybe you’re out whatever or
you know some of you are out of your
struggle some of you are in it what you
have to understand
is that in every dark thing at
every dark thing
there’s gonna be light somewhere
light lurking i love that genesis one
you gotta study that i like that genesis
one
uh little thing did i describe because
it says that god created the heavens and
the earth and
says the earth was void without form and
darkness over the face of me and it says
the spirit was god of god was hovering
over the face of the water and that’s
just
that’s you could chew on that all day
long but you got to know that even
when there is darkness you can’t see it
but the spirit is hovering
oh god i feel it somebody needs to know
that you felt alone in your
difficulty you felt alone in your
circumstance in fact you have deduced
that because this thing is so crazy
and because this thing is so is so
negative and because this thing
watch this is even so violent toward you
you have deduced that god cannot be
present at all
and that’s not true that’s not true
because even when you can’t see god you
got to know he’s hovering
i promise you and he’ll strike just at
the right time
he’s hovering over your difficulties
hovering over your pain he’s
close he’s close right sometimes he’s
easy to feel god’s hand
you we discern the hand of god when when
we’re blessed or when
well not when we’re blessed because what
does that mean you’re always blessed but
when there’s a blessing a tangible
blessing or when we
you know we feel him when we feel good
our emotions are aligned
with the reality of god’s truth and
that’s when we you know we
his hand is easy to recognize but but
his hover is not
his hover is not because sometimes in
order for god to develop you
he has to cause his hand to hover you
but not touch you
because the it’s that something happens
in the growth between
the hover and the touch i feel the
spirit of god
right it’s almost like there’s almost
like a magnet effect
i believe and you you stretch and and
you grow
when you trust the hover that okay god i
i know that
the this is true or this is a lie the
idea that you’re not there is a lie
i know that’s not true but i can’t feel
your hand resting on me
so your hand must be hovering over me
and so what i’m going to do is i’m going
to reach
and i’m going to stretch and i’m going
to grow until i feel your hand touching
my head
it’s almost like you know my my little
girl and she she’s learning how to swim
and she
actually she knows how to swim but she
doesn’t like to act on what she knows
and so we’ll be in the pool and and
she’ll be you know
uh dad let me i’m gonna swim to you but
she will only go she
she wouldn’t have to swallow she could
really just walk i’m like nah baby go
back further
she’s like dad don’t come close to
complain i’m not coming closer because
you know how to swim
we pay good money for them swimming
lessons and i want you to exercise
that ability to swim and she’s like no
no no no no and she’ll come close and
i’ll pull back on her and she’ll come
closer and i’ll pull back on and she’ll
come closer and i’ll pull back on her
and what am i doing i’m not going to
cheat her
and shortchange her and because here is
the thing
i want her to go even beyond what she
can do
because the reality of it is her
potential is greater than what she
thinks
and so i’m certainly not going if i know
that all you got to do is
just stretch us up a little bit and
maybe take two or three strokes and get
here then i’m not gonna let you get
something that you can just take one
step
no i think god does this the same way
i think that god knows what he’s
invested in us he knows that what he’s
placed in us he knows watch this
see some of you you have fought some
giants i feel the spirit of god on this
you have fought some giants in your past
watch this bigger than the giant that is
tormenting you now
oh god half the battle family
half the battle is remembering what god
has done
in the past that’s the discipline of
communion brunes
the discipline of communion is not that
that jesus is going to go to the cross
again
every time you take communion no he said
do this
in remembrance
of me there are things family that some
of you have endured
but you’re so far removed from that
miracle you’re so far removed from that
blessing you’re so far
removed from that breakthrough you
forgot who you are i feel the spirit of
god
do me a favor wherever you are just lay
hands on yourself again
and stir up the gift of god that’s on
the inside of you
because you are more than you think you
are god has put divine deposits on the
inside of you
and you’re stronger than the moment that
you’re in and i want you to know it
and because god loves you so much and
because god is committed
to your development he will not put his
hand on something
that requires a hover
that requires a hover being shaped again
right you’re the potter
he’s the potter with clay
so it was he created formed it but then
watch this okay yeah
that worked for last season that that
that worked but now it’s
marred in my hand watch this because the
hands of god are always current
they’re always up to date so he knows
that oh
oh terrain yeah that’s not gonna get it
so now it’s marred and i’m like what’s
going on
i don’t feel like myself what’s going on
you know things
