hey family it’s such a pleasure to be
with you today
i’m so excited for what god is going to
do even right now just let us know where
you’re tuning in from you can just
drop it in the chat you know today i
believe that what the lord is going to
do
is really going to bring just a message
into our hearts that would allow us to
step
into the promise that was the word that
god kept giving me
stepping into the promise now biblically
we learn
about this concept of a promised land
right it’s such a beautiful thing it’s
when the lord encountered
abraham and he tells abraham that you
know his descendants that he’s going to
give his descendants
a land that will be their inheritance
one of the ways that god described it
was an
everlasting possession that this would
bring a blessing for many generations to
come
and so later on we’re going to go into
you know what it looked like going into
the promised land
but we see this about the promised land
that it’s a manifestation of the word of
god
now in reality there’s so many layers to
what the promised land symbolizes
but in simple terms it’s a promise from
god
to abraham for his descendants that
there is a region that god is going to
give his descendants
and it’s about now seeing this promise
manifest
when the time was ripe but you see in
life i’m sure
you may have a promise maybe when you
were a child there was
an imagination that god was speaking to
you through your imaginations and
it wasn’t just this random wild
daydreaming thing that
there was something about the things
that you saw as a kid that you believe
god was calling you to maybe you
received the prophetic word
maybe it was through a dream a vision
maybe in the very scriptures
that there is a word that stands out to
you and you’re holding on that god i
believe that this is a promise
that you have spoken into my life if
that is you right now just put in the
chat just put in the comments
i have a promise and we’re going to look
at how we
step into it and really going to study
it from the life of
a man named moses now
moses is so fascinating to me in the
scripture because
we see that moses is called by god to
lead the people lead the israelites out
of captivity
into the promised land but we read about
what we’re going to look at today is in
numbers 20 and we’re going to learn
about
why moses first of all i mean this is
moses but
god doesn’t permit him to step into the
promised land
even though he was called and appointed
by god to lead the people
now this is really fascinating to me
when you understand
the relationship that god had with moses
moses was the person who god said he’s
like look if there is a prophet among
you
that i will speak to them through dreams
i would reveal myself to them through
visions
god is saying that hey if there is
someone i have ordained to echo my words
to my people
if there is someone i have appointed to
reveal my truths to the people
i meet them in visions and dreams and
all this stuff
but he said but moses is different moses
i speak to him
face to face it gives us this
understanding that with moses he was
moses friend
that moses was not just someone called
and appointed by god but when god looked
at moses
he’s like that’s my guy that’s my friend
it’s so crazy because even there was a
moment in the scriptures
where moses brother and sister they were
speaking against him
and you know the one person you don’t
want to speak against is a friend of god
because god can hear everything
and so they’re talking against them and
the bible literally says and god
heard and when god heard what they were
speaking
against his friend moses he got angry
right it was a little holy anger
and when god got angry i mean he goes
straight gangster
right god just gives moses sister
leprosy
it’s not funny but it’s a little funny
when you think about it now
but it’s so crazy to me because you see
this relationship
between moses and god that god is like
moses i got your back
you didn’t know what they were saying
about you but i got you
look at what i did and when moses finds
out he’s like pleading with the lord
he’s like lord come on now just heal the
lady
but you see this relationship and when
you learn about this relationship
the question now becomes how is it
that this person this friend of god
this guy that god who had just has his
back god does not
allow him to step into the promise
what was it about what happened in the
scriptures that god saw
as something that would not allow his
friend
to step into the very thing that moses
was called to lead the people into
that’s what we’re going to study today
that’s what we’re gonna look at
because as i began to study this
scripture i began to realize
that it was not just about you know god
saying like hey i don’t have your back
in this
but that in order for moses to step into
his promise he had to
overcome his limitations you know it’s
so interesting in life many times we
think that
it is the external factors that would
inspire us to believe
to believe what god says about us but
it’s the other way around
because before a word will manifest
externally outside of you
that word has to manifest within you
that’s why the bible talks about the
word becoming flesh
that there is something about our
position and our disposition and
what we believe about the word that
demands manifestation
you see the promised land one of the
things that the promised land symbolized
was also
freedom this was a place where the
