has been actually on my heart for a
number of years believe it or not it
began as a question you know when I read
the Bible I love to ask questions all
right
you know like questions like you’ve got
knows everything okay why why tell him
what you want you ever thought of that
you ask questions like this it got most
everything why do I need to tell God
what I want or what I need or why do I
need to remind God you know of things in
Isaiah 43 the Bible says in Isaiah 43 I
even I am he who blots out your
transgressions for my own sake and I
will not remember your sins put me in
remembrance God says put me in
remembrance let us contend together
state your case that you may be
acquitted when I read verses like this
isn’t it wonderful that God says remind
me that I’m a God who forgives there’s
any wonder for the context that’s why I
had the earlier verse put on there but
here God says put me in remembrance why
would God want to be put in remembrance
it’s God and I say this reverently he’s
God forgetful does he have a problem
like us with lapses of memory
why does God want to be reminded or put
him in remembrance he tells us so
questions like you know when I read
verses like this ask myself why why does
God say things like put me in
remembrance okay so there has been a
search and of course I don’t I don’t
push my questions to the people I don’t
know I try to not release the questions
until I found the answers from God’s
Word from God himself amen
so I believe that the message has been
born it’s been on my heart for some time
and I feel that today I’m gonna release
it okay and if you don’t have the answer
to this question then probably that
thought is still bothering you and as a
result you’re not praying alright as you
should you’re not communicating with God
as he would want you to this God really
enjoys communication so the question is
this if God knows everything about about
us why even talk to him you know he
knows everything why pray and asked him
to intervene why why why intercede and
why ask God to
come upon a situation and to bear His
grace upon that situation why if God
knows everything because the three
pillars of theology about God is this
God is omnipresent the means God is
everywhere all right God is omnipotent
which means God is all-powerful and God
is Omni Sein which means God is
all-knowing God is all-knowing all right
so these are the three pillars of
geology in regards to the attributes of
God
all right he’s all-powerful he’s all
present everywhere present and he’s
all-knowing amen but yet we see in the
Bible and I’ve read this a number of
times here and there so I’ll ask
questions down to the years for example
doc came to Abraham on his way to Sodom
and Gomorrah and God came with two
angels flanked by two angels you all
still remember and God visited Abraham
in the heat of the day he was seated
under a tree and the Lord came and
Abraham knew who the divine visitor was
and after he he he he hosted the Lord
the Lord got up and the Lord says you
know I’m going down to Sodom and
Gomorrah out because the cry of Sodom
and Gomorrha the cry of your sin has
gone up to heaven and I’m come down to
see whether it is so and it is so all
right then we’ll I know all right
if it’s not then well I know he says all
right those phrase that are there I’m
paraphrasing a little bit but those
words are there because it’s if not I
will know so I’m asking myself why would
go on to come down to see Solomon
Gomorrah for himself if God is
all-knowing God knows what’s happening
down there God knows about this city and
all that and got even knows the future
so why did God say here I’m come down to
see if it is so and if not I will know
okay so things like this would stir
questions in me and then you know when
God finally gave me the answer I asked
God you know father for answers to all
these things in confidence it was so
beautiful alright God wants to be
reminded okay not because God is
forgetful God wants to be reminded not
because he’s not all-knowing God wants
to be reminded because God loves for his
people to communicate to him it is for
his joy his delight and his pleasure