things are crazy wait what’s going on
like like these these
doors seem to be closing like you know
you know what’s going on
and he’s like you’re on the wheel i’ll
tell you what’s going on you
i’m spinning you but
you’re being formed into something else
and when i’m finished you’re going to be
ready
for the present moment that you’re in
are you tracking with me
so when i look at the pandemic i shared
this
with campus in denver a couple
wednesdays ago
as horrific i mean what
six hundred thousand in just the u.s
alone approaching six hundred thousand
out there
that that that’s unthinkable i can’t
even
i can’t even fathom that number and
worldwide you know that number is five
times that number
you know and growing and increasing
particularly in some
of the undeveloped nations which is
really um
uh heartbreaking that that they’re
uh there’s a shortage of vaccines i
don’t even want to get into that because
again i don’t know if you do that or
you feel about that if you have theory
about that a conspiracy i don’t really
care necessarily prerogative and all
that kind of stuff but the reality of it
is it’s struggling
it seems like the nations that have uh
found some ways to fight back are doing
better
at this time than the others and that
and that part is sad
uh i don’t want to be insensitive
towards that i’m not being insensitive
toward that because
uh there’s pain in real time um all over
the earth
you know and i don’t want to be
insensitive uh but i do believe
that for every shaking every time
there’s a shaking
uh there is something that that god is
doing
um that ultimately um
could not happen without the shaking and
if you take notes i want you to write
this down
this thought for every shaking
there must be a prophetic response
i mean take a minute and unpack that
real quick for every shaking every time
that there’s a shaking
in the earth god shakes the pandemic was
a shaking don’t
don’t let me tell you something bible
talks about how everything that
that can be shaken will be shaken so
that that which cannot be shaken will
remain
the pandemic was a lot of things it was
painful it was hurtful it was
challenging all that kind of stuff
but what was also in that pandemic was a
shaking
i mean the church got shook like in fact
if you think about it
the church may have gotten shaken more
than any other
organization in the world think about it
because the whole uh basis
the the majority of the basis by which
through which the church
operates was shut down overnight without
warning
without preparation and god allowed it
and we were talking about the devil
there’s the devil we coming we buying
the devil for closing our doors
i i don’t know if that was the devil
because i know some people that forged
through it and kept doing it and had
breakouts in their church
in the hundreds i don’t know
you know i mean teach his own i’m not
you know judgment here but i i don’t i
don’t know if that was the
devil trying to shut your doors i think
it might have been common sense but
that’s okay that’s why we love everybody
we love everybody
and everybody has they have to operate
in their level of faith and all that
kind of stuff right
but think about this this thing hit the
church
the way that the church operates and
functions
overnight got hit
watch this got disrupted
that term that we love come on us
business people
we love disruption come on books about
it we’ve been talking about for the last
15 years disruption disruption
distraction disruption
disruption i want to i’m a disruptor
everybody on your your bio i’m
disrupting no you’re not first of all
you’re not
and the church got disrupted
thinking about it like we we haven’t
been in our building
we took time out we’re revolting now
we’re like well this is you know since
it’s vacant i mean all these stuffs we
wanted these
things we wanted to do but the whole way
that we did church got disrupted
and here’s the thing since then we’ve
reached more people
we’ve our outreach is through the roof
like 10 times what it’s been in the past
years
uh community is you know all these other
things nations have been reached
so like wait a minute so i’m thinking to
myself like wait
this had to be god had to be in this
somewhere
because the things that we obviously
were locked into
assuming that that they were the most
valuable and the most effective ways of
doing it
obviously in god’s estimation we’re not
didn’t that’s something and so and so so
i believe with all my heart
that when there’s a shaking and we’re
coming out of the shaking
and i think that one of the things that
we need to be thinking about in the
shaking and that might be part of this
thing where he talks about in the day of
uh adversity c
is what is
going to be our prophetic response
to the shaking can i unpack that a
little bit
a prophetic response the
prophetic response or tapping into the
prophetic response that must follow
every shaking first of all is the
recognition
that in every difficult season
every difficult time every difficult
season every difficult circumstance and
every single difficulty
there is a word now understanding that
will change your life
like when you get finished crying when
you get finished
licking your wounds when you get
finished suffering and there’s nothing
wrong with that all of us have to take a
minute and say ouch right