people would truly be free to worship
and serve the lord
and you cannot step into an external
form of freedom
while holding on to your internal
bondage
that’s what we’re gonna see in this you
know it’s so amazing because we learn in
the scriptures there are times when you
see
some of the greatest miracles performed
and it’s followed up by jesus
saying to the person your faith has
healed you
that what you’re experiencing in this
moment started with the belief
inside of you you see what i’m beginning
to learn is that belief is a divine
currency
that with your faith and your belief all
of a sudden it causes things to happen
that things must be must take place on
the earth and things must manifest on
the earth
because you have become the version of
you that is a sign
to it you’re a key i want you to write
that down
for those taking notes you’re a key
matter of fact just put it in the
comments
i am a key you see you’re the key that
would unlock some of the greatest
breakthroughs assigned to your life
when you become the version of you that
god says you are
you see right now i’m just thinking
about the woman that was known in the
scriptures as the woman with the issue
of blood
you see this was a woman who her
condition
if she if she listened to the
limitations of her condition because in
that time
in the jewish law if you are bleeding as
a woman you are considered
unclean and anything you touched would
be
unclean and so by law you are not even
permitted
to be outdoors you’re not permitted to
be amongst people
but this woman decided in herself
that this would not be the thing that
would cause me to be bound
and all of a sudden she goes out in the
crowd and that was part of the reason
for those who are familiar with the
story
where she didn’t want to even be known
or be seen she was trying to be
incognito
she determined in herself that all she
needs to do
is touch the hem of jesus’s garment
because first of all if she makes a
scene and she tells him hey this is my
issue the people would consider her
unclean but she didn’t care about any of
that she said look today
i’m not encouraging you to be a law
breaker but this woman
she recognized that freedom is my
portion
freedom is my inheritance i am not going
to be bound by this limitation
and when she did that she went through
the crowd because jesus when you study
about this
it’s so amazing jesus is in the crowd
and there’s so many people around him
but this woman found her way and when
she touched his garment
the bible tells us that immediately
she was made well to the point that
jesus actually stopped and he said who
touched me
because power came out of me the
disciples are looking at jesus and
they’re like
lord what are you talking about there
are so many people around you what are
you talking about
jesus said no i recognize something is
different
because many times perhaps he is the one
being aware of the release of the power
but this time around someone else is
demanding it from him
because of who she became she became the
type of person
that would demand power out of our lord
jesus
you see this is the beauty about belief
that when you believe the things that
god says about you
it demands manifestation and i hope that
encourages you because
maybe you’re waiting for this grand
thing to happen
for it to speak to what god said for it
to give you some form of validation
but you have to step into it first that
is why the scripture also tells us
that all creation is eagerly awaiting
the revealing
of the sons of god now the son is not
about gender is just about
inheritance and all that stuff so you
can just put sons and daughters of god
right it doesn’t say that all creation
is eagerly awaiting
the manifestation of the word because
when you
are revealed the word will be manifested
because who you become is what attracts
the kingdom the things of the kingdom to
you
who you become is what says there is
agreement on the earth
that god says i see the person who i can
use to do this thing it’s a beautiful
thing
but let’s look at the life of moses
because this will teach us a lot
this will teach us that it goes beyond
just having a relationship with god
it goes beyond just saying hey me and
god we are best friends you know what i
got his back he got mine
i wonder what it’s like to have god’s
back you know
but hey it goes beyond that it comes
into a place that you begin to embody
what god says about you and so let’s
look at this we’re going to be reading
numbers 20 and from verse 7
to 12 and if you’re taking notes my
message today is
overcome your limitations and just to
make this when i and when i’m speaking
about limitations now i recognize that
you know they’re good limitations
they’re good boundaries in life they’re
you know even our life i’m reminded by
the scripture that talks about
narrow is the gate and difficult is the
way that leads to life
and when it talks about narrow it gives
us this understanding
that the truth about who you are is
exclusive that you’re not
you’re not called to be everything to
everyone and so there are boundaries
that god can give within your calling
but when i’m talking about limitations
i’m talking about
a mindset that sets boundaries on who
you can be
and what you can do due to the fear of
failure
rejection or inexperience i’m talking
about the limitations
self-imposed limitations that we put
upon ourselves
because of fear but let’s look at this
scripture
so numbers 20 from verse 7 to 12.
