God is better than we think, therefore we have to change the way we think. He encourages us to live in a state realizing that God wants to do more in us, through us, and for us than we ever thought was possible.

we thank you for the cross
hi i have the privilege of talking to
you about some of our
core values as a church family and these
are some of my favorite subjects so this
is a real joy for me today
the four ideas the four concepts that
are pillars of thought for us are
cornerstones of our belief system is the
goodness of god
nothing is impossible jesus blood
paid for everything everything was
settled at the cross and
every person is significant i want to
talk to you about the goodness of god
god is better than we think so we have
to change the way we think
he doesn’t change personalities he
doesn’t go from a kind loving father to
angry father who wants to abuse and
and torment people there’s this
concept running around that is really
disruptive to that
revelation of god’s nature i personally
think the
greatest vacuum in human consciousness
has to do with our living realization of
how good god really is
i want to encourage you to consider that
god
as a father is so kind and so
wonderfully encouraging and
strengthening he
wants things to change there’s no
question but he he is a patient loving
god who works
in and through and with his people to
bring about those changes
beliefs have to have behaviors
that illustrate those beliefs and it’s
my conviction that if we
really believe that god is as good as we
say he is
then we really have to manifest that
confidence by dreaming big it means that
we live
in this this state realizing that god
wants to do more
in us through us and for us than we ever
thought was possible
in fact he promised us in scripture
beyond all we could ask or think
that’s beyond the reach of my prayer
life asking beyond the reach of my
imagination
beyond what i could think that’s his
covenant with us
and when we live that way we begin to
dream we start thinking what could be
possible in our lifetime
what could we see happen through our
family through our family line what
could we see happen in our city
what might be possible in our church or
through this
ministry that i’ve embraced uh dreaming
to see the uh the the larger things not
just more
people or more money it’s it’s the
impact on humanity what kind of
significant role could we play if we
really believe that god was good
that’s the invitation i want to bring to
you i want to invite you
to explore the goodness of god because
our faith
only functions where we know he is good
and so it’s a vast territory to explore
if we see how good god is we will
as a on a journey we will
explore to see what god might do in our
lifetime
just because he’s better than we think i
encourage you let’s change the way we
think let’s explore his goodness