we can’t even get treated well at a
doctor unless he points to unless he
pokes us in the spot and gets down to
ultimately where the pain is right
so i i’m not knocking at it we all have
to say it hurts
wrong with that but once you get through
that you have to recognize that there is
a word in it somewhere
that somewhere in this difficulty that
somewhere in this pain
there is a word god will not send the
trial without a word
i’ll fill it there because the word
is what will sustain you
it’s it’s it will it’s what will keep
that situation from wiping you
completely out
there’s a word in it somewhere there’s a
word he doesn’t send trouble without a
word somewhere
right but our light afflictions which
are but for a moment
are working a far greater weight of
eternal glory did you guess that
that’s what paul said in second
corinthians 4 i think
just study the bible you’ll find it but
it says
our light afflictions which are
but for a moment are working
a far greater weight of glory so there
is a word
working in our affliction every time we
go through something
there’s a word working in it somewhere
the most difficult things you’re like
pastor
you’re lying because how could there be
something working in in me
going through what i’m going through
losing what i lost sometimes that word
that’s working
is the word that’s developing empathy in
you
sometimes it could be as simple as that
uh a purpose being birthed in you
because of the pain that you experienced
i have good friends a good good couple i
love this family so much
and they lost their daughters actually
how i met them they lost their daughter
to cancer
and ritiana was she was 13 or 14
when she passed away and this couple and
the sweetest couple you ever want to
meet
and they’re probably watching i i just
love the hendersons
and um and in the midst of that pain
they birthed a ministry a non-profit
called britiana smiles
and they have helped probably now by now
this years ago
hundreds of families
that were dealing with children who had
cancer so they’re all there’s always
gonna be
i’m not saying it’s always pretty but
empathy
there’s something there’s always
something in it
purpose discovery even in the midst of
the most difficult things and so we have
to come to this place
where we have to decide
what our prophetic response is going to
be i don’t want us to just step back
into
you know business as usual no what
what’s the response what was god trying
to pull out of us right
and so and so getting to it begins with
the recognition
that in every difficult thing there is a
word
and and our prophetic response are you
tracking them are you still tracking me
just put it right there in the feed
because i’m being
professor toray not not not preaching to
right this i’m not preaching to them
just you know okay
just right there i’m tracking with you
okay i saw it there thank you all right
um so
so i believe that our prophetic response
and prophetic response
is what is what our new expression is
gonna be
as a result of what we have come to see
it’s what our new expression so so when
i show back up in this new world
and i show back up in this new season
what is
the expression of me going to be
now who who who am i now
as i’ve taken inventory over
everything that i’ve sensed everything
that i’ve heard everything that i’ve
felt everything that i’ve overcome
right if i’m taking all the images so
now now what is my
based on me knowing that god saw this
day before i got here
how am i going to show up in the world
now
as a result who am i now
and this requires intentionality i’m not
just going to show up no no
i’m somebody different now i i didn’t
god didn’t send me
the whole world shook around me
and that means that i shook yeah
everything that can be shaken will be
shaken that means that you and i
got shook a little bit too we didn’t get
shook to the point
of of not being able to recover but we
got
shook so that some things
that don’t make sense for our future
should have been shaken loose
and now god wants to put the new you
into practice
he wants to put the new you into
practice and i believe this new you that
god wants to put into practice
is an upgraded you it’s an upgraded jew
can we go a little further i believe in
this season prophetically
that the quality of our expression
is being upgraded oh god
the quality see everything is lit see
when i looked at the pandemic
and i looked at like how how massive it
was
like how none of us have been through a
trial
a global when nobody here is alive it’s
been through a global pandemic right
we’ve never seen it
never seen it maybe we read about it but
even though you know the
you know the the bubonic plague or
whatever it was you know we read about
it but
but it was almost like by us reading
about it we thought that that was just
it that well
the people who lived there whoa they had
it so bad
wow wow that was crazy
and then that thing rolled up on us
and threatened us and haunted us
and and then we saw the people dying and
we saw the body bags on the east coast
and and we we see was taking place in
india right now and we
we saw friends die and and we saw
relatives die and we saw loved ones
dying like
whoa whoa i’m living in a pandemic
see you don’t move on too fast
because because we got shook
we got shook now we you know we were
trusting god and believe in god and