now it says then the lord spoke to moses
saying take the rod you
and your brother aaron gather the
congregation together
speak to the rod speak to the rock so
take the rod
but now speak to the rock this is so
amazing we’re gonna really
unpack this speak to the rock before
their eyes and it would
yield its water thus you shall bring
water from for them out of the rock and
give
drink to the congregation and their
animals
so moses took the rod from before the
lord
as he commanded him and moses and aaron
gathered the assembly together before
the rock and he said to them
here now you rebels moses is hilarious
but i’m gonna give some backstory to
this here now you rebels
must we bring water for you out of this
rock
then moses lifted his hand and struck
the rock twice with his rod first of all
this is not what god told him to do but
let’s go on
and water came out abundantly and the
congregation and their animals drank
then the lord spoke to moses and aaron
because you did not believe
me to hallow this is to honor me
in the eyes of the children of israel
therefore you
shall not bring this assembly into the
land
which i have given them now
just some back story here right moses
like i said was called by god to bring
the people of
israel out of captivity into the
promised land
now go before going into the promised
land they had to go
through the wilderness now the
wilderness was so
necessary and was part of their process
because
literally these are people who have come
from
captivity in captivity while they were
in egypt they were serving
you know they were exposed to all kinds
of false gods
they were going through trauma i mean
they dealt with a lot of trauma
and it felt as though for centuries that
they have been calling
out to the lord and it seemed like he
was silent it seemed like their cries
they just went on deaf ears but that was
not the case
god had a purpose and god had a plan you
see even when you feel like god is not
with you and you feel like god
where are you in the midst of this pain
and this darkness the lord is right
there
and so they had gone through a lot so it
would not be
wise for them to literally go from
captivity
immediately into the promised land
because they have not become the
promised land
they had to become the promised land in
order to experience it
because one of the things that the lord
said about the promised land is that
this is where they will serve me
but the people had some trust issues and
we could understand it right
so when moses is taking them through the
wilderness the wilderness now becomes
the place
where they have to learn dependency on
god
where they have to be reintroduced to
him
not not just from a place of stories
because you see the people have heard
they heard about the god of abraham
isaac and jacob but they had not yet
experienced him so god says look it’s
not just going to be a story
about when i used to be good or when i
used to be faithful or when i used to be
a waymaker
but you’re going to have an experience
of this and this
happens in the wilderness now the
wilderness is not it’s not a comfortable
season
the wilderness is not we don’t like it
because we
it’s inconvenient but when you think
about those wilderness moments
when you think about what it was like
even though you lost the job
but somehow god sustained you when you
think about the moments in your life
where you’re like god i didn’t know
i don’t know how i was going to survive
this but you saw the hand of god the
favor of god
guide you through this is to give you a
record of your personal testimony
of the lord’s faithfulness and his
goodness
this is what the wilderness was supposed
to produce in the people
that hey i know you have only heard
stories about
the lord but you’re going to experience
what it is for him
to take care of you you’re going to
experience what it is for him to fight
your battles you’re going to experience
what it is for him to be a waymaker you
are going to have an
experience your personal testimony
of the lord but it comes with discomfort
you know it’s not like those commercials
that they’re telling you
you know how to get rid of your headache
and there’s a family dancing in the you
know in the video
and they’re also telling you how you
could die
that’s not what the lord is selling here
he says hey
there’s going to be some discomfort but
you’re going to experience me in some of
the greatest ways
but now it now it’s almost about your
focus
because you see in the wilderness if you
focus on your discomfort
it will distort your reality it will
distort your the perspective of the
truth
if you focus on what the lord is doing
it will bring
out of you gratitude you see many times
the shift from complaining to gratitude
is literally a shift in focus
unfortunately when it came to the
israelites the people
they were focusing so much on their
discomfort that they could not
see that the same god who literally
caused a seed the waters in the sea to
be pardoned too
and had them walk on dry ground they
could not focus on that all they focused
on was the things they wanted to have
and
they didn’t have it and it distorted
their reality so much that they began to
panic and not even panic
they just began to complain all the time
saying you know what if god brought us
out here to die he should have just
killed us in egypt but the same people
were the ones who cried out to god
to deliver them from captivity but
because their focus was so much on their
discomfort
and inconvenience they lost sight of the
goodness and faithfulness of god
that has literally kept them through and
so
now in this passage before what we read
the israelites are at it again it’s
almost like here we go
again another thing to complain about
in this scripture in the chapter i would
encourage you to read all of chapter 20.
it’s amazing but in the beginning of
that chapter we see them complaining
and they’re complaining about water
they’re like hey there’s no water
what are we gonna do moses did the lord
bring us here to die
us and our animals and this is first of
all this is not their first complaint
neither is it their first complaint
about water there was a time we read
in exodus where the israelites were
complaining again about water
and the lord literally tells moses he’s
like hey
take your rod and strike the rock
and when moses struck the rock water
came out
but now in this time the lord says to
moses because after the people were
complaining and all that stuff
moses and aaron he listens to their
complaints and then he goes before the
lord
and when he went before the lord the
lord gives him
new instructions he said moses you know
we’ve been here before
the last time you were here i told you
to use the rod
and strike the rock but this time around
i want you still take your rod with you
but i want you to speak to the rock
oh this is so good moses you see
he had a history with his rod
it’s so amazing to me because i’m like
at first it’s like okay lord
moses you know he messed up a little bit
but what was the big deal
why is it that this failure or this
mistake
literally stops him from accessing the
promise
but it’s much bigger than that because
when moses
takes you know he leaves the presence of
god he comes in front of the people and
he’s talking you know
first of all he’s like you rebels
but then moses strikes the rock
and he doesn’t speak to it you see the
rod
had a history with moses when the lord
first encountered him
and the lord is telling him hey you’re
the one
who i’m going to who i’ve called who
have appointed to bring
my people out of captivity and into the
promised land
moses was just like lord i’m not the one
he’s trying to come up with all kinds of
excuses and
arguments he’s like no you know you got
to find somebody else
and one of the things he tells the lord
is how would they even know how would
they believe
me and the lord is like okay how would
they believe you all right moses
what is in your hand moses is like oh
there’s a staff
you know this stuff i use it with my
animals and all kinds of stuff maybe he
picked it up one day you know maybe he
was shopping for
you know in staffs or us i don’t know
but he has this staff and the lord is
like okay
throw the staff on the ground he does he
throws it on the ground
it turns into a snake he panics right i
mean this
is i don’t know if they didn’t have
television back then but this was a
movie
you know so he see the staff turns into
a snake and like he jumps
and the lord is like okay go back and
pick it up it turns back into a staff
now this staff was used by god through
moses’s journey
with the with setting the people free i
mean he it was used by god to reveal
his power against the egyptians it was
used by god
when the you know when they were part in
the red sea it was used by god to bring
water out of a rock it was used by god
for amazing things one of the ones that
really just
um captured me is when the israelites
were in a war
against their malachites and literally
as long as
moses held his hand up with the staff in
his hand
they were winning the war and any time
moses would pull his hand down
though you know they lost their
advantage but they won the war at the
end of the day
because moses was able to hold his hand
up with some help
it’s amazing what god did with this
staff
so moses had a history that this works
this is the thing that works but you see
moses did not recognize
that what the wilderness meant for the
israelites
is what the rod meant for him
that the wilderness was to produce
belief and faith within the people
and the staff was supposed to do the
same thing for moses
because when god encountered moses moses
has all these excuses including
that he can he he has a speech problem
and so when god says you know what moses
i’m gonna meet you where you are for now
but i’m not gonna leave you there i’m
gonna show you
what i can do with what’s around you
to get you to the place of you believing
what i can do with you
that moses if i can do this with would
then imagine what i can do
with you you see because when god was
telling moses that you would go for me
and moses is like god i cannot speak i
mean and he’s like listen
even while you’re talking to me i still
cannot speak
yeah my my i have this you know
stammering problem or whatever the case
was with moses
so probably he expected that god if
you’re going to encounter me
you would at least fix this very thing
that i feel is working against me
and god says i will help you but moses
is like no no i’m still talking the same
way
nothing changed and then god is like
okay moses i’m going to meet you where
you are
you have a brother aaron take him with
you since
you know in your perspective in your
eyes he has great speech
but god was not going to leave him there
you see what the lord began to show me
is there are things that he places in
our lives
relationships people i mean you know
people are relationships
you know positions all types of things
that god
places in our lives to reveal his
faithfulness to give us a record of who
he
is to give us a record of what it means
when god is with you
you see the power was never in the rod