stuff like that put on our mask
washing our hands stuff like that and
that little tickle come over our throat
and we’d be like oh no jesus please
hold up please jesus not the road to
please lord jesus
i’m sorry lord you know what i’m talking
about
be honest there was at least one time
where you sneezed a little too hard
you cough just a wee bit too much and
you’re like oh no jesus no
no no no i’ll serve you i promise i
promise
you know what i mean that was trauma
this was our life it was crazy
we got shook but i want to know
who am i who am i now some of you i’m
going to
speak this prophetically you’re going to
step back into
positions in ministry
in the workplace in your family you’re
going to step back in
and there’s going to be a lot more gas
in the tank than there’s ever been
before
i didn’t say that better because i i
sense this strongly there’s going to be
see see there’s opportunity out there in
the world and whenever there’s
opportunity there’s brokenness and
there’s pain
god charges his church he fills his
church up
and some of you and you got to hear this
prophetically you’re going to need to
step
out a little bit to get into the
type of atmosphere where the fullness of
your gift can manifest itself
can i just prophesy just for a second
not my notes it’s true
because there’s more in you and and
sometimes
it’s almost like you know i wrote about
i think it was my first book purpose
awakening and i wrote about the
my friend’s pet turtle and the turtle
stayed small as long as the turtle was
in a small tank
but then when the turtle got when she
put the turtle in a big tank the turtle
grew because the turtle watched
was restricted by its environment
its environment limited watch this the
growth the potential to grow was there
the potential to be more was there the
environment
was not conducive and so some of you are
going to be needing to step out of the
boat
and step into new things where where
your faith has to be put to work where
your faith has to be activated
that thing we talked about earlier that
thing that scares you
what is that thing that that both
thrills you
on the one hand and scares you equally
thrills you like nothing else but scares
you like nothing else i’m telling you
something happened to you when you got
shook some things shook off of you
and i think that god put more in you
because what we don’t realize
is that the whole world was on the wheel
we were on the wheel our movement was on
the wheel
our families we’re on the wheel and god
i believe that that will is coming too i
don’t think it ever stops spinning but i
think it’s
you’re going to come out of this thing
as a as a more perfected creation for
the season that you’re in are you
tracking with me
if you’re tracking with me just put it
put it right there put i’m tracking with
you pt i’m tracking with you
and so the quality the quality
of the expression of you is being
upgraded
man i don’t prophesy let me tell the
truth i just saw it
there there are some things that you
have been
waiting for and you have been upset with
god
you have been mad at god you have been
angry
with god because it seems like god has
forgotten about you
and what i hear god saying is i have to
develop you
before i give it to you i feel the
spirit of god
and you have been angry you have been
upset watch this but these are the types
of
moments these are the type the type of
season
that you came out of is the type of
season
that god utilizes to get you what he
promised you
and you’ve been angry with him and
you’re like god i wanted a boo but you
sent a pandemic
but what if he was saying i was some
there were some things in the pandemic
that i was getting set up in motion
because when the pandemic gets finished
with you
you are going to be ready for what i
have for you that’s somebody’s word if
that’s your word take about
five seconds give god praise and say
that word
is for me oh i feel it i feel it i feel
it i feel it
you got to get that i don’t want to move
on that’s true that’s true that’s from
god
that’s from the lord hear me clearly
you don’t know what you’re praying for
you got to recognize remember
we’re always in his hands and his hands
are always
current and his hands always know
what we need and his hands are always
working
and his hands are always shaping and his
hands are always
molding and sometimes his hands has to
mar a little bit
because he has to take you around the
wheel
one good time to bring you to this next
dimension and there’s some things i’m
telling you i’m
telling you there’s some things that
this season
that this season prepared you
to be able to receive this season
is preparing you has prepared you to
receive some things that you’ve been
praying for
that’s your word write it down he spoke
it to me
i heard it in my spirit i wrote it down
and it’s going to come to pass and
you’re going to be given a testimony
while you’re tracking with me i got to
get back on the script here
yeah the quality
of your expression is being upgraded
what do you what i mean by expression
what is what is what is my expression
it’s it’s it’s what we express
it’s it’s our image right and not the
image like the the facade it’s not what
i’m talking about
i’m talking about image when it talks
about we were created in the
image and likeness of god it says of
jesus
he was the express image of the father