the rod was just
wood the power was in the one who
empowered the rod
the power wasn’t the one who gave the
rod supernatural ability
it was always about god it was
never about the rod and so when the lord
is telling him moses this time around
you’re not going to
strike the rock you’re going to speak to
the rock moses
remember where i met you when i told
you to bring these people out of
captivity you are telling me all these
stories that i cannot speak
but look at my track record have i not
been with you
i mean look at what i did with a rod
look at what i did with
wood now it’s about time for me to do
this
with you you see when god is telling him
this is a moment
that i believe was the test of now
you’re his leadership ability
to take the people in because you cannot
lead people
you cannot lead people to embrace what
you have not yet embraced
you cannot lead people to receive what
you are rejecting
because at the end of the day it was
about belief
the the the promised land was to produce
a mindset of faith
because in the promised land it was not
that they were going to walk in with
their bags and it was like an airbnb
everything is ready to go they were
going to have some fighting to do
and that the types of things that they
would have to war against
it would mean that they had full
dependency and trust in what god would
be able to do with them
you see there are things in your life
that you have to recognize
that it was not the relationship it was
not the position
it was not even the location that gave
you favor
because at the end of it it was there
was a god behind all of it
that released it to you the lord began
showing me that there is this resistance
that many people are experiencing to
change
because for some reason you think that
what you’re holding on to was the source
of your favor
that what you’re holding on to was the
source of your blessing
but it was always about god it was
always to point you to the fact that god
was the one
who made a way for you you move to the
city you see so many times we forget
that even when we moved to that city we
had nothing
we didn’t move with this big plan and
you know an amazing savings account
that we moved to the city with nothing
and it was the favor of god
that raised you up but now all of a
sudden you think
it is the city and the people and the
positions
that is what has given you favor and
access and you’re losing
the the reality that it was always about
god
and it was about god showing you my son
my daughter this is what it means when
i’m walking with you
this is what it means when i’m when i’m
when i’m partnered with you when i’m in
this journey with you
it doesn’t matter where i send you it
doesn’t matter what i tell you to do
because when i’m with you i create the
way for you
what i brought into your life if you
think about it if you just take
some time to go down memory lane you had
no business doing any of the things that
you’ve done
but god was the one who opened the door
and now many are becoming slaves
to the doors that god opened not
recognizing
that there was a god behind the door
there was a god who caused it to be open
in the first place
you see why i’m saying this message to
you is because when god first encounters
a person there are known or unknown
limitations that he recognizes that you
are holding on to
there are things you have embraced about
yourself that you’re saying that
this is not for me this is not the thing
that i can do
and there are things he sends into your
life the way he empowered
the rod that moses had to show you
that if i can do this then imagine
what else i can do that all along it was
about you having
a record of the faithfulness and the
goodness
of god that you knowing that god you
have been
with me all these years what is this now
what what what is this new journey i’m
excited let’s do it god
because i recognize that it is your hand
that has been
upon my life this is what david in the
bible knew
david when he had you know when he had
victory over the
animals that he was you know fighting
and wrestling with he killed the bear he
killed the lion and all that stuff right
we don’t know what else he was fighting
but when he had victory when it was time
for him to fight goliath
david recognized that my ability to have
victory in these things
was not because you know i just had a
good day i was lucky or whatever
he said it was the lord that gave him
that ability
it was the lord that was with him and
the same way
it’s a different fight because goliath
is a different type of monster
but the same lord that gave him victory
the same
lord that was with him will be with him
in this new fight
you see i’m speaking to you because in
order for you to
engage there are opportunities that the
lord is going to bring you into
and in order for you to engage them
properly it is going to challenge
your limitations it is going to
challenge the very things you feel like
god i don’t know if i can go beyond this
you see moses when moses is talking
about his speech i actually want us to
to take a look at this scripture really
quick
it’s in exodus 4 from verse verse 10
actually just verse 10
it says then moses said to the lord but
listen to this
o my lord i am not eloquent
neither before nor since you have spoken
to your servant
neither before nor since you have spoken
to your servant
nothing changed even though he was in
the presence of the one who could do
anything
the lord did not change how he spoke
because there are some things that you
have to realize
that it may not change the situation may
not change
but it is because of the one who is with
you
that gives you the power to break
barriers
you see for many of you in your life
maybe you feel like your limitation is
literally something that cannot change
you cannot change your age
you cannot change certain experiences
you’ve been through
you cannot change the the memories that
you care you cannot change some some of
the trauma that you’ve experienced
there’s some things in your life that it
is impossible
to literally change but when you
recognize who is with you
when you recognize the god that is on
your side it is his ability
and it is his power to bring the
breakthrough
what do i mean by this that you have to
within yourself
the bible tells us as a man thinks so is
he how
what are your thoughts like what have
you believed about yourself
are you just having this woe as me party
waiting for god to surprise you and say
oh my gosh yay you know i don’t know how
people get surprised
i’m very bad at surprises no god is
saying hey
the manifestation you’re looking for the
manifestation of the promise and the
word i said to you it starts
within you it starts with you believe
believing belief is a divine currency
what is it about your life that you have
not yet invited
the the the chain breaker
you have not yet invited the anointing
of god
to make you understand that this
limitation is not what’s going to limit
you
because there are no limitations in god
it is so fascinating to me you see
because the bible tells us something so
beautiful and powerful in the book of
revelation
when it talks about that we overcome by
the word
of the by the word of our testimony and
by the blood of the lamb
actually the blood of the lamb comes
first and the word of our testimony
but when you think about the word of our
testimony is exactly what we’re talking
about
that when you remember the things the
consistency and the faithfulness of god
when you have a track record of what god
has done in your life and not a track
record of your complaints
when you shift your focus from
discomfort to realizing
god it is you that has been with me all
these years you are the one that saw me
through what i thought was going to take
me out
when i had nothing god somehow a way was
made for me
you are that same god and you can do it
now
when you begin to receive that this is
the word of my testimony
we all have a testimony of who god is
that is what the wilderness season
produces in us
you may feel like right now you’re in a
wilderness season
but you would recognize just give it
some time
you’re going to look back and and see
wow god
i thought this was going to take me out
but actually
i saw your hand with me and if you could
be with me now
what else can you would you call me to
do that i cannot that i would not honor
the fact that you would also see me
through
you see when god tells when god told
moses rather
and he said moses you can’t enter the
promised land
you can’t you can no longer lead this
people into the promised land
it was not about god trying to be shady
it was not a punishment or anything like
that
it was not like god was like bad boy you
are not going in there
you know i just imagine that sounds so
childish
but i’m a big kid but god is not doing
any of that
it was literally about the truth because
in order for moses to lead the people
then he must discover his capacity
this was about discovered capacity you
see when god
looks at you he knows the things that he
can do with you
when god looks at you he already knows
what’s up he created you
he understands the ability he
understands that you plus
him equals endless possibilities but you
have to realize that for yourself
you have to discover your capacity in
partnership with god
it was not a punishment god said moses
this
is the moment this is the moment for you
to now
speak in front of the people and
recognize that i would be with you as i
have been
when moses took his default
and picked up the rod and he used the
rod instead the lord said
you have yet to discover what i can do
with you
i don’t need the things outside of you
it’s not about anything that you carry
or who you know
moses it’s about you it’s not your
brother your relationships
it’s not your rod your position it has
nothing to do with what’s outside of you
moses it has always been about what i
want to do with you
what is it that god wants to do with you
what is it that god has put in your
heart that he says come and partner with
me
let’s do this thing together what is it
that god wants to manifest on the earth
through you one of the things that god
has placed in your heart
do you believe them i want you to invite
you into this place
of renewed trust in the lord
to shift your focus from all the things
that feels like a discomfort
and to remember where you were
when the faithfulness of god met you
you see personally as i was studying
this it really hit me
because i have no business doing the
things that i’m doing now
i have no business knowing some of the
people that i’m like oh my gosh i can
call friend
mentor pastor i have no business
but it has always been about the hand of