that’s what the scriptures say
so what i’m talking about your
expression i’m talking about
who you truly show up in the world as
i feel that see some of you don’t know
you don’t even know what your expression
is you have an id you think you know
what it is but you don’t know what it is
because it is true you can only express
who you truly are oh god of it
you can only express it you can fake it
but that’s not what i’m talking about
i’m talking about
the the expression that i’m talking
about is your divine
presence manifest and revealed
that’s your expression that’s why uh
back in the book of acts
there were um these cats the sons of
seva
and they were trying to cast out devils
and they were saying all the right
things
and they had all the right posture but
they didn’t have the right expression
and the demons couldn’t move you
understand what i’m saying
because your expression i cannot express
what i am not
right all of when it says that all of
creation romans chapter 8
when it says that all of creation is
eagerly
waiting for the revealing of the sons of
god he’s talking about their expression
not the title that they put on not who
they pretend to be
it is who they truly are and so god is
upgrading
your ella rasha he’s upgrading your
expression
and when your expression is upgraded
what you attract is upgraded
you better catch what i’m saying when
your expression
is upgraded see i can only attract at my
level
in business in relationships
only at my level in resources only at my
level
if i don’t believe if i don’t believe
the things that god says are coming to
me
then i can never have them no one gets
what they don’t believe they can have
did you know that you ain’t never said
you never say oh i didn’t never think i
would get that and now i have it
no you receive on the level of what you
believe that’s literally the way
you get what you believe you can have
that’s why you have to pay attention i’m
digressing gosh
that’s why you got to pay attention to
what god allows you to see
i swear to you you drove up here and and
you
probably you some of you passed some
really nice places
pay attention because the beginning
of believing is seeing
so when god puts you in a place where he
starts showing you stuff
that you wouldn’t mind
you know that that fit into the dream
that he’s given to you
pay attention because it’s a seed he
knows it
and that seed can become belief
and when when that belief is solidified
yeah but i digress your expression
though
is being upgraded and you’re going to
attract differently so so let’s talk
about
what the quality
of our expression let’s talk about what
that’s going to look like really quickly
i think that
our expression how we show up in the
world i think is mostly comprised of
these things
how we think how we pray
how we talk how we move forward or go
after something
and how we handle warfare now i don’t
think
that i’m going to be able to to touch
i’m just going to scratch the surface on
those things
our expression our expression how we
show up in the world
right that thing that’s being upgraded
and i believe each of you everyone
watching
is comprised of how we think
how we pray how we talk
how we move forward how we go after
things
and how we handle warfare can i just
touch on
just a few of those really quickly then
we’re going to pray and i’m let god do
the rest i’m just giving you the
framework and you you
leaning to god for the rest so upgrading
your thinking
first of all upgrading your thinking
really begins
with taking inventory
like i don’t think that we could just
sit back and let our mind do what he’s
gonna do
because you gotta remember your mind
works for you
it works for you your your mind your
mind is
is is an agent it’s it’s your agent of
transformation
i i wrote i wrote something down about
the mind i thought was kind of
interesting
uh and this is a long sentence
and there’s a part of it that wants you
to if you have a pen and paper
you know i want you to write this down
but this is something that you have to
know about your mind
i’m gonna say it you can always you know
rewind the podcast or
or re rewind the youtube video however
you’re consuming this content but
but this is what i want you to think
about your mind
my mind is
my instrument of infatuation
imagination and innovation
towards the purpose and vision for my
life so in other words i need to be
infatuated with my purpose and my vision
i need to wake up thinking about it
i i’m serious like i need to because
it’s gonna let me tell you something
that thing that god
is calling you to and is required of you
and and is truly about your destiny
is going to take all of you it’s going
to
it’s going to take so much focus
that you’ll literally consume you want
people to say man you’re obsessed with
your purpose and your vision
yeah because you have to be
because watch this it’s going to require
more of you
your purpose and your vision
and the thing that god has created you
for before i formed you in your mother’s
womb
i knew you and all that kind of stuff
all of that is going to require watch
this
not just this version of you but
successive versions of you
oh you got yeah you got you yeah
not just not just who you are now but
who
you remember he’s got you in the wheel
he’s shaping you
right and then it’s marred now it’s