god what is god calling you to do
and do you recognize that he is the one
that has been behind it all
along where is your
do you have a journal maybe maybe you
should do that
maybe you should get a journal and start
writing down
keep a record of his testimonies keep a
record of your testimonies rather
you see we overcome by the word of our
testimony
and then the scripture tells us that we
also overcome
by the blood of the lamb that’s such a
gift
because when i think about the blood of
the lamb and i think about what happened
when
jesus sacrificed his life it was also
about what was released
for me and for you in that sacrifice
there was the release of the holy spirit
the holy spirit is the carrier of the
anointing
you see jesus was called was known as we
still know him as jesus christ
right now when i was a kid i thought
christ was his last name
our middle name i was like oh stephanie
ek
jesus christ hi nice to meet you christ
mr christ sir
but as i got older i recognized it was
not his last name
or his middle name or his nickname but
that christ was his title
because christ means the anointed christ
was his office
it is his office because we know there
are many
jesus jesus that we know maybe right but
what makes him different
is that no this is jesus the anointed
and when we talk about the blood of the
lamb
the blood released the anointing for you
and i
and is the anointing that breaks yokes
is the anointing that sets us free is
the anointing that does the impossible
jesus even said one of the first things
he read when he started his ministry in
the temple
is when he talked about the spirit of
the lord is upon me
for he has anointed me and he begins to
list the different things that he has
he’s been called to do because he was
anointed for the job
i want you to recognize that everything
god
says about you it don’t start trying to
bring all the
the factors that speak to limitations it
has nothing to do with that
you are anointed for this i want you to
just write that down
i’m anointed for this the anointing is
what makes the difference
god never needed to perfect moses speech
because it was not about how he talked
there are many people that talked
amazing
but they were they didn’t have what what
moses had with the lord
moses could stammer for all you know all
of eternity
because it would be it was about the
anointing it was always about the
anointing that
moses i am with you the anointing is
with you
what could be impossible for you that’s
why the bible tells us that
with christ i can do all things i can do
all things
through christ who strengthens me i can
do all things to the anointing that
strengthens me
that in my weakness the anointing is my
strength
this is what we have when we said yes to
jesus this is what we have
when we say lord i recognize that you
died on the cross for me
the blood is personal to me it’s for me
and as a result the spirit of the lord
is released into your life the anointing
is released into your life
this is what it was about god was still
going to give the people water
but that moment was not just about the
people that’s why even in moses
disobedience
water still came out of the rock and
matter of fact god is such a show-off
that the scripture told us that the
water came in abundance
god was still going to do what he needed
to do for the people he was still going
to
reveal his faithfulness to them but this
was a moment about
moses moses remember where i met you
and you’ve come so far and i want you to
discover
the capacity of what it is to do life
with me they were still friends
moses still shows up again moses said
look my story is not done because
when jesus was back on the earth you
know there’s a moment where moses and
elijah show up that’s another story
but what i’m talking to you about is
that their promises connected to you
their promises with your name on it
they’re things that it is the desire of
the lord
for you to experience and walk into the
manifestation of it
and being in relationship with god is
not enough
because relationship ought to transform
you
the relationship ought to plant the seed
of belief into your heart
the relationship is supposed to do
something to you
and when you get to that place that god
i believe what you say about me i
believe what this this
word that you have given me when your
actions begin to align because again as
you think so you are and so when you
look at your actions do they align with
the person
who what is the version of the person
who believes this things
does that look like you i want to
encourage you
get back into that place of trust with
god
that god it’s always been about you
you are the one who opened these doors
for me you are the one that did all
these amazing things in my life
one of my favorite scriptures is when
god reminds
david and he says david
i am the one who took you from being a
shepherd boy
to king over my people david don’t don’t
you know don’t get it twisted
don’t forget and what was it about david
even before david went and fought
goliath and all that stuff
david was anointed by a prophet
the anointing of the prophet was to
reveal
and to echo the anointing of god that
has always been upon his life
do you recognize that it’s always been
god
it’s always been god that opened the
doors
and the next thing that he’s opening in
your life