formless now and then he’s got to shape
you again
it’s going to require all those use
are you tracking with me like like it’s
not just i know you like you think
you’re ready
you know and then that’s great right
you’re ready for this stage
but your purpose requires a version of
you that you haven’t even arrived at yet
so as you focus on it and as you stare
at it you
lock yourself in position to become
everything that god has created you to
be to fulfill it
and your mind is the instrument that
helps you to stay locked in it’s got to
work for you
and if i’m locked in on it because i’m
infatuated with it
i’m i’m obsessed with what god has
created me for
right then my imagination
you’ll be surprised if you stare at
something long enough
how your imagination would just come up
with things i feel this that’s why the
enemy’s so
into distracting us he’s so into
distracting us
because he knows and if you lock on if
you lock in on something you focus
in on something long enough imagination
creativity and innovation is going to
start coming to you
and it’s going to start happening and so
what do i do when i’m
i just start dividing your focus right
let me tell you
you know what will kill a vision unlike
nothing else
another vision another vision
and you’re like oh my god it’s so
wonderful to have this vision no i’m
telling you
danger because it’s going to take all of
who you are we got to get through this
right
and so and so and so he’s going to
upgrade
my thinking i’m always taking inventory
of what’s
what’s in my head my my head just
doesn’t drift
i i’m in control of that right you have
to remind yourself what to think
you you have to tell yourself what to
think and what not to think
there’s sometimes when i say no i don’t
think like that
hello somebody and you look you talk to
me like i’m crazy what i’m talking
myself no
i don’t think like that no that ain’t me
i know i rebuked that thought
hello somebody no you got to get like
real territory over your headspace
no i rebuked that no that ain’t me i
don’t know who that was
that wasn’t me devil you are a liar
taking control
right and not and not and it’s not
simply the quality of your thought life
but it’s also making certain that you
keep the things that are important
the things that represent your values
and your vision in your head right
upgrading your thinking
we’re talking about how to
express yourself we’re talking about the
ways that that we express ourselves how
we’re going to show up differently we’re
going to do it by upgrading our thinking
upgrading your prayers i’m going to run
through these things really quickly in
the interest of time upgrading your
prayers
i want you to pray watch this
like god is on the other end of your
prayers
because sometimes we pray like our
pastors and other than our prayer or our
parents
no pray like the one who spoke
and everything came to be is on the
other end
of your intercession i’m thinking about
that passage of scripture in
psalm 2 and 8. but god says ask of me
and i’ll give you the nations for your
inheritance he’s basically saying
will you please ask me for something
worthy of my attention
like like our prayer life should go to
the next level
you know i mean just what we’re asking
god for big things
big things listen if the pandemic
was big then surely
i can ask for something big the pandemic
was a seismic proportions
so what do you think god is trying to
produce in us as it relates to prayer
life he didn’t want us to be sitting
back
not interceding or praying against the
pandemic
so so so commensurate to the attack
come measure it to the season come
measure it to the warfare
our prayers need to be you understand
so so we have to upgrade our prayer life
i want you to be asking for crazy stuff
like outrage you’re not gonna you god’s
not sitting around like
who does she think she is
asking me for something she ought to be
she needs to keep her prayers small over
here
i cannot who is she no he is moved
by audacious prayers remember
you see how he responded when he walked
the earth when people had great faith
he was like he got excited
i’ve been looking for somebody with some
faith that i can respond to
from the centurion who said listen you
don’t have to come to my house
just speak a word and my servant will be
healed are you tracking with me
i haven’t seen he says oh i haven’t seen
faith like this
faith moves god and the other thing
we’re going to move on because i’m way
over time but the other thing
about big prayers
is what it does to you
it it takes your relationship with god
out of
smallsville out of cute little stuff
and you and god begin to have grown man
conversations
grown woman conversations you know what
i mean
like like like and i believe that the
more you pray even if you you’re
struggling with praying that big
i think it begins to give you the
capacity that we talked about
to receive things on that level i feel
that
so so i used to write my prayers out and
not that i would get stuck in the rhythm
of it but but the reason why i wrote
them out and i wrote them out
when i was in a place of great faith is
because
it would remind me of how big he was
so you come out of a service like this
family this is probably a good time to
write your prayers out
and write down write down them big
things those those huge things that god
is