don’t back down don’t question or doubt
it
and when i say don’t question or doubt
that because you’re questioning and
doubting from a place of fear
think about what he’s brought you
through think about what he’s done in
your life
and know that with him this is nothing
with him limitations are not your
portion
there will not be your reality and so
family
maybe there’s some of you that are
listening to this
and you know that you need to get back
to that place of renewed trust in the
lord
you know that you have put your trust in
what people can do
you have put your trust in situations
and events and circumstances
but you need to get back to that place
of trusting god
i want you to just wherever you are the
lord sees you
i want you to take this moment as a
moment of surrender
just lift up your hands wherever you are
if you want to kneel you can kneel but
lift up your hands and say
god i’m coming back
lord i’m coming home to that place where
i say
god i trust you i’m gonna take the
action steps
i’m gonna walk this thing out so i can
discover
what you know about me i can discover my
capacity
with you i’m not gonna listen to the
voice of fear or doubt but lord i’m
gonna walk in this thing again
this is a new journey for me i don’t
know what it’s gonna look like but god
you have been the one
who has always been there and this thing
too
you would be there with me i just want
you to embrace this posture of surrender
and say here i am lord and maybe for
some of you watching perhaps you
you don’t know the lord and they’re
things that you have been struggling and
wrestling with all your life
because you’re doing it in your own
strength and you don’t know what it’s
like
to live under the anointing of god
it is the anointing that makes a person
stand out
it is the anointing that makes a
difference it is the anointing that
would have you say
only two words but yet something about
you would
is what is going to take over the room
it is the anointing
that draws favor to you it is the
anointing of god
because the anointing works alongside
the will
and the purpose of god it is the
anointing
and so maybe you feel like god i’ve been
trying to do this in my own strength
and i recognize my weakness but i need
your strength
i need your help i need you lord
and you may have stumbled on this you
may have been watching but you are not
yet committed to the lord
and i’ll say this this is not a moment
to commit to god just so you can get
something out of him no
that’s not this but this is a moment to
recognize
that the lover of your soul is saying hi
hello from the other side right
the lover of your life the one who
created you
wants to do life with you this is not
just about hey let me
say yes to jesus and this will be
changed no no
no no that’s a genie right this is about
relationship
this is about the greatest relationship
that you can ever have or experience in
your life
relationship with your creator
relationship with the one who
loves you unconditionally that is a word
that
even we as humans we have not yet fully
been able to process because we you know
we
interact about with love and all these
things based on conditions
if you make me happy today i’m happy
with you if you say something that
knowing you know what i’m about to be
petty
but god who has no pettiness in him
except when he’s fighting for you
he wants to know you he wants to love on
you
and he wants to do life with you and if
you want to say yes to him
then just put in the comments here i am

i am and we’re going to pray
heavenly father we thank you we thank
you for your goodness and we thank you
for your love
we thank you lord for what is taking
place in this moment
it is the anointing o god that is
causing your sons and your daughters to
experience you right
now in a way that i cannot even describe
it is the anointing and so lord i thank
you for those who have said
god i want to renew my trust in you
that maybe my focus has been off but i
want to shift my focus
back to you i want to shift my focus
back to the testimony that i’ve had with
you the testimony of your goodness and
your love
yes lord and then there are those
heavenly
father who are saying here i
am here i am the lord is showing me
many of you that are going to be looking
at this i see a woman with a baby and
you’re holding
your baby and their tears are in your
eyes and you’re saying
here i am and there are many of you
calling out to the lord the lord sees
you
and he knows you and he said i’ve always
been here
just waiting and knocking for you to let
me in
he wants to do life with you thank you
jesus
and so just say this prayer with me and
this prayer is really just about
the echo of what your heart is crying
out for right now
just say lord jesus come into my life
make my heart your home i recognize you
as my savior my lord
and my friend you gave your life
that i would have life in abundance
and when you were raised up lord you
raised me up with you
and i’m gonna live in the resurrected
version
of myself hallelujah
what does that mean family the version
of you
that is not confined to the things that
want to keep you bound
when jesus was on the cross he took all
of that with him
all your limitations he put in his body
that’s what died he didn’t die because
he has risen
it’s a beautiful thing family and i’m
excited for you

the lord you’re going to see