is is stirring in you right now to think
about
so that when you’re feeling like an
ordinary person your prayers will remind
you who you are
and what you it locks you into
a place of spiritual maturity and faith
and i believe that god will move and so
and so i believe that god is going to
upgrade he’s upgrading your
your thought life he’s upgrading your
prayers he’s upgrading your talking and
this is let me tell you something
i i you know the bible says in in
proverbs 18 21
that death and life are in the power of
the tongue
and i’m beginning to realize and you’ve
heard this before you got to watch what
you think
but but i think that that that the words
that we speak
they’re not simply um the byproduct
of effect i got to say this right
they’re they’re also the cause of things
so sometimes we’re talking about we
think that we’re talking about when we
you know when people challenge you about
talking about something negative what
have you they said you should be
speaking negative all kind of stuff
we think that we’re talking about
something that has happened
but not realizing that even if we’re
talking about something negative that
happened
by us rehearsing it it’s going to cause
it to happen again or things that are
similar
so i’ve learned see and it doesn’t mean
that negative things don’t happen and
the things you don’t like
don’t happen but i’ve learned to talk
about them differently
like full disclosure i don’t know i’m
out of time almost but full disclosure
like
so like recently like i went through
something that just stressed me
out right i may just stress me out like
in a way
that i have never been stressed out and
then i realized something
what was stressing me out more than a
situation was me talking about it
like literally like like my blood
pressure would rise
not because it was happening but because
of
how i was rehearsing what was happening
literally
and i would check it out check my blood
and it’d be up a little bit and i’m like
what
and it would be you know and i can feel
it and now i can feel it you know
because and you talk about it
and then sometimes people are late to
the party and they want to know what’s
going on you’re like oh
child and you start talking about it and
the next thing you know you are reliving
it
you’re reliving it and as you’re
reliving it you’re creating it again
the thing has the thing hasn’t even
happened there’s no threat
it is over but because i’m still
rehearsing it
i’m in trouble so what i’ve learned to
do is sometimes you do have to give an
account but what you have to do
is you have to find a way to talk
positively about your problems
sometimes you have to because sometimes
if you don’t confess it or put it out
there you may not find a solution
but how can i say it in a way that is
positive i walk to this thing and
what i think god is doing right because
there’s always a word in the difficulty
what i think god is doing when he
allowed this to happen was boom
death and life are in the power of the
tongue
if you’re going to rehearse it make it
righteous
figure out okay god you’re not doing
this you know
to to wipe me out i’m not in this
adversity
just because of the adversity i’m
supposed to see something
i’m not in this i’m not in your will
marred to stay there
i’m on my way to become something so i
have to find a way
see this is all a part of your
expression
when you show up differently you talk
differently when you show up differently
you think differently when you show up
differently
you pray differently you you’re
optimistic about things i’m not saying
be
falsely optimistic i’m saying you have a
reason
to believe that god’s going to cause all
things to work together for good i got
to keep going keep going keep going
and so so we talked about thinking
differently up in an upgraded fashion
praying
in an upgraded fashion talking in an
upgraded fashion and this is about and i
said
how you move forward right i think
you’re going to move differently
i think there’s a there’s a boldness
that i want you to have and for some of
you what bonus gonna look like is the
moment that you feel the fear step into
it
just fight fight back immediately the
moment that fear tries to come before it
can even get
in your spirit real good just go ahead
and move into it anyway
make the approach say what you got to
say do what you got to do are you
checking with me
oh i gotta land this plane not
hesitating but
but watch this sensing and seizing the
moment
sensing and seizing the moment right
most
successful people have an instinct about
timing
they have an instinct if you stood and
it was cultivated over some time
and most of the time that instinct is
liberated watch this by the absence of
fear a positive
mindset a positive mentality and a
posture of expectation
god wants to develop your instinct so
that you can move you can
sense it and you can seize it you’re not
hesitating so that you don’t have to
wait until it comes back around again

and then lastly and i think i’m gonna
have to just teach on this but i’m gonna
just drop this seed on you
upgrading your warfare your warfare your
warfare
first of all and i’ll just give you some
quick bullet points some steps
recognizing that warfare is real it is
absolutely real
one two understanding that jesus
has already gone to war for us and won
right then also understanding that
alignment with jesus is what gives you
authority in it
man this is too much knowing that
alignment equals authority and
and then lastly understanding the
importance of not letting your guards
down
i’m going to teach on warf on warfare
really soon
but those things right there you’re in a
war
when god is doing his thing i’m landing
the plane
when god is doing his thing developing
allowing you to be marred for a minute
while he’s reshaping you
our enemy is a strategist he’s extremely
strategic
and he knows that the best time to go
for you
is when you are becoming you the best
time to go for you is when you don’t
feel like you’re
you’re yourself and he will come with
attack
after attack he will come with words and
thoughts
and they will be intense he will come
when you leave doors open when you stop
trusting god let me tell you something
the most dangerous thing that any of us
can ever do is not trust god
because when we don’t trust god we will
open the door to other things
that have strings attached
you know warfare is real and we’re going
to talk about i’m going to
maybe i’ll teach on the next thursday uh
and talk about the four levels of
warfare and
and how to overcome those things i think
i’m gonna go there soon i’m gonna pray
about it but i’m feeling it because i
don’t want to leave you here but just
know it’s real but god
through christ has given us the victory
and when we align ourselves with christ
the same victory that christ has
we have we have authority because i’m in
christ
i can pray in his name and things have
to break
and be pushed back family so much to
talk about i love you so much i wish i
had
another hour and a half with you but i
want to i want to pause
and i want to i want to stop right here
and i want to pray for you i know i said
a lot i
i apologize up front because
there’s just a lot in my heart and i
just wanted to flow but i believe that
that you heard at least one thing today
that’s designed to change your life
and i want to believe god with you for
that this last point about warfare is a
big deal
because sometimes the opposition that
you’re experiencing is not
god it’s it’s the other guy trying to
keep you from god
and if that’s you and you’ve been having
a difficult time connecting with god or
or maybe you’ve had a difficult time
being you
finding yourself finding your way back
to god
i believe there’s grace in this moment
right now for you to get what you need
and be aligned so here’s what i want you
to do
if this is you if i’m describing you
it’s rough for you
right now spiritually emotionally you
feel oppressed
you feel surprised you feel depressed
you feel suppressed you feel
depressed that i want to pray for you
and i believe this is going to be the
beginning of the breakthrough and
you know and if it’s depression i
believe that god can lift oppression and
sometimes
when it’s a depression thing although
god can heal
and sometimes there are avenues through
which god will
use to get you healed speaking
specifically to counseling
and various things but sometimes the
breakthrough that opens you up to even
go
and be ready for counseling happens in
the moment of prayer
and so if that’s you and you’re on the
other end of this and
you need a touch from god you need god’s
grace to come in and help you
and break something off of you i just
want you to put it right there in the
feed we got
our prayer people praying for you
interceding for you right now we’re
already praying for you
but i want you to acknowledge it take
that step forward and say that’s me i
need breakthrough
that’s me it’s been rough that’s me and
i want to open up my heart to the lord
and give him access to me so i can walk
in his power and authority
if that’s you just say that’s me that’s
me that’s me that’s me
and we’re gonna agree and pray for you
this is upgrade season god’s gonna
upgrade and
tell you what if i knew that you were
getting ready to be more than you’ve
ever been before i would attack you too
yes i would the expression of you is
getting ready to change
you’re getting ready to show up
differently wow
thank you lord i hear god saying you’re
not going backwards
and i also hear god telling someone you
didn’t lose
what i’m not going to restore sevenfold
you didn’t lose in this season what i’m
not gonna restore sevenfold
but i need you to receive what i’m doing
father thank you so much for allowing me
this time with your sons and daughters
lord god and
i thank you for your word and i thank
you for lord the things that you’re
speaking jesus and i
and i just pray god that every word that
you spoke
would take root in the hearts and the
minds of your sons and daughters who
heard it
and that it would bear fruit and there’s
some that are saying yes to you right
now some are literally
crying out i hear someone screaming out
to you
and i thank you for your promise that
whosoever shall call
upon the name of the lord shall be saved
god
save deliver grace

i see you bringing someone back to the
innocence of
their childhood even in this moment
right now
but that’s how you see them you see them
as a child you don’t see them as
as this as damaged goods as this
this damaged thing but you see them with
an
inner with the innocence of a baby
i thank you god that you’re restoring
something right now hallelujah

you’re gonna come in and feel them and
